Me and a few of my guy friends have went out there several times to see the light. While we are waiting we usually play hide the weenie, its really fun if you know what I mean. The last time we were there was August 2010, it was just Paul and I this time, we were in his yellow VW bug with the top down and we took turns watching for the light while playing hide the weenie. We never did see the light but it was such a nice night so we stayed there and tried to help each other quench our burning desires. By the time we got dressed and left around 4am we were both drained (literally) and had sore bottoms.

I believe in this stuff. Seen it, experienced many things, I am fascinated by these things, and would love to explore so much more. I think it would be a great way to make a living.

I have personally seen this first hand over 10 times. I used to take people up there to scare them and get good laughs but now one the residents has put a big spot light up because people had to go and be disrespectful and tear stuff up. Its no fun if you know the answer but i can tell you its no ghost. I did an experiment with 2 other buddies and proved the myth to be false. If you really must know the answer, its almost like an optical illusion. Down the road is a stop sign where Somerville road intersects with the road of the "haunted motorcycle light" or around here we just call it "the light". Well, at the stop sign there is a large hill. Now, at night if you park at the "sweet spot" (like the 3rd mailbox from the turn) it looks like you cant see that hill after the stop sign. It looks like the hill right in front of you blocks the view when in reality it does not. Your eyes play tricks on you in the dark. I dropped my buddies off at the sweet spot and drove off. I came down the hill while talking to them on a cell phone, turned my lights off, turned them on, turned my brights on, they saw everything and verified that it was me. My vehicle was so far away that it looked like one light....hence the motorycle light legend. The light "magically" disappears because the stop sign at the bottom of the hill is out of view and they simply turn onto Sommerville road. The red light is somebody turning off of Sommerville road and going up the hill towards 73. I hate posting the "answer" to this riddle, it is a fun time and a fun local hand-me-down story. But the residents out there are afraid of somebody getting into an accident because they turn their headlights off and sit in the road in order to see "the light". Plus some things got vandalized and most police will tell you its dangerous and to leave. Definitely used to be something to see, but since that spotlight got put up out there it really ruins the effect. I guess better safe than sorry. I'd much rather a fake ghost story than a sad tragic story of some kids sitting in a car with their headlights off and getting hit head on by somebody who didnt see them.

I myself have been out there on a couple of occasions. The first time I was out there I was in high school with a group of friends. We seen the light and was freaked out and took off and then a car followed us and chased us getting really close to the back of the car and coming up beside the car the girl who was driving lost control and we wrecked the car drove off. The next time was myself and a boyfriend months later I had told him what happened to my friends and I and he was skeptical like most people. We did it once seen it. He was in shock so we went and did it again seen it again. We got down to 732 and turned right headed back into town and less than a mile down the road a deer ran out in front of us totalling his car. I have swore I would never go again and haven't. It could just be a run of bad luck but both times I have went has involved an automobile accident. Something is weird about that place.
