Motorcycle Crash
It is said that many years ago, a serial rapist was running rampant through the town. Late one night a car pulled up to one females house and started flashing the lights and honking the horn. Fearing that it was the rapist, the young lady called her beau to come and protect her. Hurriedly trying to reach his love, the man was killed trying to make a sharp turn on his motorcycle. Allegedly, if one goes to the site of the girls house and flashes his lights and honks his horn, the light of the motorcycle may be seen coming around the bend.

Hi my name is Falon, and I am the founder of Cincinnati Ohio Paranormal Investigators. My team and I went to this location. Also knows as the “Oxford light”.”Mike on the Bike”. The legend as I have always heard is of 2 lovers torn apart buy their parents. “Mike” who lived in the (now torn down) home just around the curve, went to pick his girlfriend up so they could run away together. You are supposed to park at the girl’s mailbox…flash your lights..wait…and you will see one headlight coming up the hill, and when you see the red break light-it’s time for you to leave. We have spent many hours looking for the light, and have succeed almost every time. People come from all over to see this. Sometimes you will even have to wait in line…literally. HOWEVER, as a paranormal research team, we went there one night trying to “debunk” this legend. After 4 hours…we did. The light you are seeing is nothing more than the headlight of a car from almost a mile away. (from a distance the 2 headlights blend together as one…giving you the illusion of a motorcycle light) This street is very long, and very straight. When you see the red break light, it is of a car turning…when they turn you are only able to see one side of the car’s break lights. I can go into more detail if needed-you can email me with any questions. =) So although it is quite amusing to hear the legend-and almost immediately see the light-things are not always whet they seem. Don’t waste your gas $ on this one folks. Thanks!

Yeah, I was born a paranormal researcher. What people don’t realise is that one doesn’t have to have to have any special training to be one. There is no license, but if you don’t get permission from the proper authorities to formally investigate, not only are you operating in a manner unbefitting of the honesty of the experiment, your investigation is not valid. I have been in contact with the proper authorities, and they don’t take this lightly. That being said, yes, you can see the headlights from other cars, but if that is all you saw, you did not see this ghost.

the glare of peoples headlights shine off the road and since there is hills it goes up and down and then sometimes there is no hill 4 awhile thats what makes it seem to disapeer!I tested it on tv!

I myself have been out there on a couple of occasions. The first time I was out there I was in high school with a group of friends. We seen the light and was freaked out and took off and then a car followed us and chased us getting really close to the back of the car and coming up beside the car the girl who was driving lost control and we wrecked the car drove off. The next time was myself and a boyfriend months later I had told him what happened to my friends and I and he was skeptical like most people. We did it once seen it. He was in shock so we went and did it again seen it again. We got down to 732 and turned right headed back into town and less than a mile down the road a deer ran out in front of us totalling his car. I have swore I would never go again and haven’t. It could just be a run of bad luck but both times I have went has involved an automobile accident. Something is weird about that place.

I have personally seen this first hand over 10 times. I used to take people up there to scare them and get good laughs but now one the residents has put a big spot light up because people had to go and be disrespectful and tear stuff up. Its no fun if you know the answer but i can tell you its no ghost. I did an experiment with 2 other buddies and proved the myth to be false. If you really must know the answer, its almost like an optical illusion. Down the road is a stop sign where Somerville road intersects with the road of the “haunted motorcycle light” or around here we just call it “the light”. Well, at the stop sign there is a large hill. Now, at night if you park at the “sweet spot” (like the 3rd mailbox from the turn) it looks like you cant see that hill after the stop sign. It looks like the hill right in front of you blocks the view when in reality it does not. Your eyes play tricks on you in the dark. I dropped my buddies off at the sweet spot and drove off. I came down the hill while talking to them on a cell phone, turned my lights off, turned them on, turned my brights on, they saw everything and verified that it was me. My vehicle was so far away that it looked like one light….hence the motorycle light legend. The light “magically” disappears because the stop sign at the bottom of the hill is out of view and they simply turn onto Sommerville road. The red light is somebody turning off of Sommerville road and going up the hill towards 73. I hate posting the “answer” to this riddle, it is a fun time and a fun local hand-me-down story. But the residents out there are afraid of somebody getting into an accident because they turn their headlights off and sit in the road in order to see “the light”. Plus some things got vandalized and most police will tell you its dangerous and to leave. Definitely used to be something to see, but since that spotlight got put up out there it really ruins the effect. I guess better safe than sorry. I’d much rather a fake ghost story than a sad tragic story of some kids sitting in a car with their headlights off and getting hit head on by somebody who didnt see them.

I believe in this stuff. Seen it, experienced many things, I am fascinated by these things, and would love to explore so much more. I think it would be a great way to make a living.
