Old Elerbe Road School

This former school was closed due to the disappearances of several people, one being a beloved janitor. When the children went to look for him, they too disappeared–one by one. All that remains is a building in which all the lockers have been knocked out; in their place is a mural of the grim reaper. At night, one may hear the screams of children and the sound of a school bell.

i went out there at 2:00am in the mornin and the only thing that was scary was the darkness and the police. They showed up because it private property.So dont go its a waste of ur time

IT’S DEFINATELY REAL!!!!! Me and some friends went out there several years ago and I didn’t believe the stories myself until I experienced them. We went into what a girlfriend of mine called the altar and the door slammed shut, the only way out was this tiny opening at the bottom of the wall. If I had been any bigger I would have been stuck in there until what ever closed the door decided to let me out or whatever it may have been wanting to do. Before the door closed I had touched the stone table and it was very hot to the touch leaving scars on my hands from touching it. Once we got out of the “altar room” we then went to the gym where it felt as though somebody was watching over us. I never actually seen anything in that room, but I know that we were not alone. It wasnt very long after proceeding to the hallway where the lockers are knocked down that we all began to hear screams and seen something black moving in the shadows towards us very rapidly. This definately scared the mess out of all of us and we began running back to our car. Whatever or whoever that was definately didn’t want us there and we could hear it running behind us all the way to the car. We drove as fast as we could and as we got to the crossing where the tracks are our car nearly wrecked. We then looked up and the moon had a cloud that resembled the shape of a goats head around it. I will never return to the school ever again. I dont know what or who that was or why they are there but they definately dont want to be disturbed. SCEPTICS BEWARE

Its true. I have been and its definately one of the spookiest places ive ever been. I went out there around midnight and saw shadows, heard voices, and even found dried blood on the walls.We ran out so scared! Me, my b-friend, and this guy got into his car only to find trouble as the fan belt had broken and I had to take off my pantyhose to let him use them for a fan belt. I’ll go back but when I can get enough nerve.

I went one time just recently… the stories that i heard were much similar but also different…i have heard that an old man owns all of that land now and keeps his cows out there..i have heard that if he catches someone out there he will start shooting no matter who you are…you are on his property and he has the right….anyways..me and my friends went out there i like scary stuff well as we got there, we started walkin in there, we had a big spot light..me and my friend ashley came back bc it looked scary i finally went in and there was only cows and cow droppings..im sure the dried blood that yall talk about is from the cows..i didnt go into many places in there bc i wanted to get out…wasnt that scart just dark..for a note: If you do decide to go there, watch out bc the police are bad and only bring a little flash light bc the school has no roof and the police can easily see a flash light from the road…Have fun!!!

So…

I went to the school last night… there is not only that one lone building that the intro paragraph talks about, but there five (I believe) buildings. One was a cafeteria, one was a gym, another an auditorium, and the last two being classrooms. There was also a small building out by the water tower, both being offset from the school by fifty yards, I think it was a circuit room. There was no STONE ALTAR, it was a stage made mostly out of concrete and it had decomposed remnants of wood flooring covering the top of it. Also, if you can’t get through the random rectangular holes along the bottoms of the walls, than you must be really effing fat. Also, there are many completely busted out windows that are more than an ample size for someone of normal size to go through quickly. We saw no dead cows (though there were many live ones, all rather stupid and skittish), nothing scary happened (although we did scare some really retarded redneck kids from Byrd High School), no dried blood on the walls (just lots of graffiti), and there were no psycho hobos inhabiting the school.

So, basically, nothing scary happened. I seriously recommend that you bring flashlights, and don’t freak out if your cell phone gets no signal because remember, you are waaaaaay out in the boonies. I also say that you should wear shoes to run in, ladies, that means NO HEELS. Shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty, because there is mucho cow manure in the school. If you hear a car coming (you can hear them coming way before they can see the school) you should turn your flashlights because the cops do watch that area. DO NOT park in front of the place, we parked a mile or two down the road, way back on a plant road, so that our cars were hidden from view. Also, use the bathroom before you go…

first of we parked ohh about 2 miles away so the cops didnt see us. we were walkin gin the school dodging cow manure!…ewwww….we entered a hall way to the left at the beginning an dwe saw a hoel lot of demonic wrinting and blood on the walls. then we entered the gym and there is a big devil sign and a black devil….then we went into a class room and were chased out by a cow so we slaughtered it ….then shortly after our demonic ritual ….we took the insides of the cow and set it at the feet of the black devil and then i went into a dark sleep and awoke naked inside of a cows carcass…..

Hey, I’ve been there before. It was really close or right after Halloween. It’s really not that bad. What the mind percieves, the body believes. I do think there may be some type of “existance” out there, but I’ve also found nothing at all. Sometimes, it FEELS very eerie, but nothing usually happens. If you know where Bert Kouns and 1-49 is, then your somewhat close. It’s easy after this. Get to wallace lake road. Go down and you’ll pass up the little car dealership and B&J flooring. After this proceed to the stop sign. This is Wallace Lake Rd. and Flourney Lucas Rd. Go left and then you will go over some train tracks (this is the site of the forbing woods ghost as well). Keep going until you see the intersection. At the red light (could be green), go right and THIS is ELLERBE ROAD. You will have to drive many miles. Really, about 20 minutes or so. You’ll come up on a red or yellow flashing light way out there and just keep driving. Some ways up the road you WILL see it on the right hand side. There ya go!! Oh by the way, the view on top of the school is pretty cool…. I pee’d there once…HA! Good luck!

I have been there. There was some stuff that freaked me out, but nothing really that would make me think that there was an angry spirit in there. I think they are just looking for a way out….. Does anyone know why the people went missing anyway? I have heard alot of different stories but none that have ever really made that much since.

i dont know where they came up with somethin so stupid, but thats not what happened. the school was burnt down by the janitor, with all the kids in the auditorium. anything else is false information.

ive witnessed a disaperence. me and my friend said people lie and try to scare you. we werent scared until we got to the school. then we got a little terrified! we heard screaming a kids in the classrooms, in the gym, in the autotoriam and in the halways. we walked through the hallways and the door slamed shut! we screamed a when we were done screaming the kids screamed louder! we saw lines of blood on the walls and saw holes under the walls. we held hands as we walked over all the lockers on the floor. first we went to the gym and saw black shadow shaped of a person pointing to the door that lead back outside. we ran out of the gym and then went to the autotoriom. Now as we went int the we saw a janitor with blood all ove him on the stage a kids screaming. we again ran out of there as fast as we can. we suffered the classrooms. there was nothing scary about that but we saw blood on the walls. this time we walked out of the classrooms. We decided to go down the different hallways alone this time. we both had watches and i said to her” meet me on the bench next to the front door at 10:00 pm.” she said “deal”. we hugged and said good luck to eachother. it was 9:55 pm and i was heading down the hallway to the bench as i heard screaming down the hallway that my friend alexa went. i thought it was the uasal screaming that we heard since we walkled into the is place. it was exacually 10:00 pm when i sat down on the bench. i was wondering where alexa was. 5 minutes past and i started to call alexa’s name. i heard the screaming again and this time i heard “help” and it was alexa’s voice. she shaid ” i am by classroom 101 come and help me”. i ran down to classroom 101 and nobody was there. i said “alexa this is not funny tell me where you are. now!!!!!!!!!” i ran into the classroom and nobody was there neither. i saw a shadow pass by the lockers and go into the walls. i have noticed that my friend alexa had just disapered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i ran as super fast as i can and went into the cracks under the walls and ended up in the back of the school. i climed over the fence hopped into my car and drove off crying histerical and i drove off before the cops caught me. as soon as i got into the door i told my whole family and then called alexa’s whole family and then called the cops and told them!!!

