Yea Me my girls friend and 2 other buddys had herd this story about this head light that somes down the road and disapears from our older brothers. So we figured it would be fun to go that night since it was the night of friday the 13. Our brothers told us that the story was that along time a go a 17 year old girl and a 20 soemthing old guy was dateing and her parents didnt aprove so she would sneak out and they woudl meet at this old barn down the street.And that one night he was comeing to meet her and hit an animal on that road and wrecked and died. So they said if on the way ur there if we seen animals in the road then it would defently work and that we had to go to that barn and get out and walk back to it and touch it and then come back to the car and go around the corner and turn off the car and flash the head lights three times. We drove all the way up there and went to the barn at about 11pm then we all got out they was scared sh*tless i was lovin it so i was runnin to the barn that time we got about 10 foot from the barn and then everyone took off and left me there so i went back to the car and we went down the street and flashed the lights we sat there for a good 8 mins and nothing happend. so we went back to the barn this time aaron and mike got closer to the barn i could’nt cause my gf was to scared to get that close. then we went down the street agin and flashed the lights and sat there.My gf said look theres a red light. there was a red light that kept going back and forth across the road and then we seen what looked like someone going back and forth. then it disaperd and about 2 mins later a single headlight started comeing I still didnt belive it at first then it kept comein closer and closer then disaperd. we took off down the road and there was nothing there. It didnt get close enough for me so i made them turn around and go back. O and by the way on the way up there we alomst hit a dear crossing the road and 2 posems and a racoon. anyways we got back to the barn and everyone was freaking out. I wanted to go and actully touch the barn to see if that would make it get closer so i jumped out and noone would come with me so they just sat there in the car while i tried to talk them in to comeing wiht me then across the street something was in the corn feild goign threw it then all of a sudden we was looking a head down the path to the barn and a deer came out of the weeds stoped turned its head and staired at us. It was 11:55 at that time so we just jumped in to the car and when to the spot and flased our lights. we sat there and waited, agin there was the red light then soon after that there was the single light it got closer this time then we seen lights comeing from behind us so mike started the car and took off we hit about 70mph and the light was gone then the lights behind us turned out to be a cop Haha so he pulled us over and everything and we told him what we was doing and he never would tell us if he had seen it before but he let us go thank god and told us not to come back. one hell of a friday the 13th. I would have never belived it if i didnt see it so if you dont belive then go up there and try it. I just wish i knew the real story of what happended

My boyfriend and I went last night to see the motorcyle lights. He had heard the story at school so we decided to go check it out. But we ran out of time and had to head back home. So we’re going tonight and hopefully get to witness this!!

I am a 30 year old married mother of one, so believe me when I say that I am way beyond “ghost stories”. With Halloween upon us, I told my son about the light and happened upon this website while trying to provide him with additional information on the story. I was a Miami University student in the mid to late ’90’s, and made more than one journey to this location. I have heard various stories and various theories as to why the light appears and what it could be (I was always told that the girl hung herself in the large tree in her front yard after her boyfriend’s death). I have tried for the past 10 years to somehow explain what I saw, as I generally discount most ghost stories as superstition or coincidence. The truth is, I saw it and remember it coming toward me vividly. It is hard not to believe when I read the accounts of other witnesses, whom I have never met, and they are so disturbingly similar to my own. If you are a true ghost hunter, I highly recommend you make a trip to Oxford.

I myself have been to this site with my husband friends and sisters, and in deed i think that this road is hunted by the young lover driving the motorcycle who was awaiting the flashing of his girlfriends bedroom window so they could have a little night cap, when she finally flashed her lights to started her way like many nights before this one was the same, or so he thought he rounded the bend and was struck by a semi- truck. if you go to his girlfriends house and flash your lights 3 times he will come unaware of his own death, and reliving the day he never reached his love.

i have witnessed this site alsoit is some truly freaky shitone of my good friends lives on this road. The name of the road is 9 mile road. My friend’s house is also haunted i dont know the legends of his house, nor does he, but when i saw this we blinked the lights 3 times and sure as day we saw the headlight coming around the bend i started freaking out like a little ***** , lol but it was one of my best memories. You guys are all full of it. I went there flashed my headlights and absolutely nothing happened. Your imaginations are running a bit wild. To anyone who is reading all of the “testimonies” it is a crock. Be honest here, you can’t honestly say this happened!

