I am going to the boys home in el reno tomorrow night with my fiance and some of our friends. ive heard all these rumors about hauntings there and I wanna get scared. ha. I am a firm believer in ghosts and actually lived in a house that was occupied by 2 spirits. I cant wait to see whats actually still residing there

I grew up in Edmond and I can tell you I visited, “The Orphanage,” many times. In the 90’s the building was not equipped with motion sensors and camera’s. The cops never even bothered driving by because the place is so enormous. We crept into building and hall ways in the pitch black only to leave with memories that even to this day you can’t put into words. The very back building we discovered was a morgue. My friend and I wanted to do a report on the history and found some general bricks with names all stacked into ONE PILE. We brought some to research names and unloaded some on the front porch of my friends house. My mother paged me only to learn that as we were instructed to immediately return to my friends house to be greeted with 4 patrol cars and her dad. The one pile of bricks became tombstones and we took them back by police escort. When the cops arrived with us and saw the pile and shook their heads in disgrace, not to mention we weren’t lying. Creepy

I just gotta say that some strange things have been happening in my house for the past few years. My great grandmother actually died in my bed room, freaked me out just seeing her lying in my bed dead. Anyways, my sister bought a weegie board and decided to be stupid and play with it, asking if my grandmother was still in the house. The board spelled out yes. The next night, me and my brother luke wee in the living room watching t.v and suddenly a six foot tall figue walked past me that looked like an six foot tall boy with blonde hair that looked just like my other brother tanner. So i called out to the person thinking it was my brother a few times getting louder everytime. Then my brtoehr tanner came out of his room and was like “what”. I felt the room get really cold as i realized what just happened. It freaked me the hell out. Then a second time me and my mother were fighting over something, keep in mind that my grandmother and mother were like a tag team couple. Anyways i made a joke about my grand mother haunting the house and that night while i as sleeping one of the blades off of my ceiling fan broke off and flew right over my head while i was sleeping.

No, our company lost the contract and the new owners didnt want to spend the cash on any protection for the building. But I must say, that was about 2 years ago and I havent been back by since then.

I used to be a security guard that did citywide patrol and was responsible for a ton of places in the OKC area. One place that I had to go walk every night really gave me the creeps. it is an abandoned factory near NW5th and Ann Arbor. It is called Quebecor world. We used to hear things in there and find things moved even though noone is there and there is a huge fence around it. We found records that told of a worker being crushed under machinery before the plant closed. A cool pl;ace to explore.

the boys home is now a mansion owned by some rich guy. He redid the whole grounds years ago. The masonic temple is massive and it’s full of trap doors and hidden rooms. It’s a cool place, and yes the old hospital was destroyed mainly because it was a eyesore but also because of all the kids that would always break in ghost hunting

I drove through Guthrie over the weekend looking for yard sales. I was also kind of interested in finding the Guthrie boys home. I didn’t find it, I don’t think, but I came across the masons HUGE stone temple. This is an impressive sight to behold. With the size of the thing, along with the top quality products, it looks to be valued somewhere in the millions of dollars.
Also, the old hospital finally got torn down. Probably too many safety issues with kids trying to ghost hunt.

My Daughters and I stayed one night at the Stone Lion Inn, we had a good time, had the murder mystery dinner….that was sooooo great. But the main thing that happened is during the night, someone kept pulling the covers off my Daughter’s side of the bed and a cold hand rubbed her leg. And her leg was ice cold. needless to say we didn’t stay another night. Even have a picture of that bed ant where it happened! Anyone that really wants a truly spooky night….go to the Stone Lion Inn….it is truly haunted!