A year or two ago I went there around 8am with two of my friends. I remember feeling the hairs on my arm rise and how the tree’s seemed like they were bending at us as we went further down the road. I got my friend to take pictures when he went in there because I was too scared to even exit the vehicle. I developed the pictures and the developments were pretty scary. I have pictures to prove taht there is SOMETHING in that buildign haunting the school. There’s a shadowy image at the far end of a hallway reflecting on the door entrance. When you flip the picture over, which is the scariest part ever. It looks like someone hanging upside down by it’s head.. now you tell me if that’s not scary or not, or maybe it’s just a coincidence? Or something. All I know is that I’ve been there 3 times and it still gives me that errie feeling. I haven’t been there since, I won’t ever enter the building because one of my friends, friends who brought a vid. tape to record she heard alot of children screaming int he tape. But what was scary about is that while she recorded she didn’t hear anything but when she played the tape at home there was noise. Wierd huh?

i have been there and noting happened… it was scary and cool to walk in though… i drive by alot and yell at the cows! haha! but yeah theres nothing really there but an old torn up school…its really dark and beware of the cops! i wasnt caught, but was close to it because when we drove off, there was a cop not too far away, heading towards the school!!!

I have had a strange experience at the Ellerbe School. It was dark, obviously, why go somewhere haunted during the day. I was there with my boyfriend at the time and I have always wanted to check out this school due to the stories I’ve heard from students at school and also the lack of evidence of the whole story. We had parked at the gate, and I had gotten out, my boyfriend was behind me, and I had stepped up onto a tire that was at the bottom of the gate, looking around, and noticed a white figure forming. I ignored it at first, taking a step up on the bottom railing of the gate, and looked in the same place and saw a second white figure forming. They were they height of children, and I stopped, slowly moved back and was ready to go. I still want to go into the school, and get more proof.

Ok…this is my story. My friend and I decided to go to the school a couple of years ago…it was on April of 2003. We went during the day because we wanted to take pictures… It was Her bf, her bro, her and I. We got there and parked down the road a little…right past the fence theres a dirt road and we turned and parked in there. The guys were chicken **** but we weren’t scared. We jumped the fence and were on the left side of the school…we ran across the field *of course dodging cow manure* and ducking behind lil bushes to hide from passing cars. We went in the entrance of the auditorium…we took a few pictures in there and even though it was about 5pm it was still a lil dark in there…*maybe cuz of all the satanic “paraphernelia” that was everywhere, then we went thru a few hallways and into the gym which is at the back. It wasn’t scary at all…just a little eerie and creepy. We walked into the gym and you can see the remnants of bleachers and theres all kinds of burned up wood amd a big hole in the center. I took a picture when a bird flew out through where the ceiling used to be *its pretty much gone* and we both screamed. We both looked at each other and laughed and thats when we heard the tiny giggles of children. lemme tell you how fast we ran out of there!! all the way to the car where the punks were sitting there waiting for us. we took a few more pictures at the front of the school & took them to wal-mart to get them developed. It wasn’t until we looked at the pictures that we really got chills. There in front of the school…right by the gate…right in front of where I was standing to take the pictures were two childlike white figures one a little shorter than the other. In another photo there was a childlike white figure *playing* peekaboo behind a post. Yeah…I’m getting chills right now just thinking about it…..

I was doing some research and I have found this site. My other half and myself had recently just moved to Shreveport, La. I have some older freinds that have live in La for about biggest part of their lifes here. On Saturday night May 13, 2006 a geoup (8 people) of us from the ages 16-54. I was told about this place and I am the type of person that has to see and hear it for myself before I will believe any thing. It was about 2:15 A.M. when we have gotten there. We was at the 2nd drive way the one farthest from the stone sign. When we was standing at the gate I have heard this faintess little voice that scream out HELP! Then followed by a scream. I looked over to my friend and she was looking back I told her to hush. THen I have heard it again, and after we heard it the second time it never happen again. We stared out in to the black shadows where you cant really see anything other then you can see to the right what I would say looks like the circel drive where the carport is. 3 of us climb over the fence and walked up to the school. I have gotten closer to the school building I thought that I saw another fence and that I have to climb over it cause it was so dark. When I have gotten closer to what I thought was a fence it was the actual school. Then walk closer to the middle of the school which I guess is the breeze way. We walk a few steps through it and I had this funny feeling and I just had to leave. It was like I had this hand on my shoulders. We have taken a few pictures. When we gotten back to the house we had pull the pictures off the camera. We started looking at some of the pictures and they had all kinds of faces in it. IT was very scary! After the chills of looking at them I wanted to do research on this school. Then I was talking to my sister and she and her husband wanted to see for their self, so they decided to drive down here from Arkansas. When they got here (reminding you that its the next night) this time it was around 11pm that we have gotten there and then 4 of us went in and we had 2 cameras and taken a bunch more pictures. We got the left side of the schools front and then went down through the breezeway and taken few picutres on both sides. We gotten down to the break between the 1st building until the next building. Which if I looked at the map it shows that if we went into the 2nd building it would be the auditorum. Which we never gotten into there. I guess we started to freak out and left. When we gotten back to the house we looked at some of the pics and blew them up. There was some things that was hair and tear raising. Several people that was looking at the pictures we saw several faces of clowns. Whcih was not any kind of drawings! Then I saw on of the classrooms when you are looking in threw the windows you see 2 black kids. One looks like they are trying to climb out the window and the other one you see a boy looking out the window. The next thing that we saw was a clowns face again. The next window you see looks like a older woman with her hair up in a bun looks like she is carring a small child in her hands. Look closer you see another woman and several kids. The are all in the light color of blue. Then I have another picture of my friend that was starting to climb back over the fence. Right before he had did that I said just for fun let me take a picture and just see if there is anything that just shows up? He said ok. When we looked at the picture you cant see nothing but pitch black. Then I saw just this blue dot behind he head. I have blown it up to a bigger side and behold what did we see was a clowns faces laughing at him. If there is anyone that would like to see some pics that I have taken and they have not been edited so you can see for yourself go ahead. THe 2nd time we was there I didnt hear or see nothing until we have gotten home. We have taken some picutres of the water tower it showed up on the camera but when we gotten home it was nothing but black.

