Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Home Sweet Home

Minot, North Dakota

Now an antique shop, this old four story building is haunted by two ghosts. The first ghost is that of a man who hanged himself in the attic. Now blocked off by a door, the attic constantly has a frigid draft. Also the candy in the room is moved from dusty jar to dusty jar; there are never any fingerprints, however. The other phantom is that of a man that drowned in the river behind the house. At 4:39 AM, the time of the man’s death, it is said that the accident may be witnessed again.

I went to this house, and I have got something to tell you. That candy is not good. I had a really bad stomach ache after eating a handful of it. Could it be the ghost?

The most haunted town in ND is Noonan, ND. Did you know that they have a bar that was once the town morgue? Some of the patrons are pretty pale looking. Go see for yourself. Spooky. Also, they have the haunted mine hills (be very careful) and a small haunted dam south of the town.

I investigated this site on a couple of different occasions. Also, I was able to visit with the proprietor of the business. She told me that yes an old man drown in the river out back as he was senile and fell down the bank, but never ever have there been any ghostly sightings…no ghosts or ghostly activity. I opened the “locked closet” with her permission and there was no extreme difference in temperature. Also i staked out the parking lot and watched the river one evening to no avail.

I had heard about this one once, and because of that, was skeptical to the veracity of the story. However, there is a ghost that haunts UND campus and another one that haunts the Altru Hostpital Staff elevator, both in Grand Forks. The one on UND campus lives in the tunnels under the dorms and in the skywalk. She has no legs, and wears a nightgown. Creepy stuff. The one in Altru just kind of moans…more of a spirit than a ghost.

a buddy of mine and i are going to check out the house next door story one of these nights. that place is my mother in law’s favorite craft store. as to the stories about noonan and the mine hills, there’s some creepy stuff going on around that place! i grew up very close to noonan and i always get a creepy feeling when i go to that town.

Ajacks says:

October 28, 2006, 2:01 pm

If you don’t believe anything in ND is haunted, just take a trip up to Tagus,ND on Halloween night. Charles Manson said that if he ever gets out of prison he is going there as it’s supposed to be the epicenter of demonic activity. There have been ritualistic sacrifices of animals, a man was propped on the train tracks and murdered, sightings of god knows what in the cemetary. Me and some buddies put 10 clips of ammo into something in there and it never died, just kept on going. Even during the day, you get a very strange feeling just driving thru the place. There is a staircase somewhere either in the town or in a pasture nearby that is said to keep going down and down. Just check it out.

jenn says:

October 29, 2006, 10:28 am

my husband’s farm is right outside tagus…he’s been through the whole place, and there is no staircase. he claims he’s never seen anything there, but i have heard many of the stories of what people HAVE been seeing.
there is some history of tagus and a close friend of the son of sam killer living there, but that’s about all i’ve heard for freaky history.

Amber says:

October 29, 2006, 9:00 pm

Im from Minot and I believe the stuff about Home Sweet Home. My mother in law has been there and she said the upstairs is very creepy. As for Tagus, my friends and I took a trip there in the middle of the night. That was the scariest place I have ever been. There is an old church there and it has a light on inside but it was closed up and locked. We went into the cemetary as you just get the weirdest feelings in there. I just about s**t my pants!!!

jenifer says:

October 30, 2006, 9:53 am

one night some friends and myself took a trip to tagus and while we were driving through we got pulled over by the local highway patrol. he asked us if we were driving through there because of the rumors of tagus being haunted. he then went on to tell us that it is not haunted and that there are people that live there and that theres no talking goats, satanic ****, etc..

I live in Ca. now and my sister told me about a site that said gandads old house is one of the 10 most haunted houses in the states. Balony! you can believe anything you want but I do not believe that house is haunted. I spent a lot of my life in that house with grandma and grandpa. Lot of holidays and never seen anything.

the church in tagus…not quite sure just how long ago you were there, but there was only one church in tagus. my hubby and his family WERE members of it. and no, paranormal activity didn’t cause them to leave the church, it was the fire that burned the place down a few years back.

