Main Street
According to legend, a small girl fell down the stairs in this house, many years ago, and was killed upon her final impact with the floor. Her spirit is said to still lurk around the premises.

THIS STORY IS INDEED TRUE. IT WAS IN A BOOK CALLED “GHOSTS IN THE VALLEY” BY ADI KENT JEFFERIES. IT IS NO LONGER IN PUBLICATION. A PROFESSOR AT GLASSBORO COLLEGE WAS LIVING THERE AND AFTER THER PILLOW INCIDENT MOVED OUT. THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER FAMILIES THAT LIVED THERE ALSO. THIS WAS POSTED IN THR GLOUCESTER COUNTY TIMES 3X’S. GO AND RESEARCH THERE IS ALL I CAN SUGGEST. MOSTLY EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THIS HOUSE.

I don’t get why the girl would still haunt people, i mean it’s not like anyone killed her.My friend Jazzi said that our old principal used to live their, and that he was haunted. But I dont know, it could just be a story….

I lived in this house in 1985 with three fraternity brothers. This house is crazy! Every night the heat turned off, every night there were loud foot steps up and down the stairs, and incident when showers and radios just turned on and off. There was a crazy experience one night, when we went into the empty attic to drink (cause that’s what college kids do) and saw a little girl’s dress that was never there before. All of these experiences were incredible over the 4 months we lived there! At first we thought it was all just in our heads until a former tenant stopped by and started describing the same exact things. I never believed in this stuff until we actually experienced it! We actually started having fun with the experiences because we had no choice. We named the ghost Wally, (not knowing it was a girl) and named the house Wally’s world. There is now a documented story of a UPS guy that delivered a package to the house. After a complaint that the package never got there, it was investigated and the ups driver said the daughter signed for it. The people living there never had a daughter and the only legible part on the ups receipt appeared to be a signature with a first name Elizabeth. Pretty crazy! But those of us that were there during those months know that this stuff really happened!

I lived in this house…I heard about Elizabeth and everything…I didnt believe in ghosts then, but now i do…
Ok..So I just moved here, ignoring rumors. I lived there for about a 4 months when this happened. I had all funirture in, know where everything is, when I heard footsteps going up the stairs, then down. I thought it was my husband playing a joke so I looked out the window(to make sure) and his car wasnt there. So I just heard the footsteps touch the bottom when I was at the top. I was scared. I ran back to my room and called the police. They came and checked the house. This one policeman was talking to me at the top of the steps when he fell down them. Luckily, just his back was sore, and he got up. He said he felt a push. That’s when I decided tp leave..

My husband and I lived in this house with our two daughters at 317 N. Main St. between 1982 and 2000. Most of your posters here have the story right, a couple of you just want to see your name online. You didn’t live there when you claimed to have.
The house was being remodeled when we bought it and we did considerable work to it. Throughout the process it was evident something strange was going on but we didn’t know the story yet so didn’t relate it. I was painting in an upstairs bedroom and heard someone running up and down the steps only a few feet away. I turned the corner when the sound was loudest thinking our girls were playing on the steps. The steps were empty, the girls were fast asleep downstairs. Another time, my husband saw a figure of a female dressed in 1800s clothing sitting at the bottom of the stairs. After the remodeling was finished, things quieted down. We could hear boxes moving around the attic from time to time but no more sitings.

Hello to all. My name is Bert and I lived in this home briefly with relatives a few years ago. I couldn’t stay there long. Every time I would even go near the stairs, I would get sick. While going down the stairs on several occasions I fell. I was so freaked out by the occurences that I had to ask what happened in that house. Noone ever told me, I later found out in an article I read. I now understand the scratching on my window, the tripping down the stairs over something that wasn’t there, and the over all eerie feeling in the house. My relatives moved out soon after I left and my uncle asked to never speak to him of the house again. Now everything is clearer. Between the reading of the article I found and a few websites that have confirmed this story, I am a firm believer.

COMMENTING TO MARGRET: i have no idea what your comment has to do with the little girl in that house. your comment doesnt even have to do with this story at all. your mom is probaley some old lady thats senile and is losing her mind! and what does the pair of gloves have to do with anything? no disrespect but your comment was just stupid and pointless. fill free to comment me back margret