I’ve been there about 6 or 7 times and I have never seen anything out of the ordinary. The last time I went some of my freinds and I climbed the water tower. You can see for miles from up there. I saw the lockers were pulled down in the floor and if I remember correct the gym floor was either burnt or rotted. I never had the cops come out but I have heard that they do watch it. I have also hear the stories about the guy who owns the land but I have never seen him. (thank goodness!) Keep in mind though that the last time I was there was probably around 1994. There was a curved wall that was made and sitting in the middle of a classroom. It had carpet on it. I thought that it was kind of weird. I don’t know if it is still there. I would like to know more accurate history on the school though. I think that there is a barn out back. I might have imagined it though thanks in part to Miller Lite. If you go looking for ghosts you will probably not get your wish. I’ve never seen or heard anything in all of the visits I have had.

I have been out there this past weekend June 9th, 2006 during the day.This would make it my 5th time with in a month. When we have gotten there to walk the ground and go all up in the school we have found that within a week they have placed a barb wire fence around the school. We gotten in and taken pictures of every thing. People had told me that there is a hole in the floor in the gym. We walked all in it and all I have seen it dirt. IF there was at one time some one must have filled it up years ago. Cause now there is weeds and grass growing in there. We went in each building and what was left of the rooms. Then we have walk the yard a good ways and didnt see nothing other than a rundown place. All there is in the back of the yard is cows and stuff for the cows and walk over by the water tower and didnt see nothing like a house or nothing. BUT not saying that he aint out there. casue from the school about a block there is a dirt road now there is a old house back there. So this house is not that far from the school. We taken pictures at night and there were a few things out there and the pictures that we taken during the day and we have seen things on there. It might not be things out there but there are things that we cant explain what it is. There is a web site on ellerbe road school called the last souls and they have my pictures there if you dare to gander at them….

Ok I am older now, but about 20 years ago, some of my friends and I ventured out to the school on a weekend night. It wasnt watched back then, like it is now. We were able to park in front of the school in the circle drive and we all dared each other to go in. As we approached the school I felt a dreadful feeling and we started to here voices. We didnt know if someone was in there or what and we didnt want to get caught. We had 3 cars with us and as we were getting ready to leave a weird thing happened. I had a two door little sports cars with a hatch back. Now this is in the early eighties when cars were made of heavier materials. The hatchback opened and closed with hydraulic lifts. Anyway, I heard screaming coming from behind my car, went I went to look my friend who was climbing into the hatch back had her hands slammed by the door and the door was completely closed. I had never had trouble out of it and the hydraulics were fine. I frantically searched for my keys and unlocked the lid of the hatchback. We checked her hands and luckily, I dont know how, but nothing seemed broken. I guess it landed just right, I dont know, but it was very strange and of course we got out of there as fast as we could. I have heard many many stories over the years, on June 6 2006, which alot of people feared because of the 06/06/06 date the school was heavily guarded by police to keep cults and so forth away from the school. Nothing was ever reported about anything that happened that night but it was a very dark and stormy night, weird huh?

I would like to see the pictures you all were talking about so if you can will you e-mail them to me.I went out there about 15 years ago and walked through the school. I did see abunch of demonic writings all over the wall and i walked through the gym and at the back of the gym was a door i opened and there really was a cement table and new blood dropings was on it. I really dont think its haunted. I just think at that time devil worshipers were doing there sacrafices of probably small animals,but if you have pictures i would like to see. Thurmanr02@aol.com

Okay…..this is my story!!! i have been 2 times not in the school (sitting in my friends truck) just looking at the school!!! it is so creepy looking that i almost pissed in my pants. i went out there with my boyfriend and friend and the very next day i went with my mom and grandmaw. nothing happened the day i was out there with my boyfriend and friend but it really look scary looking o yea and this was at around 9:30 pm!!! it was day time with my mom and grandmaw and still gave me the creeps!!! i have heard so many stories and the cow story i heard about it getting slaughtered frightens me!!! yea and everyone talks about how the police watches it yea they do!!! my boyfriend’s dad is a cop and has been out there so many times dealing with three murders. he told us to stay away from the school but we will go back out there one day and see if we take pictures if there are weird things in them….well thats my story!!! have fun peeps……..

the school is lame.. the only time i was scared was when we were driving there and it was a full moon.. and the moon looked like it was sitting on the school and it was blood red.. other than that… it sucked.. i went out there another full moon night.. and i hate scary places and i was the one leading my friends around.. idk.. it just didnt catch me… there is a place in rodessa.. its creepy.. 3 story school… you have to walk threw a cemetary to get to the hole in the fence to go into the gym… yall should check it out..

OK…..THIS IS MY STORY.
I HAVE BEEN QUITE A FEW TIMES ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE FIRST TIME WE WENT WE PARKED IN THE FRONT AND JUMPED THE GATE. WALKED IN THE SCHOOL. YES IT IS A LOT OF COW MANURE, GRAFITTI, COWS, OWLS, DIRT, ETC. NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY HAPPENED. IT WAS IN THE DAY AND WE WALKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. I DID SEE THE AUDITORIUM AND ALL THAT STUFF. WE DID GO TO THE GYM AND THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE FLOOR. AND EVEN SCARIER THERE WAS A NOOSE HANGING FROM UP TOP. (IT STILL HAD SORT OF A ROOF WHEN I WAS THERE) THERE WERE LOTS OF OWL HANGING AROUND TOO..WHEN WE GOT BACK OUT TO THE CAR THERE WAS THIS OLD WHITE MAN IN A PICKUP TRUCK THAT TOLD US TO LEAVE AND NOT TO COME BACK. THANK GOD HE DIDNT SHOOT.
ON ANOTHER OCCASION WE WENT AT NIGHT, AND I’LL BE HONEST, I WASNT GOING IN THERE THEN. IT WAS WAY TO DARK!
SO TO SUM IT UP, NOTHING TERRIBLY SCARY. JUST SPOOKY!
PEOPLE HAVE COME IN AND WROTE SOME PRETTY SCARY THINGS ON THE WALL…I REMEMBER ONE IN PARTICULAR “ARE YOU READY TO DIE?”

This was an old school that was no longer as “popular” as it was in it’s original days..therefore it was shut down. No one was killed there and no one disappeared there. There is nothing haunted about it. Other than some kids going out there and spray painting the walls and some so called devil worshipers…there is nothing to it. So, what is so scary about some spray painted writing on the walls of a closed down, run down school?

I can tell you stories about that school that would keep you up for weeks. Satanic rituals….ghost…lots of cows…..and a missing girl…have not been since 1994. Ohh yea and flying chairs.

