Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Old Elerbe Road School

Shreveport, Louisiana

This former school was closed due to the disappearances of several people, one being a beloved janitor. When the children went to look for him, they too disappeared–one by one. All that remains is a building in which all the lockers have been knocked out; in their place is a mural of the grim reaper. At night, one may hear the screams of children and the sound of a school bell.

IT’S DEFINATELY REAL!!!!! Me and some friends went out there several years ago and I didn’t believe the stories myself until I experienced them. We went into what a girlfriend of mine called the altar and the door slammed shut, the only way out was this tiny opening at the bottom of the wall. If I had been any bigger I would have been stuck in there until what ever closed the door decided to let me out or whatever it may have been wanting to do. Before the door closed I had touched the stone table and it was very hot to the touch leaving scars on my hands from touching it. Once we got out of the “altar room” we then went to the gym where it felt as though somebody was watching over us. I never actually seen anything in that room, but I know that we were not alone. It wasnt very long after proceeding to the hallway where the lockers are knocked down that we all began to hear screams and seen something black moving in the shadows towards us very rapidly. This definately scared the mess out of all of us and we began running back to our car. Whatever or whoever that was definately didn’t want us there and we could hear it running behind us all the way to the car. We drove as fast as we could and as we got to the crossing where the tracks are our car nearly wrecked. We then looked up and the moon had a cloud that resembled the shape of a goats head around it. I will never return to the school ever again. I dont know what or who that was or why they are there but they definately dont want to be disturbed. SCEPTICS BEWARE

Its true. I have been and its definately one of the spookiest places ive ever been. I went out there around midnight and saw shadows, heard voices, and even found dried blood on the walls. We ran out so scared! Me, my b-friend, and this guy got into his car only to find trouble as the fan belt had broken and I had to take off my pantyhose to let him use them for a fan belt. I’ll go back but when I can get enough nerve.

I went one time just recently… the stories that i heard were much similar but also different…i have heard that an old man owns all of that land now and keeps his cows out there..i have heard that if he catches someone out there he will start shooting no matter who you are…you are on his property and he has the right… and my friends went out there i like scary stuff well as we got there, we started walkin in there, we had a big spot and my friend ashley came back bc it looked scary i finally went in and there was only cows and cow sure the dried blood that yall talk about is from the cows..i didnt go into many places in there bc i wanted to get out…wasnt that scart just dark..for a note: If you do decide to go there, watch out bc the police are bad and only bring a little flash light bc the school has no roof and the police can easily see a flash light from the road…Have fun!!!

I went to the school last night… there is not only that one lone building that the intro paragraph talks about, but there five (I believe) buildings. One was a cafeteria, one was a gym, another an auditorium, and the last two being classrooms. There was also a small building out by the water tower, both being offset from the school by fifty yards, I think it was a circuit room. There was no STONE ALTAR, it was a stage made mostly out of concrete and it had decomposed remnants of wood flooring covering the top of it. Also, if you can’t get through the random rectangular holes along the bottoms of the walls, than you must be really effing fat. Also, there are many completely busted out windows that are more than an ample size for someone of normal size to go through quickly. We saw no dead cows (though there were many live ones, all rather stupid and skittish), nothing scary happened (although we did scare some really retarded redneck kids from Byrd High School), no dried blood on the walls (just lots of graffiti), and there were no psycho hobos inhabiting the school.

So, basically, nothing scary happened. I seriously recommend that you bring flashlights, and don’t freak out if your cell phone gets no signal because remember, you are waaaaaay out in the boonies. I also say that you should wear shoes to run in, ladies, that means NO HEELS. Shoes that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty, because there is mucho cow manure in the school. If you hear a car coming (you can hear them coming way before they can see the school) you should turn your flashlights because the cops do watch that area. DO NOT park in front of the place, we parked a mile or two down the road, way back on a plant road, so that our cars were hidden from view. Also, use the bathroom before you go…

Write my email and if anyone has any idea of what the school looks like and as much detail as you can. I mainly need to know what the school looked like in 1994 or maybe after wards. Write me immediately about this!
Label it: “Old Ellerbe 1994.”

Hey, I’ve been there before. It was really close or right after Halloween. It’s really not that bad. What the mind percieves, the body believes. I do think there may be some type of “existance” out there, but I’ve also found nothing at all. Sometimes, it FEELS very eerie, but nothing usually happens. If you know where Bert Kouns and 1-49 is, then your somewhat close. It’s easy after this. Get to wallace lake road. Go down and you’ll pass up the little car dealership and B&J flooring. After this proceed to the stop sign. This is Wallace Lake Rd. and Flourney Lucas Rd. Go left and then you will go over some train tracks (this is the site of the forbing woods ghost as well). Keep going until you see the intersection. At the red light (could be green), go right and THIS is ELLERBE ROAD. You will have to drive many miles. Really, about 20 minutes or so. You’ll come up on a red or yellow flashing light way out there and just keep driving. Some ways up the road you WILL see it on the right hand side. There ya go!! Oh by the way, the view on top of the school is pretty cool…. I pee’d there once…HA! Good luck!

I have been there. There was some stuff that freaked me out, but nothing really that would make me think that there was an angry spirit in there. I think they are just looking for a way out….. Does anyone know why the people went missing anyway? I have heard alot of different stories but none that have ever really made that much since.

the story posted on this site is not the real story.
i dont know where they came up with somethin so stupid, but thats not what happened. the school was burnt down by the janitor, with all the kids in the auditorium. anything else is false information.

ive witnessed a disaperence. me and my friend said people lie and try to scare you. we werent scared until we got to the school. then we got a little terrified! we heard screaming a kids in the classrooms, in the gym, in the autotoriam and in the halways. we walked through the hallways and the door slamed shut! we screamed a when we were done screaming the kids screamed louder! we saw lines of blood on the walls and saw holes under the walls. we held hands as we walked over all the lockers on the floor. first we went to the gym and saw black shadow shaped of a person pointing to the door that lead back outside. we ran out of the gym and then went to the autotoriom. Now as we went int the we saw a janitor with blood all ove him on the stage a kids screaming. we again ran out of there as fast as we can. we suffered the classrooms. there was nothing scary about that but we saw blood on the walls. this time we walked out of the classrooms. We decided to go down the different hallways alone this time. we both had watches and i said to her” meet me on the bench next to the front door at 10:00 pm.” she said “deal”. we hugged and said good luck to eachother. it was 9:55 pm and i was heading down the hallway to the bench as i heard screaming down the hallway that my friend alexa went. i thought it was the uasal screaming that we heard since we walkled into the is place. it was exacually 10:00 pm when i sat down on the bench. i was wondering where alexa was. 5 minutes past and i started to call alexa’s name. i heard the screaming again and this time i heard “help” and it was alexa’s voice. she shaid ” i am by classroom 101 come and help me”. i ran down to classroom 101 and nobody was there. i said “alexa this is not funny tell me where you are. now!!!!!!!!!” i ran into the classroom and nobody was there neither. i saw a shadow pass by the lockers and go into the walls. i have noticed that my friend alexa had just disapered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i ran as super fast as i can and went into the cracks under the walls and ended up in the back of the school. i climed over the fence hopped into my car and drove off crying histerical and i drove off before the cops caught me. as soon as i got into the door i told my whole family and then called alexa’s whole family and then called the cops and told them!!!

A year or two ago I went there around 8am with two of my friends. I remember feeling the hairs on my arm rise and how the tree’s seemed like they were bending at us as we went further down the road. I got my friend to take pictures when he went in there because I was too scared to even exit the vehicle. I developed the pictures and the developments were pretty scary. I have pictures to prove taht there is SOMETHING in that buildign haunting the school. There’s a shadowy image at the far end of a hallway reflecting on the door entrance. When you flip the picture over, which is the scariest part ever. It looks like someone hanging upside down by it’s head.. now you tell me if that’s not scary or not, or maybe it’s just a coincidence? Or something. All I know is that I’ve been there 3 times and it still gives me that errie feeling. I haven’t been there since, I won’t ever enter the building because one of my friends, friends who brought a vid. tape to record she heard alot of children screaming int he tape. But what was scary about is that while she recorded she didn’t hear anything but when she played the tape at home there was noise. Wierd huh?

I have had a strange experience at the Ellerbe School. It was dark, obviously, why go somewhere haunted during the day. I was there with my boyfriend at the time and I have always wanted to check out this school due to the stories I’ve heard from students at school and also the lack of evidence of the whole story. We had parked at the gate, and I had gotten out, my boyfriend was behind me, and I had stepped up onto a tire that was at the bottom of the gate, looking around, and noticed a white figure forming. I ignored it at first, taking a step up on the bottom railing of the gate, and looked in the same place and saw a second white figure forming. They were they height of children, and I stopped, slowly moved back and was ready to go. I still want to go into the school, and get more proof.

Ok…this is my story. My friend and I decided to go to the school a couple of years ago…it was on April of 2003. We went during the day because we wanted to take pictures… It was Her bf, her bro, her and I. We got there and parked down the road a little…right past the fence theres a dirt road and we turned and parked in there. The guys were chicken **** but we weren’t scared. We jumped the fence and were on the left side of the school…we ran across the field *of course dodging cow manure* and ducking behind lil bushes to hide from passing cars. We went in the entrance of the auditorium…we took a few pictures in there and even though it was about 5pm it was still a lil dark in there…*maybe cuz of all the satanic “paraphernelia” that was everywhere, then we went thru a few hallways and into the gym which is at the back. It wasn’t scary at all…just a little eerie and creepy. We walked into the gym and you can see the remnants of bleachers and theres all kinds of burned up wood amd a big hole in the center. I took a picture when a bird flew out through where the ceiling used to be *its pretty much gone* and we both screamed. :) We both looked at each other and laughed and thats when we heard the tiny giggles of children. lemme tell you how fast we ran out of there!! all the way to the car where the punks were sitting there waiting for us. we took a few more pictures at the front of the school & took them to wal-mart to get them developed. It wasn’t until we looked at the pictures that we really got chills. There in front of the school…right by the gate…right in front of where I was standing to take the pictures were two childlike white figures one a little shorter than the other. In another photo there was a childlike white figure *playing* peekaboo behind a post. Yeah…I’m getting chills right now just thinking about it…..

I was doing some research and I have found this site. My other half and myself had recently just moved to Shreveport, La. I have some older freinds that have live in La for about biggest part of their lifes here. On Saturday night May 13, 2006 a geoup (8 people) of us from the ages 16-54. I was told about this place and I am the type of person that has to see and hear it for myself before I will believe any thing. It was about 2:15 A.M. when we have gotten there. We was at the 2nd drive way the one farthest from the stone sign. When we was standing at the gate I have heard this faintess little voice that scream out HELP! Then followed by a scream. I looked over to my friend and she was looking back I told her to hush. THen I have heard it again, and after we heard it the second time it never happen again. We stared out in to the black shadows where you cant really see anything other then you can see to the right what I would say looks like the circel drive where the carport is. 3 of us climb over the fence and walked up to the school. I have gotten closer to the school building I thought that I saw another fence and that I have to climb over it cause it was so dark. When I have gotten closer to what I thought was a fence it was the actual school. Then walk closer to the middle of the school which I guess is the breeze way. We walk a few steps through it and I had this funny feeling and I just had to leave. It was like I had this hand on my shoulders. We have taken a few pictures. When we gotten back to the house we had pull the pictures off the camera. We started looking at some of the pictures and they had all kinds of faces in it. IT was very scary! After the chills of looking at them I wanted to do research on this school. Then I was talking to my sister and she and her husband wanted to see for their self, so they decided to drive down here from Arkansas. When they got here (reminding you that its the next night) this time it was around 11pm that we have gotten there and then 4 of us went in and we had 2 cameras and taken a bunch more pictures. We got the left side of the schools front and then went down through the breezeway and taken few picutres on both sides. We gotten down to the break between the 1st building until the next building. Which if I looked at the map it shows that if we went into the 2nd building it would be the auditorum. Which we never gotten into there. I guess we started to freak out and left. When we gotten back to the house we looked at some of the pics and blew them up. There was some things that was hair and tear raising. Several people that was looking at the pictures we saw several faces of clowns. Whcih was not any kind of drawings! Then I saw on of the classrooms when you are looking in threw the windows you see 2 black kids. One looks like they are trying to climb out the window and the other one you see a boy looking out the window. The next thing that we saw was a clowns face again. The next window you see looks like a older woman with her hair up in a bun looks like she is carring a small child in her hands. Look closer you see another woman and several kids. The are all in the light color of blue. Then I have another picture of my friend that was starting to climb back over the fence. Right before he had did that I said just for fun let me take a picture and just see if there is anything that just shows up? He said ok. When we looked at the picture you cant see nothing but pitch black. Then I saw just this blue dot behind he head. I have blown it up to a bigger side and behold what did we see was a clowns faces laughing at him. If there is anyone that would like to see some pics that I have taken and they have not been edited so you can see for yourself go ahead. THe 2nd time we was there I didnt hear or see nothing until we have gotten home. We have taken some picutres of the water tower it showed up on the camera but when we gotten home it was nothing but black.

I’ve been there about 6 or 7 times and I have never seen anything out of the ordinary. The last time I went some of my freinds and I climbed the water tower. You can see for miles from up there. I saw the lockers were pulled down in the floor and if I remember correct the gym floor was either burnt or rotted. I never had the cops come out but I have heard that they do watch it. I have also hear the stories about the guy who owns the land but I have never seen him. (thank goodness!) Keep in mind though that the last time I was there was probably around 1994. There was a curved wall that was made and sitting in the middle of a classroom. It had carpet on it. I thought that it was kind of weird. I don’t know if it is still there. I would like to know more accurate history on the school though. I think that there is a barn out back. I might have imagined it though thanks in part to Miller Lite. If you go looking for ghosts you will probably not get your wish. I’ve never seen or heard anything in all of the visits I have had.

I have been out there this past weekend June 9th, 2006 during the day. This would make it my 5th time with in a month. When we have gotten there to walk the ground and go all up in the school we have found that within a week they have placed a barb wire fence around the school. We gotten in and taken pictures of every thing. People had told me that there is a hole in the floor in the gym. We walked all in it and all I have seen it dirt. IF there was at one time some one must have filled it up years ago. Cause now there is weeds and grass growing in there. We went in each building and what was left of the rooms. Then we have walk the yard a good ways and didnt see nothing other than a rundown place. All there is in the back of the yard is cows and stuff for the cows and walk over by the water tower and didnt see nothing like a house or nothing. BUT not saying that he aint out there. casue from the school about a block there is a dirt road now there is a old house back there. So this house is not that far from the school. We taken pictures at night and there were a few things out there and the pictures that we taken during the day and we have seen things on there. It might not be things out there but there are things that we cant explain what it is. There is a web site on ellerbe road school called the last souls and they have my pictures there if you dare to gander at them….

Ok I am older now, but about 20 years ago, some of my friends and I ventured out to the school on a weekend night. It wasnt watched back then, like it is now. We were able to park in front of the school in the circle drive and we all dared each other to go in. As we approached the school I felt a dreadful feeling and we started to here voices. We didnt know if someone was in there or what and we didnt want to get caught. We had 3 cars with us and as we were getting ready to leave a weird thing happened. I had a two door little sports cars with a hatch back. Now this is in the early eighties when cars were made of heavier materials. The hatchback opened and closed with hydraulic lifts. Anyway, I heard screaming coming from behind my car, went I went to look my friend who was climbing into the hatch back had her hands slammed by the door and the door was completely closed. I had never had trouble out of it and the hydraulics were fine. I frantically searched for my keys and unlocked the lid of the hatchback. We checked her hands and luckily, I dont know how, but nothing seemed broken. I guess it landed just right, I dont know, but it was very strange and of course we got out of there as fast as we could. I have heard many many stories over the years, on June 6 2006, which alot of people feared because of the 06/06/06 date the school was heavily guarded by police to keep cults and so forth away from the school. Nothing was ever reported about anything that happened that night but it was a very dark and stormy night, weird huh?

