In Jerome, also, ghosts reside in the old hospital building, now the Grand Hotel, and the hotel downtown. The cribs in Husbands’ Alley are said to be haunted as well.

ah i know what u are talkin about. i have been to jerome 1 too many times. i have seen a lot of crazy stuff there.

I went there in 1979 and took a picture (still have it) of a closed mine shaft. There is a plume of smoke coming out of it, maybe it’s a ghost? LOL

Wow, I should really travel more. There are so many fascinating ghost stories. I need to start carrying a camera more. Lol-Good one Debbie. ^_^

Used to live close by ~ If you ever get a chance, this is a cool place to visit. A ton of history and ghost stories. Ask on of th locals about the guillitin, or the people that were killed in the hospital that still haunt it today. Jerome was also the original state capital, it was later moved to Prescott then finally to Phoenix.

i was raised in az and my family used to travel all over the state on the weekends. jerome is my favorite town cuz it is on a mountain side, literally and has these cool old houses and buildings. i haven’t been there in 10 yrs, but the last time i was it still had that “stepping back in time” sort of feel about it, like nothing had changed since the day it was built. it is a cool little place to check out and go on a motorcycle if u can and aren’t afraid of heights on the way up. the view is amazing. some kind herb might be nice to take along 2.

And as a teenager in the 70’s we used to always go up to Jerome. Many times we experienced weird things.

I stayed in the Jerome hotel on a class field trip for my TV productions class. I was skeptical at first, but we saw some creepy ****. Got a lot on tape too. Including voices, shadows casted in the dark, and movement, as well as light from restricted areas of the hotel we stayed at, which is a renovated hospital. I don;t really believe in ghosts and paranormal activity, but I can not explain what happened there, or at the abandoned school at the bottom of the mountain.
