Real Haunted House

Hell House

Howard County, Maryland

This facility was once home to a college for girls. The nuns, however, began dabbling in Satanism and one by one, the girls were murdered. Inside the building, chilling screams are heard. At the top of the large staircase, there is an enormous cold spot.

Hell house was demolished last year and the site was excavated for potential use by the county for a future office complex. This piece of Ellicott City history is no more.

this is so stupid. First off you’re information is all wrong. The whole STORY IS WRONG. Had nothing to do with satanic cults and ****. it was stupid people thinking that the only way to raise little girls was to punish them. For instance…most of them starved to death because they would tie them to chairs when they ate and unless they learned how to eat properly they would not. The building is nothing but ONE and a half walls and it’s a touristy piece of **** now. They ruined it by having a halloween walk trail thing in it.

Second …who the hell created this website because it’s so lame to think there are ghosts out there.

Seriously…buy yourself a jacket because you seem to be without one.

ok st. mary’s aka hell house never had ghost there there was a caretaker but he wasn’t crazy he lost his home cuz some punk kids or whatever set fire to the place and it was no longer safe for him to live in his house up there anymore sure he may have revisited the sit and tried to scare kids away so they would not do more damage to the place he once called home. so everyone with your little stories of ghost your all bs so lets just leave poor Allen Hudson alone i think he’s been lied about for way to long.

I have a lot of pictures from the last time I went hiking up there (May 09) with my brother…if you want to see them, just email me and I’ll send them to you. The story about the crazy caretaker is definately true. My brother has had experience with it–apparently he went up there with a cousin and a few friends and the guy let two dogs lose on them. My brother and the people he was with just started running and they all kinda seperated. My brother jumped in the bed of the care takers truck and then the dogs started running after one of his friends so he jumped off the side of the hill and somehow rolled down the hill and landed right at his car. Apparently the guy was creepy looking and lived in a trailer up there. I know for a fact that he’s not up there anymore because I’m sure we would have seen him..or his trailer or truck atleast. The place is somewhat creepy with all of the cult and other spray paintings and ruins that are left behind; at the same time it’s beauitful though, with the river, the hardly standing buildings way out in the woods, and then the big cross and gazeebo that’s still standing–but unforunatly vandalized with satanic symbols and swasticas (sp??).

My stepfather is Howard County fire captain. He was there the night of the fire. Hudson would really only talk to him when they would come up there. Allen Rufus Hudson did live there, he doesnt now, hasnt in a long time. He is NOT dead, just do a search for social security death index. He isnt there. He was born September 1950. All buildings there are now demolished.

So many stories about this place. You just dont know what is real & what is not true. I know the caretaker & the stories about him being mean etc are true. He was into druge and always want to fit in on a biker gang. When he try to get involved with the biker gangs he was turned down & was beaten to death due to his actions against a teenager and to women. This teenager was pushed by him off the roof on september 16, 1985. It is true that he didnt like people up there. He was killing animals & making drugs up there. that is why he didnt want anyone around that place besides the fact they were destroying the place. Keith Collins is one of the names he would use when the cops showed up when teenagers were there. Yes he made threats to but then the bikers would get wind of this they would take actions and make the worst happen to Keith Collins.I will not go into all the bikes names etc due to respect my friends but I dont think any women ever have to worry about Keith Collins (allis) ever touching, pushing or putting a gun to his head. Now as far as the college being spookie i dont believe. My friends and I been up there every day for weeks before that accident happen in 1985, we never saw him until that night. Dont try talking to the neighbors cause they wouldnt even help that night in september 1985.

There is an urban ledgend that the caretaker went after a whole bunch of kids one night and that his dogs were hounds of hell and he was a demon. That a man was killed by the caretaker. My friend was up there and was shot in the stomach by a shotgun by the caretaker. he is alive and kicking today at the wonderful age of 36. As for the caretaker nobody has seen him and from what I heard from people in the neighborhood he was found in the woods by a friend of my friend…name never given…and was shot and killed himself…no more building no more caretaker..ther is still an eerie feeling there…if you belive in the occult like i do then you understand the energy that lies there is is an evil place but the storie told are rubbish and the true evil has not even started to come out of there….