A lot of people don’t believe in ghosts, and they also don’t realize that a place doesn’t have to be haunted due to the past happenings. If people really are hosting rituals of sorts within the school, that in itself can attract negative spirits to the area. I’m not saying that you have to believe in ghosts or what not, but it does make the experience that much better. Stay safe people…and learn your grammar. You guys are horrible. -sighs-

Hey,well as for the rest of you i do not really know if the things you all say about the school is true or not.However when my fiance and I went out there we went with our family and friends on some occasions.Anyways,this is what happened at Ellerbe School on our visit.The water tower that sets off either on the side or the back of the school is where my fiance heard kids playing on what we are guessing a old playground area.He heard swing chains and the sounds of the children at play.At this time his parents we’re both in the gym and the camera they had brought there with them turned off and would not work.There was a cold spot in the gym and after walking away from the cold spot the camera started working again.We took pictures of the inside of the school and in one of those pictures a face of a old man was seen and tons of orbs was also in the pictures.I was standing in the breezeway of the school and heard someone tapping on the side of the rails of the breezeway.My guess was probably a pencil or maybe a ruler was used for making the tapping sound behind me.When I turned around noone was there.Also you can hear the sound of a school bell this I was told about from my fiance’s brother and also from his mother as well.They both heard the bell of the school.You can hear someone walking behind you falling into every step you make but when you turn around to see who is there then you will find noone following you.There is water dripping from the top of the roof of the school without any signs of rain outside.No cops bothered us at any of our visits to the school and we used flashlights because there is a lot of debris on the grounds inside of the school.We seen no cows around the school grounds but we could hear some around the school areas.We know for a fact by the things we heard that Ellerbe School is for a fact without a doubt haunted.

This place is not Haunted. The scariest thing is when the police try to arrest you. I have been there on numerous occasions. Nothing ever happened. The school was a private school and shut down because it could not afford to stay open. Someone set fire to it years after it was closed down and thats why it is burnt down. Its amazing how many thing can be started with lieing. My mom also attended the school. If you want more info on the place just go check out old newpapers.

8 of us went out there friday night (oct 6th ‘06)around 11pm. we explored all the buildings. nothing at all out of the norm happened at all. if you do go, make sure you bring a flash light and i reccommend wearing boots if ya have them. actually, i reccommend not going at all-save your gas and time. it sucked.

me and my friends went there last night just bc we had nothing to do! i heard that it was an all black school and the kkk burnt it down yrs ago! no i dont believe that and thats why im trying to find history on this school. i read some of these comments and i want to go back and take pictures to see if the images in theses pictures really show up! i heard no screaming nor laughing except that of my friends! i was so scared to go in and it is scary just bc its dark and stories abt this place makes you think somethings watching you! other than that nobody from my group disappeared BUT there was another group of kids that were from texas that decided to go up there the same night we did and they wound up spilting up…i heard them say that they were going back in when we were leaving bc the other groups flashlight went out! i dont know if anything happened to them bc we didnt stay around to find out. im glad they were there though bc stupid us didnt think abt a flashlight, if not for them we wouldve been in complete darkness!

another thing there is writin on the wall that scared me too! we wnet yesterday like i said which was a saturday…we saw on the wall were someone had written “hope this isnt a saturday for you”…we also saw “watch out satan lives” & “you will die tonight” & “i will kill you all” that scared me just bc theres people out there that would put that!!! there was also somebodys clothes ut there like someone changed out there and left their stuff…a green t shirt white k-swiss and some blue jeans and underwear/boxers! thats pretty crazy if you ask me!

Hey, I live in Shreveport on Ellerbe Road and I had never heard this story before. However, I have heard some about the Red River and this old church tower outside of Bossier. The church burned down in the fire… but I wouldn’t put too much faith in that particular story because its been under renovation for a while now. I wonder what would happen if they tried to rebuild it….

All I’ve got is that…Well We went out there & we heard a girl cry/scream…It wasn’t reall loud..it was a light sound but we heard it more than once…& well when some of the building was the otuside tempature other rooms were very chilling & cold….Some of them were so cold that I could see my friend breath a few steps ahead of me…I definitely believe in the hauntings..Its pretty interesting but quite scarey…

Oh, and I have been to the school a.k.a “Satan School” and nothing happened. I don’t think it is haunted, but someone could easily get hurt since everything is falling apart. However, it is very creepy.

Me and my husband and my friend went a couple of months ago. we didnt get to see anything cause kids kept driving by and screaming out there cars. they would slow down so i was worried that they were going to do something to my car. we tried twice that night and every time some punk would drive by. we did see the cows (all alive though) and the place did look creepy. Go to Crossett Arkansas that place is cool.

First of all you can not go there around halloween because of cops and random kids running around. Go some random day that has no significance.

Second me and a few friends went a few years ago and I don’t care what anyone says or believes but that place isn’t right. We walked around looking at all the f^cked up **** people graffitied on the walls and saw that there was no one around. The moon was full, there were no clouds in the sky and there was no wind. As we ventured around we started hearing faint noises but couldn’t make out what it was or where it was coming from. Shortly after we heard the screams of a little girl or what sounded like one. She, it, or whatever was calling for help and repeated itself twice. It didn’t sound like any little girl I have ever heard before. It was f^cking eerie as hell. I would tell you that we tried to find where it was coming from but I’d be lieing. We ran our a$$ off. On the way out one of my friends tripped over something that was not there before. When I turned back to help him I saw that it was a dead cow that looked like it had been sacrificed and I will repeat myself when I say the cow was not there before.
Like I said before the place isn’t right. There is definetly something creepy there.

I can remember when the school closed. Soon after, it was vandalized. It sat there for years until the late 70s when satan worshipers found out it was there. All through the 80s it was used for rituals and other things. I went there many times and I never saw anything. We hung out there and drank beer back in the mid 70’s. A farmer owns it now and his cows are all in it. If he shoots anyone he will go to jail for life. You can’t shoot just because someone is trespassing, they have to be in your home before you can get away with it here in Louisiana. The real haunted spot out there is at the crossroads. There was a town there once, going west on 175 from the intersection down to that old church.(which is all thats left of the town) At the crossroads, on the northwest corner, there was a huge oak tree where many slaves were hung. If you want to see an apparition, hang out at the crossroads on some Saturday night. You better not be looking off because you’ll miss it. I’ve seen it many times, standing there where the tree once was. Just a glowing figure waiting for something or someone. Remember, when you go there, you’re where many have been before.

My best friend, cousin, her boyfriend, and I went to the school the other night. It was definitely creepy for them. My cousin and I did NOT get out of the truck. Anyway, they saw a glowing figure in a doorway. However, they didn’t stick around long enough to investigate it. So we don’t really know if it was truly real or not. The both feel that it was. Maybe oneday I will get enough nerve to go inside.

listen everyone… there is nothing out there but an old school… yeah i heard all the stories just like all of you, thing is i’m into this kinda stuff so me and my friends made regular trips to that school.. creepy looking yes, but ghost ridden, no - i’ve been all over that school during the day and night, we camped out right there in the auditorium on the old stage, that’s about all that’s left of the original building other than the walls still holding up parts of the roof… if you don’t believe me go see for yourselves.. and if you believe that story, do your research, there are no stories of any children disapearing anywhere out near Elerbe and definitely no freak’n janitor or anyone else.. the school had $$ problems and had to close, shortly after some people broke into the gym and started a fire.. yes there was talk of witchcraft and animal sacrifices, but i’ve been there and the worst i saw was the grafiti left by punk kids trying to scare the **** out of their friends…

not that i don’t believe in the paranormal - i do.. very much so, but it aint out there people.. now if you wanna discuss more … let me know i’d be glad to share my knowledge of local folklore,,,i’m into it man!