That’s not the only place that is haunted in Minot, North Dakota. There is this little red house by a school that my parents lived in. In the basement you would hear constant footsteps, and when you went upstairs to check, no one was there. The door would slam on it’s own.
And the strangest place was the storage room, where the hair on your neck would stand up, something was wrong there.

First of all… To those of you who don’t believe in ghosts why are you reading a website about ghosts. I guess the people who don’t believe never will until something they can not explain happens to them.

Second… To the people who own the ”not haunted” bar… chill out. People are just relating what they have heard. I don’t find it as slander. It’s just a rumour. No need for all the big lawyer talk. Sheesh!

Hey Everyone! I am a 14 year old girl who lives in New Town, ND which is about, 60 miles away from Minot, ND and I don’t find this site scary! I have seen worst and have heard worst! If you hear or seen any of the stories, beleive me, Minot isn’t anything to New Town! Also, there is another place just as scary but most think it is worst! It is called the Village. It sounds funny but that’s what it’s called. There are many, many stories about the Village! You should get to hear more about it, it’s really interesting! well, I would like to tell you more but I’m running out of time. (beleive me I’m not lieing!)

I am the ghost that drowned…And after repeated drownings night after night i like to go online to see what you people say about me. You make me sick People night after night i drown and not one of you has the guts to try and save me. You just watch and record. If you were to drowning night after night i would at least jump into the damn river to save you. but noooo you jsut watch me just so you can say you saw me drown. Well this is to all you hunters out there… I’M COMING FOR YOU NOW! I WILL BE DOING THE WATCHING!

Just a quick question….for all those people who are SO positive that ghosts don’t exist, i would like you people to explain the reasoning behind all of the weird stuff that occurs in peoples homes, in schools, and where they work. I bet if any of you were to actually experience one of these strange situations you might possibly think differently…just because you can’t see it and you don’t understand it, it doesn’t mean its not there!

This is to the owners of the “haunted bar”,
Why are you mad about people thinking your bar is haunted? It’s free advertising for you!!! I had planned to take a drive to your bar just to see if it was true. But since you say it’s not, and you’d probably get angry at my being there just to find out for sure, I no longer have any desire to go. It’s too bad, I was looking forward to it too.

Ive heard about some stories in Newtown and specifically the village. My sister was out with one of her friends North of the village in a field and she saw about twenty or thirty litlle shadow THINGS that were running around. She said it made her and her friend so terrified they didn’t want to move. After ahile they decided to start leaving,a good distance from where they were they could see those things climbing on the truck they had taken to get there. Someone my mom knew also saw one in her backyard through her kitchen window right by the house

Cincy says:

June 24, 2007, 9:31 pm

I was just at Tagus North Dakota and drove by the few houses there. The house looked like no one was there and by the time we got to the cemetary we could see glows in the windows. Once we walked to the cemetary we heard some voices and what looked like strange movements comming from one of the grave stones. We then went back to the car and started it and headed back into town. When we started to go through the town again the glows went down from the houses. As we passed the church (what was the church just a brick thing now) there was faint images of people standing around in a circle. Not sure if it was people or not, it was pretty dark and pretty scary. We high tailed it out of there and won’t be going back.

Amanda says:

July 23, 2007, 9:18 pm

Yeah, Tagus is very haunted. I drove through there with 3 of my friends one nite, and no matter how much I tried to slow my car down from going around that curve…..It kept speeding up and speeding up. I swear to the Lord that is a very very haunted place.
When I finally got the car stopped right outside of Tagus, my friend Morgan swears that he saw the face of the devil coming at his window.
If you are into that sort of thing….scarings and such….Check it out!!!

I lived in Minot ND for 6 years and have been to Home Sweet Home numerous of times. It did have a creepy feeling in that room. After I heard about the drowning ghost, I would be out at 4-5 in the morning but I was too scared to look.
As for the town or Tagus or Noonan, I had a friend who went thru Tagus and said that once they got over the rail road tracks, their car died andcouldn’t get it started. She said that every building was dark like no one lived there. It was believe to be a Satanic Cults hide out.

