Home Sweet Home
Now an antique shop, this old four story building is haunted by two ghosts. The first ghost is that of a man who hanged himself in the attic. Now blocked off by a door, the attic constantly has a frigid draft. Also the candy in the room is moved from dusty jar to dusty jar; there are never any fingerprints, however. The other phantom is that of a man that drowned in the river behind the house. At 4:39 AM, the time of the man’s death, it is said that the accident may be witnessed again.

If you don’t believe anything in ND is haunted, just take a trip up to Tagus,ND on Halloween night. Charles Manson said that if he ever gets out of prison he is going there as it’s supposed to be the epicenter of demonic activity. There have been ritualistic sacrifices of animals, a man was propped on the train tracks and murdered, sightings of god knows what in the cemetary. Me and some buddies put 10 clips of ammo into something in there and it never died, just kept on going. Even during the day, you get a very strange feeling just driving thru the place. There is a staircase somewhere either in the town or in a pasture nearby that is said to keep going down and down. Just check it out.

my husband’s farm is right outside tagus…he’s been through the whole place, and there is no staircase. he claims he’s never seen anything there, but i have heard many of the stories of what people HAVE been seeing.
there is some history of tagus and a close friend of the son of sam killer living there, but that’s about all i’ve heard for freaky history.

Im from Minot and I believe the stuff about Home Sweet Home. My mother in law has been there and she said the upstairs is very creepy. As for Tagus, my friends and I took a trip there in the middle of the night. That was the scariest place I have ever been. There is an old church there and it has a light on inside but it was closed up and locked. We went into the cemetary as you just get the weirdest feelings in there. I just about s**t my pants!!!

one night some friends and myself took a trip to tagus and while we were driving through we got pulled over by the local highway patrol. he asked us if we were driving through there because of the rumors of tagus being haunted. he then went on to tell us that it is not haunted and that there are people that live there and that theres no talking goats, satanic ****, etc..

I’ve also lived in North Dakota all my life, investigate the paranormal and have never heard of this. Would be interested in checking it out though.

I lived in that house in Minot as a boy. Never seen anything. And that man that drowned in the river was my grandad. I live in Ca. now and my sister told me about a site that said gandads old house is one of the 10 most haunted houses in the states. Balony! you can believe anything you want but I do not believe that house is haunted. I spent a lot of my life in that house with grandma and grandpa. Lot of holidays and never seen anything.

the church in tagus…not quite sure just how long ago you were there, but there was only one church in tagus. my hubby and his family WERE members of it. and no, paranormal activity didn’t cause them to leave the church, it was the fire that burned the place down a few years back.

And yet another thank you to Olive,
I own this so called haunted bar with my wife ,it was never a morgue it was a funeral home ,people do not die in either a morgue or funeral home ,i think you will have to get your facts straight from now on if your intent is to SLANDER people and thier business. FYI we were both born white ,could be the reason we are pale.

My best friend is from Belcourt, she has told me about alot of crazy stuff, didn’t really belive her till I went there. scary town, drive by the old asylum……I will never do that again. Most of the crazy stuff happens in peoples houses though, not in a cemetary or any of that stuff.

That’s not the only place that is haunted in Minot, North Dakota. There is this little red house by a school that my parents lived in. In the basement you would hear constant footsteps, and when you went upstairs to check, no one was there. The door would slam on it’s own.
And the strangest place was the storage room, where the hair on your neck would stand up, something was wrong there.