The only screaming I heard was the girls that I came with..Nothing is spooky about it except how dark it is and the cows/bulls roaming through it..It’s fun to feel afraid and act upon the fear, but the place itself is just an old building with a ton of graffiti

Okay, I know all of you have heard the stories, rumors etc. I have heard pretty much every story there is out there about the school. A lot of people have a lot of stupid improbable **** that they claim to have experienced. I don’t believe most of it. I have been to the school many times and never experienced a thing. Tonight, however, was different. See, I’m very psychically sensitive, what my boyfriend calls an “empath.” I believe that is why what happened happened to me rather than one of the four others I was with. Today is my birthday and we decided to go out and find something to do. We went out to the dam for a while, but that got boring. So I, being the big mouth that I am, say “Hey, Ellerbe School is right down the road. Wanna go check it out?” So off we go. We get to the school as two other cars are pulling up. My boyfriend and another friend get out and go up to them to ask if they are going to check out the school as well. Being the idiots that they are, they walk up and say “What are y’all doing out here?” I guess the kids thought they owned the property or something, because they took off. We climbed over the gate and through the barbed wire around the buildings (which is new, by the way, probably to keep the cows out) and make our way to the back of the school. Someone decides to go check out the gym first. We walk in and the others start looking around, exploring the stage and locker rooms. I, having been there frequently, just stand near a wall and watch as my boyfriend throws things over the crumbling walls trying to scare the other three, who haven’t been there before. Suddenly I feel something around my neck and pulling my hair and I’m slammed against the wall I am standing in front of. I don’t really freak out since things like that happen to me a lot when I visit “haunted” places. So I simply right myself and tell the other two that are in the room with me that we need to leave. We start walking down the breezeway and yelling at the other two guys, still in the locker room, that we need to leave. The entire way down the breezeway, whatever is there keeps grabbing my hair and yanking my head back. The girl that was with us was holding my hand and praying the netire time. Even with me teliing her to shut up because that seemed to be making it worse. We didn’t hear any screams or anything like that. Just something pulling my hair. I don’t know what it was and I never really believed that place was haunted, because there really isn’t any reason for it to be. There was no crazy janitor, the school didn’t burn down, and no children were molested or murdered there. It was a school for the farmers’ kids and it shut down because of low funding. The fire was a small electrical fire that occured after the school closed. I don’t know what was there but it apparently wanted us out. Being the stupid kids we are, though, we plan to go back and check out the rest of the school. This time with flashlights. If anyone wants directions or whatever, feel free to e-mail me. I went on 12-28-06 with a sister & 3 friends we got there about 4pm & left about 5:30pm. But, however this place does have some activity. We didn’t have anything bad happen though. We did hear the little cry, a few moans, & a scream. We (my sister & I) did voice recordings & my sister & I took pictures. I’ve got a few with demonic faces & so on. There are a few distorted voices on the recordings. Anyway, the cops are bad. I never saw any cows, but did see loads of cows bones & manure. My sister & 1 friend went to the water tower, but they didn’t climb up. We weren’t there long enough to cover to whole ground. But, did cover most of it. We saw lots of spray painted sayings like, “Help me please he’s trying to kill me - I’m hiding.” & “He can’t be stopped.” And on one of the walls said Bodies with an arrow pointing into a room behind the gym. Well, this what we had pappen to us. We do plan to go back, not sure when it’ll be. But, we will go back. Please be safe & use common sense if you plan to go. Take Care, JenLea

First I have been there and nothing happened to me or the people I was with at the time. We went several times about 8-9 years ago. Two I am also an empath. I felt like I was being watch and I did feel the presence of children and adults there. We did get busted one time. We had made it to the cars and the police officer pulled up. We told him that one of the cars had over heated and we were looking for a house to get some water. He let us off with a warning. Anyway, this place is haunted. Nothing ever happened when this school was opened. That rumor is false. You also have to think. How long has that land been there? It just happens that this school was built on or near a place where women and children had died or had been murdered. Another thing, George Washington Carver School aka Ellerbe Road School closed after the scools where intergrated in the 60’s. I got this tid bit of information from persons that were going to school and had children in school when it closed. Also check with the school board. Going there is stupid and illegal. You can be arrested and spend time in jail. You have been warned. It is for your saftey that the police patrol that area. It is dangerous in there. The wall and celing have asbestos(sp?)in them which can make you very sick by breathing it into your lungs. There is alot of debris there and you can be seriously injured. The farmer is not reliable for any medical expenses since you were trespassing. He could also have you arrested for suspected cattle rustling (theft) which is punishable by 6 months or more in jail and a hefty fine. And yes people still steal cattle in this day and age. You have been warned.

Okay, so I am not from LA. I moved here from Colorado and went out to the school last night with a few of my friends from around here. We were just bored and looking for something to do at about 4 am. As far as getting there, I definitely recommend having at least half a tank of gas in a truck/suv…you just drive for like 20 minutes down Ellerbe road to get down there. We were lucky enough not to have had the cops or the owner show up at that time.

I have always been a bit sensitive about places, and just got a very bad feeling about the place. We parked at the gate and walked up, and I only got as far as outside of the Gym or auditorium, I started shaking and went back to the car. Other than that, nothing really happened. I have had that happen at places before though, not necessarily hauntings though. What I have found/belive I guess, is that certain places like schools, hotels, and churchs often have a strange energy to them because of the ammount of people who were there when they were open. When you have that many people in a place it start to get a bit jumbled.

I am not sure whether anything bad happened there or not, I found this site while looking for what I can find. So far all I have found was that it started as a segregated school, then was closed and bought by a church of some sort, that turned it into a college and then ran into some financial problems. I have found some of the stories about sacrifices and what not as well. The only thing I can say about that is people should be very careful getting into things they don’t understand.

My advice, if you’re curious about the school, check it out. Be careful going in, it’s very dangerous from what I’ve seen, and like other people have said, illeagal.

the school is not haunted but has been a gathering ground for some sick people.there have been murders out there.a cop was found with an ax in his head after the farmer called the police to report tresspassing.this was back in 89 so do your research correctly before you get on here and tell these kids it’s safe out there.the farmer did start shooting at people after that because i was one of them lol girls have been raped out there and kid’s have been beaten up badly and put in icu by other kids.it’s not safe out there so don’t go.

i live in Shreveport too and all i have to say is that most of you need to go to “skool” and its not the one on Ellerbe Road. I have never in my life seen so many spelling errors! I could barely keep up with the stories because i was laughing so hard at the “creative” ways you spell, and thats not even mentioning the use of ebonics! I was soo bored in that city when I noticed that I should probably go and visit the school. I walked in and saw wet blood dripping from the ceiling. There were noises of kids saying that they wont hurt him and they want to go home. I used to go to that school and my best friend Angel was mad at me and she never wanted to see me angain. I hated her until the day she died. She was stollen by an evil spirit. I had dreams of her of who she could have been today. I now feel soo bad that I was ever mad at her. Nicole sorry to say but it would have sound true if you used better grammar becuase i could hardly understand your story myself, plus you stopped too soon, did she ever show up? did they ever find the body? was it ever on the news?