I did see abunch of demonic writings all over the wall and i walked through the gym and at the back of the gym was a door i opened and there really was a cement table and new blood dropings was on it. I really dont think its haunted. I just think at that time devil worshipers were doing there sacrafices of probably small animals, but if you have pictures i would like to see.

This was an old school that was no longer as “popular” as it was in it’s original days..therefore it was shut down. No one was killed there and no one disappeared there. There is nothing haunted about it. Other than some kids going out there and spray painting the walls and some so called devil worshipers…there is nothing to it. So, what is so scary about some spray painted writing on the walls of a closed down, run down school?

A lot of people don’t believe in ghosts, and they also don’t realize that a place doesn’t have to be haunted due to the past happenings. If people really are hosting rituals of sorts within the school, that in itself can attract negative spirits to the area. I’m not saying that you have to believe in ghosts or what not, but it does make the experience that much better. Stay safe people…and learn your grammar. You guys are horrible. -sighs-

Hey,well as for the rest of you i do not really know if the things you all say about the school is true or not. However when my fiance and I went out there we went with our family and friends on some occasions.Anyways, this is what happened at Ellerbe School on our visit. The water tower that sets off either on the side or the back of the school is where my fiance heard kids playing on what we are guessing a old playground area.He heard swing chains and the sounds of the children at play.At this time his parents we’re both in the gym and the camera they had brought there with them turned off and would not work. There was a cold spot in the gym and after walking away from the cold spot the camera started working again. We took pictures of the inside of the school and in one of those pictures a face of a old man was seen and tons of orbs was also in the pictures.I was standing in the breezeway of the school and heard someone tapping on the side of the rails of the breezeway. My guess was probably a pencil or maybe a ruler was used for making the tapping sound behind me.When I turned around noone was there. Also you can hear the sound of a school bell this I was told about from my fiance’s brother and also from his mother as well. They both heard the bell of the school. You can hear someone walking behind you falling into every step you make but when you turn around to see who is there then you will find noone following you. There is water dripping from the top of the roof of the school without any signs of rain outside. No cops bothered us at any of our visits to the school and we used flashlights because there is a lot of debris on the grounds inside of the school. We seen no cows around the school grounds but we could hear some around the school areas. We know for a fact by the things we heard that Ellerbe School is for a fact without a doubt haunted.

This place is not Haunted. The scariest thing is when the police try to arrest you. I have been there on numerous occasions. Nothing ever happened. The school was a private school and shut down because it could not afford to stay open. Someone set fire to it years after it was closed down and thats why it is burnt down. Its amazing how many thing can be started with lieing. My mom also attended the school. If you want more info on the place just go check out old newpapers.

First of all you can not go there around halloween because of cops and random kids running around. Go some random day that has no significance.

Second me and a few friends went a few years ago and I don’t care what anyone says or believes but that place isn’t right. We walked around looking at all the f^cked up **** people graffitied on the walls and saw that there was no one around. The moon was full, there were no clouds in the sky and there was no wind. As we ventured around we started hearing faint noises but couldn’t make out what it was or where it was coming from. Shortly after we heard the screams of a little girl or what sounded like one. She, it, or whatever was calling for help and repeated itself twice. It didn’t sound like any little girl I have ever heard before. It was f^cking eerie as hell. I would tell you that we tried to find where it was coming from but I’d be lieing. We ran our a$$ off. On the way out one of my friends tripped over something that was not there before. When I turned back to help him I saw that it was a dead cow that looked like it had been sacrificed and I will repeat myself when I say the cow was not there before.
Like I said before the place isn’t right. There is definetly something creepy there.

I can remember when the school closed. Soon after, it was vandalized. It sat there for years until the late 70s when satan worshipers found out it was there. All through the 80s it was used for rituals and other things. I went there many times and I never saw anything. We hung out there and drank beer back in the mid 70’s. A farmer owns it now and his cows are all in it. If he shoots anyone he will go to jail for life. You can’t shoot just because someone is trespassing, they have to be in your home before you can get away with it here in Louisiana. The real haunted spot out there is at the crossroads. There was a town there once, going west on 175 from the intersection down to that old church.(which is all thats left of the town) At the crossroads, on the northwest corner, there was a huge oak tree where many slaves were hung. If you want to see an apparition, hang out at the crossroads on some Saturday night. You better not be looking off because you’ll miss it. I’ve seen it many times, standing there where the tree once was. Just a glowing figure waiting for something or someone. Remember, when you go there, you’re where many have been before.

listen everyone… there is nothing out there but an old school… yeah i heard all the stories just like all of you, thing is i’m into this kinda stuff so me and my friends made regular trips to that school.. creepy looking yes, but ghost ridden, no – i’ve been all over that school during the day and night, we camped out right there in the auditorium on the old stage, that’s about all that’s left of the original building other than the walls still holding up parts of the roof… if you don’t believe me go see for yourselves.. and if you believe that story, do your research, there are no stories of any children disapearing anywhere out near Elerbe and definitely no freak’n janitor or anyone else.. the school had $$ problems and had to close, shortly after some people broke into the gym and started a fire.. yes there was talk of witchcraft and animal sacrifices, but i’ve been there and the worst i saw was the grafiti left by punk kids trying to scare the **** out of their friends…

not that i don’t believe in the paranormal – i do.. very much so, but it aint out there people.. now if you wanna discuss more … let me know i’d be glad to share my knowledge of local folklore,,,i’m into it man!

Okay, I know all of you have heard the stories, rumors etc. I have heard pretty much every story there is out there about the school. A lot of people have a lot of stupid improbable **** that they claim to have experienced. I don’t believe most of it. I have been to the school many times and never experienced a thing. Tonight, however, was different. See, I’m very psychically sensitive, what my boyfriend calls an “empath.” I believe that is why what happened happened to me rather than one of the four others I was with. Today is my birthday and we decided to go out and find something to do. We went out to the dam for a while, but that got boring. So I, being the big mouth that I am, say “Hey, Ellerbe School is right down the road. Wanna go check it out?” So off we go. We get to the school as two other cars are pulling up. My boyfriend and another friend get out and go up to them to ask if they are going to check out the school as well. Being the idiots that they are, they walk up and say “What are y’all doing out here?” I guess the kids thought they owned the property or something, because they took off. We climbed over the gate and through the barbed wire around the buildings (which is new, by the way, probably to keep the cows out) and make our way to the back of the school. Someone decides to go check out the gym first. We walk in and the others start looking around, exploring the stage and locker rooms. I, having been there frequently, just stand near a wall and watch as my boyfriend throws things over the crumbling walls trying to scare the other three, who haven’t been there before. Suddenly I feel something around my neck and pulling my hair and I’m slammed against the wall I am standing in front of. I don’t really freak out since things like that happen to me a lot when I visit “haunted” places. So I simply right myself and tell the other two that are in the room with me that we need to leave. We start walking down the breezeway and yelling at the other two guys, still in the locker room, that we need to leave. The entire way down the breezeway, whatever is there keeps grabbing my hair and yanking my head back. The girl that was with us was holding my hand and praying the netire time. Even with me teliing her to shut up because that seemed to be making it worse. We didn’t hear any screams or anything like that. Just something pulling my hair. I don’t know what it was and I never really believed that place was haunted, because there really isn’t any reason for it to be. There was no crazy janitor, the school didn’t burn down, and no children were molested or murdered there. It was a school for the farmers’ kids and it shut down because of low funding. The fire was a small electrical fire that occured after the school closed. I don’t know what was there but it apparently wanted us out. Being the stupid kids we are, though, we plan to go back and check out the rest of the school. This time with flashlights. If anyone wants directions or whatever, feel free to e-mail me. Thanks for taking the time to read my story. If you go, take a flashlight and be careful. Have fun!

I went on 12-28-06 with a sister & 3 friends we got there about 4pm & left about 5:30pm. But, however this place does have some activity. We didn’t have anything bad happen though. We did hear the little cry, a few moans, & a scream. We (my sister & I) did voice recordings & my sister & I took pictures. I’ve got a few with demonic faces & so on. There are a few distorted voices on the recordings. Anyway, the cops are bad. I never saw any cows, but did see loads of cows bones & manure. My sister & 1 friend went to the water tower, but they didn’t climb up. We weren’t there long enough to cover to whole ground. But, did cover most of it. We saw lots of spray painted sayings like, “Help me please he’s trying to kill me – I’m hiding.” & “He can’t be stopped.” And on one of the walls said Bodies with an arrow pointing into a room behind the gym. Well, this what we had pappen to us. We do plan to go back, not sure when it’ll be. But, we will go back. Please be safe & use common sense if you plan to go. Take Care, JenLea

First I have been there and nothing happened to me or the people I was with at the time. We went several times about 8-9 years ago. Two I am also an empath. I felt like I was being watch and I did feel the presence of children and adults there. We did get busted one time. We had made it to the cars and the police officer pulled up. We told him that one of the cars had over heated and we were looking for a house to get some water. He let us off with a warning. Anyway, this place is haunted. Nothing ever happened when this school was opened. That rumor is false. You also have to think. How long has that land been there? It just happens that this school was built on or near a place where women and children had died or had been murdered. Another thing, George Washington Carver School aka Ellerbe Road School closed after the scools where intergrated in the 60’s. I got this tid bit of information from persons that were going to school and had children in school when it closed. Also check with the school board. Going there is stupid and illegal. You can be arrested and spend time in jail. You have been warned. It is for your saftey that the police patrol that area. It is dangerous in there. The wall and celing have asbestos(sp?)in them which can make you very sick by breathing it into your lungs. There is alot of debris there and you can be seriously injured. The farmer is not reliable for any medical expenses since you were trespassing. He could also have you arrested for suspected cattle rustling (theft) which is punishable by 6 months or more in jail and a hefty fine. And yes people still steal cattle in this day and age. You have been warned.

Okay, so I am not from LA. I moved here from Colorado and went out to the school last night with a few of my friends from around here. We were just bored and looking for something to do at about 4 am. As far as getting there, I definitely recommend having at least half a tank of gas in a truck/suv…you just drive for like 20 minutes down Ellerbe road to get down there. We were lucky enough not to have had the cops or the owner show up at that time.

I have always been a bit sensitive about places, and just got a very bad feeling about the place. We parked at the gate and walked up, and I only got as far as outside of the Gym or auditorium, I started shaking and went back to the car. Other than that, nothing really happened. I have had that happen at places before though, not necessarily hauntings though. What I have found/belive I guess, is that certain places like schools, hotels, and churchs often have a strange energy to them because of the ammount of people who were there when they were open. When you have that many people in a place it start to get a bit jumbled.

I am not sure whether anything bad happened there or not, I found this site while looking for what I can find. So far all I have found was that it started as a segregated school, then was closed and bought by a church of some sort, that turned it into a college and then ran into some financial problems. I have found some of the stories about sacrifices and what not as well. The only thing I can say about that is people should be very careful getting into things they don’t understand.

My advice, if you’re curious about the school, check it out. Be careful going in, it’s very dangerous from what I’ve seen, and like other people have said, illeagal.

If anyone has any furhter information on the REAL history of the school, I would definitely love to hear it.

the school is not haunted but has been a gathering ground for some sick people.there have been murders out there.a cop was found with an ax in his head after the farmer called the police to report tresspassing.this was back in 89 so do your research correctly before you get on here and tell these kids it’s safe out there.the farmer did start shooting at people after that because i was one of them lol girls have been raped out there and kid’s have been beaten up badly and put in icu by other’s not safe out there so don’t go.

I hated her until the day she died. She was stollen by an evil spirit. I had dreams of her of who she could have been today. I now feel soo bad that I was ever mad at her. Nicole sorry to say but it would have sound true if you used better grammar becuase i could hardly understand your story myself, plus you stopped too soon, did she ever show up? did they ever find the body? was it ever on the news?

Anyway even though Nothing REALLY happend to me while i was there 2 years ago i do believe some of the things that people say happend there, i mean it can’t happen to every single person who goes there, some people are just different and it doesnt mean that that Mysterious force in the school dosent exist.

I went there with a friend around 4pm and it was fixing to rain. i saw a very wierd plant while i hopped the fence ( i cant bleieve i didnt think to take a picture!!) i had a digital camera with me and the only thing that i was terrorfied of was that old grumpy farm guy becuase i heard a he pointed a shotgun in a guy’s face telling him to get off the property.

okay so we hopped the fince and the first place we went to was the of course the first building that you see, we didnt see or hear anything but i took a bunch of pictures. We got to the lunch room i REMEMBER putting the digital camera in the window way of the double doors and took one picture of that room. we were going to head down the breezeway but my friend’s dad blew his horn which was NOT a good idea! we ran back the way we came and quickly hop the fence.

The last time my friend went there she said as soon as she was getting ready to leave she could have sworn someone called her name, but she said it may have been the cows who were making noise.

At last my digital camera, at the time i didnt know how to operate it and i heard that ALOT of people’s pictures never get to print out or develop really well or not at all. so at the time i didnt know how to delete pictures off my camera trust me on that! i found that the lunch room photo was never there, ALOT of my pictures were gone and i couldnt explain why. i asked my dad if this camera could delete things by itself and he said no, plus it takes alot to delete you have to turn the knob then press another button then chose which pictures to delete.

we would have gone to the gym but there were two dogs running arond down there and if they saw us they probaly would have barked and that guy would have came out.

i posted SOME of my pictures on the Haunted Louisiana site, just look for my name and you will see it

Alright people, let me give you the story behind the school. My family owns the property and I have shot at stupid teenagers that come on to the land. The school was abandoned back in the early 1980’s because of redistricting, if you drive around Louisiana you will find a lot of similar situations. Anyways, some dumb asses thought it would be a great idea to worship the occult. That’s where the graffiti comes from and the whole haunted ****. They were there for only two nights, mostly doing some heavy drugs, when they were arrested. My uncle shot one of the trespassers in the leg. The whole devil **** came from the fact that they were all taking acid and were hallunating. So if you go there all you’re going to do is get some good shoes dirty, shot at and arrested.

