Gravity Hill
About sixty years ago, an elderly woman was making her way up this hill when her car ran out of gas. The woman got out of her car and began pushing it up the hill. She was not very strong, however, and eventually, the car rolled backwards on top of her. As she lie there, injured, an oncoming truck ran over and killed the woman. Today, if one puts his car in neutral at the bottom of the hill, the old woman will push it to the top.

well go to wikipiedia and type in gravity hill. what appears to be the bottom of the hill is actually the top (as in Mary (ex Mooresvillian)’s post). the surrounding landscape blocks the horizon from view therefore you cant use it to judge whats level or not.

hello everyone. As far as how to get to Gravity Hill. Drive through Mooresville on what is called 144 turns into 42 after the other side of Mooresville you will cross a bridge. Take the next right. That is Keller Hill Road. Drive down Keller hill road till you find a BIG hill you will know it when you get there. Best thing to do is turn around and go back down the hill. When you get to the bottom of the hill there is a little hill right after the big hill. Put your car in what seems to be the “valley” between these two hills and put it in neutral. Your car will roll up the small hill. I have actually been pushed up the hill and after that coasted all the way back to 42. As far as the flour on your car and hand prints I have never tried that. I have been there many times and next time I go I might try the flour. If anyone needs more directions please feel free to e-mail me. RWMiracle2@aol.com Thanks

Bring baby powder when you go. Another story about this would be that kids in a bus reck and past away there. if you stop on the tracks and turn your car off you will be pusted up the hill and when you get up it you can see little hand prints on your trunk.

but if u think about it its not about gettin tired about pushing them…they are there for ever and they dont want other people to have the same fate that they did. If u think about it maybe thats wat draws their frantic spirits is the person that is or may be in danger.

There is the same story in Princeton Kentucky. Except the woman was a young lady, and her car didn’t run out of gas she was assulted. But the effects are the same, if you put your car in neutral she will push you up the hill and sometimes if you look in your rearview mirror you might catch a glimpse of her.

This is why people as a whole are so miserable. If you try to be happy, someone inevitably has to come smash everything you find good and exciting in the world. You naysayers can’t just say, “oh that’s not exactly what I believe but everyone is entitled to their own opinion,” instead of tearing apart other peoples’ beliefs? Jeez. I believe in ghost and things of the sort because that was my up-bringing. Therefore, NO ONE is going to be able to make me believe that my family was wrong and that I am wrong. But I do not tear apart people that don’t believe. They have every right to look at things logically and scientifically and try to explain things. And others have the right to believe in ghosts and have some excitement in life. Lighten up world.

At the risk of being a buzzkill, I need to remind everyone that many of the more popular ‘gravity hills’ are monitored by the police – they may ticket you for obstructing traffic or whatever. Know Before You Go!

Ok this is truly hilarious ok I’m a life long resident of mooresville and gravity hill is one of the only attractions in our town but who’s really interested in a simple gravitational abnormality so a groupe of the kids at the high school (me included) made up this story and spread it around and later posted on a couple gohst blogs I had no idea it became so widely bealeaved. Also there were no train tracks in the area at any point in the towns history if your looking for a real haunt in the town try the town antique market (some creepy sh*t goes down in the basement) or john dillingers home ( not hauted just cool)

Gravity hill is just west of the intersection of 42 and Keller Hill Rd. It doesn’t work as good as it did years ago before they re-paved it.