I spent most of my years growing up in Minot, ND. I am currently pursuing my certification in Parapsychology in sunny California. I know for a fact that there are haunted locations in Minot. I am not sure about Home Sweet Home, but I have experienced things at the House Next Door, Charles and the little antique store on main street under the hair school. Paranormal activity is out there whether you believe or not.

Hi there I have lived in Minot all my life. There is a lot of unexplainable things in this town. Now for Home Sweet Home I have been there several times. It is an errie place. When i was there the only candy was in a room right on the main floor. The attic had that door blocked off i looked through the crack and it was not a good feeling i had and there is rafters where a short person could have hung them self. As for Minot there is a lot of history with “satanic” people. The River of life assembely of God church was once a Masonic temple. A friend Cory Withers told me storys how when the masons moved out there was a lot of caskets and so forth, he claimed it was haunted but with the presence of a church there i highly doubt it. Now Then what about son of Sam? There was a murder on Highway 83 a few miles north of minot in the 1970’s it looked as a tank or some other large machine had ran a car over, rumor had it it was sos. Also what about the underground tunnels that are hidden under the town? Ive also heard of an air shaft under town and county mall that has tunnels that satanic people have rituials in. In oak park during the 70’s there was also alot of satanic rituals practiced. I have seen a tape of a “ghost” My friends parents redid there attic they claimed there was a ghost hanging from the rafters. Ive seen the tape talked to the family and even slept in that room. Nothing that out of the ordenary unless you are scared to begin with. So yes ive been to Tagus as well. With a Ojuia Board, there was a man that approaced us in a pickup told us to get lost and when he drove away the tires on the pickup were off the ground and he vanised. It seemed as it took forever to get out of there like a time warp so to speak. Now them i was also told there is an alter of human sacrafice there but i never saw it. So anyone knowing anything please e-mail me.

I used to live in North Dakota many years ago and while I cannot say I have ever been to “Home Sweet Home” in Minot, I can attest to some odd experiences I had at the Burtness Theater at UND in Grand Forks. I was supposed to open the theater for a show and was given a set of keys and told to unlock the building around 7 or 8 pm. Upon entering the building, I had the most horrible feeling and felt as though I would be in mortal danger if I stayed inside. I quickly exited the theater and later told others of my experience. They told me the place was haunted and some had even witnessed paranormal activity there. I find it amusing that some don’t believe in these kinds of things. Obviously they have never experienced the unexplainable. At any rate, I would never enter that building alone again.

I live within walking distance from Home Sweet Home here in Minot, ND. Iâ??ve been in there numerous times and can say Yes; there is an eerie feeling on the upper level of the house. With the way that house was built, my thoughts were the person who designed and built it had to have been disturbed in some sort of emotional possibly mental way. There are many stairs in that house. And Iâ??m not talking just a normal staircase with a lot of stairs; Iâ??m talking stairs that go in all different directions from one room to the next. I found it to be uniquely fascinating but very unethical floor plan for a family to live in before it became an antique and craft store. Itâ??s very beautiful to look at on the outside. There is a staircase leading to a round room on the third level of the house. Iâ??d say it was just big enough for a baby room at one time but other than that not much use for the room. My mother use to sell her wood works there and she too felt strange every time she went into this house to check up on her inventory. I donâ??t know much about the history of the house, but I do know a rich railroad engineer built it back in 1899. But if youâ??re ever in town, it is a neat house to see.

