Real Haunted House

Mooney’s Mansion

Columbus, Ohio

During the 1950s, a couple lived in this mansion until the husband axed his wife to death and buried her in the woods surrounding the house. The statue of the woman that the husband had erected as a wedding gift when the two first married now appears to bleed–due to the ax wounds. The husband’s ghost is said to inhabit the upstairs bedroom in which the murder took place.

I have been down walahalla a couple times, once during the day, once at night.. I have no clue where this mansion or house is, but maybe i’ll have to get out and walk up the steep hills….? I assume you the driveway to this house is not off of walahalla because the house must sit at the top of the ravine? i have never encountered anything odd while driving near the bridge or anything else. After reading through all the comments, I understand why the address isn’t listed.. because the address isn’t even on Walhalla road.. it’s gotta be off that road in which the bridge runs over… next time i’ll try to find that road from high…so we’re on top of the bridge… any help on this?

i went down there in 1991 with my older sister and two friends. we saw nothing that relates to house but we were chased by a 1950s type car that vanished about half way down the road. we also saw four tall men walking very strange looking dogs. one of the men turned and faced us. he looked like he had no eyes and deathly white skin. i have been down that road since then and never saw anything of the sort. it was either a real supernatural experience or someone played a great joke on us. i will never know

OK all. This is FOR REAL.The place is STILL scary as hell.Stories of lights flickering on & off with electric NOT powered to the house. It IS on WALHALLA Dr.,off Indianola Dr.It may be accessed off High St.Once You turn on Walhalla, the road descends downward. The road is windy and treelined. This place will scare the hell out of you.Supposedly owned by a cult of somekind,as the windows are totally blacked out.yes people do walk on the grounds at Halloween,so If you believe in Safety in Numbers,go then.In Clintonville area of Columbus. It’s also called the house in Glen Echo Ravine,as well as Mooney Mansion.Time to be creeped…

I have been on Walhalla numerous of times even been up to the house just once. This is suppose to be true but haven’t seen anything. Yes, they say you can be able to see shadow of the woman that was killed by her husband in the house, but the husband supposedly hung himself off of Calumet brigde. This was suppose to be a murder-suicide.And yes, your suppose to ee a figure of him, as well, hanging from the bridge. But i have heard people said they have experienced od driving down the road getting close to the house, the their cars would start to accelerate faster. But that hasn’t happened to me. But if your willing to go thru Walhalla, it is a one way street off of Indianola, not far from studio 35 (which is also haunted). Not sure of the address, but it is a big white mansion on the left side, right next to Calumet brigde, you can’t miss it. It sits on top of a hill. Have fun investigating!

I went there when i was a little kid a few years ago. Me and my friends went up there at midnight on halloween day to see things that were said to happen. Things like a blue light that always glows in the top floor window and status with blood coming out of there face. Me and my friends made it about halfway up the stairs when a man started run down after us from the house screaming and yelling. That night we saw the blue light. Now this blue light i remember was very very very strange. It was as if the light came from something uniformly glowing. I quickly ruled out a computer screen, a lamp, or any other household things. The next day when went all the way up to the house and saw the status had red stains distinctly coming from there eyes. I was soooo spooked about the whole thing. Now im no ghost preacher, i often think ghost shows on tv are fake, but one thing is for sure there were red stains from the eyes of the status that were designed as a water fountain and there was an ire unexplainable blue glow from the top left window of the mansion
