Real Haunted House

Madison City Hall

Madison, Ohio

Once a Civil War hospital and later an insane asylum, the city hall is now reportedly haunted. Each night, it is said that the police chief’s desk would be rearranged. Cameras will not work inside the building. People have also reported seeing others walking down the hall, but on second glance, no one will be there.

Some of the events such as seeing shadows or movements that are then gone could be explained. Depending on where in the building, based on inside and outside movements of everyday objects. It definitely sounds like a place our group needs to visit. I have driven by it a few times I think and just never knew exactly where or what it was. I’m fascinated by the abandoned house down 122? I think.. with the pole out in the field in front of it…

My cousin bought it at auction a few years back..My sister lives across the street from the building..When I visit I cant help but look and watch for something…I know the police station used to be there and they would hear screams on occasion..They say the hauntings take place mostly on the 3rd floor where a woman has been seen wandering the halls.

I can remember when the “HAUNTED?” sign was out front. I wish that I would have been able to call about it, but was always too busy.

My team has been wanting to go there, were located in Madison so if you all want an investigation we do it for free. But that place looks like it would be fun to investigate. My team member and i have been asking around to see who can let us in.

He got hit by a car a few weeks ago and now is in a nursing home and cant talk or anything so i want to do this as a dedication to him.

i live right across the street from that building. I saw lights flashing through the window and shadows running through the light. Sometimes around midnight I hear the noise of something moving like its right out my door. I am scared to this day.

I live in Madison, too. Right by a golf course. And I believe my house is haunted. I was home alone one day and I was downstairs on the computer then I wanted to go to bed and my room is the only room upstairs, it’s like an attic. And then I was going back downstairs to get something to drink and all the lights in the house were off except for my room. I’m scared of the dark so I had all the lights in the house on. Then when my family finally got home all the lights were back on. Then that exact same night I heard somebody walking up and down my stairs at two in the morning and that happened for a long time. Then I usually hear strange stuff like that or weird things always happen on October 11th each year.

I used to live in North Madison, down the road from Township Park. In my house I witnessed paranormal activity such as full-body apparitions, light bulbs exploding, scratching/clawing from the walls, knocking noises and I even had my hand grabbed from underneath a blanket that was on the bed when I put my hand on the blanket. This was in the late 1960′s. i lived in that house for 12-years and was glad to leave it.

About 12 years ago I had a heart-fluttering experience at the cemetery on Arcola Road when I was visiting there. I parked the car and walked over to the gravesite. As I was standing by the gravesite my car suddenly lurched forward several inches. It was very noticeable. It was similiar to when you get behind a car and give it a good push with the car in park. I was the only one in the cemetery at the time and it was nearing dusk. I finished my visit and then calmly left. It gave me quite a fright. Imagine standing away from your car and see it lurch forward.

I went there for my AV class for school!! (: it was really creepy. I wouldnt go on the top floor by myself in a million years. FREAKY! Ask any of my friends, I was pretty much possessed for 2 hours while we were there. I wouldnt respond to anyone and I would just stare off into space with a blank face. Weird thing is… I dont remember what happened during the 2 hours I was supposedly like that.