I lived in Minot, ND for 17 years before moving to a little town west of Minot and my mom and I love to go to Home Sweet Home and the attic isn’t locked. I recently had a baby and I can tell you my mom and I went to Home Sweet Home and checked out all the baby stuff in the attic. I love that place and I have never EVER heard of anything like that. Now as for Tagus, ND….I’ll let you know that is completely true! My senior year of High School 4 friends and I traveled to Tagus because we had heard all the hype about how it was haunted and how you hear dogs barking when you go inside the church and that when you open the door to go upstairs you hear a train but don’t see one. Well we went in the church and it was creepy feeling just being in there but we never did hear any dogs but when we did and I’m not lying because s*** like this freaks me out, we did hear a train go by and the guards were down and flashing and we didn’t see a train anywhere. It was probably the creepiest thing I have ever expeirenced and we quickly got together and went out the basement door and I personally shut the lights off and when we were driving away the switched on!! I’m not lying and I have never believed in that stuff but I was totally freaked out after that and I still get goosebumps thinking about it. 1 week after we had went there the church had burned down. I believe the stories about Tagus, ND.

I used to live on Minot AFB and went to church at First Baptist in Minot for several years (89-93). I can truly say those were some of the coolest years of my life. Anyway, I don’t believe there are ghosts. I think they are demons who are mimicking the people they see in hell; trying to torment us because they hate us and have no hope. Jesus has ultimate power and if you want to have ultimate power over these supernatural terrorists, freedom from the fear, guilt, and shame that they seem to revel in and feed off of, then I encourage you to read about him in the Gospels.

Well, Listen to this…I’ve been born and raised in Minot, ND and I have been in Home Sweet Home before, it did seem a little spooky, even before I knew what had happened…narrow, winding staircases and stuff..but, nothing too bad..there is a temp change when you go upstairs…However, there is a house on Central Ave, that I lived in as a teenager, a boy (I wont say his name)also a teenager used to live there, was brutally stabbed to death, shortly after that happened out basement door would open and close all the time, with many witnesses, after awhile, we were like “Come on in and Sit down”.

Okay, this is a honest true story guys….In Minot there is a house (apartment building) on top of a hill, off of Burdick…with vines running all over it…the apt is still there…when I was really young (Kindergarden)…my mom, brothers’ and me discovered in the basement (where we did laundry) some old books(mom said it was “witch docter” stuff, and some other things I cant really remember…but what I do remember is waking up screaming day after day because of a heavy pressure of me that wouldn’t let me move or anything…a weight a cant describe…and when it finally lifted off of me I’d be screaming day after day…has anyone ever felt that before???

I live in Minot and would welcome the opportunity to see and experience some of the wierd things that people describe happening to them. I have been to Tagus (since the church burned) and stopped at the cemetary. nothing happened. my truck slowed down at the corner, didnt stop after the tracks, hell i even turned around and went back through. Drove up the hill going to the cemetary and looked around in the cemetary, once again nothing happened. But at any rate whether anything happens or not i still love seeing old towns. any yall around here want a hunting partner i am always looking for something like that to happen to me so i would not be such a skeptic.

just me says:

May 20, 2008, 3:54 am

ok, i’ve lived in the minot area my whole life. i have been to “home sweet home” and haven’t had anything happen either. but all of you that are saying that nothing has ever happened in minot think that ghosts aren’t going to come around with a bunch of people there. take home sweet home for example: when were you there? i bet during the day with all sorts of people coming in and out. of course nothings going to happen. as for everyone saying that things don’t happen in tagus. i bet you only went out there once or twice and just drove around. or sat in your car for a little bit. i’ve been to tagus also, it’s not far from where i went to school. and it’s just an eerie feeling being in the town. when we went there the church was all boarded up, but we got out and walked around a little bit. nothing that we could tell was happening because it was a really windy north dakota night. but the closer we got to the church the heavier our chests got like something was trying to “push” us away. so, just for all of you skeptics, just because you didn’t see something happen doesn’t mean that things aren’t out there. it doesn’t mean that all this information everywhere about these places are false either. ghosts aren’t just sitting around for everyone to see. i’m just trying to stick up for my roots and i’m sick of everyone saying that all this is just a hoax. just because a few random people didn’t see anything, doesn’t mean things don’t exist.

