I live on ft riley, and have found there to be an extreme amount of random IR signals in the area, not sure if it has something to do with being a military base or what. But this will cause a lot of things like tv's turning on. A lot of times, moving the electronics to a different place will solve this problem, or simply placing some tape over the IR sensor. This problem is actually not that uncommon. You could probably even Google it. Just as those who do not believe will always look for a scientific explanation, those who DO believe will forgo all logic to prove that it is some sort of mysterious ghostly phanomonon. The trick is finding a happy medium. Was her CD play remote controlled to? It hasn't happened in a long time, but it was eerie the first few months to all of a sudden hear her TV turn on and turn up loud while she was at school. Once I went upstairs and turned it off as soon as I turned around to walk away, it turned right back on. Spooky!
