This haunted house scared me. A zombie popped out in front of me from outta nowhere and I immediately crapped in my pant's!!!! You shoulda seen me singing Feed My Frankenstein as I was trying to walk through the haunted house with diarrhea dripping down my leg's going right into my leather boot's. Some leaked onto the floor and the people behind me stepped in it and made smelly brown sneaker mark's throughout the house. 1 of the people slipped on my diarrhea puddle and fell flat on there ass!! I had no choice but to laugh. Needless to say it was a very scary and very smelly adventure. Be sure to wear adult diapers when you walk in. Explosive Diarrhea is inevitable.

And, btw, the food was great! One of the toughest things about living there was the wonderful aroma that constantly drifted upstairs, wanted to eat constantly! :)

I actually lived in an apartment in this building for a couple of years, and I loved the place. I moved to Florida seven years ago, and was very sad to hear from relatives in the area that the building had been abandoned and was boarded up. I did a web search, and found several locations like this, that mentioned the Normandie, and was very happy to see that someone was taking in interest in renovating the building.

To answer some of the things that were mentioned here, yes, Winnie and D*ick were the owners when I lived there, and I've often wondered what happened to them, as well as the sons that also worked there.

The place was quite spooky when I was the only one in it, which did happen fairly often after the restaurant was closed and Winnie and D*ck were out. I do believe the place is haunted, as I had one very real experience, along with many other minor ones, and my guests did as well.

I hope whoever did buy the place take good care of it, a little loving care will go a long way.

I live in upstate n.y. and i lived in yama farms and they have there own website but only tell of the history of it being a resort. well i lived in one of the houses there that are still in its original state. i moved in with my 3 children, 2girls and my son...what a scary experience for a whole year of renting that i couldn't wait till my lease was up so i could move. the attic always had sounds of someone walking up there, so i wouldn't go up there for anything i stored, instead i would send my boyfriend cause it was really scary and had a cold feeling even in the summer. Then the first 2 weeks we were living there you would here little footsteps in the hallway like a child was running and the doors would open on there own so i purchased latch locks for every bedroom and the bathroom. Then 3 months later my 16 year old daughter was terrified cause she seen a small boy in her room by her closet and she seen him quite frequently and named him jake...Now i was scarred for my children and couldn't wait to leave that house..so my lease was up in june of 08 and 2 weeks before leaving to move i was making breakfast for my family and i went to take the food from the stove to the table and there this little boy stood in the doorway of my kitchen..i sat in the chair and cried cause it was like i felt all his pain rush right through me..he was so sad looking and was dressed in overalls with a bob haircut...old fashion black shoes...i never seen something so vivid in my life...so for all those nonbelievers don't judge what you have not experienced! These things are real and i can put my life on it!!

You know, Kimberlee, I bet your right. At a hotel in Scotland that was once a house, a little girl was murdered by two men, and now the little girl's ghost trys to lead anyone who listens or follows to where the murderers put her body. How would that help her? I'm not shore.