My friends and I have looked everywhere for a haunted place to go! we’ve been to home sweet home several times, and it does have a strange feeling at night but during the day, its a great place to get some cool candles!! The bridge, we didn’t see anything floating in the river, but I do have friends that have had experiences saying the girl was there from home sweet home… I don’t know, I’ve been to Tagus 3 times, and haven’t experienced anything but there was one time when it was winter, and of course the exhaust from the car was rising, and my brake lights were on, i thought i saw the shadow of a man (which very well could have been a man) behind the car, so I took off. But I’m looking for a good place to go!! Send me your input!! Thanks!

Me and my friends Matt and Dylan went there on Monday, August 11 2008 from about 4:20 to about 4:45 and we didn’t see anything. We were at the correct site behind Home Sweet Home but unfortunately we didn’t see anything =/.

OK, you guys . . .
Home Sweet Home is not haunted at all. The only place I have ever heard anything like that is right here on this blog. I had been to the “Mike Myers” house several times and my friends and I used to go to Tagus every night (sometimes twice). I could tell many, MANY stories about that town that would make skeptics doubt themselves. If anyone has any questions about Tagus or the serial killer house, please e-mail me at .

Hello Everyone! I’ve lived in Newtown,ND Almost my whole life. And The Village is one of the most places where we get spooked. My Uncle Jr. was out drinking one night with his brothers and they were back in the hills and apparently saw little small men.People say that those small men are twice as strong as a full grown man ,but yet small sized.Tey chased him and knocked him down and when my uncle woke up they were gone. Also, my Grandma who also lives in The Village puts salt or else sugar on the table for them. But one thing before I go. DON’T MESS WITH THEM!

I just recently moved to North Dakota from Alabama. For the past weel, I have been watching Ghost Hunters and what not. Then, I suddenly got more interested in all of this “ghost” matter. I’d really like to check this place out. :)

Ann says:

October 4, 2009, 11:22 am

I grew up in North Dakota in Minot. I have heard all the stories about Tagus and Minot. Read the book Ultimate Evil by Terry Maury. That book accounts for a lot of different things that happened in Minot and Tagus. My dad was in the missile field in the 80’s and they were told not to go near Tagus. Tagus was known for satanic rituals and so was Minot.

Lori says:

November 2, 2009, 4:54 pm

For the teenager who said that only children believe in ghosts and there aren’t any — kiddo, I wish you were right, but there are spirits. My house is haunted, and like others, I can’t afford to move away. However, the spirit isn’t harmful (except once) so I’m coping. As for all the “Satanic Ritual” stuff; most of that is done by teenagers playing. The rest is urban — or more likely, in ND, rural — legend. Didn’t happen. And for almost everyone else, the correct spelling is CEMETERY, not CEMETARY (apparently unless you’re in Tagus; theirs is labelled “Cemetary.” Apparenly someone couldn’t spell).

poppylee says:

December 9, 2009, 3:56 pm

The house is on 4th avenue. My Aunt grew up in this house when she was a little girl. She used to tell me stories about her friend in the attic. I definitely believe it to be haunted and of course you wouldn’t see anything when you were there on a school trip….. most haunting activity takes place at NIGHT…when things are quiet. There is a foot bridge near this place that gives me the creeps.

Ann says:

December 9, 2009, 5:26 pm

You know Minot is known for it’s underground tunnels. The satanic rituals did happen there and as I said the book The Ultimate Evil accounts for the belief that it was a real occurrence in the towns of Minot and Tagus. Growing up there most of my life I heard the stories and believe in the hauntings.

Lori says:

December 10, 2009, 4:52 pm

Most criminal and justice authorities agree that the “nationwide cult” theory promoted by Maury’s book The Ultimate Evil is false, as are many of his “facts.” That doesn’t mean that there aren’t scattered Satanists around; I suppose some people are foolish enough to risk eternity that way. Believe what you choose, I guess.

Ann says:

December 10, 2009, 9:06 pm

Growing up in Minot you learn at a young age or at least you did when I was growing up to stay as far away from Tagus as you could. Even the Air Force soldiers didn’t go near that town. I am not saying that I totally believe everything I heard but I do believe it is possible. I believe there is good and bad everywhere hence the good and evil.

