Hell House
This facility was once home to a college for girls. The nuns, however, began dabbling in Satanism and one by one, the girls were murdered. Inside the building, chilling screams are heard. At the top of the large staircase, there is an enormous cold spot.

Itwas not a girls school, at least when it closed down it was still a Seminary. Not all of the seminary students actually became priests, for various reasons, and some of those students really knew how to party. Some of us girls from Baltimore use to go up there at night and wait for the guys to sneak out in the middle of the night. It was spooky enough even then.
I don’t know who owns it now, but the guy who owned it before the fire, the one who hired that insane caretaker, was planning to just let the place fall down, or at least get bad enough that it wouldn’t cost as much to demolish it. I think he was planning to build apartments. The reason it’s still standing is because it is privately owned, so the only person who can tear it down is the owner.

The real attraction of this story is the insane grounds keeper; I personally think he takes his job a little too seriously, regardless, I will never set foot on that property again. We could feel the rock salt whizzing by our heads. I actually made it to just the top of the long flight of stairs, that was it. It’s not worth the chance of pain (either br Rock salt, or a vicious dog), and I’m serious when I say “Don’t bother going there!”. This guy keeps his eye out for people like you and I, who are curious. He drives up and down that street with his spot light waiting to catch you. I’m sure he could press charges on you for trespassing, too. So I ask; IS it really worth it??

i hope the previous writer’s of these comments go back to schoolsoon. They have a horrible time spelling or they are too busy drinking or jerking off! Get a life and use spell check. My father always said “it is better for people to think you are stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt”.

I’ve lived in Ellicott City for almost 30 years. When I was in high school, my girlfriend and I went to hell house. I saw the caretaker’s dog, and I made him lick my balls (my girlfriend wouldn’t do it). Then the caretaker saw me and shot at me with his shotgun. I tried to run away, but I fell down, because my pants were around my ankles. The caretaker told his dog to “get ‘em!!”, so I pulled up my pants and ran away. I left my girlfriend behind, ’cause I didn’t luv her anyways, and she wouldn’t teabag my sack. I think the dog ate her, ’cause I never saw her again. I told her parents that she ran away to NY to be an actress. They spent two months in NY looking for her. Ha ha. I’ll bet she licks balls now.

I live up the street from Hell House, I haven’t been up there because it kind of freaked me out. I don’t think the caretaker is there anymore though. Everyone I’ve talked to about it has said it was an old girls’ school, but I don’t know if they are reliable sources. The Women’s Institute in Ellicott City on Church Road it also supposedly haunted, although I’ve never seen anything abnormal up there. They do sometimes have plays in the ruins of the Institute.

Apparently, Rubi’s spelling skills, unlike ghosts, don’t exist
Anyway, I saw a show about Hellhouse on TV.
They totally disproved the hauntings…
It was kind of sad actually how wrong people were..

Hello People,
I just want to say that I have been to Hell House, Creepy College and Seven Hills. The Hills are amazing, my stomach drops. I have never seen a ghost. Do I believe in ghosts, you are goddamn right.
Now I visted these places between 1993 and 1996. I remember when HUD, which is the caretakers nickname (My BFF’s father and this man were friends.) His dog that he kept at his side’s name was RAH. Anyway I was a kid when I went. We had about 7 carloads of peole. I refused to leave the car because before we got there they all scared me shitless. So we parked by the stairs and all of them went. One guy stayed behind and scared the kiving **** out of me. So I was forced to get out or be scared and alone.
I climbed the stairs and as soon as I laid eyes on the building, Everyone came running towards the stairs and down screaming. I don’t know what scared them, but they loved it. We always went back and I was always scared. We climbed up to the train bridge and scared the **** out of ourselves there. I never saw anything, but I think the hype is what kept us going.
I noticed back there that someone mentioned Black Aggie and tied all these stories together.
FYI Black Aggie’s statue originated from Greenmount Cementary at North and Greenmount. From there it was donated to different museums. Right now, this present day, it sits in front of the Federal Courthouse in DC. Check it out.

so I’m 14, ha and I’m really into this kind of stuff. Seriously though, all the people on here really need to learn how to spell. But yeah, so my cousin & I always go driving around up there.. she tries to get me to get out of the car but I won’t. Cause we always go latelate at night, and I guess i’m just chickensh!t
I was down there like 2 nights ago with her, but it’s all like demolished and pretty much looks all underground.
I’ve never seen the institute.. but i’d love to check it out.. I wish that it was still there, Kinda sad that I was born in 1993 now; ha.
if anyone will take the time, my email is raddesttxkiddo@aim.com if you have any information. I’ve checked out all the sites there are to check out about this.. thanks(: – kara.

For Corrine 07/18/2008:
Black Aggie was actually at the Druid Ridge Cemetary near Pikesville.
For All:
Hell House was St. mary’s institution for boys, I had a friend that was there in the late 60’s. No crazy nuns and the Priests’ were very good to the students their.

