Helltown is an interesting place, but not scary. I too have heard the stories and checked it out, but nothin frightenin. We also heard rumors of the Melon People!! LOL… I guess they were deformed people whose heads looked like melons.
Anyways, the only creepy place I know of is Terra Vista. Knew a kid I went to high school with hang himself there.
I’ve also heard about a abandoned mental asylum out that way too, but never found it. Anyone know of it?

I tried going to Hell Town once and it was def creepy. Before we made it to the house we were pulled over and sent back the other way. The cop says the house is rigged with silent alarms that go off at the police station if you get too close to the property. It’s not hauinted, just creepy. One thing I’m confused about tho, do people still live there?

I’ve been there before. There was a road that said closed and we went past it and there was trails and stuff but if you keep walking it gets creepy there like an abandoned house and abandond car in the woods. we went into the house and the electricity was still on and everything.

Although I do not believe in ghosts or anything like that, I am very interested in Helltown and would like to visit there. I’m looking for anyone who can provide in depth information on the town’s history and hauntings. Also, anyone who has had SERIOUS paranormal expierences/ Run ins with the cops.
As for the bench that man of you have claimed not to exist. The bench was removed due to old age and vandalism.
Look for me on facebook if you have any information. Thanks

DON’T GO TO HELL TOWN. Nothing there is really scary at all. The real fear is the cops. We went down the “highway to hell” (stanford road) and turned around in somebody’s driveway to go back, and were stopped by a park ranger who called in backup and questioned and held us up for half an hour. “What did we learn tonight? There is no Helltown.” Yeah. Don’t even bother.

First, Danielle–The Girl Scout Camp is *miles* away from Helltown, so I don’t understand why you said “it’s right next door”. Second, *most* of the stories are TRUE!~And *more*! The Church on the cornor orginally had satanic blood rituals in there where horrific things happened to innocent people. I also have several friends who have either lived there, or grew up there, and are NOT living there anymore. I have also seen a photograph of my friend sitting on his couch with a very visible outline of an actual ghost skeleton sitting behind him in attire from the 1800′s, with long boney fingers. My friend had been complaining of bizzarre occurances, and after he had gotten the pictures back from the developing store, and saw that man, he moved out. The *only* reason why people are saying there is nothing going on there, is to discourage ghost hunters from going there and viewing their ritual chants which some people still practice to this very day. This is a tiny community full of secrets, and they DON’T like outsiders! Also, most of the people who live there, adhere to The Second Ammendment, and they’re not afraid to use them! Furthermore, for you ignorants, a ‘Tress’ is something which holds something up, in this case it is a bridge, and yes, it does sway from the weight of ones vehicle. Duh! So yes, it would be a good idea NOT to go to Helltown!

Ummmm,Dee?? No,Most of the stories ARE NOT True!!The Church you are talking about? I grew up in that church, made my 1st communion there, confirmation ect…It was never, nor is it now a satanic church!!
You go on to say …this tiny community doesnt like outsiders??
Hmmm,Is that why we promote so many activities for visitors?? such as ….Peddlers Day,Python Day,The Harry Potter Festival, all the activities of the bike and hike trail, scenic railroad & 2 ski lodges??….we love visitors…Keep bringing your money to our communuity!! and Ohhh by the way…before you call someone ignorant again and make yourself look stoopid….LOL….its a “truss”…not a ‘tress”!!
Stay outta peninsula hun, we dont like stoopid people….Ahahahaha!