My house is haunted and i have stories of hauntings but i got used to scary stuff like flickering lights and radios turning on by themselves and footsteps but before i was in the shower and i slide the clear slider and i look at it because i feel like something is watching me and so i look at it and i see an old lady staring at me so i run out of there and another is when i woke up at 3:00 am because of footsteps and so i get angry and curse and scream at the noise and then it stops but then seconds later i feel static energy go up against my face it’s like hand on the tv except it’s your face and another is my mom is very religouse so she reads the bible before she goes to sleep and so the door opens and she screams at what she saw as a black figure that was the shape if a little boy and then the little ghost closes the door hard but i dosen’t make a noise so my mom gets scared and takes off the lights and goes to sleep so i know how it feels to get haunted 24 7

Not sure if this has any meaning or not, but–My son and his friend wanted me to drive out to a place I believe near Hunter ND. They said that it was haunted. So to humor them, I hopped in my blazer with them and took the drive. We had an enjoyable ride and when we turned on the rode and approached the driveway, I got this very horrible feeling. I was so stricken by fright that I immediatley turned around and drove away. I have no clue as to why I felt this way. Although my son and his friend was dissappointed they were ok with us returning to Fargo. About a mile and a half from the house, on a perfeclty level-no big rocks–on the road, I got a flat. Mind you these were new tires on my Blazer. So we pull over and look at the tire and it looked shredded. I know i didn’t hit anything as I would have felt it and the shredding was on the sides of the tire not on the tread and no I didn’t drive it up against anything. It looked like it was slashed by a knife. So we got the tire off and for some reason the Blazer was at an angle and we couldn’t ge the spare tire on. To our relief a young man came by and said that he lived nearby and would go and get a better jack. He came back, we got the spare on and I thanked him and jokingly asked for his cell number in case we needed his assistance again. He laughed and gave me his number and left. We loaded the bad tire, jack, and jumped into the vehicle to take off. Problem #2–I tried to start the Blazer and it was totally and completely dead. No I didn’t leave my lights on and we were only there for about a total of a half hour. My son called the young man who had just assisted us and he came back to gives us a jump. We made it home without any further problems. The next day I decided to call the young man and get his full name and address so that I could send him something to thank him for his assistance. I looked up the number on my phone and hit send. When someone answered the phone it wasn’t the young man but an older lady. I asked if she knew who that person was and if she would give me his address so I could send him something. After I had explained what had happened, the lady only stated that this was her phone and no one else had used it. I told her that I had called the young gentleman at this number yesterday around 11 or so. She said that her phone didn’t ring at all last night. So any way, after another few minutes of trying to get the guys name and address I gave up. OK was the older lady BS’s me, did the young man borrow her phone, or what. Why did my brand new tire get so chewed up? And why did my battery die completely. Oh yea and we were a little amazed that someone showed up on this road that was way out in the middle of no where at 11 pm on a school night. You tell me, because I am still floored by it all to this day. ( and don’t say I am a bad parent because I took my son out late. Sometimes you just have to say the heck with it and have some fun with your child, although my fun cost me a new tire)

That is a very interesting story of both a residual and an intelligent haunt all in the same location! I would really like to come investigate the claims there. I believe strongly in the paranormal! I have had many of my own personal experiences that would make your hair stand on end! I am really interested in starting my own paranormal investigation group both to help the families we would investigate for, for our own hard evidence, and for our own personal experience. Went to Tagus, the town is not exactly a “ghosttown” it has homes that are occupied! The homes are decent, sure there are a few left that are shells, but people are all over if you drive threw it. I guy has posted signs, and is living in a camper in front of an old house thats not lived in. The brown house in the center of town is for sale by owner. It was not creepy or scary at all! The cemetary is very small, not scary, its across the street from a beef barn/home. I took some pictures and drove down the main street slowly (did the speed limit) I was followed and watched the whole time by 2 men in a red pick up truck. I waved to them, took a few pictures of the old homes, and left. A complete non event folks! No eerie feelings nothing!