Creepy: I came across this site, unable to sleep after my husband told me about the hounted house he grew up in down in Marksville, LA. I grew up in Shreveport–in a house only haunted by my creeped-out family–and we knew about the Old Ellerbe Road School–or Church? or Tower? or Farm?–in the late seventies and early eighties. We tried to find it several times but never did, probably because like you teenagers we were drunk or tripping or both. So, the story is pretty old, at least as old as when I tried to find it, sometime between 77-79. Now, it seems to me that if we were hearing about it back then, there could be something in it. I don’t really see how it could be tied to integration, because I was in 2nd grade at A. C. Steere when we were integrated, so that would put the closing at around 1969 or ’70 maybe. Does a place get a reputation for being haunted that quickly? I suppose it could, if people disappeared or were murdered there. By the way, do check out the haunting out on “OLD” Sligo Road. Sorry, not much info from me on Ellerbe, but I do remember it from way back then, and it was known to be haunted, and though I don’t remember by what or whom, it was a ghost and not “satan worshippers”–whatever that term means. I mean, do evil people bother with “worship”? Sounds like a waste of good evil-doing time to me . . . Anyway, it’s good to hear that the kids are still out there looking for ghosts and getting picked up by the cops. Remember, it’s haunted if you SAY it’s haunted. Have fun, kids. C. E. Look, I canâ??t stand these stupid assed bullshit stories about the old Ellerbe Road School anymore. I grew up in Shreveport; know the whole area by heart. No police officer EVER was found dead with an ax in his head. Do you wish to scare yourself? Go right ahead believe this bullshit. It is your right, but donâ??t keep the old janitor/missing kids, crazy janitor/burned kids in auditorium stories going because IT NEVER HAPPENED, bullshit lies and rumors somebody started back in the day when I was about 10-12 years old in the 70â??s. The fire happened LONG after the school was vacated. Back in the day, I went out there on many occasions, the dam area, the water tower, blah, blah. Back then, you could drive right up to the front, no fences. It was gross and filthy back then, and yes, so was that â??scary satanic graffitiâ?. Itâ??s all been there a LONG time folks. Yes, it seems scary, I havenâ??t been out there for at least 10-12 years now, it WAS CREEPY, dark, and smelled musty and pissy 20-25 years ago, but no spooks are/were out there, now or then.
Back in 1986 when Haleyâ??s comet could be seen and I remember one of the colleges (LSUS I think) had set up a REALLY powerful telescope out there because it was so dark out that way. If you were willing to stand in line for 2 hours, then you could look at it for a couple of minutes. I know because I was there!
I can TELL YOU that the school was never a private school. The truth is it was a â??n wordâ? school when I grew up (back when one could say â??n wordâ? without causing everybody to get a stick up their ***, like they didnâ??t say it either, but that is another story) Get over it, like it or not I could care less, the truth is the truth. No I do NOT hate blacks, I am simply making a true statement that the word was not â??horribleâ? to use back then. We are all just so politically correct these days arenâ??t we? That is off subject though, just telling you the truth as what the school was known as.
You are all so damn gullible. The â??empathsâ? make me want to puke. Oh, and the â??sensitivesâ?. If they really were â??sensitiveâ? then they would have enough SENSE than to wander around manure infested, trash filled dark school looking for something that is NOT out there! I KNOW haunted, I know there are REAL scary places but this old shell of a school isnâ??t where SCARY is. Creepy yes, haunted no. Private property yes, haunted no.
Satanic cults are full of outcasts and goofs who hate on everybody and come together so theyâ??ll feel better about being squirrels and goofs and â??wannabesâ?. Their cults are so they can â??get backâ? at everybody they hate. They are full of **** too. In addition, so you younger ones will just know in general, the â??satanicâ? graffiti bullshit was â??coolâ? to do in the early 70â??s maybe before that even. I remember it even being up in the top part of the â??rocketâ? at Betty Virginia Park in the 70â??s, I had no clue what it was back then, as I was a little kid..
So lastly folks, I like to add an honorable mention to the immature silly ***** Nicole (full of **** with her missing â??friendâ?, there IS no PART 2 because she is full of ****!). Do any of you dumbasses read the local newspapers, watch the local evening news, or perhaps visit a local library? Again, there was/is no crazy janitor or missing kid(s), nor was there ever a dead cop with an axe in his head found out there.
Oh yes, Darnassus/B> Lord (does that stand for â??DUMBASSESâ??) if you were so damn INTELLIGENT then youâ??d know there was no such word as ANYWAYS! Anyway is not plural. Go back to SKOOL! Oh you the one who claims to â??own the propertyâ? anyone with any sense can see you are full of **** and you donâ??t on a pot to piss in.
I was’t going to say anything, but the more I read the more I wanted to puke, especially knowing the TRUTH about out there at the school. Now you folks donâ??t be hatinâ?? on me! As they say, â??Donâ??t shoot the messenger!â?. Oh yes one last thing, if you believe this bullshit then Iâ??ll just bet those â??blue misty clownsâ? will come for you! How about the one whom posted that â??there was a new fenceâ? but thought it may have been there to keep the cows out, MAYBE it was there to keep DUMBASSES like you out, duh! Oh yes, to shoot someone legally, they have to enter your HOUSE, so unless the owner wants to spend his last days in prison picking up soap, then he’d better not shoot anyone. He can only call the police, or hire a private security company, or SELL.
Look, if you are here looking for real ghost then do a search on the Web to find better sites than this, where there isnâ??t all of these false rumors and plain old made up bullshit lies by people who as my Daddy used to say, â??Donâ??t know their *** from a hole in the ground!â?. This could have been a really good site but all of the back and forth comments including my own takes away from having fun and finding real haunted sites. I was in a good mood before I started going down through these comments and I sunk as low as everyone else did, but I just could NOT stand the lies and bullshit anymore!BUT, if you do go then make sure that you are up to date on your tetanus shots and I do hope you are goofy enough to break your dumbassed necks trying to get the **** out of there with a blue misty ghost up on your *** chasinâ?? you!

I just read the “Charming”, or is it “Charmed” One’s comment. As I wrote before, I was a teenager in the 70’s and we went out there to the old school. We also went out the old Pea Farm when all the buildings and the water tower were still there. There was no fence at it either. The Ellerbe School was always, like any other abandoned building, a place for kids to hang out. It was later on that it became “haunted”. I have a picture of the school at night from the road and you can see a few orbs in it. This is where the blue clown comes from. Alot of orbs look like they have a smiling face. Like I said, the real haunted area out there is at the crossroads of Ellerbe and 175, at the blinking light. This is where a town once was. Those storage buildings next to the old church on down 175 West are a little that remain of it too. There was a huge dead tree, which I presume was an Oak or Pecan, (being dead for many years it’s sometimes hard to tell) at that crossroads on the northeast side. This was, as told to me by an old black man that lived down from the place, where “bad” slaves were hung along with a few others as well. If you know the story of Robert Johnson(delta bluesman)you know all about crossroads. I sat there many a night watching that intersection and finally I saw what I came to see. Standing on the northwest corner where the rotted tree trunk still stood was the figure of a large man surrounded by a bluish-white halo or glow. We watched him for a few seconds and he dissapeared into the cotton. I started the car and slammed it into gear and headed east on 175 out to Highyway 1 past the observatory. We went back there alot more times and on a few nights witnessed the same thing. I had been taken up by the story of Robert Johnson and to us this was our “crossroads”. Another very disturbing event took place there in the early 90s that involved what looked like an apparent demonic possession that almost resulted in a murder. I can’t comment too much on this due to family ties. I know this is not about the school but that entire area is veiled in darkness. Ever drive past there and see those big black dogs just standing there starring at you? Some of you won’t believe any of this but sometimes if you go too far into the dark side you can’t get out. It takes a permanent piece of your soul away, if not all of it. Oh, by the way, I passed the old school at dusk dark last week and a sherrif’s deputy was sitting right down from it on an oilfield road. I thought about all you guys on here.

First to Drake, I do agree with you it is the “area”. You should also post your experience on this website where you can add the actual locations of haunted places, then more people may see it and be able to add their own experience to yours. Your comment is so buried into the Ellerbe school post that if one were looking for it they may not find it.

To you and anyone else, I did have an experience quite close to that area. Here is what happened one October years ago, the early 80s, it was my Mama, my older sister and I. My Daddy worked evenings at that time and my older brother was who knows where. We were looking for a real thrill on one October night (we were in the mood since Halloween was a few weeks away, though not thinking weâ??d actually find or see anything), and drove way out to the boonies around the exact area you are speaking of. Unexplainable â??thingsâ? did not normally easily freak us out. Iâ??d like to make that clear right off. Before we got out that far where you are talking about, things got very oddly quiet and fog came out of nowhere, FAST (all at once), I truly mean SUDDENLY all three of us at the same time, after we all separately acknowledged the it was all WRONG FEELING; we drove away OPPOSITE from the whole area VERY quickly! Just as quickly as the hair on our heads and necks were crawling and we all 3 had chills, as we were further away from â??itâ? it all ceased (if youâ??re from Shreveport then you know it does NOT ever get cold/chilly in October). Something was in that weird fog, it didnâ??t even look like â??normalâ? fog and it rolled in surrounding our car just too fast to be natural, not to mention the dead silence. We were quite shaken up for several days, as we all seem to KNOW when “somethingâ??s” not right.

Anyway, your post on the area is much more detailed and interesting. I again suggest you make a separate post under your own heading. I do also know the approximate area you are referring to (I haven’t been out that way for many years due to our own experience, plus I no longer live in Shreveport though much of my family and many of my friends are still there). I am now the Mommy of 3 sons aged from just turned 11 years, 9 ½ years and our youngest is 5 years old. ( I didnâ??t get started having children until my early 30s) They all LOVE a good spook story, and when they get older, they will want to visit scary places as I did/do. There IS a difference between GOOD and BAD energies. I donâ??t claim to be a â??sensitiveâ? or â??psychicâ?, I feel it is quite narcissistic to state those types of things. I am just saying that there is a difference between GOOD and BAD energies, like that night we felt it was WRONG out there! Before that we were laughing and having a blast until we seemed to â??cross a lineâ? where the silence was awful, no crickets, frogs, night owls NOTHING.

Oh, In my teens, I was â??chasedâ? by a large black dog with orange/red eyes he was gaining on me and then he just disappeared! That is why I really freaked after not having thought of that incident in many years and I got â??the chillsâ? just reading about those dogs you were writing about. Though the circumstances were different, the description was quite similar.

I know I sounded like a jerk when I 1st posted, but after reading down over 100 postings and some were just not even clear enough to understand what they were saying, AND the pure LIES of the history as well as passing on old made up rumors about it. I like to keep it real and mature, not all of the **** that was getting thrown on this post and especially the made up bull****, that people were just getting sucked up into and actually BELIEVING!. There are other websites for made-up stories. I feel like there are enough REAL scary things out there to tell, without spreading rumors that just arenâ??t true. On top of the made-up lies that one could or SHOULD be able to tell that they were just pretend stories, especially the one from some immature girl thinking they were scaring the **** out of people, about her missing FRIEND, that was probably sitting next to her at the computer helping her make up the ****, GROW UP! If you want to make it up then just go to sites where they welcome made up stories and then people may just like it.

I truly am not a jerk, though as a parent of three very young boys, that the spelling and English references is just scary in my book, (not just on this site) as some of them truly donâ??t seem to even care to spell correctly. I also realize that it isnâ??t my job to police the grammar errors. Np Iâ??m not an English major, far from it. It is just called have a little pride people! Pick up an OLD FASHIONED dictionary and LOOK IT UP! What is scary is if you think about it they probably DONâ??T even KNOW HOW TO look a word up in the dictionary. Anyway, Iâ??m not a jerk.

I close for now saying MAKE A POST for that intersection, no telling whom has additionsâ?? to your story!

To anyone who still lives in that area, check out where the old town of Caspiana was way out on Hwy.1 (starts out as Youree Drive which is La. Hwy. 1 going south) there was once a plantation that no longer stands that supposedly has activity out there. My Grandma mentioned it once, but she has been passed away since 1979, and then I was interested but still couldnâ??t drive. Later on, nobody would go with me as they were too scared. That is an area I never got to explore but wanted too. No telling what has changed out there in the many years since I heard of it. Does anybody know of it?

I am NOT speaking of the pecan station to where (or used to could) buy pecans out on Hwy. 1.

Hey Charmed One, it’s great you responded to my entry. I have written to several sites with this story and none responded. Thinking of starting a new one and editing it myself before the post are made public. Like you, I can tell when it’s just kids making up ****. I do remember something about Caspiana but I’ll have to ask my sister, the memory of the family lol. I have a son 21 and you usually loose some facualties raising kids. This you will find out. I’m 48 now and have been involved in the spiritual realms for many years. I weed out the garbage and stick to the repeat stories which if told intelligently and are close to the same every time are usually worth looking in to. I wish I could give you my web address but I don’t want to publish it here. Do you know of some way to contact me or me you? If so, let me know and I’ll do it. Maybe we can get a site or a blog page up and running on REAL supernatural and paranormal events in this area. There is one site called Haunted Louisiana but they won’t respond to my e-mails. Alot of their stuff is false and confused. Some local women have also started a walking ghost tour of Downtown Shreveport and alot of their info is incorrect too. As to that fog. Was it sorta black? Did it seem to engulf everything, not just hang in the air? And where did you see the dog? You have my undivided attention. Drake (alias)

Ok, first of all, ya’ll are all really stupid. those people that go into the school and kill the cows or whatever. ya’ll need to go get help bc ya’ll have mental problams MAJOR!!The blood is from idiots that go kill cows and wipe blood all over the place. the noises are probably from other idiots trying to scare people. and the owner, (which i think this is the only thing ya’ll got write from the story) really will shoot you, but it’s only salt rock. and yes he does have the right to shoot ya’ll if you go on his property. the rumor was probably made up so idiots like ya’ll wouldn’t go on there, but still sick, demented stupid ppl have to go on the property, and kill cows and make a spectacle of your selves. the whole in the floor is bc the wood in the room got week, and probably some dumb@ss went in there and fell through it. there is no such thing as ghosts, however if i was one i would make damb sure that no one made it out of the school. So maybe this message will put some sense into your heads. and i’m glad that the cops are there bc i think we need ppl off the streets that think killing animals is cool. and oh if that was my property. i would use reall bullets. and leave ya’ll there after i shot ya’ll butts, and let the spirits get you. like the idiots deserve. God i can’t beleive what idiots we have on this earth these days.

Ok First of all No one ever dissappeared from that school! I am from Shreveport! The school burnt down and it had been closed for years before that. No one died in the fire either. Now, the school is scary and it might be haunted but I think it from Devil worshipers. They like to hang out there and do weird stuff. There are weird paintings and words all over the walls. I have actually went to the school in day time and at night. During the day we made it quick because it is private property and the owner will shoot you for tresspassing. Normally its him that people hear. As for night time I was so scared! Mainly because it is dark and creepy. I could hear cows mooing, but no kid screams! It did feel like something was watching us and following us. I never saw anything but it was scary! I had a friend I meet after I went I never told him about my experience till one day we were talking about scary stuff. He said he went and felt the same way. We both could hear something on top of them ceiling like it was rolling around but it only did it when we were walking, If we stoped it stoped. He also said that he saw a cow with red eyes which is the same thing another one of my friends saw but I did not. The weird thing is my friend is from texas and he did not know any of my other friends but yet all are stories were the same! If it is haunted its not by children ghost that dissapeared trying to find a janitor its from the devil worshipers. If you have Questions email me at

Well I have never been to Ellerbe Road before…but some students at my school were saying that it was haunted because the principal had called all the students and staff to the gym or auditorium and he chained all the doors and the people were asking him what he was doing and he snatched open his shirt and had alot of bombs attached to him and the people went crazy in the building then the school blew up……..IS THAT TRUE???…..or IS IT A MYTH?

It just keeps gettin’ better and better! lol Nothin’ like that ever happened there. Nothin’ ever happened there at all. They just closed the school because they didn’t have enough kids to keep it open who lived in that area. There was no janitor or principle or maniac teacher or axe murderer or nothin else. It’s just an old abandoned school that needs to be torn down and probably soon will be. The owner of the land has never shot anyone or never will, he just calls the sheriff dept. to come out and arrest or run you off he catches you inside the fence. He has cows out there and they cost money to raise and feed and he doesn’t want a bunch of dumb@ss kids getting hurt or his cows getting hurt either. You might see a killer squirrel or a really mean rabbit though.

Drake says:

I was out at the school last week and I saw a clown with his head missing. He had a big mean smile on his face and was carrying a rubber baseball bat! I went on in the school and the landowner saw me. He shot me with a super soaker full of red koolaid. It looked just like blood from a hampster. It was real scary. My friend cut her hand on a broken window she was trying to jump out of when she saw the clowns face. The window was only from one room to another so she really didn’t go anywhere by doing all that. She got a disease from the window and is really sick. They say she has schoolatosis Ellerbe-itis. That’s a real bad one they say. They say the only way to get rid of it is to go back to the school and look for screaming ghost kids that will push your car for you if you run out of gas or you get a deer hung in your fanbelt. I might try the other thing and they say that’s to climb the water tower and shoot orbs with a paintball gun and let them fall on her. She has to be wearing a Brittney Spears mask for any of this to work and the lips have to move before her talking does. Oh well, I guess no one will believe this but it’s true.

