Main Street
According to legend, a small girl fell down the stairs in this house, many years ago, and was killed upon her final impact with the floor. Her spirit is said to still lurk around the premises.

Are you Kenny’s roommate? I heard that my one friend Kenny moved into a house on Main Street that was haunted by a girl and another ghost. What is the true story behind the haunting?

So last night for what ever reason I decided to look up the haunted house my boyfriend’s aunt used to live in. We didn’t know what town it was in and had to call his parents today to find out where. That when I found this site. There was also another death in the house. My boyfriend’s cousin, a girl at the age of 16, committed suicide in her room on the second floor around 1999 or 2000.
His parents also have a story with this house. When my boyfriend was two (around 1990) his father took him to “the potty” and was reading a book to him while he went. While reading the story, they both heard a girl screaming “help me”. His father ignored it the first time but as he read it happened again. My BF kept asking “what was that” and his father looked around outside thinking it could be kids playing but no one was around so he gave up searching. He sat down on the ledge of the tub again and continued to read. The voice asked again “help me” and my bf said to his father “I think I’m done now”. For the rest of the visit my BF wouldn’t use that bathroom.

Gabz – you must be talking about Mr. Murphy. I remember when those quilt ladies would come in to do their stories – he would leave the room and never listen to that part. He never told us what happened, but our teacher told us that he had lived their in college. Creepy stuff. I never saw her looking out the window though so I can’t say she is or isn’t real. But I sort of believe it because Mr. Murphy – I very respectable man – was truly terrified of it.

Ok, as I said a few months ago, my friends and I now live in this house. Lizzy is still there, she likes to play on the stairs. She hasn’t bothered us in awhile though.
Mel- Do you know what room it was in upstairs? We knew that had happened but we could not find any information. Also, do you know her name?
And yes, the guy across the street told us all of those stories too. Actually our first coversation with him he said, “Trash goes out on Thursdays and did you know your house is haunted?”
So yes, the stories are true. We can not find her headstone. And it’s not as active or as exciting as everyone has made it out to be.

I was raised in the house next to this so called “haunted” one. Linda Hauck was the owner. She was born in 1864 and died in the late 1960′s. My mom and her were good friends. Her sister is the one who fell down the steps and died. Wasn’t pushed or killed. It was an accident. After Linda died my parents bought the house and I would be in there by myself upstairs taking wall paper off to get ready to paint. Nothing ever happened. No chills, voices, etc. It was when the college bought the house and the kids started having scenances (sp) that the problems began. Evil spirits are real but they can only get in when “invited”…the college kids did that.

okay i dislike people when they say people are crazy and or saying its all in someones head or just imagining but i do believe in that because i have my reasons but the people that are insulting others saying that others are crazy should prove to us that that place is or not haunted if they dont believe it that “stuff” because no one in this world should insult anyone because no one is perfect everyone has their flaws actually when you thing about it nobody in this world is normal everyone is weird in their own way

I live around the corner, a few block’s away. I’ve heard about the story of the house being haunted since I was a kid, I’m 33 now. In school, one of my teachers showed my class the book about the teacher who lived there and encounterd the ghost. The teacher in the book was Mr. Murphy, my principal at the time and I asked him if it really happened and he told me it did.
The 16 year old girl who killed herself was named Kim. One of my best friends & my girlfriend knew her very well, but I knew her a little bit. For a long time I wasn’t sure what house it was but when I met Kim I learned that she lived there. I’ve only been in the house once, I was there one night with my ex girlfrend in 2001 or 2002 so I was well aware of the history of the house at the time but nothing strange happened to me when I was there. My girlfriend at the time lived there because it was a sorority house, so yeah, alot of people lived there, for those of you who doubt the amount of people claiming to have lived there. I can’t say all of them are being honest, but I know the woman claiming to have lived there from 1982 to 2000, really lived there. She posted the correct address, and it’s a yellow house if anyone’s wondering.
