ummm i just moved to minot,nd a year ago first i lived on north hill it was great then moved to the south end of town and let me just say i didnt believe in ghosts til one night my 8 yr old caming screaming out of her room screaming theres a man mommy at 2am … then another insident when i was on my puter and my 14yr old daughter let out a hurling scream again late at night and said mom the chairs spinning i looked and by gosh that thing looked like a merry go round out of control and the chair is a recliner

I grew up in North Dakota in Minot. I have heard all the stories about Tagus and Minot. Read the book Ultimate Evil by Terry Maury. That book accounts for a lot of different things that happened in Minot and Tagus. My dad was in the missile field in the 80’s and they were told not to go near Tagus. Tagus was known for satanic rituals and so was Minot.

For the teenager who said that only children believe in ghosts and there aren’t any — kiddo, I wish you were right, but there are spirits. My house is haunted, and like others, I can’t afford to move away. However, the spirit isn’t harmful (except once) so I’m coping. As for all the “Satanic Ritual” stuff; most of that is done by teenagers playing. The rest is urban — or more likely, in ND, rural — legend. Didn’t happen. And for almost everyone else, the correct spelling is CEMETERY, not CEMETARY (apparently unless you’re in Tagus; theirs is labelled “Cemetary.” Apparenly someone couldn’t spell).

The house is on 4th avenue. My Aunt grew up in this house when she was a little girl. She used to tell me stories about her friend in the attic. I definitely believe it to be haunted and of course you wouldn’t see anything when you were there on a school trip….. most haunting activity takes place at NIGHT…when things are quiet. There is a foot bridge near this place that gives me the creeps.

You know Minot is known for it’s underground tunnels. The satanic rituals did happen there and as I said the book The Ultimate Evil accounts for the belief that it was a real occurrence in the towns of Minot and Tagus. Growing up there most of my life I heard the stories and believe in the hauntings.

Most criminal and justice authorities agree that the “nationwide cult” theory promoted by Maury’s book The Ultimate Evil is false, as are many of his “facts.” That doesn’t mean that there aren’t scattered Satanists around; I suppose some people are foolish enough to risk eternity that way. Believe what you choose, I guess.

Growing up in Minot you learn at a young age or at least you did when I was growing up to stay as far away from Tagus as you could. Even the Air Force soldiers didn’t go near that town. I am not saying that I totally believe everything I heard but I do believe it is possible. I believe there is good and bad everywhere hence the good and evil.
