House on King St.
In this house, a family of four was brutally murdered. Since that time, the family is said to haunt this house. There are reports of footsteps emanating from the attic, though it is blocked off. It is said that lights will flash on and off, cabinets will open and close, and doors will slam. There is also one report of a little boy of no more than seven appearing in various rooms of the house but disappearing when anyone says anything.

Oh my gosh, I live so near King Street. It’s in the city and I’m right on the out-skirts of that area. I had no idea, how interesting.

South Central PA has a lot of history. I’ve heard of a lot of places in york county, and the surrounding areas (Adams County and Gettysburg come to mind) that are haunted there. Perhaps the spookiest (that gave me major goosebumps) was Rhemeyers (sp?) Hollow near Glen Rock, which was the site of the now infamous Hex murders.

i think we all need to leave the house alone yeh it would be awesome to see or experiance hauntings but think bout the spirits that are still living there in stead of having people glorify the fact that they are unhappy in their lives as spirits i think we should help them get to rest!

well well well who would have thought that doing a google search for haunted houses in PA i would find one in my own backyard of york. whoever said king st doesnt exist obviously must have gone to a wonderful york city school and doesnt know how to use a computer much less the internet. i would love to know if the story behind this house on king st is true, but not if its coming from one of you idiots who doesnt know their way around a keyboard or dictionary. and for real people, learn to check your work before hitting that little submit button, and for those of you so sexually deprived, what are you doing on a haunted house site? dont you have some underage porn to drool over? that being said, im out.

For information on actual murders and crime go online to Crime Library and search there for information you can patch regarding the nature of local or regional hauntings. Melissa-I’m with you on your comments as well. Happy Hunting.

I know exactly where this house is I used to live next door but the people that are currently living there get very upset by people that keep going by and asking them questions and those people that want tours they have actually called the police on a few people for trying to come up on their porch.
