Real Haunted House

Leave Me Alone!

Muncie, Indiana

There is a historical building where a women, who was pregnant, lived with her husband. Her husband was abusive and beat her hard and often. One day she stood in the middle of the drive and slit one wrist. Before she died she said “Jeff, leave me alone!” Right down the road is a tree that hangs over the road and once in a while you’ll see her and her little baby happy on the limb.

Well I don’t believe any of this story.
First it seems too brequilavent.
Seriously, How can a ghost be sitting happily on a limb after her husband had abused her and she killed herself?!

I have to say that I am absolutely amazed at how ignorant and and/or stupid some of the people are that post on this site. First of all, PLEASE use spell check; get hooked on phonics. Secondly, don’t even bother wasting seconds/minutes of someone else’s life – unless you have something useful to say. Geez!

I go to school in muncie and I have heard this story several times before, I think it would be cool to check out. There is also a great story about a room on the 8th floor of lafollette (BSU.) My friends and I tried to check it out once, but of course they wont let students in, although an RA did say no one has lived there since a girl killed herself.

I’ve lived in Muncie 12 years and have never heard this story. No offense, but the odd details actually make it less believable. If you know where the historical building is located, it is possible to determine if a suicide took place there. A little research starting with deeds/titles…Then court documents, police reports, censuses, obits, etc. could at least tell you if a ‘Jeff’ ever resided there….

i live in muncie,IN. i have all my life.
i have always been since a child, a fan of paranormal and as much as i’d love any ghost story to be true, i’m also a scientific, rational person.

Unfortunatly i have to inform you all that this story is not true, at least the ghost part. I’m not saying there wasnt a woman in this town somewhere at some point in time who slit her wrist but i have never heard such story and likely few residence here have either, but this story as posted is about as vague as it gets, however there no such ghost exists in any of the historical buildings here in muncie. I dont know who made it up, likely a local but it doesnt exist. There are mild hauntings in local houses here though.

It’s just a story. It’s just a story because there are no newspaper or police information. You are very naive if you just automatically believe this. Grow up, learn critical thinking skills and think for yourself. For me, there is no evidence that this is a true story. That, and the fact that there have never been any scientifically verifiable proof of the existence of ghosts, leads me to believe that this is fiction.

Look I have lived in Muncie for 9 yrs and i have never heard of this dumb story from anyone and i should know about if its true cause i work with the elderly and they love to talk about the past and history, trials and tribulations that have happend. None of them ahs spoken about this soposse scandalise act. So if your gonna right about ghost hauntings then maybe you should do your research and check out Muncie Historic District where many house are haunted like the Old Hospital on South Council Street. Use to be apartments but was soon abandon cause of the fact tenants couldnt reside there for the spirits who claimed the building before them first….
