Gravity Hill
About sixty years ago, an elderly woman was making her way up this hill when her car ran out of gas. The woman got out of her car and began pushing it up the hill. She was not very strong, however, and eventually, the car rolled backwards on top of her. As she lie there, injured, an oncoming truck ran over and killed the woman. Today, if one puts his car in neutral at the bottom of the hill, the old woman will push it to the top.

well, I heard a different version of this story – and personally I like it better… an old lady pushing a car that’s out of gas up a hill?? honestly man.
Anyway, the story is that it was a schoolbus that got stuck on the railroad tracks at the bottom of the hill (out of gas, transmission broke or the driver had a diabetic attack – who knows). Of course this happens moments before a train blasted the bus into next week, killing all the children who were riding in it.
Now it is said that if you were to park your car at the bottom of the hill and on the tracks, sprinkle some flour on your rear bumper and then put your car in neutral – your car will be “pushed” by the decease children’s spirits out of danger and up the hill (and then to Toys R Us). After the car has stopped and you look at your bumper where you sprinkled the flour you will see a bunch of little fingerprints from the children that pushed you to safety.
Scary!!! OOOOOOOOO.

I just did this last night after a long drive, we even sprinkled the flour on our car and yes it did work. Even in a very large Durango.

Variations on this story are cropping up everywhere on the site, so I don’t think that all of them could be real.
By the way, I am a diabetic and we very rarely attack.

Well first, what “appears” to be the bottom of the hill is actually the top, and you’re not rolling (or being pushed) uphill but actually downhill. It’s an optic illusion and gravity … and no, no one was killed there nor is it haunted but you’re stories are pretty amusing
. The flour simply is being blown off / falls off due to the movement of the vehicle.
Now the Haunted Bridge in Avon’s another story … a worker *was* buried there, yes alive. Is he haunting it? That I doubt, spent many night trips there and never seen anything, but it is an uncomfortable place to visit.

Gravity Hill…Oh yes Gravity Hill. The many stories I’ve heard. Non of which I have come to find out are true. I have parked my car at ‘Gravity Hill’, many a times, and never once has my car moved the slightest.

I went to Gravity Hill tonight. We parked at the bottom of the hill and it did work… it started really slowly, then went a lot faster till we got almost back to the railroad tracks. right when we turned around and went over the tracks, a train came… i just thought that part was interesting…. i don’t understand how it’d be an opticle allusion. A friend of mine said big foot was also once spotted near gravity hill… just wandering if this is true also.

Okay yes this is true, but the stories are all wrong…especially the old lady. C’mon Yeah right. Okay so the story is a school bus full of football players, NOT CHILDREN, crashed at the bottom of the hill and when you go there, AT THE BOTTOM/NOT THE TOP, you turn off the car and the lights. Put the car in neutrul, and yes you can put ur car in neutrul when its off, then the football players push u UP the hill. You can do the whole baby powder or flour and yes you will see their hands, where they were pushing you. Basically the football players don’t want you to die like they did. AWWW how nice.
