Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

House on King St.

York, Pennsylvania

In this house, a family of four was brutally murdered. Since that time, the family is said to haunt this house. There are reports of footsteps emanating from the attic, though it is blocked off. It is said that lights will flash on and off, cabinets will open and close, and doors will slam. There is also one report of a little boy of no more than seven appearing in various rooms of the house but disappearing when anyone says anything.

While I am interested in ghosts and checking out this place, I am most concerned about the lack of grammatical skill found in many of these postings. It seems to me that you should stop worrying about all the different sounds that go bump in the night and instead concentrate on picking up some english skills. Believe me, it will be beneficial to you as your life continues…and who knows…maybe in the after life as well. You know…with ouija boards and whatnot.

I visited this site to find listings of haunted places my friends and I could investigate. But instead found comments posted by nut cases and perverts trying to pick up some nightly fling. First of all I know that I’m not the best speller in the world but some of the comments were just plain out stupid and sounded like a three year old. There are websites for those kind of things. I want to find a seriously haunted place so I can further my studies.

This story is really interesting a few friends and I are heading up to York to check out the 7 Gates of Hell tomorrow. I wanted to add though there is an extremely freaky abandoned hospital in Spring City, Pennsylvania. It’s called Pennhurst Mental Hospital (that may not be the official name), but it is said to be extremely haunted. It was a mental hospital for children with mental issues and children with mental diseases, that’s kind of a given. But my sister was there and said it was scary as hell. Look up some info on that I’d love to hear more official information about it before we make the trip up.

Also is the 7 Gate of Hell real. I mean I know it doesn’t go to hell…that’s just ridiculous. But the stories I hear are that an insane asylum stood at the end of an 8 mile road. Back many, many years ago a bunch of patients escaped and were killed and killed towns’ people in the surrounding woods. Is there any truth to this?

hey that is so interesting that there is a house on king street that is haunted. i have lived in york all my life and i never knew that. i know about reymyers hollow i live 5 minutes from there and it is so freaken scary down in that hollow. my boyfriend sometimes drives home through there and i hate it, it is so scary at night. all i want him to do is go faster so we get out of there and he just goes so slow to freak me out. when we were teenagers we use to drive through there at night and one time we saw some white round light things go across the road i remember i was so scared, we got the heck out of there and the seven gates of hell is located through the hollow, there are seven small bridges to drive over and that is apparenly the seven gates. i have done that before but that really was not scary it was the fact that we were in the hollow on old stone roads in the middle of the woods at night. and there is also a really freaky pond there that is so scary and a pet cememtary that you have to walk to that they say is also haunted. but i never walked there i am to much of a scaredy cat to do so, but i know those who did.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooook…so just so you guys know it’s NOT the amityville horror house…b/c the Amityville horror house is in NY not PA. I’ve seen it myself and it doesn’t look AT ALL like the house in the movie, because its NOT the same house. The REAL amityville house isn’t by a lake, nor does it have the creepy windows like it does in the movie. It’s just a regular looking house in the suburbs around NYC

okay, niki, u apparently don’t live in york, because Raymires is about 40 minutes from york, and the seven gates of hell and toad road are 40 minutes in the opposite direction. I have lived in york all my life, and the only bridge is the one crossing the cadorous creek, and it is like 500 feet long. I’ve never heard this story, and I went to York High, I wouldn’t be suprised, I’ve seen some freaky stuff go on around York, and I have friends that tell me their house is haunted. 75% of these comments are either hardcore grammatically incorrect or false information. You guys are dumb.

I am not surprised by the lack of spelling and the copious amounts of grammatical errors made by most on this site. It’s sad to say, but it is infectious all over the internet. It seems that all message boards are this way. However, those that poke fun at such phenomenon as apparitions, ghosts, and other paranormal phenomena project their ignorance. I am a believer in the paranormal and am a more “sensitive” person when it comes to dealing with such aspects. I also believe that anyone can become more in tune with
their abilities to “feel, see, or hear” paranormal activities. Humans are said to only use 10% of their brains. Those that are exceptionally smart are thought to use as high as only 15%-19%. Not much of a difference numberwise, but it’s still a huge difference in intelligence. This means that at almost any given moment, up to 85% of your brain is not being used. This is why metaphysical studies are conducted and tested by governments and universities worldwide as to the capabilities of using more than the average brain function. It is widespread, and believed in many “circles” that when used, the human brain is capable of performing enormous feats such as psychic ability, telepathy, and much more. Some proof abounds in studies done by the US Military in conjunction with the NSA, and the CIA at Ft Meade, Maryland. There was a remote viewing project held there (is it a coincidence that there is an NSA building on Ft. Meade) to train people to perform “remote viewing” to military, NSA, CIA, and FBI agents. Remote viewing is the ability to “see” an area without ever having been there, or having ever seen pictures or been briefed about the area. These studies were classified until recently. (past decade or so) Many subjects were taught and tested as a means to aide our National Defense. Then through spy satellite imagery, some were confirmed to have the abilty to perform remote viewing almost flawlessly. But like all things government, new times and regimes step in and things are then seen as flim flam or unimportant so the funding is then cut. Don’t take my word for it though. Research it for yourself. As for ghosts, they’re real. And if you don’t believe it, tell it to the spirit who’s been following me for 7 yrs. You say I am crazy. But I am not!

OK, I must say this because it is confusingly disturbing to meet about your raymires, and your 7 gates of hell story. If Raymires (as you spell it) is 40 minutes outside of York (i live in Pa., but not York), and the 7 gates of hell is 40 minutes in the OPPOSITE direction of Raymires, doesn’t that put it back in York. Put it this way, if I drive 40 minutes from my home, then drive 40 minutes in the opposite direction I just traveled do I not arrive back where i started, essentially at least the same general area. Because by driving opposite, if I traveled west, I would now be going east. Or by going north, I would then go south. Or did you indeed just mean to say, one is 40 minutes BEYOND the other?

Anyway, besides that, what are the locations of both of those places because I want to go there. I googled raymires, and all the other spellings…it only points back to this blog. If possible, can someone please give me the location of both places? My email is markedman76@yahoo.com. Thank you