I would have to say it was what happened after the fact of me going there that got to me….i was on my way to Haughton about 5:30 am in the morning and on my way there going down highway 80,,,this really weird feeling came over me….I looked in my rearview mirror,, and i saw this devil looking demon thing in the back seat of my car…it was like laughing at me…kinda hovering at towards me… i floored the gas pedel all the way down…til i got to where i had to go…also the moon was like a really sharp sliver and it seemed like the closer i got to my destination the closer i was getting to the moon… or the moon was coming towards me….anywaz if anyone has ever seen the play HEAVENS GATES AND HELLS FLAMES… the demon looked like the devil from that play…it was soooo scary THAT IS WHY I THINK THAT PEOPLE SHOULDNT PLAY WITH STUFF LIKE THAT BECASUE IT IS SOOO REAL AND I BELIEVE THAT SPIRITS CAN FOLLOW YOU….

Look LAST TIME GULLIBLE FOLKS!!! PLEASE get some sense in your heads and read BOTH of my post dated 7/7 and 7/8 respectively.
Oh Yes, Brandy “good try” AGNEW was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT school, I SHOULD KNOW I attended it for over 2 years. It WAS Ellerbe BUT all is JUST LIKE I STATED! OH one more thing folks, there is NO school bus load of children that will push you off of tracks OR if you run out of gas! That same “school bus story has become what that claim is an “Urban Legend” and the original story took place somewhere in Texas, and EVERY state just about has a RR Track where kids will push you to “safety” (and if you add baby powder to your bumper and trunk you’ll even WOW see their little handprints!! WWOOOOOHHHHHHHH!) Oh yeah another thing next thing you know Ellerbe will have its very own “Cry Baby” bridge that darn near every state also lays claim to. PLEASE can’t you desperate folks RESEARCH SOMETHING!! Again, I am NOT a know it all it is just that I happen to be the right age to have seen this go from a normal closed school to know just plain ‘ol made up BULL shitola!! It is ABSOLUTE scary to me just how many of you just keep on and don’t even READ ALL of the post and are mature enough to actually decipher the made up lies that nuts “get off” on telling goofs to believe and those of us that ATTEMPT to TELL YOU THE ABSOLUTE GD TRUTH!! DRAKE is a riot, she blogs on 9/14 a regular TELLING THE TRUTH BLOG and right after she blogs a crazy nutty blogs I can tell made up like a test if anyone would even realize that she was one and the same, and not ONE FOOL made mention, and I was LMAO!!!! Way to go Drake-o these people do NOT want the truth. We will be the ones bashed, not the one that are yankin’ everybody’s chain. If you want a REAL SCARE I’ll Tell you some REAL SPOTS! I will NOT however reveal a great spot (and also I don’t live in S’port anymore family does, not my immediate family thought – not that it matters – ) anyway I will not reveal a good TRUE spot to ANYONE whom continues to believe and lie and keep on with this BEATEN TO DEATH ELLERBE ROAD STORY!!! Bash me if you wish It will just make me laugh HARDER at the pathetic horsecrapola you folks WANT TO BELIEVE!!!!! Grow UP, and Drake-o You gave me a great laugh the Britney Spears added a really comical touch!

Hey Charmed, This will go on forever and it will keep getting bigger and bigger. You know it will. I think it’s hilarious to see what these kids will believe. I wonder if any of them believed my story? You remember the Dog man of Keithville? He was a poor tormented soul. He would bark at us when we drove by and he even looked like an animal. Some say he died and others say he was put in an insane assylum. Whichever it was, he’s gone. That was a real urban legend that we all saw. I guess no one remembers him. The Ellerbe School is almost completely covered by vegetation now.You can barely make out the building, just like the old Pea Farm. I don’t think you can get to it without bringing a machete to chop your way in. Oh by the way, me be a man but I was flattered about what you wrote. I’m gonna give ’em all a teaser. There was an old Masonic Lodge off Jefferson Paige Rd. If you look hard you can still see the lilies when they come up in the spring. This is where they performed unnatural acts on young childen. Some say they were sacrificed to Lucifer (satan to all under 30). The church leaders found out about it and supposedly burned it to the gound. If you can find the location, they say you can hear the screams of the kids that were tortured and killed on any Friday the 13th and on halloween. I know where it is but have never been there. Maybe someone on here might want to find it and check it out. It is very close to the exit ramp off I-220, before you go over Cross Lake. Stay in touch. Drake

Hi Drake!

I am SO VERY sorry I seemed to have mistaken you for a woman, it was all me I just did it our of habit as one of my very best friends last name was Drake, I wasn’t thinking and you know what that say about when you assume something you make an a** out of U and me!
Again I am very sorry, I LOVED YOUR POSTS! BTW have you noticed we have atleats seemed to have puzzled ‘them” somewhat as there have been no NEW STUPID ghosts posts on here since we have last posted!
Again my apologizes and I am quite sure that you are a fine man that wants to also tell the truth! Also I was ALWAYS too scared to go to the pea farm when I had the chances (too young and too scared) I do absolutely remember something about the Dogman, but I don’t remember specifics as my big sister told me about him and she passed away awhile back now (miss her daily :( ) I do NOT remember hearing about the Masonic Lodge. You take care now and I’ll keep checking back, I am like you I just seem to have to check back to see what other BS is being posted, and I am still LMAO about your second posts the other day, and NOBODY seemed to put 2 and 2 together, THAT is what blew me away! You know, some of these crazy posts are what is SCARY on here!!! Tal at ‘cha later gator! Charmed

Hey Charmed, No harm done! I did notice how we stopped some of the stupidity. I bet they will soon be back here though. As to the Pea Farm, it’s so overgrown you can’t see it at all anymore from the road. GE bought all that land and put up a big fence but it’s down in one section and there is a trail going back into the pine thicket that now surrounds the place. Someone told me its still the same inside except for the wisteria vines that have engulfed it. I can’t believe they haven’t torn it down. I owned a building in downtown Shreveport that was very haunted and it’s one of the topics on several other Shreveport haunted sites as well as a walking tour of haunted places in the downtown area. Are there any good places where you live now? I need to find more people like you around here and do some serious ghost hunting. All the paranormal websites and groups in Shreveport are so full of poo that I wouldn’t waste my time dealing with them. Even after writing them and telling them the real stories with the proof to back them up, they still leave the lies posted. I guess they like lies better than the truth. So did you hear about the mysterious lights in the night sky over the old school? You can only see them on clear nights. The first ones show up at dusk dark and then there are lots and lots of them after it gets real dark. There’s this really big one that changes it’s shape every night. They all move across the sky real slow. When the sun comes up they all disappear. It’s really wierd!

Great posts Drake and Charmed. I am 35 and a Shreveport native. I remember driving past the school once years ago in the daytime, but had no desire to get out. (I’ve never had any paranormal experiences, and am also a wuss I guess ;)… I’m fascinated with our local history and historic buildings (which we are losing more and more of at an alarming rate!). I am part of a local non-profit historic preservation society that is newly forming.
I would LOVE to hear more of your Shreveport haunted stories. As I mentioned, I’ve never had a legitimate experience with the paranormal, but a few of my friends have (one in particular). She shared a “flashback” with her father while driving with her family down a backroad in N. La. or S. Ark. when she was a child. They both saw an b/w image of a 1930’s car being pushed across the road…she has also has been confronted by the ghost of a child who perished in a house fire in the Broadmoor area (I believe). I should ask her to write down some of her stories…..
I want to check out the Downtown Ghost Tour as well as the Logan Mansion Tour on Austin Place. Even if that place isn’t really haunted, I’d love to see the inside. Thanks for sharing!!!!!

Glad you enjoyed the post Wileyboo. I have always been a big history nut and love old buildings and architecture as well. Shreveport is the City of the Wrecking Ball. They have no sense of preservation whatsoever. I guess the people in charge don’t really care about anything but what they can get for thenselves or their cronnies. The Logan Mansion is an awesome place. The Municipal Auditorium houses many ghosts and was just featured in a real ghost hunt by a crew from out of town. A friend of mine has had some personal experiences there. The Ellerbe Road school is just a creepy old place and there may be some truth to what some of these kids are saying but it’s been blown way out of proportion. There are a few real haunted places around here like 601 Texas St. next to the court house. I think it’s on the downtown walking tour. I personally know about it and the things my family and I experienced there outnumber anything I have ever heard of, including The Myrtles Plantation. Keep looking back here and I’ll post a new story soon.

yeah I heard about this school but is it really huanted. I go to Fair Park High School and some people say it reminds them of our school. I kinda believe the rumors but its also kinda hard 2 believe. But I been there and it is really ****** scary. If you go on a certain night(we went friday) you don’t think you will cry you might will not not. But I went down ther and got left by my friends for a joke and it turned out a live or die situation. A white van came and turned into the drive way and the lights cut off. The first thing I said was it’s someone to visit the school. I heard a noice, for a split second I turned. There was nothing I turned back around the car was gone but I heard no car crank up and it was cut off I heard it when it did. When I turned back 2 the school there were 2 blsck shadow running toward me I rsn 2 the road as fast as possible. When I got there my friends came out off no where. I quickly jumped in the car and we drove off. When I looked back at the school there were the two black shadows going back 2 the school. I never been back ever since. But I might go back this halloween. I never learn the lesson.

I’ve lived in Bossier for about nine years.
I’ve asked tons of my friends to go up to the school with me, but all of them refused. They aren’t scared of the ghosts or the demons or anything. They’re all just really terrified of the guy that owns the property. They don’t want to get shot. If anyone would wanna go up there with me, just look me up on Myspace. The name is “Master Keys”.

Much love, and I really want to go.

Hey I went to the school one night with my g/f and best friend. Since I’ve already heard stories about the gym, etc I decided to check out the tower since no one talks about it. I started to climb the ladder and about half way the old rusted thing had the upper part missing, so I had to pull myself up. Once I got to the top, I looked down and sure enough I did see my own reflection on the day that I die and nearly Sh*ted on myself. I am never going back to that school ever!

Drake says:

November 5, 2007, 8:19 am

Blockhead, If you’d read the comments by Charmed One, myself, and a few others, you’d know what went on. Exactly nothing. The whole thing is an Urban Legend. The school closed due to a lack of students in the area at the time. No one died there or anything else. It’s abandoned, overgrown with vines and it looks creepy so it’s what makes a good story. It’s owned by a man that runs a few cows on the land. Kids love ghost stories and they love to exagerate.

Drake says:

November 5, 2007, 8:33 am

Watch out for killer rabbits if you go to the school. Them squirrels are bad too. The owner has a new gun. It’s an ak assault m-16 tec-11 sks 30-30. It can shoot over 10 miles so you can’t get away. They say he has a telescope mounted on it and can see 10 miles . He has moved up to the top of the water tower and can see everyone who sneaks in. He’s trained his cows to circle you once your in and they all start pooping on you until you’re buried in cow poo. No one will find you because they don’t want to dig around in the huge cowpile. Thats what happened to Nicole’s friend. She’s in the cowpile to the right. At least that’s what the dead janitor says.

All of these stories were a great read on my boring friday afternoon at work! I have been to the school several times but never had anything supernatural happen. The only scary thing that ever happend was the first time I went out there with some friends. After driving for what seemed like forever we decided to turn around bc we thought we had passed it or something. When we went to turn around the car head lights flashed over the school and scared us to death bc we were not expecting to see it. Yes very lame I know. Most of the time when went out there we were more afraid of the cops and the guy that owns the land. The last time I went about 5 or 6 years ago during the day, I took a few pics of the front of the school(didnt get to go in bc a cop drove up). Other than a creepy old school there isnt really any thing in the pics that I notice. My mom has lived in Bossier/Shreveport her entire life so I asked her about it. She said that it was a school that was mostly black students and it closed down for normal reasons, no mass murder of students. If there is anything supernatural out there it is probably from all the stuff thats happened since the school has been closed. I have heard several stories from my friends that have been out there, but never seen anything myself. Even after all these years I still ike reading these stories. I wanna go back to the school but havent bc of the cops and the land owner. Maybe one day I will, who knows.

Drake and I am The Charmed one, yalls posts were the most interesting to me. I have lived in Bossier/Shreveport my entire life and always like reading about history of this area. I have always like finding out about old buildings in this area and have explored several and always like to find more to explore:)

Ok so here is thestory I was told when I first heard about the school. I was surprised I didnt see it on here….One day a teacher in the school was called to the office and when she left her classroom she locked the door so her students couldnt get out while she was gone. While she was in the office the school caught on fire. The kids were to short to climb out the windows so they were trapped in the room and burned alive. After the fire the school was closed down and never rebuilt. The school is haunted by the students who died there and if you go near the classroom they were in you can hear them screaming and crying.

Also I found this video on youtube. Its not my video but it shows what the inside of the school looks like
copy and paste the link and it should take you to the video.

Drake says:

January 9, 2008, 8:32 am

Tara, I think someone caught the place on fire after it was closed but I have heard that story and it could be true. Satanic cults did go there some years back but all that has stopped now (so I’ve heard). I went to your my space page. Makes me want to be 20 something again, lol. My friends and I used to go to all the “haunted” places around here. We did have some wild experiences at a few of them. Then we all got older and got married and drifted away. The school is just one of the MANY places around here that are a little on the haunted side. One place is St.Joseph’s Cemetery down on Texas Ave. There is a blueish-white apparition that is seen around the center of the place and an elderly, grey haired,well-dressed woman has been seen walking the lanes in the daytime. (I’ve seen her myself) PLEASE don’t go there without a group, it’s a pretty rough hood these days. Keep in touch and let us know of any other places you go to. Drake

Drake~I think that the cemetary is actually part of a haunted tour that someone in shreveport was doing. Thats if im thinking about the same cemetary. I havent been though, and didnt really want to bc of where its at. 2 weekends ago I was out near Ellerbe road and wanted to drive by the school but ended up passing the road (I was on LA 1) and didnt realize it till I was too far past it. One of these days I will go back. I also wanna check out the old Caddo Parish Prison but havent gotten to yet. Im more afraid of our cars getting broken into than anything out there. Some of my friends did go out there a few months ago and said it was pretty cool.

Drake says:

January 29, 2008, 12:24 pm

Hey Tara, I think the one on the tour is the Oakland Cemetery right next to the Municipal Auditorium. St. Joseph cemetery is down Texas Avenue near the main Post Office. It may be on the tour also. We used to go to the prison when the guard shack and the water tower were still there. It was one creepy place. The prisoners wrote on the walls who they were and how long they had been in. Lots of them died and they were buried on the back of the farm where the GM plant is now. The bones were dug up by construction crews and were buried right in the hard curve at the end of GM Blvd. So many have been killed there. I heard people have seen apparitions walking around at the curve who have distracted drivers, causing them to miss the turn and fly off the end of the road to be killed when they hit the ditch bank. I do know first hand that the bones were buried there but I haven’t seen any apparitions. Could be a cool place to sit one night and watch. Keep in touch. Drake

Ellerbe does have something going on. I have been several times (only go with a big group) And its freakiness actually is the namesake of my band. We have taken cameras and phones out to the school, and something disturbed the electronics. We have seriously lost like 5 high dollar digital cameras and I know a least 4 of our phones screwed up in the school. We found a burnt cow inside too. We have tapes of orbs, (not camera flashes or anything, genuine orbs) We’ve heard the kids too. Going to Ellerbe made a believer out of me, who used to be against the whole haunting idea. Its not safe, and I really don’t suggest going there. We are trying to find the owner and get permission to use the school to make a music video though.

Total waste of time. I’ve heard the guy who owns the property will shoot trespassers with a paintball gun. The only thing kind of creepy about the school is the spraypainted grimreaper in the cafeteria and the cow bones spread throughout the halls. I had no encounters with ghosts or dead children. If you decide to take a trip, don’t get shot or the police called.