Anyway even though Nothing REALLY happend to me while i was there 2 years ago i do believe some of the things that people say happend there, i mean it can’t happen to every single person who goes there, some people are just different and it doesnt mean that that Mysterious force in the school dosent exist.

I went there with a friend around 4pm and it was fixing to rain. i saw a very wierd plant while i hopped the fence ( i cant bleieve i didnt think to take a picture!!) i had a digital camera with me and the only thing that i was terrorfied of was that old grumpy farm guy becuase i heard a he pointed a shotgun in a guy’s face telling him to get off the property.

okay so we hopped the fince and the first place we went to was the of course the first building that you see, we didnt see or hear anything but i took a bunch of pictures. We got to the lunch room i REMEMBER putting the digital camera in the window way of the double doors and took one picture of that room. we were going to head down the breezeway but my friend’s dad blew his horn which was NOT a good idea! we ran back the way we came and quickly hop the fence.

The last time my friend went there she said as soon as she was getting ready to leave she could have sworn someone called her name, but she said it may have been the cows who were making noise.

At last my digital camera, at the time i didnt know how to operate it and i heard that ALOT of people’s pictures never get to print out or develop really well or not at all. so at the time i didnt know how to delete pictures off my camera trust me on that! i found that the lunch room photo was never there, ALOT of my pictures were gone and i couldnt explain why. i asked my dad if this camera could delete things by itself and he said no, plus it takes alot to delete you have to turn the **** then press another button then chose which pictures to delete.

we would have gone to the gym but there were two dogs running arond down there and if they saw us they probaly would have barked and that guy would have came out.

The storeies are true about the kids being killed. but you will not find anything in the school. you will find it in the woods out back. Go thru the gates until you see the open field, in the back is a trail that leads to the shed were the kids died. the stains can be seen on the walls and at the right time, you can hear them playing. a few nights ago me, my boyfriend, and my two brothers went to the old school it was scary and i was really freaked out….we walked around for about 45 mins not seeing a thing we even all got in the middle of the gym and just stood the being quite to see if anything would happen…..nothing happened now thats not me saying thats its not real but i didnt see or hear anything……..

Alright people, let me give you the story behind the school. My family owns the property and I have shot at stupid teenagers that come on to the land. The school was abandoned back in the early 1980’s because of redistricting, if you drive around Louisiana you will find a lot of similar situations. Anyways, some dumb asses thought it would be a great idea to worship the occult. That’s where the graffiti comes from and the whole haunted ****. They were there for only two nights, mostly doing some heavy drugs, when they were arrested. My uncle shot one of the trespassers in the leg. The whole devil **** came from the fact that they were all taking acid and were hallunating. So if you go there all you’re going to do is get some good shoes dirty, shot at and arrested.

Creepy: I came across this site, unable to sleep after my husband told me about the hounted house he grew up in down in Marksville, LA. I grew up in Shreveport–in a house only haunted by my creeped-out family–and we knew about the Old Ellerbe Road School–or Church? or Tower? or Farm?–in the late seventies and early eighties. We tried to find it several times but never did, probably because like you teenagers we were drunk or tripping or both. So, the story is pretty old, at least as old as when I tried to find it, sometime between 77-79. Now, it seems to me that if we were hearing about it back then, there could be something in it. I don’t really see how it could be tied to integration, because I was in 2nd grade at A. C. Steere when we were integrated, so that would put the closing at around 1969 or ‘70 maybe. Does a place get a reputation for being haunted that quickly? I suppose it could, if people disappeared or were murdered there. By the way, do check out the haunting out on “OLD” Sligo Road. Sorry, not much info from me on Ellerbe, but I do remember it from way back then, and it was known to be haunted, and though I don’t remember by what or whom, it was a ghost and not “satan worshippers”–whatever that term means. I mean, do evil people bother with “worship”? Sounds like a waste of good evil-doing time to me . . . Anyway, it’s good to hear that the kids are still out there looking for ghosts and getting picked up by the cops. Remember, it’s haunted if you SAY it’s haunted. Have fun, kids. C. E. Look, I can’t stand these stupid assed ******** stories about the old Ellerbe Road School anymore. I grew up in Shreveport; know the whole area by heart. No police officer EVER was found dead with an ax in his head. Do you wish to scare yourself? Go right ahead believe this ********. It is your right, but don’t keep the old janitor/missing kids, crazy janitor/burned kids in auditorium stories going because IT NEVER HAPPENED, ******** lies and rumors somebody started back in the day when I was about 10-12 years old in the 70’s. The fire happened LONG after the school was vacated. Back in the day, I went out there on many occasions, the dam area, the water tower, blah, blah. Back then, you could drive right up to the front, no fences. It was gross and filthy back then, and yes, so was that “scary satanic graffiti”. It’s all been there a LONG time folks. Yes, it seems scary, I haven’t been out there for at least 10-12 years now, it WAS CREEPY, dark, and smelled musty and pissy 20-25 years ago, but no spooks are/were out there, now or then.
Back in 1986 when Haley’s comet could be seen and I remember one of the colleges (LSUS I think) had set up a REALLY powerful telescope out there because it was so dark out that way. If you were willing to stand in line for 2 hours, then you could look at it for a couple of minutes. I know because I was there!
I can TELL YOU that the school was never a private school. The truth is it was a “n word” school when I grew up (back when one could say “n word” without causing everybody to get a stick up their ***, like they didn’t say it either, but that is another story) Get over it, like it or not I could care less, the truth is the truth. No I do NOT hate blacks, I am simply making a true statement that the word was not “horrible” to use back then. We are all just so politically correct these days aren’t we? That is off subject though, just telling you the truth as what the school was known as.
You are all so damn gullible. The “empaths” make me want to puke. Oh, and the “sensitives”. If they really were “sensitive” then they would have enough SENSE than to wander around manure infested, trash filled dark school looking for something that is NOT out there! I KNOW haunted, I know there are REAL scary places but this old shell of a school isn’t where SCARY is. Creepy yes, haunted no. Private property yes, haunted no.
Satanic cults are full of outcasts and goofs who hate on everybody and come together so they’ll feel better about being squirrels and goofs and “wannabes”. Their cults are so they can “get back” at everybody they hate. They are full of **** too. In addition, so you younger ones will just know in general, the “satanic” graffiti ******** was “cool” to do in the early 70’s maybe before that even. I just read the “Charming”, or is it “Charmed” One’s comment. As I wrote before, I was a teenager in the 70’s and we went out there to the old school. We also went out the old Pea Farm when all the buildings and the water tower were still there. There was no fence at it either. The Ellerbe School was always, like any other abandoned building, a place for kids to hang out. It was later on that it became “haunted”. I have a picture of the school at night from the road and you can see a few orbs in it. This is where the blue clown comes from. Alot of orbs look like they have a smiling face. Like I said, the real haunted area out there is at the crossroads of Ellerbe and 175, at the blinking light. This is where a town once was. Those storage buildings next to the old church on down 175 West are a little that remain of it too. There was a huge dead tree, which I presume was an Oak or Pecan, (being dead for many years it’s sometimes hard to tell) at that crossroads on the northeast side. This was, as told to me by an old black man that lived down from the place, where “bad” slaves were hung along with a few others as well. If you know the story of Robert Johnson(delta bluesman)you know all about crossroads. I sat there many a night watching that intersection and finally I saw what I came to see. Standing on the northwest corner where the rotted tree trunk still stood was the figure of a large man surrounded by a bluish-white halo or glow. We watched him for a few seconds and he dissapeared into the cotton. I started the car and slammed it into gear and headed east on 175 out to Highyway 1 past the observatory. We went back there alot more times and on a few nights witnessed the same thing. I had been taken up by the story of Robert Johnson and to us this was our “crossroads”. Another very disturbing event took place there in the early 90s that involved what looked like an apparent demonic possession that almost resulted in a murder. I can’t comment too much on this due to family ties. I know this is not about the school but that entire area is veiled in darkness. Ever drive past there and see those big black dogs just standing there starring at you? Some of you won’t believe any of this but sometimes if you go too far into the dark side you can’t get out. It takes a permanent piece of your soul away, if not all of it. Oh, by the way, I passed the old school at dusk dark last week and a sherrif’s deputy was sitting right down from it on an oilfield road. I thought about all you guys on here.

