I live in Jacksonville and we live in a old house built in 1936, and it is haunted we have come home to lights been on or doors opening on there own.But the best was when i was home by my self and i heard music when i found were it was coming from it was in the basement were a old radio was playing it did have batteries in it but would of needed to have a butten pushed to play and I worked at a local hotel that was getting ready to be acutioned of so me and the manger was there late we were the only ones in there all the doors were locked so she comes back an tells me she is done for the night and leaves so about 5 mins later i go up to the front desk to get something and when i come back around the desk all at the same time i hear the doors shaken real hard and what sounded like pots and pans fallen in the kitchen. Now at first i thought someone was trying to break in so i grab a big flashlight and go running down there only to find nothing at all no pans on the floor or any thing so needles to say i finished up what i was doing and got the hell out of there. So the next day i tell my manger an she turns all pail and starts telling me she is sorry that she did not say any thing the night before but she left because she was at the front desk and looked up to see a dark shadow float across the wall. And that is a true story

… there is a house there and this one girl died and there was blood left over and they coverd it up and now they say every halloween night the time that,that girl got killed the blood stain comes up in the carpet,
idk if it is true but belive what you think,

She probably really wanted to be accepted. She must of worked hard and her hard work ended up not paying off. She probably was upset, and did it. It must of been a big thing for her to do such a stunt. The whole, TV turning on and off. Isn’t much of a surprise. Some spirits are curious of what they can and cant do and she probably wants to find out what she can do. She also probably is also trying to practice doing something as simple as turning something on and off so then later on she can try more difficult tasks such as picking things up.

I attended Illinois College, there were 2 girls that died on campus. The one girl commited suicide by hanging herself in one of closets in the house. The other girl, Gail, was ill prior to attending Illinois College and knew she wasn’t going to live long. She died in her room in Ellis Hall. This was my dorm room years later. She was friendly, would like to move items around the room.

I never knew about that and I only live not even 30 minutes away from Jacksonville.
There are alot of freaky things though that i know of that has happened in Illinios and yet they have never been posted and people dont know about them.

I have heard about Illinois College. I live few blocks away from Illinois College. I have few friends who attends there. They did heard lots of students talking about it. When some girls who live in dorm. Their television turned on while they were sleeping. They heard some whispers. Some girls saying that when they were in shower and they heard toliet has been flushed so they went check it out and there was nobody. U guys should check out on Illinois School for the Deaf, building is called Main Building has some weird stuffs going on and some dorms, other buildings. I can tell that Jacksonville have lots of histories. Towndown, Library, old houses, Illinois school for the deaf, and Illinois College. You guys should come and visit some histories down here. Amazing!!

I attended this college and stayed in the dorm where this girl died (My gf at the time was a student and it was in her dorm). My former gf woke up to find a female ghost floating above her over the bed. The radio would often come on by itself, but it would always play music from the 70s or 80s even though we never left it on any stations that would play music from that time. We were also awakened by her hair dryer turning on by itself.

We were told that this girl did not kill herself over a society… she instead became ill and died in her room over one of the holiday breaks. There is a memorial plaque on one of the doors.