Triston, you wasted what little brain activity you have writing that garbage. Are you in school yet? I could spell better than that before I started school. But…..the man won’t shoot anyone with anything. He calls the Law and if you’re still there you will be arrested. Contrary to juvenile belief, you can’t LEGALLY SHOOT ANYONE just for being on your property. ONLY IF THEY COME IN YOUR HOUSE can you LEGALLY SHOOT THE BURGLAR. What if he shoots someone with a paintball and hits them in the eye and blinds them….he could be sued for everything he’s worth. Just like if a kid comes in your backyard and drowns in your pool. His parents can sue you even though the kid was in your yard without permission. I’m gonna go back out to the school one night and bring all my gear. It’ a waste of time but we’ll see if the EMF detector picks up anything or I get an EVP. Last time all I had was a thermal camera and all I saw were cows.

Triston, that was not just for you. It was for other people too who think the guy will shoot you. Amanda, I bet if you climb to the top of the water tower you WILL see how you’re going to die! lol. You’ll probably fall off the top of it or fall trying to climb it. There is an entity there that looks like a sort of jellyfish on the thermal. It is larger at the top and kinda flows into what looks like streamers at the bottom. I’ve never seen anything like it. You couldn’t see it with the naked eye. It was in the back left corner of the first row of rooms. The heat signature showed up a sort of bluish grey. That means not very hot but warm enough to be different from the rest of it’s surroundings. On the EVP we heard a crying sound like a small child. It sounded like it was saying “where’s miss Amy?” or something like that. Then it would cry some more. Very creepy. I got chills listening to it.

We’ve had two preists come out and try to bless the house in hopes of helping. There were many strange things that would happen. My son at the time was two years old and would sleep in his crib, there were times when his toys would turn on and off,His toys would move as if someone was playing with them,And no one would be near them. We set up baby monitors and nanny cams in hopes that we would catch something, And we did. I’ve been to Ellerbe about 3 or 4 times (I live in Shreveport). I’ve never seen anything paranormal there, although it is a pretty creepy place. There is satanic and vulgar grafitti on the walls and bullet holes in the doors. I plan on taking my girlfriend out there on Friday the 13th. Also, does anybody know if there is aspestos(sp?)in there? I have trouble breathing somethimes when I go there.

Hey Drake….I went to send you a message today but saw your profile was deleted so I figured I would check this site out. Im glad to see its still getting posts. I havent been back to the school yet but really want to. I posted on here awhile back ab what happened to the school….in case people dont read all these post ill give a short version of it. My mom has lived here her entire life. I asked her ab the school. Its real name is George Washington Carver School. It was a prodominantly black school and closed down bc there werent enough students to fill the school. Sorry guys nothing out of the ordinary. BUT I do think that if there is anything out there its bc of what people did after the school was closed. Satanic rituals, animal sacrafices and all the other stuff done out there prolly makes that place have some kind of paranormal activity.

James says:

June 6, 2008, 9:40 pm

Can someone post more information on the Satanic cults that supposably held rituals and sacrifices at the school? And does anyone know any information about the owner of the land that the school is on? Sometimes I hear he rides on a horse and shoots at people with a pellet/paintball/BB gun, and other times I hear stories of him shooting at poeple with real guns. Any of this true?

James, The mans name is available at the Caddo Parish Court House in the land owner records. He does not shoot at people like alot of others believe. He will call the Law on you if he sees you hanging around. As far as Satanic cults, It was never known who they were. That all stopped out there a long time ago. They began holding rituals at very public places late at night like across the street from Huntington HS and behind the shopping center Harbor Freight is in on Bert Kouns. We found a dog back there that had been sacrificed and burned. The head was cut off and the body was thrown in a deep drain. They also did this behind Oak Terrace School on 70th Street with another dog. Some people began calling them the Canine Cult but they made that up themselves. There were more locations, some in Bossier, but who’s to say if it was the same group? There are several covens and Satanic groups in the S’Port/BC area. Most are populated by wealthy business owners but the ones that go out in public and hold their rituals are usually young people that aren’t old enough to be scared of getting caught.

Okay this school is FORREAL!! Here is my story… Today (June 14,2008) me and my mom went up there to see if all the stories we heard about Old Ellerbe was true.
So we get out the car and decided to walk up to the breezeway. we get there and decide to start taking pictures. we didnt go very far into the school because of the barbwire fence that was between two poles. We then told the kids that lie within the school that we werent there to hurt or take anything from them we just wanted some pictures. Well it wasnt until we left that the unexpected happened. All of a sudden we start walking back to the car and we hear something in the bushes we turned around and nothing was there. so we took off running back to the car. When we got home we took the pictures off of the camera and that when we really got scared. In half of the pictures we took there were little kids in them. Scary. i really wanna go back and see what else we could find in that school!!

Drake says:

Drake, How are you doing? I have read all the post over the last two days and I am curious if it was you that mentioned Sligo road? I use to live in Southgate estates in Bossier, my dad still live there. Anyhow we use to ride four wheelers all around Sligo rd and I’m just curious what is it that is out there that is haunted.

As far as the school I have been to the school several times only during the day though. It was atleast 10 years ago when we would go. We never seen anything unusual. We took several pictures and I can’t remember any orbs in them. I do plan on digging them up tonight to double check. Out of all these post I can’t believe I don’t see the story I was always told. I was told the school was a private girls school and a few girls sat themselve on fire in the gym and in the gym is the burnts spot on the floor underneath one of the goals. I never believed that ****. I would love to hear back from you about some other places in shreveport/Bossier.

I’ve never been to this school. Is it really as scary as everyone says?

Drake says:

June 19, 2008, 2:10 pm

April, I don’t remember anything on Sligo Rd. There was a place off of Shed Rd. but thats a long way from Sligo. Do you know about the bell tower at Taylortown? They say some nights you can see a light in the top of it. That’s pretty close to Sligo.

Drake says:

June 19, 2008, 2:58 pm

Where Cargill Park is now behind the airport there used to be big oil storage tanks. It was called The Tank Farm back then. There was also an old grain elevator and some narrow gauge railroad track still there too. (narrow gauge is what the old steam engines ran on.) One afternoonin the middle of the hot summer someone locked a young boy up in the grain bin of the elevator. Some other kids were walking down the railroad track and heard him screaming and beating on the door. The grain bin was at the top of the elevator which was about 30 feet up. By time they got help and the cops got there the boy was dead. He suffocated from the heat. Some old friends of mine told me that if you walk down the tracks from Jewella Rd. by Taylor Rental and the Celtic Moon and go to the last house you can see on the left you can hear him screaming and beating on the door of the elevator. I’ve never been there to hear it because it’s not something I want to hear. It was terrible then and it still is to me. I hope this story doesn’t offend anyone who knew him or his family.

Does anyone on here know any information on “the lost city of Vivian”? I’ve only know a little bit about it and I plan on checking it out soon. I’m kind of addicted to urban exploraion and I’ve been to almost every “haunted” or semi-famous abandoned building in the Shreveport/Bossier area(lived here all my life. graduate of Parkway High School).

Drake says:

June 20, 2008, 7:50 am

Justin, No one seems to know where or what it was. Someone said it was an oil drilling area or something like that. Google it and read the posts on Haunted Louisiana.

april says:

June 20, 2008, 11:14 am

Justin, what year did you graduate? I would have graduated from Parkway if I would have stayed but we left in the eighth grade. I did however go to Elm Grove. I graduated in 95, just curious if we are close in age.

Drake, I’m not sure where I seen the mention of Sligo rd. When I try to find it my eyes start to cross. But, I thought it may have been you.

As far as the Taylor town tower we use to pass it everyday on the way to Elm Grove. I may be confusing what your talking about with a different landmark, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same one. It is right on the road. I never heard any story about it but it was spooky.

Do you know of some sort of tower in Shreveport close to Shreve City right off of Clyde Fant? It is behind some apartment complex’s and in a circle drive. I’m not sure what the tower was, but it’s pretty spooky to be around. Do you know any stories about it?

Justin says:

June 20, 2008, 3:52 pm

April, I graduated just recently. I went to Elm Grove too and the tower you pass on the way there is the Taylor Town Tower. The story I always heard about it is something along the lines of a bride is there waiting for her groom who never showed up. If you go there at night you can hear her cry, scream, bell ring, etc. I’ve never been to it at night because I always figured I would get there just to see an old tower and waste my time lol.

Drake says:

June 24, 2008, 7:15 am

Justin, There isn’t much on it anywhere. Looks like it might have been an old railroad depot or oil pumping station. you’re probably gonna have to ride up there and ask around a bit.

okay so again ive been here tons of times mainly because this is no more than five minutes from my house you could walk to the school from my back yard…as a kid i was never allowed to go back there because theres so many cults back there…we have cows on our land that we used to raise but my dad had to give it up because cults were stealing them and sacrifising the cows in the school he witnessed this…as far as the school being haunted i seriously have never witnessed anything scary but if you go to the school HIDE YOUR CAR cops patroll the area all hours and you will get in major trouble but i seriously wouldnt promote going out there because there are some crazy people out there!

Crystal says:

July 2, 2008, 2:03 pm

I have been to the school many many times. The old man that has that property now & has the cows is an old friend of my grandpa’s (however he has asked me not to reveal his name). He’s allowed me & my friends (only if they’re with me) to come out anytime we wish but recommends we only come during the day, & at our own risk if anyone is on the property at the time that may cause us harm. I have done countless research on that school because it always intrigued me. I have gone through newspaper articles, talked to some people that actually attended that school, and gone to the courthouse to try to find the records. My best friend’s dad is a lawyer and helped me as well. I hate to squash a good ghost story, but the school did indeed close to lack of funding and attendance. The school was neither built for black children OR white children. It was errected for the kids of the farmers that owned all the land in that area. Not as many children attended as was expected, so the school couldn’t afford to keep it going and it was closed. Like some people on this site have spoken before, all the hauntings and spirits are there because of everything that has happened in that school AFTER it was abandoned. There was no crazy janitor. No kids went missing. None were murdered and buried behind the school. None of that is true. Every inch of that school has been documented and is at the courthouse. I was just fortunate enough to know the right people in the right places to find out the truth & separate fact from fiction. Yes the place is haunted, I don’t care if you want to argue the fact or not. There are spirits on that land & what most people don’t know about the paranormal is that you are basically coming into THEIR space and causing a disruption. They are not there to kill you & a spirit can’t harm you themselves. If they want to get to you, they have to use other means to do so, but a spirit cannot drag you out of one of the hallways or slam you up against a chalkboard. The stories people tell about the history of the school are fabricated. Who wants to tell a story of a school shutting down due to poor attendance and lack of funding? That’s not exciting. So the legend of Ellerbe Road School was born and more and more has been added to this story as the years have passed. I’m sure the children growing up today will have their own far-fetched story to tell once they get older and hear the rumors and decide to check it out for themselves. Why hasn’t the school just been torn down? Once people learn that I know the owner, I get asked that question over and over. “If the cops have to keep a watch on it all the time, why don’t they tear it down and save the time and effort of keeping people out?” It’s very simple. Demolition crews cost WAAAY more money than people think. It would cost my grandpa’s friend a ton more money than he has to get that school torn down and he can’t afford it. The city would have to come in and place a bid to have it torn down. The only problem? It’s outside the city limits so the city doesn’t claim it. That school will remain out there for many many years to come, until it is so vandalized that it slowly starts disappearing. I advise no one to go out there. Not because it’s “scary”, but because there is too much debris and if you go at night, you don’t know who could be hiding, waiting to kill you and who knows what with you. Please everyone just live vicariously through the stories of those that have come before you. If you MUST see for yourself, please be careful. The old man doesn’t like people on his land because he has many cows out there and yes, some have come up missing and have been found killed on the land. Everyone please respect his wishes and stay off this property. Not only for the safety of the cows, but most importantly, YOUR SAFETY.

Hello all, Drake and all. I’m Back, it has been awhile I just got plain ‘ol disgusted with the continued Ellerbe Made up story.

I do have a question, someone mention something about the “LOST” town of Vivian?

Am I NUTS? Is Vivian now a mysterious missing town? Now that would be news to me.

The Taylor Town tower you used to could walk right up to, but it is now fenced in.

I also know all about the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Any true Shreveport natives heard of the “Doll” house? That was a made up story too, but was scary when my daddy told it too us and I remember when I was really little that my parents took us to go see their Beautiful Victorian mansion right before it was torn down if I remember due to I-20 changes or added exit or something like that. The weird thing is (I know St. Joseph’s cemetery like the back of my hand) The Doll Family are all buried in the center (On the main little road) IN St. Joseph’s Cemetery. THAT used to FREAK MY OUT as a pre-teen and teenager until I realized the story was made up.

Also in St. Josephs the monument erected for the Jesuit Priests that died from the Yellow Fever epidemic of I believe 1873, they were from Holy Trinity Catholic Church(a BEAUTIFUL Church).

My old stomping grounds were Forest Park Cemetery on both sides of St. Vincent Ave. I know it THOROUGHLY, it is beautiful and peaceful as well but nowadays, the safety RUINED by the taking over of many of my beloved neighborhoods.

Oaklawn is cool as well but one ALWAYS had to be CAREFUL there due to the Bottoms being so close in proximity. But worth the effort.

I’ll be checking back much more often, as if you sift through all of the BS postings here, then once in awhile you can find someone that TRULY has interesting tales and info on TRULY haunted Shreveport-Bossier.

Take care, hope to read a post soon from you Drake-man!!

drake says:

July 21, 2008, 1:12 pm

Hi there Charmed! Good to see you back. The same old same old here. The BS has gotten a little better. As you see, the Ellerbe school board is still in session. Now it’s Crystal’s turn to pay the fiddler, lol. So you know about St. Joseph’s. That’s cool. Some of my family are buried there. I’ve been going to cemeteries out in DeSoto Parish, mainly Stonewall, Gloster, Frierson and Grand Cane. I’ve found a few out in the woods that were surrounded by old rusty iron fences. I believe they were family cemeteries and the houses have long since rotted away. You can still see traces of where the houses were. (big trees, lilies, crepe myrtles etc…) I’ve been photographing at night and have nothing more than orbs and one misty sorta thing from Gloster. I don’t put any weight in orbs for the simple reason that there were never orbs until digital cameras and digital processing came along. I’ve got hundreds of pics from old 35mm cameras and not one orb in any of them. I can go out with my digital and get an orb in almost every pic. I think it’s the way light refracts off of dust and the way digital sensors in the camera and processing equipment see it.
The Lost City of Vivian was a place near the present day town of Vivian. It was just an old railroad depot or oil pumping station or something like that. One of these days we’re gonna have to organize a ghost hunt around here. I’ve got plenty of friends that will jump at the chance, Tara Ashley being one for sure. I’m working on finding out where an old plantaion house is in DeSoto Parish but with all the Haynesville Shale drilling going on there now it’s gonna be hard to get to unless we go in the wee hours of the morning. I’d rather go in the daylight so I can see what I’m doing, at least for the first time. So tell me more about the Doll story. I don’t remember that one. (my parents got married in Holy Trinity) Drake

Drake says:

Drake says:

July 28, 2008, 1:37 pm

Haunted LA, All I have on the tank farm is what I wrote in the story. It was a long time ago. You can still see where some of the tanks were. Going into Cargill Park on Wisteria Lane from the Jewella side, as soon as you go in the gate, there is a pond on the right. This pond is the base where one of the tanks were. If you go on in from Wisteria and keep to the right and go down to the lower baseball fields you’re real close to where the boy died in the grain elevator. Also where Walker Road ends into 70th behind the airport you can see that the ground is so contaminated that grass wont grow on it.(contaminated ground out there is very common even in the baseball park) This is where a large tank once was. There was about a three foot deep pool of tar left after the tank was removed and it was covered over with sand. My freind ran his mini bike into it once and they never got all the tar off of it. Lots of animals got trapped in it just like the La Brea tar pits in Ca. Because of the sand you couldn’t see the tar at all. There was always something going on out there. The Airport Authority controls all the land outside the fenced area of the park so you better not get caught out there. It’s a Federal offense. (National Security) I’ll see what else I can come up with.