I have been to this site several times. The first time I went I was with a few of my friends and we had heard this story from one of my friend’s older brothers. We took a video tape along with us and we turned around and parked in the spot where you are supposed to. We turned the car off..flashed the headlights 3 times..and a dim-yellow light headed towards us. We all freaked out and turned the car on to drive away and as soon as the car came on the light faded away. we drove off, turned around and decided to try again. We got back to the spot turned the car off and tried again. and again the yellow-dim light started to come towards us. Then it was joined by two bright white lights, which were headlights of another car far off, but then the car turned and the light was still there. We have this all on video tape. Another night I went with my boyfriend and one of his friends and we went and parked, flashed the lights and again the light appeared. My boyfriend and his friend were very interested in trying to figure out what this could be, we turned the car on and started driving towards the light. We saw the general area where the light was, so we drove there and stopped. My boyfriend and his friend got out of the car to investigate but they couldnt see anything that could cause this. We decided to go back and try another time. And once again it worked. As we started to head home we passed some people out in their driveway (it was about 11:30 at night on a Sunday) It was a woman with 3 kids. All of the lights in her house were turned off, the garage door was shut but her and the 3 kids were standing at the very edge of her driveway…just standing there. We decided to stop to see what they would say because we thought they might be responsible for doing the light, but we stopped to talk to them and the mom said that none of the story was true, so we figured if they were dedicated enough to do this all the time they wouldn’t just tell people that it didn’t work. We talked to this woman about 5 minutes. and she told us that most of the land out there is haunted. The hosue she lives in was built 5 years ago and is haunted, she proceeded to tell us many things about the house and land out there being haunted but I can’t remember it all. After we left and were driving home we were talking about how weird it was that these people were out in their driveway about 11:30 at night on a worknight with a few little kids (probably from 6-9 years old)All the lights in the hosue were off..keep in mind that these houses are probably 200 yards from the road. and as we were tlaking to the lady the kids didnt say one word. Normal kids would try to interrupt and tell their side of the ghost story..and we jsut thought it was odd that the kids didn;t say anything..could they have been ghosts themselves?

I am a full believer in the afterlife and the occult but I went there about a week ago and saw NOTHING! I was there with a friend who said that they saw it before so I was game (scared but game). I only saw other cars coming above and below the hills that we just drove on. My friend said that it was because the house that they usually had to use to turn around in their driveway was not there anymore. Anyone got any ideas? I would love to share in the experience.

I disagree, you can definitely say it happened…of course being majorly intoxicated or spaced out at the time does help. Still, anything is possible.

Simple been there done that It has been awhile but what I can remember is that the way the Rd. turns it faces you so that in the day time you can see the oter rd so therefore at night you cant see the rd all the way and you are seeing traffic on another rd

It is true. I went there with 2 of my good friends when I was a freshman at Miami U. I’m sort of a believer in this kind of stuff but my two friends are definitely the scientific skeptical type. We drove out there flashed our headlights 3 times and sure enough a single headlight appeared in the distance coming up the hill. We were seriously freaked out and took off as fast as we could. We stopped once we turned off the road to see if it was just a car with a broken headlight and nothing came.

Directions to the light as we call it. I dont’ know where you live but the easiest way i know is to take 75 toward hamilton, then get on 129 and take that all the way through hamilton and the road will turn into 177 take 177 until you get to 73, turn right onto 73 take 73 until you get a farm with a white fence and a sign with a cow on it, turn right onto the road right after the farm take that all the way back. You will get to a bend in the road take the bend and on the right you will see a old metal gate, turn around in that driveway and go back around the bend stop on the third hill flash your lights 3 times and enjoy the ride, it really works I have probably been there 20 times.
