I think the story of Mary’s house is different from the house on Hellyer Ave. There’s something going on in the house of Hellyer Ave … I just know it. The house simply can’t sell, but there are people there who clean and maintain it.

I don’t know of any Mary’s House in San Jose, but I doubt the house on Hellyer Ave is the Mary’s house. This should be on a different thread.

And for the record, Debbie .. you don’t have any photos of anything inside the house. So uh. Yeah. Anyone can see the house from the outside. Anyone can see a haunted house from the outside. You can say it’s a hoax, but by showing us pictures of the outside does no justice for the argument.

I’ve lived in San Jose for my entire life. And tales of the house on Hellyer are rampant. All I really know is that it’s been unoccupied for YEARS now. Many many years, over five years for sure. It looks really nice though and I have heard of people moving in only to wake up outside. The house did not sell when people were buying houses before the economy crashed and although the economy is recovering it remains vacant. I have seen a car on the driveway once before, but I believe that it is the owner taking care of the property. I also believe this is not “Mary’s House” because the Alum Rock area is more north and on the East Side of the city. The Hellyer and Senter house is more south from the Alum Rock area and is located in the South Side. I hope that clears up some confusion for everyone.

It’s true. The house in San Jose is a hoax. I know the family and they just started the rumors to be on this site. Dang, people believe anything. SORRY, GUYS!

people live in this house cars are parked in garage. not haunted which is why because and of this site and others comments they now have video cameras outside on their garage.

If this house isn’t haunted, then why are the window blinds in the front of the house always closed everytime i go through intersection?

my friend just told me that he saw that house with the garage door open and the owner taking out the trash believe it or not and he saw that 6 months ago…

i dont get this. it sounds like it came from my mind. the mind that makes up stuff just to talk. i believe some of it, but it doesnt have much detail and doesnt make sense

Where is this house? I really want to go there myself and see if this story is actually true. I’ve read about this house, about her throwing a cat down the hallway, and about her setting fire to the house on numerous occasions, but I want to know for sure. Does anyone know where exactly this house is?