Drake says:

C.P.R. went to the school this past Friday around noon. As I was coming out of the gym and entering the breezeway, I did hear a few children laughing and talking but only for a few seconds. My best guess is that what I was hearing is possibly residual energy from kids playing at lunch recess back when the school was open. I posted a blog and I also have alot of photos posted on the C.P.R. myspace page. There are also quite a few photos from the night investigation conducted by C.P.R. several months back but alot of them are from last Friday.

Those pics surprised me. I cant believe that the school is that overgrown with weeds. Last time I went out there it was nothing like that. I dont have the pics I took when I was out there but I still have the negatives. Ill try to get them developed and put them online.

I dont remeber who it was but someone asked ab the tower in Shreve City. Me and some friends used to go out there before they blocked the road off. Everyone used to call it the Witch’s Tower. I think its just an old smoke stack from a factory that used to be there. I dont think you can even get to it now with out walking down the road since they put those metal posts up. It used to be over grown with tress and there were 4 wheeler trails all back there.

ok, first of all the old ford with a bullet hole and a demon driving it sounds like ****, and the story about the stone table, ha yea right. me and lots of my friends have been out there over 8 times and we havent seen a stone table yet. we did hear screams and things like that but not a bell ringing or cows in the classrooms we did go out there during the day one time about 4 or so and walked out to the watertower there is tall grass and a little brick building by the tower looks like maybe an electrical room for the school. and we went into the gym about 3 in the morning and sat on the bleachers for about 20 minutes to see if we heard anything but uffortunitly we didnt the last time we did go we took a digital camera with us and randomly took pictures and there is stuff in the school you have to zoom in on the pictures and when you do you see faces and lots of orbs around but most of this is on the outside of the school and we did see some close to the road but the school is defenitly scary if you believe in ghost and spirits one time we messed up and didnt bring a flashlight so we used our cellphones for light. but there are different ways to get there but the way we took was when you get to shreveport you take the 17B exit and then you go down to 3132 exit and follow that around and youll see a sign that says ellerbe road and youll go down about 12-13 miles and youll pass a couple of caution lights and youll see 4 towers on the left you keep goin but youll have to slow down and youll see white paint on the road and the school is on the right there is a rock driveway on the left where there was an oil rig but its torn down now thats usually where we park but ive heard theres cops patrolling the place and you have to park 2 miles down the road but ive never seen cops but there was a fence up but now its torn down but you will see a couple of logs layin on the ground in front so you cant pull up in there. but if you wanna see pictures send me an email @!!!

I have just vowed to be nice from now on. Tara Ashley is a good influence on me. Has anyone read the post I made a long time ago about the intersection of 175 and Ellerbe before you get to the school? Someone needs to go out there and check this out when it cools off. I think Charmed One answered me about the black dogs standing there looking at you and the old hanging tree that’s gone now. The church is falling down and it’s one of the two original buildings left from the town. I saw some guys out there one day trying to get the windows out of it. The apparition at the intersection is more scary than anything at the school.

Tara, you can barely tell it’s a school now. The vines have grown all over the walls. If you don’t know where it is you’ll probably drive right past it. I looked at Ben’s pics. They were very good. He’s going to call me in the fall when he comes back to go to the Pea Farm. I’ll let you know and our gang can meet up with him and his wife. I haven’t been there in a very long time. I told him I’d have to wait until the nights are cold to run the snakes in before I go. Last time I was there we saw dozens of snakes around the building and in the flooded basement and it wasn’t overgrown yet like it is now. I was a bit younger and a whole lot dumber then, lol. I posted the Tank Farm story on Jonathon’s web site, Haunted La. One evening I’ll go down the tracks and listen for myself. I hope I don’t hear anything.

sorry but your facts are wrong about “satan school”. i researched the history of this school back in the mid 90’s and did many hunts out there, and the scariest thing was almost getting arrested. the school was never opened to students. in fact construction was never fully completed. there have been a few deaths out there back in the gang heydays and other assorted illegal activities that i’ve been able to verify, but 99% is just what you’d expect from a abandoned building with a urban legend drawing in kids looking for something to do.

my friends and i did our fair share of damage out there back in the old days. put up lots of grafitti and knocked all the blackboards out into the hallway down one wing. we even used it to test our homemade fireworks out there…

fun place for doing things you shouldnt, but its about as haunted as a mall bathroom.

Went out to the school last night just before the storm. Thunder was rolling across the sky. The wind was blowing through the trees and around the edges of the old building making a moaning sound that made you think of the cold wintry days to come. The rain started falling as we ran and stood under the cover. Out in the distance we could hear the lonely sounds of a cooing dove, calling to it’s fallen mate. As the wind picked up so did the rain. It began raining so hard the tree line became a blurry apparition. The sky was growing darker and we needed to get back to the truck but the lightning kept us at bay. All behind us the school began to awaken. Sounds of ghostly whispers floated into the rain as it called to the lost children that once laughed and played in it’s lap. The rain poured even harder and began to blow across the walk. It pushed us back to the edge of the wall where we didn’t want to be. A sudden bolt of lightning lit up the dusk dark sky and the thunder from it shook the very foundations under us. We could wait no longer as the building began to throb from the relentless pounding. It groaned and creeked and cried out to the heavens, ” why do you torment me so?” The rain got even harder and louder as it beat down on the school once again. Was it trying to wash the sins of the past away or was it preparing the wretched ruins to be reclaimed by the Earth Mother? At the sounds of screams we ran blindly from the comfort that others had once known into the deluge and away from the hellish punishment that was being delivered. We never looked back as we drove into the rain but we could still hear the whispers crying with the wind, calling for the love of the children again.

I grew up in Shreveport and never heard of this, whereabouts is it located?

drake says:

August 14, 2008, 8:49 am

Amanda, it’s way out Ellerbe Road almost to Hwy 1. If you go down Ellerbe you keep going past all the big houses, past Wallace Lake Dam and through the intersection of Hwy 175. It will be on your right. There is a brick column out front with some graffiti on it. you have to go slow or you’ll pass it up. Vines are growing all over it. There is a water tower out to the right of the school. Hope this helps.

I’m the biggest scaredy-cat in the world but continue to seek out “haunted” locations. He doesn’t get it but dutifully tags along. I relocated from Louisiana to NY five years ago for college. NYU was a scary place at night, especially the library. If anyone ever gets a chance they should check it out.

drake says:

August 20, 2008, 7:12 pm

Nathan, Best I can find out it was built in the late 50’s, early 60s. There is a presence out there and if you get to be there when all is quite and the cows and the land owner aren’t around, you can feel it. Most people now think it’s something that the Satanists did that causes the place to have paranormal activity. The entire area out there is shrouded with an eerie feeling. There were alot of things that actually did happen up at the intersection of Ellerbe and 175. I’ve got several posts on here about all that.
AMANDA JEAN….we’re trying to find the entrance into some tunnels under downtown Shreveport. Most were closed off and are now filled with wires but some are still open. I’ll post here if I find it. They are VERY SCARY!

april says:

August 21, 2008, 12:19 pm

Drake, tell me more about the doll family. I have never heard of that family.

What were the tunnels used for? I don’t know if I could go into some underground tunnel…sounds spooky!

Amanda-Jean says:

August 21, 2008, 5:02 pm

drake: I remember hearing something about that in high school, but we never explored that further. The awesome thing about growing up in Louisiana was that no matter where you went, it was rife in history and there was always potential for a haunting.

Drake says:

August 22, 2008, 9:42 am

The tunnels are actually storm drains. When the city did Street Scape they had SWEPCO take all the wires down from the poles and put them in the drain tunnels. There were once big doors in the alleys with stairs leading down to the tunnels but they have been replaced with huge man hole covers. Someone told me there are still a few of the doors but I haven’t been able to find one yet. One day I’m gonna go down there and walk all over and see if I can find one. We used to sneak into the Strand when it was a movie theater by going throug the tunnels and coming up in the basement. I’ve heard that they cemented most of the access doors to the buildings up but I know there are still a few left.
As for the Doll House. I was hoping to learn about it from Charmed One but she never put it on here.
AMANDA JEAN There’s always a ghost story or two floating around…no pun intended…in Louisiana. It’s a haunted place for sure. I guess because of the African Voodoo that was brought here from Haiti and Africa back in the day. Voodoo and occult stories really get my blood flowin’. I know stories about voodoo preists and preistess’ that actually cast spells on people and places right here in our area and they are still cursed to this day. I’m gonna have to open a blog site somewhere and start up a weird story forum. There are so many to tell. I know everyone has a story or two they’d probably like to tell. Maybe at I’ll look into it and post back here when I find a good place. Everyone stay in touch!

“This former school was closed due to the disappearances of several people, one being a beloved janitor. When the children went to look for him, they too disappearedâ??one by one. All that remains is a building in which all the lockers have been knocked out; in their place is a mural of the grim reaper. At night, one may hear the screams of children and the sound of a school bell.”…Ok, the only thing true about the statement above is the building with all the lockers knocked out. I am 27 and have lived in Shreveport my whole life. The school was closed down because more local high schools opened and they lost business and its burned because it caught on fire. My mom remembers when it was up and running. The grafitti that is on the walls is from bored high school kids and alleged satan worshippers that go out there. The old man that owns it will shoot at you if he catches you and the cops will arrest you for trespassing.

Pea farm is worth checking out. It’s just sort of complicated to get into if you’re going with someone who has never been before, b/c its basically walking through the woods. I’ve also heard of peoples cars getting vandalized while out there

Drake: whenever yall go to Ellerbe or the Pea farm be sure to let me know bc I wanna go. I still havent been back out to Ellerbe. I have seen some of the tunnels that Drake was talking ab but like he said they werent really tunnels anymore. If you go in the basement at 516 Soundstage there are some tunnels that lead up to the roads and the ones that dont lead up to the roads have a bunch of wires hanging down in them and they were pretty flooded and unpassable. I do know of an abandoned building downtown and how to get into it. There might be tunnels in it but when we went to check out the basement it looked like someone was living there so we left.

I’ve been to the school a few times. Last time i went i was with 5 friends. It was October 22, 2006. I remember that day because it was right after my 17th Birthday. I just recieved my licence that day and my father told me to have fun in the truck. So me and 5 friends decided to go to Ellerbe at about 9pm. All we had was a few glow sticks no flashlights. We were there for about 50 mins and didn’t see nor hear a thing. As we were walking out though that was a different story. The owner of the property drove by in a white Ford pickup truck with 1 head light out. He passed the school as we were walking out, and because we were parked right infront of the school he saw the truck. We heard the truck slow down stop and start to turn around so we took off running to the truck. Haveing heard the stories about him we were kinda scared. I got in and let me tell u 6 ppl in a small crucab Toyota Tocoma Standard is cramped lol. So i was trying to shift and speed up. By the time i got to the 4way i was goin 75 mph and was still excelerating. He was still gaining. He followed us for about 5 miles past the 4way. I remember hitting 110mph in the truck. Other then that we saw / heard nothing at the school but did have a fun time.

There are NO ghosts here. no kids died/came up missing at the school….. no “beloved janitor” ever came up missing…

The School is on PRIVATELY LEASED LAND and no one should enter the property at all. Any person or persons I catch on the property will be ARRESTED and CHARGED with criminal trespass no matter what your age, period paragraph. The old school is a dangerous place because it is not structuarally sound and it contains asbestos. There are also snakes and large wasp and hornets nests in some areas of the structure. Furthermore, the property around the school is also POSTED and anyone caught on the adjacent lands will be ARRESTED and CHARGED with criminal trespass. Removing any locks, gates, barries or and other non-entry device is also grounds for ARREST. Adult or minor, charges and punishment will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It’s all a matter of if you want to believe. Some do, some don’t. I went out there last night and no one was around, especially Tanker156. Tonight will be a good night to go. It’s supposed to be storming. I wonder if old Tanker will be there? He wasn’t there last night. I don’t know too many cops that get on web sites and tell people they will arrest them. Cops usually just wait and surprise you. Oh yeah, asbestos wont harm you if it’s not airborne. It has to be in dust form to get into your lungs. Even then it has to be a bunch of it to hurt you. Mr. O’xxxx said they were going to tear the place down soon so if you want to see it you better go now. Maybe old Tanker will hold the flashlight for you. He sure as hell can’t spell or make a decent sentence! Must be an Affirmative Action cop. I’d hate to have to read his reports. All the same, it’s a damn scary place, even in the daytime!!!!

Hex says:

January 28, 2009, 12:44 pm

OK dude look. I have lived in the shreveport/bossier area (AKA the SBC) all my life I have been to the elerbe school hundreds of times. Me and all my friends used to hang out there on a regular basis back in highschool. I know that place inside and out. There is a mural of the grim reaper I know cause I helped put it there well actualy I just tagged along the art was done by my friend (I won’t mention his name). Any way theres alot of grafiti there. There are some “satanic” groups that go there and think their doing something but in all reality they are just kids mad at mommy and daddy and they don’t know the first thing about the occult. Yes there is frequent hauntings out there but it is random and very harmless. If by chance you are lucky enough to be there when the spirits get restless it is actualy kind of cool as long as you don’t freak out and run off you could realy enjoy a great supernatural experiance. But the Point is in 1994 it looked pretty much exactly how it does now minus the grim reaper cause that was done in about 95 or 96 it was my freshman year but I can’t remember what half of the year we did it in. Any way its all burned out because it caught fire back in the 60’s or someth’n like that. And thats why it closed down. Its mostly the wall that are burned down though the actual rooms and some furniture are still intact along with the lockers in the hallway. the are several classrooms most of them still have chalk boards but all the windows are pretty much busted out. The cows yes lots of cows you will find dead ones out there because well thats what happens when cows get old or sick, old man with the shot gun, yes he is a @$$ hole I met him once don’t care to again, and you can be arrested for tresassing out there. The fabled bottom less pit to hell is actualy a man hole that leads to the sewers under the school there are 3 foot rats acctualy they are nutres but they look like rats and they are closely related. I don’t advise ever going down into the sewers though. It is pretty much set up like any regular middle school gymnasium w/ fold spectartor stands. The aditorium has a stage and the wooden floor is all burned out and pryed up. There are two locker rooms but they are completely trashed and the cages where they used to store athletic epuipment still have working locks so if your not careful you can lock your self in, but if your skinny enough you can squeeze through the holes in the cinder-block walls. There is an old electrical shed by the water tower and last time I went out there wich was about 8 years ago there was a full cow skeleton in there. The hauntings are pretty much harmless. The most dangerous thing out there are the cotton mouth vipers that hang out in the field after a good rain

April 12, 2009, 8:31 pm

Well hello everyone. I see the site is still active. That’s cool. Hi Tara, I’ll be back on line soon. I drove past he school Friday and it looked as creepy as it always does. It wasn’t too scary back before all the vines took over. It just looked like an empty school. The water tower is getting real rusty. It’s looking more hellish all the time. I sat at the intersection for a few hours but didn’t see the glowing man. I wish the hanging tree was still there. There’s no crop in the field yet but it’s plowed and ready. I hope it’s corn this year. He likes corn plants, tall and billowy. He can go back into them and disappear from sight. Maybe I’ll see him then. I heard another story about a ghost walking the road down by the observatory. Actually by the big bayou bridge. I gotta check that one out too. They tore down the old church. It was one of the last buildings left of the old town. I knew they were going to when I saw someone taking the windows out of it one day. Now all that’s left is that building where the equipment is. It was a general store once. That whole side of Hwy 175 was a nice little town before their sins destroyed it. But that’s another story! I’ve got a good pic of the old church and the big pecan tree in front that’s now justa huge stump. There’s orbs in the tree….really big ones that can’t be dust. Too bad I can’t post them on here. Tara, email me…you have my address. I’ll be back. Drake

HauntedLA says:

April 13, 2009, 12:19 pm

Drake, good to see your still here. I just went about a week ago to try and find the church but was really disappointed when it was gone. There is an interesting house off in the woods a little ways down from the church. It was hard to check out because the vegetation has grown so thick. I also saw Ellerbe and was amazed at how thick everything had gotten there was well. Although I knew it was there, it was hard to even see the actual school. The breezeway and the covering are all that’s really easy to see. Sadly, no Goat Woman at the Wallace Lake Dam either. The bridge was washed out or torn down. I did stop at the Crossroads as well, took some pictures but didn’t see anything.

