Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Harville House

Statesboro, Georgia

Two old ladies once resided in this house, but when they died, no one noticed, and all their possessions remained. Today, a blue light can be seen in a window at night, and brave persons who have ventured inside have reported seeing the two women rocking in their chairs.

Blue light huh? I looked at the outside at night, and went in during the daytime. The only things creepy and scary were the wasp nests on the outside and floor that almost fell through. There’s really not much to it.

Look my family owns the harville house and it is not haunted. We are getting very sick of people showing up. If you get caught here we will shoot any trespassers!

You tell em David! It’s just an old house that’s falling down. You would be a complete idiot to go inside this house. There are signs posted so just take your pics and leave.

I am amazed by some of the things I’ve seen here on this website. Instead of keeping with the theme at hand it’s been turned into a blog for threats and old lady strap on humor. I live in the statesboro area and work in mental health for the last few years. You do not have to be crazy to believe in hauntings. You do not have to be psychic to see ghosts. But you have to be stupid to type some of the ignorant stuff that is on this website! If the house is haunted, then repect it for whatever reason has caused it to be. If it is not haunted then respect it as private property and part of a family’s history. I heard about the Harville House tonight from my fiance. We were talking about strange occurrences when she told me about her incident at the Harville House. A few years ago, she and four of her highschool friends from Southeast went there. She and one friend went upstairs. There were mirrors there. While looking in the mirror, they saw a little girl with one tattered ribbon and one tied ribbon in her hair. When they turned around they saw nothing. When they looked back in the mirror they saw the little girl shuffle her way to a piece of broken glass on the floor. When she turned away from the mirror, she saw the piece of glass suspended in air. At this point they heard a scream downstairs from one of the other friends. As soon as they moved to run downstairs the piece of glass flew and shattered against the wall right where her friend was just standing. When they got downstairs, their other friend had been stabbed in the leg with his knife. They freaked out and went out to their car which would would not crank, but the lights were flashing and the stereo was blaring. They pushed it down the road. Once they left the property the car crank and they took their friend to the emergency room.
Of course I believe my fiance. I know Holli has to make a living too, so cut her some slack. Just comment on what is believed to be true and not posting some **** that you think is funny. Oh yeah, it ticks me off to know that the school that I graduated from with a bachelors and two masters degrees has somehow managed to allow such idiots into its hallways who cannot even spell “COLLEGE!!!”

Hi !
A Swede whos intrested in ghosts have follow this silly thread :) .

I wonder If somebody does NOT se a ghost while there, ist that a proof for the place not being haunted?
Everybody does not se ghosts and ghosts does not appear on demand.

Then its pretty obv. that the pp close to the family deny the fact cause they want the place to be left alone.

I am the Organizer of a Paranormal Investigation Group based out of Savannah named SPIRIT (Savannah Paranormal Indepedent Research and Investigation Team). I live in Statesboro and while researching haunted homes in the area, myself and another asst. organizer found this site. I must say that some of you are definitely gutsy! Some of the places we’ve went haven’t been the greatest idea (try climbing through a tunnel to get into the Old Savannah Jail. Creepy stuff!) and we could’ve gotten in trouble if caught, but to go into a home that you’re clearly not welcomed into, that’s wrong. The family who owns this house have asked Holli not to write about it because of the people who come to the home, they’ve came to this site and politely asked for people not to go into it; I mean seriously, what more do they need to do?

There’s a family who owns this home and they’re not only trying to preserve it, they’re trying to protect you from harm and themselves from a lawsuit! I went and looked at the pictures on Photobucket and WOW! Talk about a condemned house! The thing is falling apart!

I agree with whomever mentioned earlier to walk outside and admire the beauty of the house. We plan on visiting the OUTSIDE of the house but ONLY with permission from the family, and taking some pictures. If the house is haunted then great, but atleast respect the living enough to help preserve what they have, rather than trashing it. Even if you take nothing and break nothing, your weight alone will clearly cause the house damage at this point.

“ghosts” are not real… the devil is… and your mind is.. your mind plays more tricks on you than you could imagian.. and if your weak minded.. stupid.. or weak in religion.. then you’ll allow the devil to play tricks..most people on here are annoying.. and stupid… its a ******* house.. enjoy the visit, when you hear a noise… remember the house is old as hell. and run down.. your GOING TO HEAR SOMETHING… as far as seeing things.. ur a idiot.. or weak…

thats the truth.. everyone needs to stop wondering.. if you want to really get scared… just ask the devil to show himself while in the house.. (unbelivers that is) and im sure he will.. YAY for you.. TRUTH = this.

I just looked at the pictures of the house and I can’t understand how anyone could ever let any house that beautiful fall into such a state of disrepair.that in itself is truly a crime.

Okay so a house that is “haunted” or not should not be let go to the point it is in. I understand the Harvilles may not have had the money to fix the place up they could have donated the house and the land to a local historical society…(BTW Do we have any of those around here in Statesboro) But enough about that…

GHOST ROAD!! I wanna hear everyone’s take on the ghost road thing. HMMMM makes me wonder…

Also some people on here need to GROW UP!!!
