Real Haunted House

Harville House

Statesboro, Georgia

Two old ladies once resided in this house, but when they died, no one noticed, and all their possessions remained. Today, a blue light can be seen in a window at night, and brave persons who have ventured inside have reported seeing the two women rocking in their chairs.

According to “Spirit Of A People-Bulloch County 1796-1996″,the haunting story originates from the 1950′s and is because one of the Harville daughters who had taken ill was seen through a window wearing a white gown on occasion. It goes on to say that a lot of the damage to the house was done by vandals and kids trespassing on the property. In highschool,a group of friends and I went out there one night and nothing happened. Saw,heard,&felt paranormal things elsewhere, but not there. Oh,and Ghost Road(Railroad bed rd.)in Brooklet has no spirits on it either…just a local legend. Believe me,it’s spooky looking, but i’ve spent a lot of time hunting & riding there & also in highschool we’d jump out with lights & scare hell out’ve people, but never personally had an experience there.