The last time I went out to the dam the bridge was gone too. This had to of been a few years ago when I went. We found a way to get inside the rocked/fenced area. Inside that little building is a an elevator shaft or someting like that. You can see that it goes down to the bottom of the dam. I wouldnt recommend trying to go down though. It was a small space and didnt look very safe.

Drake says:

A correction…The tree in front of the church was a huge Sycamore. I looked at it in the orb pics again. At Wallace, on the other side of the spill water and up the hill in the woods was once a Boy Scout Camp. I’m sure the buildings are all gone by now. Back in the 70s there were still a few of them standing. You could drive across the bridge then and go up to the woods. We did lot’s of partying up there. Then we used to climb the dam, wedging our feet in the cracks of the concrete to go almost straight up the walls and then sliding back down sitting on one foot and balancing with the other, It would take out a pair of shoes real fast. I went down the dam road one afternoon a few years back to check things out and there was a photographer taking pics of a nude girl standing by the fence. What a pleasant surprise! They didn’t get in any hurry so I just sat there and watched. Much better than waiting for a crusty old spirit to show up.

The crossroads is the place to be when the crops grow tall this summer. No one will run you off from there but you better not have anything illegal in your ride. The cops might stop and check you out. I’ve found that if you get out and set a camera up on a tripod, they will usually just go on by or maybe ask a few questions without all the other hassles.

Never did make it to the Pea Farm. Maybe we’ll get there one day. I did make a few cemeteries in DeSoto Parish over the last few weeks. Nothing but a few orbs. There is one questionable image in front of a stone but I think it’s just the matrixing of a face. I’m going to old St. Joseph’s Cemetery down on Texas Ave. soon. I saw a woman walking around out there one day and there was no car that brought her there. If you’ve ever been there you know it’s no place for an elderly woman to be walking around by herself or any woman for that matter. She disappeared as fast as she appeared so if anyone wants to go, let me know. Maybe she’ll show back up.

I just checked out the map around Wallace Lake Dam. I don’t really see any signs of any type of building, but I’m sure the vegetation is so thick if it was there you wouldn’t be able to see it. It is kind of interesting to see all of the small trails/roads that wind through those woods. I wonder if the Goat Woman legend came about from the old Boy Scout huts?

drake says:

April 16, 2009, 10:05 am

HauntedLA, I don’t know too much about the Goat Woman. I’ve heard of her but that’s about it. That entire area out there is a weird place. Lot’s of UFO sightings there too. There was supposed to be a crop circle a few years ago in a corn field close to the school. We didn’t know exactly where it was supposed to be so we couldn’t find it from the ground. I wanted to get a plane and fly around but it’s too expensive these days. There’s so much Haynesville Shale activity going on now out around the school it may be a good time to do a little investigating. As long as you’re in a truck no one will know what you’re up to. You’ll blend in with all the oilfield trucks.

stephen says:

Ok, so I have grown up in Benton, LA my whole life and now I am down in Lafayette. this goes for charmed, I’m so glad you stop posting on here. You are very rude. These people dont post stuff on here because they believe it, they do it because its fun and adds adventure to their lives. I have been to Ellerbe a couple times in high school and loved it. Nothing happened but it was a fun and exciting experience. Local around the area all know about and it has been and will remain an alltime urban legend that kids will investigate for years to come. I myself will probably go back in the near future to check it out along with some other known places around Bossier and Shreveport. Great place to go to that all teenagers should go to.

I heard a story the other night from a girl who went to the Tank Farm with some others one rainy Sunday afternoon back in the winter. They said they heard the boy beating on the door and screaming. I asked where they were when they heard the noise and she said they were even with the lower baseball field so she may be telling the truth. That’s where the grain elevator was. She said some of her buds got scared and ran all the way back to the car on Standard Oil Rd, lol. I’ve got to make myself go out there one Sunday after a rain and listen. Just the thought of it gives me the shivers. I’ve started my book on the local stories so everyone can read about all this cool stuff.

Tom frank says:

I went to ellerbe last night around nine thirty. We parked in gravel right across from the school. Down the road on the left a red truck pulled into a trailer so I guess that was the owner of the property. We sat in the car while we prepared to get out. Two f my friends saw a white ghost at the school. As I opened my door I saw a black figure in the ditch close to where we were. It was walking right towards us! I put the car in gear and sped off. I want to go back and actually get out next time lol

jmiller1682 says:

May 5, 2009, 12:00 pm

hey whats up people, i have a nice story to tell. The last time i was out at Ellerbe was a few years ago. My friends and I had gotten together to go out there and investigate. We got out there, there was about 6 or 7 of us we were just walking around the school going into various parts. We were walking down the breezeway when we ran into three guys. I asked them how they were doing and they didnt say anything they looked like greaser type guys from the 50’s but they acted like they were drunk and had a weird glow to them. Thinking nothing of it we continued our tour. We went out to the watertower to climb it, my friend wanted to tag up there. While we were waiting on him to finish those three guys came up on us again. I said hello again and they still acted drunk and wouldnt respond to my questions So, they walked off again around the school my friend at this time had gotten down from the tower and we all started walking back towards the trucks. When we heard someones car alarm start going off, we ran to the cars thinking those three guys had broken into them. We saw an old f-150 type truck barrel down the highway it went a little bit down the highway and turned around in the road and sat there waiting. So we all got into our vehicles and drove out of there. We had a three car convoy people in the front me in the middle and my friend in a truck behind us in a truck. The guy driving the truck got scared and passed me. So now im in the rear with this old farm truck on my butt im going at least 90 by this time im coming up on the 4 way stop and decide to run it and when i do i look back for the truck and its gone…..hey does anyone know about a man dying in a accident out that way??? Thanks Josh.

Drake says:

May 19, 2009, 2:49 pm

I think if I saw three men glowing I’d be thinking something of it! You’ll see another glowing man at the intersection when the corn gets tall.

If there was a place for a title i would title my comment “Case Closed” i am the founder of the paranormal group “Shreveport Paranormal Investigations” after repeatedly being contacted over this case i went to the shreveport historical society and submitted for the history of suppsed “elerbee road school” case and found out that alot of the so called “history” you find online is more urban legend, actually the school was a blacks only school during the segrigation days and when they desegrigated the school, being too small, was closed and then bought by a catholic church who hoped to use it as a catholic school but their funding ran out and they closed the doors, later an electrical fire broke out and the school burned. although i have heard lots of stories that are a bit, “radical” to say the least alot of them on here im sorry to say, all thats their that me or my affiliates have found are residual nothing like you hear, if you wish to contact me more on this subject or other hauntings you may email me at or at my myspace website

As I said before, the historical society did their research and found no cases of “Children being killed” there and no other murders their besides maybe someoone dying in car accidents along the road as far as murders on the road i didnt research the whole area just the school and No no murders took place at the school

I want to know if anyone one knows if the potter rd. haunting in Doyline is true. I live in Doyline and my friend said she went out there with another friend of hers and they were in the car and they heard screaming and scratch marks on the side of the door and they left. When they got home there were scratch marks on the door. Now, I love my friend and everything but I find her story very retarted. and it has nothing to do with things I’ve found on the internet. So if you know anything about it please contact me at or

is it on priate property or is it open to the public? and if i wanted to go there how would i get there from shreveport? or is it withing driving distance of shreveport?

Sammie Suicide says:

June 6, 2009, 1:08 pm

It’s open to the public I think. It’s just a tree on the side of the road where a couple of teenagers crashed after the homecoming dance at DHS in 1970 something. I have no idea which tree cos there used to be a cross there but apparently someone stole it. Doyline is only about 30 minutes from from shreveport. But the road is on the outskirts of doyline. So its 30 minute to 45 minute drive depending on which way you go.

Shreveport Paranormal Inv says:

June 9, 2009, 4:27 pm

no not yet, if you know please let me know we are still planning a date to go, and the “bleeding” is probobly an urban legend, i’ve never heard of scientific proff of that

Drake says:

June 11, 2009, 10:28 am

Hi Tara! So what’s up with the Doyline tree? Must be a local thing. I’ve seen trees “bleed” before but it was because a woodpecker assaulted them and sap was running from the holes, lol. I’d like to check that one out too.

I see we have a new group here, Shreveport Paranormal Inv. So SPI,you went to the school and found a residual haunting? This is not significant to you? What exactly did you find? I’m curious because someone who writes off a haunting as fast as you did must have seen a tremendous amount of ghosts and anomalies in their day! Your info on the school is pretty much accurate but closing a case just because of what the Historical Society says is a little premature, eh?

Hi Drake! I was begining to wonder where you were on this lol. I was told that its a tree on Potter Rd. Some highschool kids wrecked into and died. Ill ask him and see if he knows where it is exactly. Ill email you more info ab it when I find out:)

well, i know what i saw and i was definately chased away by an old farm truck it was going as fast as i was and i was going 110 so can anyone research if there was a car accident around the school? and the 3 guys maybe were just drunk idiots and their shirts were glowing from the moonlight, but i know what i saw as for the hauntings out there. Everything gives off energy either positive or negative. If you do negative things in a certain spot that negative energy will stick to the place, i think that people have done rituals out there in a negative way and have soured the ground

Shreveport Paranormal Investigations says:

June 12, 2009, 10:39 am

honestly wouldnt doubt being chased by a farm truck as the property is owned by a farmer who will chase you away from out there, hes even been known to shoot at people, and it is illegal to be out there

Valerie says:

June 16, 2009, 3:37 am

I don’t feel like going back into all of the post to find out if the owner of the property has ever actually let people investigate the place, so has he? I understand that it’s most likely an extreme hazard to go into it and set up any sort of equipment, but if you got a real team in there ( no offense or saying you aren’t a real team to the SPI) such as TAPS to investigate it. I’m sure it’d actually just draw more attention to the place, and that is obviously not what he wants, but still it’d give some validation to the whole ” haunted ” school if it proved to be anyway. Also, Shreveport Paranormal Investigations how do you become a member of your team or let people join in on investigations?

Shreveport Paranormal Investigations says:

I’ve been out there plenty of times before and while it is very, very creepy, nothing “paranormal” has happened. I recommend going out there during the day, just because you can see everything clearly and really experience it. There is a construction site that has appeared recently right across the street, so I always park there. Going in you may see shotgun shells and bullet holes. Many people say it is because Farmer John shoots at anybody that trespasses. While he does shoot, he only shoots sand pellets that get under your skin and stings really bad for awhile. It has not happened to me, but it has to my friend. You’ll see a lot of graffiti, alot of them demonic and telling you to go ahead and turn around now. It kind of gives the school and eerie feel. Whenever you get to the main hallway, there are hallways that lead into classrooms on your left and right. Those to me are the scariest because they are the darkest and you never know whats in the classrooms ahead of you or behind you. Its creepy to see the chalkboards still up because it is a reminder of what this place had once been. The main hallway also leads to the auditorium and gym. One time, a friend and I went into the gym, where the basketball goals are still upstanding and bleachers are somewhat visible and standing, and a huge white owl flew out from behind the basketball goals. It was kind of creepy, but nothing to special. There is the locker room, which is pretty scary as well. All the lockers are overturned, broken, or open, and is a reminder as well that this place used to be a school. The first time I went about five or six years ago and there was a cow hanging at the end of the main hallway. They have since removed it and the last time I went, there were no cows. We also went into the circuit room, which is to the left I think when you reach the end of the hallway. You have to walk through alot of brush and there is not an easy way to get down to it so be careful. Theres nothing special in that room except for the remains of what used to be a control room along with a lot of graffiti. Unless you’re just super curious and cannot stand not going, I would not recommend wasting your time to see it. I’ve never been to the water tower, but there are people who go and climb it. Thats something else I wouldn’t do because its all rusted up and looks really dangerous. But supposedly if you look down when you get to the top, you can see the way you’ll die. Cops do go around there a lot because it is a hot-spot in Shreveport for teens. They will make you leave but I’ve never heard of anybody getting arrested for being there. There are a bunch of sketchy people that go out there to perform sadistic type rituals, so I wouldn’t go if there was another car there or at night. I wouldn’t call Ellerbe Road School dangerous, but I would take a lot of precautions while going out there and take at least a couple of other people out there with you. While I’m not so sure about the story, I have looked it up and read about it on a legit looking website. According to it, the school was shut down due to lack of funds. But I have heard stories that the janitor went missing and the kids went to go find him. When they eventually did, the janitor either herded them into the gym or the locker room and lit them on fire. There was another story that said that the school caught on fire and some children did not escape. None of those are true except for the first because it was first George Washington Carver School where it was originally all black and then integrated. Due to lack of enrollment and lack of funds, it shut down and then a college related to The Baptist Tabernacle opened. It shut down as well due to lack of funding. So there you have the real story! Anybody that goes out there, be careful but have fun!

Jessica says:

July 15, 2009, 11:41 am

So yeah Im glad to see the charmed one gone as well since he was in no way charming. There is no need to be so rude to people trying to have fun and spread around fun scary stories.
Ive been to Ellerbe School twice in my teenage years. I dont know about haunted, but it’s definitely a trip to experience. Very run down, very spooky. But I was mostly scared of being busted by the cops. Im a pansy and do NOT want to get arrested! Though our second trip there after being inside the school for only 10 minutes we saw a great beam of light shining and knew we were caught. We trecked back up to our car to meet the cop waiting for us. We didnt get into trouble, i think he rather enjoyed trying to scare us though. Warning about coyotes and even making a ‘call’ to them! Seriously, this cop must have been bored. He ran all our information and luckily we were all clean so he let us go.
But I have to say, SERIOUSLY that i have driven by Ellerbe school AT LEAST 400 times. AT LEAST. It’s a wonderful drive for… enjoying… a high state of mind. lol, for lack of a better and less blunt way of saying things. But really, HUNDREDS of times. Drake Ive been stopped at those crossroads at every time of day and night and never once experienced anything supernatural. Not saying it’s bogus, but it seems that with the amount of times i was there i would have noticed SOMETHING. Also never saw anything creepy around the school while driving by at night. Maybe a red moon every now and then, but big whoop.
Ive been to The Pea Farm once a few years ago with a group of friends and plan to go back sometime. It was really very interesting. VERY creepy just bc of all the small rooms that anyone could be lurking in. Ive heard the women’s pen located further back in the woods is the actual haunted site, but who’s to know for sure? Ive never even seen it. But I hope to. Again though being 23 now, I really dont want tresspassing on my clean record.
I see all these people with claims of pictures of orbs and clowns and dark figures but no one has yet to give info on a location we can view them!! I really am interested in any spooky pics. I do believe in ghosts, but I guess the skeptic/terrified part of me tries to deny it lol.
Lastly, my boyfriend’s mom just told me the other day about going out to Scottsville Texas (at least i think it’s Scottsville, i could be wrong, I’ll find out) to a cemetery there that really has activity. Though all she told me was to watch the angel as you go in and as you leave. She has seen the angel with arms crossed, arms raised, NO ARMS, arms behind her back… But this lady, I think, has this kind of activity drawn to her. She told me many other encounters she had that scared me to death.
But yes, please, anyone that takes some time to send out some pictures or a link to some about ellerbe, would be very cool!
Thanks guys. happy ghost hunting! 8)

Jessica, I’m 51 years old and have been ghost hunting for MANY years, way before TAPS, or any other ghost hunter groups. Back then, if you said you believed in ghosts, people wouldn’t even talk to you any more.