First to Drake, I do agree with you it is the “area”. You should also post your experience on this website where you can add the actual locations of haunted places, then more people may see it and be able to add their own experience to yours. Your comment is so buried into the Ellerbe school post that if one were looking for it they may not find it.

To you and anyone else, I did have an experience quite close to that area. Here is what happened one October years ago, the early 80s, it was my Mama, my older sister and I. My Daddy worked evenings at that time and my older brother was who knows where. We were looking for a real thrill on one October night (we were in the mood since Halloween was a few weeks away, though not thinking we’d actually find or see anything), and drove way out to the boonies around the exact area you are speaking of. Unexplainable “things” did not normally easily freak us out. I’d like to make that clear right off. Before we got out that far where you are talking about, things got very oddly quiet and fog came out of nowhere, FAST (all at once), I truly mean SUDDENLY all three of us at the same time, after we all separately acknowledged the it was all WRONG FEELING; we drove away OPPOSITE from the whole area VERY quickly! Just as quickly as the hair on our heads and necks were crawling and we all 3 had chills, as we were further away from “it” it all ceased (if you’re from Shreveport then you know it does NOT ever get cold/chilly in October). Something was in that weird fog, it didn’t even look like “normal” fog and it rolled in surrounding our car just too fast to be natural, not to mention the dead silence. We were quite shaken up for several days, as we all seem to KNOW when “something’s” not right.

Anyway, your post on the area is much more detailed and interesting. I again suggest you make a separate post under your own heading. I do also know the approximate area you are referring to (I haven’t been out that way for many years due to our own experience, plus I no longer live in Shreveport though much of my family and many of my friends are still there). I am now the Mommy of 3 sons aged from just turned 11 years, 9 ½ years and our youngest is 5 years old. ( I didn’t get started having children until my early 30s) They all LOVE a good spook story, and when they get older, they will want to visit scary places as I did/do. There IS a difference between GOOD and BAD energies. I don’t claim to be a “sensitive” or “psychic”, I feel it is quite narcissistic to state those types of things. I am just saying that there is a difference between GOOD and BAD energies, like that night we felt it was WRONG out there! Before that we were laughing and having a blast until we seemed to “cross a line” where the silence was awful, no crickets, frogs, night owls NOTHING.

Oh, In my teens, I was “chased” by a large black dog with orange/red eyes he was gaining on me and then he just disappeared! That is why I really freaked after not having thought of that incident in many years and I got “the chills” just reading about those dogs you were writing about. Though the circumstances were different, the description was quite similar.

I know I sounded like a jerk when I 1st posted, but after reading down over 100 postings and some were just not even clear enough to understand what they were saying, AND the pure LIES of the history as well as passing on old made up rumors about it. I like to keep it real and mature, not all of the **** that was getting thrown on this post and especially the made up bull****, that people were just getting sucked up into and actually BELIEVING!. There are other websites for made-up stories. I feel like there are enough REAL scary things out there to tell, without spreading rumors that just aren’t true. On top of the made-up lies that one could or SHOULD be able to tell that they were just pretend stories, especially the one from some immature girl thinking they were scaring the **** out of people, about her missing FRIEND, that was probably sitting next to her at the computer helping her make up the ****, GROW UP! If you want to make it up then just go to sites where they welcome made up stories and then people may just like it.

I truly am not a jerk, though as a parent of three very young boys, that the spelling and English references is just scary in my book, (not just on this site) as some of them truly don’t seem to even care to spell correctly. I also realize that it isn’t my job to police the grammar errors. Np I’m not an English major, far from it. It is just called have a little pride people! Pick up an OLD FASHIONED dictionary and LOOK IT UP! What is scary is if you think about it they probably DON’T even KNOW HOW TO look a word up in the dictionary. Anyway, I’m not a jerk.

To anyone who still lives in that area, check out where the old town of Caspiana was way out on Hwy.1 (starts out as Youree Drive which is La. Hwy. 1 going south) there was once a plantation that no longer stands that supposedly has activity out there. My Grandma mentioned it once, but she has been passed away since 1979, and then I was interested but still couldn’t drive. Later on, nobody would go with me as they were too scared. That is an area I never got to explore but wanted too. No telling what has changed out there in the many years since I heard of it. Does anybody know of it?

I am NOT speaking of the pecan station to where (or used to could) buy pecans out on Hwy. 1.

Hey Charmed One, it’s great you responded to my entry. I have written to several sites with this story and none responded. Thinking of starting a new one and editing it myself before the post are made public. Like you, I can tell when it’s just kids making up ****. I do remember something about Caspiana but I’ll have to ask my sister, the memory of the family lol. I have a son 21 and you usually loose some facualties raising kids. This you will find out. I’m 48 now and have been involved in the spiritual realms for many years. I weed out the garbage and stick to the repeat stories which if told intelligently and are close to the same every time are usually worth looking in to. Maybe we can get a site or a blog page up and running on REAL supernatural and paranormal events in this area. There is one site called Haunted Louisiana but they won’t respond to my e-mails. Alot of their stuff is false and confused. Some local women have also started a walking ghost tour of Downtown Shreveport and alot of their info is incorrect too. As to that fog. Was it sorta black? I went to the school several years ago. We had an experience at the end of the trip of hearing the soft sound of a girls voice. We were freaked out by the and took off running. I don’t know if we heard because we were looking for something to happen or it was real. anyway, I wanted to hear fromthe person that posted about Sligo Rd. We went ot the school and my freind never came back to the car. we waitde for almost a hour but he never came back. Then we heard him screem from in the school somwewhere. He musta been murdered or sumpin cause we never saw him anymore. I will not ever go back there again. He was my good freind to. It was at night to.

dude this school is like so freaky ive never gone in it just because im a chicken i dont care that school scared the **** out of me.all we did was drive bye it and i had a bad feeling about it rite from the start.i saw garfitti and like alive and dead cows. ughh im never going back there again. they say that , that little shack in the back of the school was were the janitor would take little kids and mallaste them. oh and they did not disappear from looking for the janitor there was a misterious fire that killed about 7 kids it sad.but i guess it was there time to go.

