Grandma Will Care For You
In 1969, a woman lived with her daughter and her grandchildren. She was known to tell stories that could keep you on the edge of your seat, or shed tears for a sweet love story. She became sick with thyroid fever suffered until she finally stop breathing. Her family was devastated. Even the 4 year old little girl missed her grandmother.
A couple of months later, the little girl grew happier. Her mother wandered into the little girls room to find the little girl sitting on the bed, talking to the rocking chair that slowly rocked and she looked up smiling.
“Do you see her mama?” she questioned. The family left to move to Florida later because her mother feared what the house was doing to her daughter.
Thirty years later, the little girl became a mother, she came back to that old house and still felt the same comforting feeling. She decided to build a two story house next to it. In the great room of that old house, the wood around the fireplace feels warm to the touch, like it was burning wood recently. If you stand near the windows on the outside the blinds are bent slightly like someone is watching you. Then when you look away and suddenly look back, the blinds are straight. The grandmother’s spirit must still reside in that house to this day, watching over it.

Anyone interested in the paranormal, I am co founder of a local group in Fayetteville, North Carolina. My partner and I are looking for some new members willing to go on investigations. We have already partially investigated the Vander Light haunting. We still have to go back to with our equipment, but we did catch pictures of several orbs and ectoplasm. Our contact info is on our web site. http://www.namghs.com.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!!

“Grandma, will you make me some cookies?”
“Ah yes chile, one day you will grow up and you will be able to bake your own cookies.”
I knew Grandma was trying to get out of baking cookies for me, but she knew she couldn’t, as I had chained her to the stove.

I believe you but if you had some picture of the house. What you should do is to go in the house and take pictures of every room and see if you get anything that you think is the ghost of the grandmother.
Comment by April Mullins | 10.30.2006 | 6:41 pm
Guys, you don’t need to CRITIQUE this story. It’s makes the one who posted it feel horrible. Also, there is a “thyroid” fever…you can look it up in any research book on (infectious) diseases. I LOVE this ghostly tale!

I’m from Roseburg Or. and we do have alot of haunted houses. I’ve seen my few shair of spirits because of my spiritual background but to me, nothing would make me feel safe is having a love from the other side watching over me. My mother passed away before the birth of my twin sons and she was in the birthing room with me when I gave birth both my sister saw her and felt her and smelled babysoft prefume that she wore all the time and she was sing her favorite song at the birth of my boys. All my sister Billie and my self could do was cry and thank
creater for my mom to be with us.
thank you,

Hi I am Tiffani and if I may say so I think the story is very cute. I am 14 and live on Camp Lejuene. I hear of murders quite often living here but they are all scary. I think it is sweet that the grandma would stay there and be with her grandaughter. The mother just moved them away because she was scared for her child. You people need to understand that. And so what is the spelling of how she died was wrong get over it. Life goes on any way…just not for her. I just hope the grandma lives in peace and quiet.
Comment by Tiffani | 10.5.2007 | 9:15 pm
…what a fun story! …and by the way, Kelli’s comments above, are like, ok, too “dumb”, ok, like really, and you know, like how would, like she REALLY know, ok, what is true or untrue, ok?
Comment by Jeffrey | 10.19.2007 | 5:34 am
I think this is a really good storie, but there’s nothing scary about it. It’s more comforting than it is spooky. If you ask me this is not a ghost story it’s more of a guardian angel thing.
Comment by LUKEaRizzy | 10.31.2007 | 12:08 pm
I wanted to comment on wolfpony’s comment, wow!! that was very sweet, to know that your mom was there to see the birth of your twins. Even though not physically, but in spirit and in your heart. Your comment gave me chill bumps. Thanks

WOW that story is interesting that girl must have been brave to be so hsppy and calm around a ghosts prescence even if they are from her family. It would be cool to experience interaction with a ghost like that though I hope it would be friendly:)
Comment by kuu | 01.16.2008 | 6:04 pm
