Okay it has been a long time since i wrote about being there, NO i didn’t brake in and yes it was close, but my husband was in the Army NG at camp rilea and we used it for are men and women.I don’t care if you believe me or not but you must not live here because it has been open for many types of events.

Hi, I lived in the historical area of Ft Stevens for a few years. We were in the old officerss homes. In discussions with our neighbor, we found that both sides were haunted (they are duplexes). I often saw a shadow of a tall man. Sometimes in a top hat. We would smell maple syrop in the kitchen at the most unlikely times, right where the old stove was piped in. Our neighbor had many encounters and sightings.
About the old delapitated Flavel House. That is my favorite house in the area. We have been here for 3 years now, and I would give my right arm to see the inside of that place. Wish there were tours. I wouldn’t go in illegally.

To those who keep trying to get into the old Flavel House, please just stop it. To Chris Hayes – was it you and your buddy who threw the balustrade through the window of the old Flavel house in order to get in? Neighbors are trying to keep people OUT of the house so that they don’t do anymore damage to it, so anyone reading this, knock it off and stay OUT of the old Flavel house, we are now watching the old Flavel house full time, 24 hours a day and we WILL call the police if we see you lurking around the house.

the old flavel manison thats falling down is haunted. me and my buddys went in side to check things out and we had that feeling of being watched and creaky stairs and no body was upstairs

i lived in astooria my whole life i never expernced somthing upstaris at the liberty but down in the basement i alweays got a weird feeling would always feel like somthing was wathcing me in there and yes there is tunnels underground the my family owns a building in downtown and i have go about 25ft into the tunnels through the doors in the basement of there building got such a creepy feeling i ran out and never went back

The Flavel house is haunted, it was like at 11 at night, my family and i were driving by cause they just picked me up from the airport in Portland and we were driving home. I looked out the window, i don’t know why but it felt like something was drawing me to look at it. I look at the bay windows were Mrs. Flaval like to watch the ocean to see if she could she her husbands ship (or at least that was what i was told). A older looking lady was staring at me, she was in a victorian styled dress.It was the weirdest thing that i have ever seen, i asked if anyone else in the car saw her,(cause i was tired, it was like 11 at night we were all tired) they said “no”. But later that night my sister comes up to me and says “Clare i think i saw her, Mrs. Flavel”. i told some of my friend i go to school with most of them saw Mrs. Flavel one time or another.I always look at that spot when we are driving through, I didn’t see her again or least not yet.

the flavel house, is haunted i got gift and can see speak to Ghosts and spirits there a lot place in Astoria that are haunted

I am the current janitor of the Liberty Theater and I can honestly say that yes it is haunted but it’s not that creepy. I hear noises all the time and have actually had the lights go out while in the lower lobby which you could say is part of the basement and heard a womans voice behind me
