I personally havent seen the house before it was renovated….i was too young to remember. the owner of the “dominion house” is a family friend. but i have a friend who is older than me and she explored it back in the 90’s before our friend renovated it.
She went with a group of 6 people….and they even went through some of the dorms and the main building. My friend says that once they got in there, the flashlights went out and they got seperated. She says they put new batteries in right before they went in, but they died within 10 mins O_O. So she got lost, and her flashlight flickered on and off. she said that there were papers everywhere, and some odd drawings on the wall that looked like they were blood. She said that she saw some dead animals too. But the creepy thing is, she found the indoor pool and there was a banner in there. She read it and it originally said “Your children will be welcome here” Exept the part that says “will be welcome” was crossed out with blood and it said “Will die” But she wandered around and ran into one of the people she came in with, but the person didnt see that it was her and he ran. But she made her way out. but imagine wandering those halls alone O_O. she also broke into that old hospital out here too….she says it wasnt near as bad as the orphanage.
I want to go to the hospital, but the cops watch it now. and the blue bell saloon? the story behind it is creepy too. it used to be a bordello where young girls were bought as sex slaves…one girl refused and was beaten to death by the owner. she haunts that building…and i believe it. something always seems off when im near it. same with the dominion house…..my prom is gonna be held there and im kinda nervous.
And the stone lion inn? Something feels wrong near there too.
The Masonic Temple….it feels evil.
This whole town dosent feel right…and nobody that lives here converses about all these hauntings. i guess because they ARE real…… ive lived here all my life. i love this town but some days…..idk i just wish it was more homely and not so morbid and ominous.
The Orphanage was a torture house…..ive read some things where people say that they saw small closets with sinks inside? Why would you have a closet with a sink if it wasnt for torture?
I love this town…..but it sometimes scares me to death to sleep here.

Ok im Kaysey im 13 and me and my friend went to this house on my street and my neighbors say it is haunted and a man and three children died in there so me and my friend “broke” in the house by smashing the window with a hammer i know stupid but the door was locked any ways so we climbed inside and looked around we didnt see anything but then we heard random smashing sounds and a little boys voice and then somthing or someone knocked a cup off the table so we got freaked out for a min staring at the cup that was on the floor we started too leave but then my friend said “lets check out the rest of the house real real quick” and then leave and so we did….and so we went to the back bedroom and then we heard smashing again in the bathroom and so we went too look and we saw nothing but broken glass….and out of the blue footsteps walking down the hallway there was nothing there but footprints then we left were thinking about going back again should we?

I’m Kaysey and i’m 13. My neighbors and my friend were saying that the house down the street was haunted. They told me a man and three kids lived there and one day they heard screams and crying not just a regular cry but a horrifing one. So when the police came no one was found in the house….strange right? gets scarier. Well my friend (Nikki) and I decided were going too break inside that house. So we break the door glass with just a hammer!. When we get inside we look around a little bit.. Then we saw a cup fall off the counter we started to leave but then Nikki said,”Lets look around a little bit more then we can leave,” so we keep looking and were in the back bedroom now. Then we heard glass breaking, it was coming from the bathroom we look in there and saw nothing but broken glass. But then we heard something coming from the hallway and they were footsteps. nothing was there but footprints and we freaked out! So we left and now were thinking about going back. Should we????

I’ve been to the boys home several times…. before and after the renovation. The first time we went,My ex husband and I stayed in the front by the gates because he said he had a bad feeling… the group that went with us went in through a western window. While we were standin out from we looked up, and above the doors there were two side by side windows… We seen 2 children in the windows.. It was like they were playing peek-a-boo… they would duck under the window sill then pop back up… it was freaky…. then at 2 am we were looking at the bell tower… there was a book in the window.. standing up…. when we heard what sounded like a bell, the book gently layed over… I tried to get a friend of mine who was inside to go up and get it but the stair case had rotted away and he couldnt get to it… about half an hour later every one of our friends ( 6 total ) came running full speed out of there and kept running… Still to this day we dont know what scared them.. they wont talk about it…. Later, my sister and some friends went back… they met up with some others from town. They were in the basemen… she said that there was an old car down there and ALOT of papers.. she has some but will not show them to any one… She said that while they were down there all of their flash lights went off and when she turned to her friend there was a little girl standing there.. she said that all she could do was cry….she then heard a scream and the flash lights came back on and one of the girls that was with them was missing… they told authorities and an investigation was opened. They still to my knowledge havent found the girl.. We all stopped going after that…. when the place was purchased and renovated, I went back… standing out side the gate I seen the same cat that was there before… ** shivers ** that cat had been ran over so many times and it still lives…. I seen the same kids in the window and still heard the bell toll.. It doesnt matter what they do to the place… the spirits are still going to roam there… all of the tunnels under guthrie at some point will lead to the home…. it is definately a place of great spiritual energy… if you ever get to go inside.. open your self up to the paranormal and you will see…. also watch out for the lady on the north eastern corner… the one with the red lights in her window… she watches over the place.. shes creepy….

I never got the chance to see this place before it was renovated. My wife said it was really creepy. It looks like a good place for some ghost stories, but none of them are true. My wife did a report on the legends for a folklore class. After a lot of research, she found and talked to many people who lived there. The children were treated very well even after they were too old to stay there. There were no bodies found in the basement and no murdering headmistress. Creepy places tend to get embellished and anyone who “sees” something there just wants to or is making it up. There are many more haunted places, but this is not one of them. All the “stories” are not true.

I’ve lived her all my life..52 years and i’ve known people who actually lived there. i agree…it’s folklore. But one day my daughter and i drove to the rear (before it was bought by a private person) and we walked around in it. It was in a terrible state of disrepair but I’ll admit it was weird. We saw nothing or heard nothing, just an old place with the usual noises. It was daylight not darkness. All the same, I don’t think they could have dragged me in there iat night.

I Have a very good friend that is a Security Officer at the Oklahoma City Zoo, He claims that he and other Officers have seen a women in the early morning hours with long dark hair by Aquatics center and when they go to investigate she is nowhere to be found. This has happened several times. I have tried to find what may have happened in that area but have had no luck.

Lived in Guthrie my whole life and I just love to hear all these nonsense stories. The Mason Childrens Home is 90yrs old, of course you would have seen runned down, old, tore up property. SO CREEPY. The stories you year from when it was a foster home, i’m sure are fabricated and not everything YOU heard IS true. Yes, terrible things happened. HAUNTED? doubt it.