Ok, first of all, ya’ll are all really stupid. those people that go into the school and kill the cows or whatever. ya’ll need to go get help bc ya’ll have mental problams MAJOR!!The blood is from idiots that go kill cows and wipe blood all over the place. the noises are probably from other idiots trying to scare people. and the owner, (which i think this is the only thing ya’ll got write from the story) really will shoot you, but it’s only salt rock. and yes he does have the right to shoot ya’ll if you go on his property. the rumor was probably made up so idiots like ya’ll wouldn’t go on there, but still sick, demented stupid ppl have to go on the property, and kill cows and make a spectacle of your selves. the whole in the floor is bc the wood in the room got week, and probably some dumb@ss went in there and fell through it. there is no such thing as ghosts, however if i was one i would make damb sure that no one made it out of the school. So maybe this message will put some sense into your heads. and i’m glad that the cops are there bc i think we need ppl off the streets that think killing animals is cool. and oh if that was my property. i would use reall bullets. and leave ya’ll there after i shot ya’ll butts, and let the spirits get you. like the idiots deserve. I’d love to see it for myself, but I have no idea where the school is located. Ok First of all No one ever dissappeared from that school! I am from Shreveport! The school burnt down and it had been closed for years before that. No one died in the fire either. Now, the school is scary and it might be haunted but I think it from Devil worshipers. They like to hang out there and do weird stuff. There are weird paintings and words all over the walls. I have actually went to the school in day time and at night. During the day we made it quick because it is private property and the owner will shoot you for tresspassing. Normally its him that people hear. As for night time I was so scared! Mainly because it is dark and creepy. I could hear cows mooing, but no kid screams! It did feel like something was watching us and following us. I never saw anything but it was scary! I had a friend I meet after I went I never told him about my experience till one day we were talking about scary stuff. He said he went and felt the same way. We both could hear something on top of them ceiling like it was rolling around but it only did it when we were walking, If we stoped it stoped. He also said that he saw a cow with red eyes which is the same thing another one of my friends saw but I did not. The weird thing is my friend is from texas and he did not know any of my other friends but yet all are stories were the same! the elerbe thing is so real! me and all 7 of my brothers went out to elerbe cause we live like 2 miles away and we took our camera to film and the camera has never worked sence. like the camera will just flip on for no reason or it will show clips of things from like the 1980’s and we have no idea whats going on with it. theres also a legand that on teh train tracks by elerbe school that a bus driver went crazy and parked the bus on the tracks with the kids on it and they all died and if you put flour on your car and park on the train tracks the lil kids will push you over the train tracks. well we didnt feel any thing move is when we got on the train tracks but when we got home we had hand prints all over the car! like 6 fingered hand prints and baby hand prints and a really mutated hand print that looked like it got ran over. it was soo freaky!

Just go south on Line AVE.(same road BYRD HIGH SCHOOL is on ).Line AVE. turns into Elerbe RD. south of Bertcouns Innerloop ,keep going straight south past Wallace Lake Dam you will eventually see the school about 5 to 8 miles from civilization.

Well I have never been to Ellerbe Road before…but some students at my school were saying that it was haunted because the principal had called all the students and staff to the gym or auditorium and he chained all the doors and the people were asking him what he was doing and he snatched open his shirt and had alot of bombs attached to him and the people went crazy in the building then the school blew up……..IS THAT TRUE???…..or IS IT A MYTH?

It just keeps gettin’ better and better! lol Nothin’ like that ever happened there. Nothin’ ever happened there at all. They just closed the school because they didn’t have enough kids to keep it open who lived in that area. There was no janitor or principle or maniac teacher or axe murderer or nothin else. It’s just an old abandoned school that needs to be torn down and probably soon will be. The owner of the land has never shot anyone or never will, he just calls the sheriff dept. to come out and arrest or run you off he catches you inside the fence. He has cows out there and they cost money to raise and feed and he doesn’t want a bunch of dumb@ss kids getting hurt or his cows getting hurt either. You might see a killer squirrel or a really mean rabbit though.

I was out at the school last week and I saw a clown with his head missing. He had a big mean smile on his face and was carrying a rubber baseball bat! I went on in the school and the landowner saw me. He shot me with a super soaker full of red koolaid. It looked just like blood from a hampster. It was real scary. My friend cut her hand on a broken window she was trying to jump out of when she saw the clowns face. The window was only from one room to another so she really didn’t go anywhere by doing all that. She got a disease from the window and is really sick. They say she has schoolatosis Ellerbe-itis. That’s a real bad one they say. They say the only way to get rid of it is to go back to the school and look for screaming ghost kids that will push your car for you if you run out of gas or you get a deer hung in your fanbelt. I might try the other thing and they say that’s to climb the water tower and shoot orbs with a paintball gun and let them fall on her. She has to be wearing a Brittney Spears mask for any of this to work and the lips have to move before her talking does. Oh well, I guess no one will believe this but it’s true.

My brother took me to Ellerbe Road school. It is real. We heard children screaming and we saw pencils moving on the desks. It was freeky. We also noticed that when we first passed by there was no paper on the desks, but the second time we went by, there was papers and pencils and pens. It is very real and very scary. Great place to go for halloween!!

i went to this school in 1977 and dont go there anymore because of a fire this house is in no way haunted,the name of the school was agnew!good try everyone

When i went out there…it was about 10 or 11 yrs ago and i went with like 15 people…everything was ok I mean yeah it was scary and it didnt help the fact that the guys we were with were scaring the **** out of us either….
I didnt hear anything at all but i was really freaked out…we walked down the hallways….past all the classrooms and with all the lockers and wired hanging off the walls it almost gave you this really earie feeling like you were in a freddie crougar movie or somthing…in a really badd dream….the classrooms looked really scary….
I remember seeing this painting of a grand reaper…and it said enter here enter hell forever…
and of course i did not enter…we also went into the auditorium which was freaky…
I would have to say it was what happened after the fact of me going there that got to me….i was on my way to Haughton about 5:30 am in the morning and on my way there going down highway 80,,,this really weird feeling came over me….I looked in my rearview mirror,, and i saw this devil looking demon thing in the back seat of my car…it was like laughing at me…kinda hovering at towards me… i floored the gas pedel all the way down…til i got to where i had to go…also the moon was like a really sharp sliver and it seemed like the closer i got to my destination the closer i was getting to the moon… or the moon was coming towards me….anywaz if anyone has ever seen the play HEAVENS GATES AND ***** FLAMES… the demon looked like the devil from that play…it was soooo scary THAT IS WHY I THINK THAT PEOPLE SHOULDNT PLAY WITH STUFF LIKE THAT BECASUE IT IS SOOO REAL AND I BELIEVE THAT SPIRITS CAN FOLLOW YOU….
I HAVE SEEN OTHER THINGS TOO…I HAVENT BEEN TO ELLERBE SINCE THEN…. WHO KNOWS I MIGHT GO BACK ONE DAY I DONT KNOW….