Stop spreading rumors! This story is NOT true, Home Sweet Home is a wonderful store and it is NOT haunted. No one ever died in the tower; while a man did die in the parking lot, he wasn’t homeless, he OWNED the building at the time, and died of a heart attack, and he does NOT haunt his former home! Visit the store to shop, not to spread stupid rumors. Sheesh.

Candis says:

June 25, 2011, 10:33 am

My grandparents lived in that house before it became a store. The house was originally built for a doctor who ran his practice out of the house. When I was growing up, I heard stories about a maid either falling down the stairs leading up to the attic or being stabbed. As for the man drowning in the river, my step-grandfather drowned in the river behind the house. If he is supposed to be the ghost, I resent the attempt to sensationalize his death.

Matt says:

November 20, 2011, 8:22 am

The “Mike Myers” house no longer exists. It was north of Minot, west of 83 before you get to the base. Sadly, it was burned to the ground six or seven years ago.
The house looked creepy from the outside, but inside the house was where everything was a little crazy. Garbage lined the floors in every room. Whomever once lived there had been a little anal about every single thing they did. You could pick up a piece of garbage, let’s say a cereal box, and written on it would be the date it was purchased, where it was purchased, who purchased it, the date they ate it, what bowl they used, etc. Also many old tattered editions of the Minot Daily News were strewn about the rooms, most of which had headlines dealing with murders or tragedies of some kind.
The other thing that was REALLY creepy was the “diary” that they kept by writing on the walls. Again, every single part of their lives was detailed in full. Most of them were dated from the 1970’s and early 1980’s. In one spot in what must have been the living room, in letters bigger and bolder than any others, was written, “HANDS OFF THE LIVES OF OTHERS!” This may have been an act of vandalism after the house had become abandoned, but it fit nicely with the rest of the house.

Just a few side notes:

* In the 1950’s and 1960’s, the Berthold area (including Tagus) was a hotspot for UFO sightings.

* Charles Manson has never spoken about Tagus, North Dakota in any interview or any recorded capacity whatsoever.

* The abandoned facility in Dunseith was never a ‘mental asylum,’ but rather a tuberculosis sanitorium.

p.s. The notion that Home Sweet Home or the bar in Noonan are haunted seems ridiculous to me. Tagus is another story altogether.

Today, I learned that the owners of the Noonan bar are half-retarded. They are grown adults trying to frighten a commenter (Olive) with lawsuits for saying the morgue/bar is haunted.

Reality #1: Olive posted anonymously. For all the owners know, they’re harassing a twelve year old girl for . . . well . . . being a twelve year old girl.

Reality #2: What kind of moran (sic — if you read through the comments, you’ll see that neither the owner and his wife have completed high school, or if they have, they didn’t retain a scrap of grammar) buys a morgue and turns it into a bar without expecting young people in the community to spread ghost stories about it? Don’t turn a morgue into a place of business if you don’t want people talking about it.

Long story short, I’m not planning a visit to the Noonan bar anytime soon — judging by the comments left here, I wouldn’t trust the owners to mix a decent drink or return correct change, let alone operate an establishment worth visiting!

And, my darling little retard barkeeps, you can contact your lawyer until you’re blue in the face — there’s not an attorney on the face of the earth who would get involved in your lawsuit (get rich quick!) schemes!

A friend of mine who lives in Minot was telling me about this old Victorian house his friend had a gift shop in. He told me it was built in the 1800’s and asked me if I believed it was , naturally I said yes. I had live in a home in Memphis, Tn. that had something in it, not really sure what it was. As for Home Sweet Home , yes it has a spirit that lives there.

I go to home sweet home all the time it’s not haunted. I asked the owners who live there and it is made up. Plus I can sense ghosts usually if there was something there I would know. The owners toll me to spread the news that it’s just a rumor because they are tired of getting asked about it.