It’s been quite some time since we saw the apparition at the Crossroads. The hanging tree that stood there is long since gone and now they’ve even torn down the next to the last building of the old town, the King Solomon Church. They even cut the huge Sycamore tree down as well. Like I said about the crossroads, you had to sit there for hours and even then, you may not see anything. That’s what ghost hunting is all about. They don’t appear on que, you gotta wait ’em out. They didn’t plant corn there this year. Corn always seems to attract more apparitions for some reason. There’s a roadside memorial now right there where you park . I guess someone else bought the farm at the crossroads. Could be another haunting there now along with the other one.

David says:

August 17, 2009, 8:08 pm

I have been there, and yes there is something going on! But all the “lore” on the internet is basically completely false! Our investigation continues….but the real story is much more mundane!

Michael says:

September 2, 2009, 9:01 am

Myself and a couple of military buddies of mine visited the old Ellerbe School last night. About 50 yards away from the school lives an old man who currently resides in an old truck bed trailer with a generator powering 2 overhead floodlights. Upon parking a good distance away from the school, the man confronted us and told us that if we were planning on entering the school, that he strongly suggested not to. He told us that the stories of the hauntings were not true, and that the school was never even used due to aspestos. We knew right off the bat that his story didnt add up. So we got back in the truck, cracking jokes about the old man, joking that he must be the old janitor from the school, and parked further down the road. We then headed back towards the school jumping the fences and entering the building. Initially the walk through the school was almost impossible, due to the abundance of waste and garbage that inhabit the floor of the main hallway. However at one point we heard slow paced footsteps coming towards us. So we quickly turned off our flashlights and ducked by the wall. When the footsteps pace began to pick up, we all voted to head back to the truck.

Drake says:

September 16, 2009, 3:15 pm

Me and Ben from Cenla will probably go back to the school this fall, if it’s still there. I also heard, and posted here, that the owner plans on tearing it down but the asbestos will require HAZMAT protection and will be costly so I bet he just let’s it rot to the ground. It’s almost completely covered by trees and vines. I went by there a month or so ago and there were oilfield trucks parked all over where the circle drive used to be. They were even up on the dirt the man dumped on the drive to keep people out. It would be very easy to get in there now. Just don’t park anywhere, have someone drop you off and pick you up.

I 1st heard about this school from my boyfriend who has lived in the area all of his life. He told me a story of what had happened to him and a friend out there. It is down a road in the middle of the country, very secluded. He said he and his friend went out late at night. They were just walking through the school when they heard weird sounding footsteps. They turned around and saw something that looked like a goat, but it’s eyes were bright red w/out flashlight. It continued to walk toward them and they began to run. They stopped to see if it was still there and it appeared just in front of them. Every corner they turned in this torn up school the thing would appear. They finally made it to their car and never looked back.
Years later, out of curiosity, a bunch of us got together after getting daquiris and headed out there. We mostly scared each other and were too loud to hear anything but each other. It is a very scary place and the cops do show up shortly after arriving. They told us that there has been cult rituals at the school and it is not a safe place to be.

elderbe school, is bunk if you ask me, i have never researched anything bad happening out there, bad location = bad financing = abandoned building, That gyn is pretty errie, I dont like the gym, i always get the felling i’m being watched in there mainly when standing in those vent openings in the back cornor. cows are the main haunts out there, but hey i have picked up some free flashlights left behind by the freaked out tennies. other haunts, bell tower seems real, abondened prison is cool, threw a party out there once, it seems to have activity, caught some orbs or streaks on film. The womens building out there is scary as sh- poop! and i think is very active, felt the ice chills, others seen imiages., heard wispering, old cemetary downtown is a good haunt too, wispering, electronic interference, Take the girls to the cemetary to get them worked up, one time i saw a cop pick up a hooker and go park in there!!

Yes drake is right about the other side of the bridge and up the hill cos we used to drive a car up it,and there are a few old concrete picnic tables and u can tell what once used to be old barbque grills we used to party there in the nineties…I dunno how u get over there now….Im sure there is a way though….

This is to Drake:is there a way u can obtain photos of the school when it open/I live in New Orleans now 4bout 10yrs grew up in s’port tho and if I had a dolla4evrytime ive been to that school…man, I could prolly buy that landowner out lol. I always made sure I brought my shotgun w/me wen I went cuz we used to shoot that place the F$$k up..hek im sure a good portion of the shell casings on the ground belonged to us.Me and some friends ended up having to stay the night there one time cuz the truck wouldnt start…well we finally got it started at around dawn….but I havent been ther since the nineties.I would go to the courthouse or Lsus myself but I live in NO now &dont get up there too much…So please it would be awsome if u could somehow obtain pics of it wen it was open….oh and I do remember the abandoned campsite on top of the hill on the other side of wallace lake dam theres some old concrete picnic tables and barbq grills i remember…but I hear that bridge is gone now …but im sure theres more than plenty of ways to get to it.Another scary &very dangerous we used to go to wen I lived there was the in the control house in the old swingbrige over clyde fant u no the bridge next to veterans park BUT IF U WALK ON THAT BRIDGE WATCH UR STEP those tracks get to be 2ftgaps in between and WATCH UR STEP WEN U GO UPSTAIRS TO THE CONTROL ROOM but yeah that would make some great photos its prolly alot easier to enter the bridge on the bossier side and the old control room is nearest to the bossier side GOOD LUCK!!!IF U TRY IT ! but about those school pics Im only seeking after pics wen that school was open there the only pics of it I wanna see..ill check this site everyday to see ur answer since Ive just discovered this site 2day

This is to Brandy; No im afraid this particular school is in no way Agnew and town country day school,A:this is not a schoolhouse structure. B: This particular school was closed in ’77. C:Agnew and town country day school is on facebook w/ more than plenty of photos of Agnew and town country day school, and yes it the structure does resemble somewhat of a school house, which is a common look on most country day and private schools….no its not the same school but however alot of people of your generation think that it is because its on ellerbe and it was a well known school during its time….this school that this site is based on was barely even a school cos it was in the middle of nowhere. Its built of white colored bricks and is your typical 1950s 1 story school look to it like Ridgewood or Youree.

Nolaboy, this is from Matt’s myspace page…Cenla Paranormal Research under his photos of Ellerbe School This is a photo of the school when it was new, in 1957.

That’s the pathway.

You can get to the other side of the dam from the next road past the dam road. Go over the bayou and then walk through the woods up the hill. It’s the only way I know of unless you’re in a boat.

I drove past Ellerbe last night and I saw a very dim glow coming from the north side of the school. I tried to get a pic of it but it was too dark and foggy. There’s so much traffic on the road now you can’t stay stopped for long and I had to drive on before I wanted to. It may have been someone in the school with a light but it just sort of hung there and was bluish in color. This is the first time I’ve seen this at the school. I turned around and went back but I didn’t see it again. Strange indeed.

To NOLAboy: The ampitheather your talking ab is still partially there. Ab a year ago I went out there. You have to take some of the old paths to get to it but its still there! One of the platforms is almost covered in water. You can see it sticking out of the water. The platform that burned down is still there though. All thats left of it is the burnt platform. As for the control room over clyde fant, that is one scary walk! I havent been there in years bc Im not as brave as I used to be. If your on that bridge when a train comes across you better hold on bc it is VERY shakey! I also havent been out to Wallace Lake dam in a long time. I went out there when the bridge was still there and went across it. We walked around for a while but there wasnt really anything left, just tress and grass. Maybe we werent looking in the right place but we couldnt find anything. I went out there since the bridge is gone and couldnt find a way to get across the dam. We did find a way to get inside the fenced area. The little building inside the fence area was unlocked and you could look down inside the dam. Unfortunalty I did not have my camera and still regret that! One day I plan on going back out there just to see what it looks like now. Hope some of this info was usefull:)

To Drake: All I have found ab that building I was telling you ab off HWY 1 is that it is Hanna School. I found some pics of it on Do you know anything ab it?

Nolaboy says:

December 14, 2009, 2:12 pm

This is to Tara:yes the amphitheater platform is still there and overgrown and theres a few trails that lead up to it but when I was a child that thing was cool looking cuz it had a massive (typical amphitheater)wooden top to it,the over hang was prolly a story and a half tall. When your facing the pond(u no like ur standing on the asphalt bike trail that runs in front of the pond)and off to the right bank that was the old pier leading up to it (the amphitheater itself)I used to ride my bike on the pier and all over the stage,it was neat. But yeah if I could score an old photo of it the way it looked then,it would make my day.And thank you much 4 writing me back, hope to read from u or anyone else on this page soon!!

To NOLAboy: The pier that your talking ab is pretty much under water now. All that I can be seen is the higher points on the pier. Mainly just the top posts from it. I dont recall there being much left of the trail either. Youcan tell there used to be one but it has all be broken and grass is grown in the cracks of it now. Ill have to make a trip out there sometime and try to get some pics for once. I always seem to forget my camera when I go on these random explorations lol.

I’ve been doing some research on the Ellerbe School. There are many different stories as to what happened out there. The most intriquing part is the story of the fire in the gym. By looking at the present photos, there is no evidence of a fire or one large enough to kill multiple people rapidly. Also when you look at the school on Google Earth, the roof shows no sign of a fire either. Please don’t get me wrong, I am really interested in the Paranormal and haunted places. I am in no way calling anybody a liar either. All of my friends that have gone out there have different stories, the school bells, screams, flashes or light. I have been out there and experienced nothing. Please if anyone has very recent photos, please share them.

My last name is Inman and I dont care who sees them. So check it out. Im going out every week to catch phenomenons. I lived in a house with a ghost before, so Im a strong believer. There are so many places in Shreveport to see.S,port municipal, Oakland cemetery, C.e. Byrd, Parkway, Austin place manor, ellerbe of coarse, the old jewish cemetary off Mansfield, pea farm, tank farm. Chicago club, my old house on Meadow. It goes on and on and thats for any city. I have been to Ellerbe Rd. School before. I am 51 years old now and when I was 34 we went out there. It was around midnight because we thought with that being the witching hour that it would be the more likely time that whatever was going to happen…would happen. This was back before the cops started patrolling regularly so we weren’t bothered by them. We were the…inside the buildings ad grounds for quite a while…waiting for something…anything…to happen. All we saw was a lot of cow **** and graffiti on the walls. And of course there were noises and shadows. There always is and that’s ANYWHERE you go at any time. Nothing ever happened. We have gone back several other times and nothing ever happens. It is simply that people made up a scary story about the place and you go out there and your mind gets over stimulated and you see and hear things that you really aren’t seeing OR hearing. Trust me…none of what is purported to have happened in that school did not happen. It simply closed because it was too far out to warrant sending kids there and the budget wouldn’t allow it. So it closed. Then someone set it on fire and it sustained some damage. That’s all. The old man who owns the land just keeps cows out there. Sodont get your self in trouble by going out there. It’s not worth it.

I went out there very recently. August of 2010. Nothing super strange happened. It was kinda eerie. I will say though, before I knew anything of the school burning I could smell a strong burning smell from pretty far from the school. And there was no sign of fire anywhere around. But, then I also hear the school was never burnt so I was probably just tripping. There were a few orbs in the pictures we took… but nothing major. We didn’t go in because the grass out there was probably taller than any of us… all we could really see in the photos or in person was the white brick tower thing with the notice posted on it. We didn’t hear anything strange or see any cops. Buts it definitely worth checking out… if for nothing else but to kill boredom. Just be careful! Wanna go someplace really creepy? Check out the old pea farm!

I also seen alocker room full of kids of all ages. They were all burnt and when they turned around and looked at me they started to scream “Help me!” I dont remember leaveing the school. The next thing I remember was being back home and being mad. I went to bed that night but couldnt sleep. I opened my eyes haveing the feeling I was being watched. A couple of years ago my friends and I went. We didn’t go inside because we were too scared. (There really is an old guy who will shoot trespassers.) But we did hear screaming and when we were in our car, my friend Abby and I looked in the back window of my my friend Tiffany’s explorer (we were in the last seat) and we saw a face. We also got followedby a car intil we reached the end of the road. We were all scared out of our minds because we thought we were goning to be sacrafised. This site didn’t mention it, but there are also stories of a blood crazed cult practicing rituals there. Of course there could be other possibilities. If your loking for a scare just get some directions and go. You really can’t take some people’s word for what happens, cause the stories about it are all diffrent.

Emily says:

July 14, 2012, 8:53 pm

I just wanted to add that when you go be carefull and bring a flashlight. Also please refrain from tagging the walls. It might be amusing for you but its called destruction of private property to the cops that are usually found there. I’m also gonna note that we might have imagined the face and someone could have been messing with us when we heard the scream. That would explain why a car followed us. But if you still wanna check it ou,t go for it. If you wanna go some place really haunted theres about a million other places.

JEH says:

June 27, 2013, 4:26 pm

Research the existence of portals or vortexes. These are supposedly doorways into other worlds or dimensions. These doorways don’t stay in one place all the time, they change positions according to seasons and sometimes celesial positioning. As we all know the moon has a lot to do with tidal waves and how many people become a bit more erotic or aggressive during a full moon…the portal/vortex theory might have some credibility. This will definitely explain why some people have subtle or extreme experiences of hauntings while others have no experiences at all at Ellerbe. It all depends on “when” you go when the portals/vortexes are in position in or around the school…and sometimes not at all. This is true for EVERY haunted house or facility or territory. The satanic practices of various cults that understand their “crafts” will know that the positioning of the stars and such are VERY important for the successful execution of ritualistic practices. This also includes the work of “numbers” or numerology. The “ripples” of such rituals that might have opened portals will follow the same disciplines of timing – hence seasonal changes and such – so the satanic activities will time themselves accordingly. As for ghostly which is SEPARATE, demonic rituals were probably performed because of the portal/vortex locations that are strong in the Ellerbe area. These dimensional fluctuations could also be a possible reason why the school was unsuccessful in its hey day. So don’t discount what some people might have experienced and what some have not.

Christy Hutchinson says:

August 6, 2013, 1:15 pm

Ok if you perform demonic rituals and say you love or believe in GOD then you better ask GOD for forgiveness because that is a sin. When you do that you are basically worshiping the devil. Go to church. (Smh) anyways I went by their but there were oil field workers out there that night and we didn’t get to go look.. but I’ve went somewhere that was haunted and it was a kkk building down from my gmas house and we sall all the stuff out there and it was dark and we heard a kid crying and I was going to go in the darkest room because Boone would go with me and It stank bad and as I was about to walk in I heard something loud and walking and I looked back at my friend after jumping and she had the look I did and we took off running it scared me. My grandpa used to tell me when I was a kid not to go by there because he said the men on the horses would get me and I never knew what he meant but I know that place is haunted.

The true story of why this school was closed was because bombs went of in each building. But the disappearance is about the jonatoir was mulasting students. And him and 3-4 students disappeared. Then after a while like in matter of days-weeks the bombs were set off in each building. Killing a bunch of kids and teachers. And that place is haunted. I been there a bunch off times. I was in there on night and my friends left in the car called me and my friend and screaming on the fone. Next thing ik i see i pale white girl full bodied with a scared look and i ran as soon as she took one step towards me. And one time we were just sitting in car with a vioce recorder on and we stayed silent. We sat there for almost an hour. When we went home and listened to it a older man’s vioce started talking. He said-i am the jonatior. I clean and take care of this school. You should be here. Then few mins later he said -you must leave. The flames are getting higher and higher. Then it hit me. He must of been the one who set off the bombs in the school. He had access to every were in that school. H

My boyfriend went up tyo ellerbe with an ex of his and he said that right when they walked through the main doors she fainted and fell out. When he got her to come to she had long scratches all down her back. He also had a few short ones on his arms. He said they saw a little boy walking down the hallway, with the janitor following close behind. the janitor saw them and came after them. he said he never wants to go back
