My name is Judy Torres ( Torres Trucking & Excavating & Demolition) Our family was responsible for the excavation and demolition of Metz Elemantary. It is very hard to read comments that state the events that happened are not true. During the time of the demolition, we encountered children laughing and writing on the chalkboard and yes, their was an exorcisim performed on site. We also lost an employee because of the events.
We did demolish the entire school. Since then it has been rebulit and is once again operating as Metz Elementary. Their are reports that the hauntings are still happening at the new school. I would like to respond to all the comments. I have notified my siblings so that they can help me in responding to the comments. Our Father, Joe Torres recently passed away but since this is a family business most of us were their when the events happened and would be glad to answer as many questions as possible.

WELL I KNOW THIS STORY IS VERY REAL THE REASON THAT I KNOW THAT FOR ONE IS BECAUSE I USE TO GO TO THAT SCHOOL AND FOR TWO MY LATE GRANDFATHER JOE TORRES WHO OWNED TORRES TRUCKING IS THE ONE WHO TORE DOWN THE SCHOOL.THEY HAD MANY EXPERIENCE’S THERE.MY GRANDFATHER LOST NOT ONLY WAS HE A CO-WORKER BUT A GOOD FRIEND WHILE DOING THE JOB THERE WAS NO EXPLANATION TO HOW OR WHY IT HAPPEN.MY UNCLES WERE ALSO WORKING WITH HIM AND THEY ALL HAD THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE’S.THIS JOB FOR MY GRAND FATHER WAS A VERY SCARY JOB BUT HE ALWAYS SAID THAT NO MATTER WHAT THERE WAS NOT A JOB HE COULDNT FINISH.IT IS TRUE ABOUT THE MACHINES AND ALL THE TRUCKS TURNING OFF AND THE LATTER SKAKE-N AND THE MESSAGES ON THE SHALK BOARDS AND THE KIDS THEY SAW.THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS THAT HAPPEN. I REALLY DONT RECALL THE EXORCISM BUT I KNOW THEY HAD A EXPERT GO THERE AND SHE SAID THAT THOSE WERE NOT EVIL SPIRITS THEY JUST WANTED TO BE LEFT ALONE HER NAME WAS ELAINE IRELAND (PARAPSYCHOLOGY).I KNOW THERE IS A NEW SCHOOL WICH WAS REBUILT OVER THE OLD ONE IS STILL NAMED METZ AND I HEAR THERE IS STILL A LOT OF THINGS GOING ON THERE WHICH REALY DOES NOT SUPRISE ME.BUT FOR ALL OF YOU WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IT I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY. I GUESS YOU WOULDN’T UNLESS YOU WERE THERE OR WENT TO THAT SCHOOL.

It really amazes me that for those who say that they went to school period who’ve posted some of these comments, it sure doesn’t show.
To those involved, or affected by the tragedy, my heart and condolences go out to you and the families, and those who call them liars, have a heart, put your opinion aside, and give respect. Grow up Crystal.

i went to that school but then moved becase something fell on me when no one was around and i broke my arm and i still have the scar from the desk

Yes, it is true about Metz Elementary. There were several news stories published about it in the Austin American-Statesman newspaper in the early 90’s, when the original building was torn down and replaced by a new one. Please refer to the Statesman’s archived articles on their web site.

to all the people that say its fake… go to HELL!!! my oldest sister and cousins went there before it was demolished and they say they heard things and seen things. I went there after they tore down the old school and rebuilt the new bigger metz. I always had bad feelings going to the restroom by myself, i always felt like someone was in there with me. to all who want to know where it is, its in Austin, Tx on the east side (on robert t. martinez and willow)

hey im from Victoria and my third grade teacher been to Metz school before.She said that one of the teachers heard children in the halls but there was nobody there.So i do believe that there are ghost at Metz school. p.s you don’t have to say bad things about other pepole how would you like that if somone did that to you?