Whatever the true stories of this place are as far as history goes, one thing is very much for sure. As far as the supernatural goes a lot of people of had experiences. My team went up there last week. With EVP we caught a few interesting things. One thing sounded like a little girl. Another sounded like an older man. Due to confidentiality with the group I work with we must test this evidence more before publishing anything. One of our people asked, “Is there anyone with us right now.” Over the EVP was the sound of a little girl laughing. At the same time, the investigators heard bussiling footsteps directly behind them. This was at the pool area. Another member of the team asked, “Why are you still here?” Over the EVP a decrepid old voice as if an old man seemed to say, “hunt.” To us we wonder if that could have been a spirit much earlier than The college was constructed, perhaps an English settler or something. Not too sure. On the EMP, we caught something VERY interesting. Filming directly at the cross, there were no strange heat signatures. (the entire team at this point was up by the funny hippy van that says “eat food not poison.” One minute there is nothing, the next minute there is a heat signature in the shape of a human being standing about 5′ 3″-5′5″ish, looking at the camera behind the cross. There might have been another person there that night, but when we left we had the only car, and we parked way up on top of the hill by Buzzard’s Rock Trail. As far as personal experiences go. . . That is a different story entirely. We caught 6 orbs in the underground caved in part close to where the garage once was. At that same time, the median with us made us leave, saying that someone AFTER the building was closed down, was performing some sort of ritual. He spoke a few words that he heard in his head. After consulting a priest, and demonoligist, the words he spoke were of ancient Babylon supposedly. One of our members was standing on the rubble where the Cathedral part once stood, and heard singing, of a song. The words were, “Media Vita In Morte Sumus.” Strange, but pretty cool at the same time. No EVP was caught there. EMP found nothing at the actual “College” part. Two other members were up where the greenhouse once stood and heard a male laughing. At that time, the temperature dropped 14 degrees. Cameras stopped working, and EVP turned itself off.
Is the place haunted? Maybe. . . Could the place be on top of a large hill in the shape of a step pyramid in some spots? Perhaps. Rumors can do what they will. As far as evidence goes, THAT is what people should be looking for. To the ones putting upsidedown pentagrams everywhere, and putting Runes different places, I would recommend knowing what you are doing before being stupid, because there are a lot of things you can let out be fooling around, and some people have to deal with them. It is not fun having to take someone to a church for a full exorcism ever. So please stop doing rituals in places that already house negative energy, be that by a crazy angry priest, a posessed nun, a goblin from Kentucky or whatever **** people come up with. There is a lot of negative energy there because of the people going up there, and what ghosts are up there if any, I don’t recommend threatening them like some have. Drinking up there is not a good idea either. Patapsco is a completely different story…that place was fun to investigate. Hell House on the other hand, fealt more like babysitting than anything else. Too much hype, and not enough hard facts. I will not disclose the group I work with for confidentialities sake, but I will say this.
Ellicott city/Sykesville/Bowie-Glendale has A LOT of scientific Electro-magnetic energy.
and I will openly say that I personally believe JUST based on faith,
Hell House, Henryton, Glendale, Crybaby Bridge (which is NOT the bridge in Illchester), and BLACK AGGIE, all need a good solid mass exorcism, because there are a lot of negative things brought to all of these places.
BTW anyone ever think that maybe there are spirits there from when the Native Americans housed those lands? Because we found A LOT of stuff at the large cliff/drop off on Buzzards Rock Trail or whatever it’s called. . .

me and GH1 work together and can’t really talk about much,,,, but….I wanna share my opinion from a wierd way as you will
I’m the guy that believes in all kinds of ****!
My take on Hell House is something like this…
Lots of energy there, GOOD and negative…
a lot of idiots up there with really bad grafitti skills…
but I will say this
SOMETHING happened there. I don’t know what…but I do know it had to do with a disease. I also know the bodies may not have been “dumped” in the pool, but were carried to that area. Me and another investigator saw a nun with a wheelbarrel and a few small bodies. I could only think something like malaria, yellow fever, infusema, or something like that, because the bodies didn’t look “murdered.” and there was sadness to the feeling around it. More like a mourning sensation, along with the feeling of NOT BEING ABLE TO BREATH. I want to know if anyone else has had a similar thing…there was also the feeling of a dog presence following us at certain points almost like a guardian, I called him Anubis for fun! Never saw it just fealt it, and heard panting. There was a feeling of a little girl close to the fencing, almost like a small girl with a white dress and a teddy bear was dancing and trying very hard to show herself, but only thing we caught at that point was a little EVP later on closer to the pool area (I didn’t think it was the same girl)
For those that HAVE seen this, tell me I’m not alone…
Coming up to the college you take a right…
I did this last year…
you go to the right side of the building
The highest room on the far left side, THERE WAS A MAN HANGING. I know others have seen this, and I want to know what it’s all about. It doesn’t make since to me at all, because of the records of the school that can be found in the Archives… NOT ONLINE lol…
anyway…
ummm
happy hunting!
