Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Old Elerbe Road School

Shreveport, Louisiana

This former school was closed due to the disappearances of several people, one being a beloved janitor. When the children went to look for him, they too disappeared–one by one. All that remains is a building in which all the lockers have been knocked out; in their place is a mural of the grim reaper. At night, one may hear the screams of children and the sound of a school bell.

I want to know if anyone one knows if the potter rd. haunting in Doyline is true. I live in Doyline and my friend said she went out there with another friend of hers and they were in the car and they heard screaming and scratch marks on the side of the door and they left. When they got home there were scratch marks on the door. Now, I love my friend and everything but I find her story very retarted. and it has nothing to do with things I’ve found on the internet. So if you know anything about it please contact me at http://www.myspace.com/hardcorekittysaysrawr or meraxes_misfit88@hotmail.com

is it on priate property or is it open to the public? and if i wanted to go there how would i get there from shreveport? or is it withing driving distance of shreveport?

Sammie Suicide says:

It’s open to the public I think. It’s just a tree on the side of the road where a couple of teenagers crashed after the homecoming dance at DHS in 1970 something. I have no idea which tree cos there used to be a cross there but apparently someone stole it. Doyline is only about 30 minutes from from shreveport. But the road is on the outskirts of doyline. So its 30 minute to 45 minute drive depending on which way you go.

Did yall ever find out which tree it is? My bf lives out there in Doyline and he told me ab this tree before. I could ask him if he knows which one it is. My bf heard that if you go out there on the night the wreck happend the tree is supposed to bleed. Dunno if thats true or just an urban legend but just thought Id add that to the story.

Shreveport Paranormal Inv says:

June 9, 2009, 4:27 pm

no not yet, if you know please let me know we are still planning a date to go, and the “bleeding” is probobly an urban legend, i’ve never heard of scientific proff of that

Hi Tara! So what’s up with the Doyline tree? Must be a local thing. I’ve seen trees “bleed” before but it was because a woodpecker assaulted them and sap was running from the holes, lol. I’d like to check that one out too.

I see we have a new group here, Shreveport Paranormal Inv. So SPI,you went to the school and found a residual haunting? This is not significant to you? What exactly did you find? I’m curious because someone who writes off a haunting as fast as you did must have seen a tremendous amount of ghosts and anomalies in their day! Your info on the school is pretty much accurate but closing a case just because of what the Historical Society says is a little premature, eh?

Hi Drake! I was begining to wonder where you were on this lol. I was told that its a tree on Potter Rd. Some highschool kids wrecked into and died. The tree/area they wrecked into is supposed to be haunted. Like ghostly figures and the tree “bleeding” I havent ever been to it but my bf lives out there and told me ab it. Ill ask him and see if he knows where it is exactly. Ill email you more info ab it when I find out:)

I never said I caught anything I said my affiliate whome is actually a mutual friend we have Drake, he didnt “catch” anything he experianced something residual he said he “heard” the sound of kids playing as if at recess and it was during the time they would have had recess at school. but no he didnt catch anything at all no evps he caught orbs but as i HOPE we all know is mostly bugs and dust but me i want hard evidence that even the most hard skeptic cant debunk and all the stories i have heard of elerbee school can be narrowed down to 2 things “imagination” or “prank” unless its a hoax on the story tellers part, which i had one guy once before tell me a story of the grim reaper flying at him out there im no skeptic by any point i have experianced many things but nothing like out there, and ive had a demon follow me home once… but out there i believe its residual but nothing like what you read and by “case closed” by my stance is i believe i know whats out there and im satisfied with my stance, its either “residual” or a “man made ghost” if you dont know what that is email me drake, cause C.P.R. wants us to meet anyway lol shreveportparanormalinv@gmail.com

well, i know what i saw and i was definately chased away by an old farm truck it was going as fast as i was and i was going 110 so can anyone research if there was a car accident around the school? and the 3 guys maybe were just drunk idiots and their shirts were glowing from the moonlight, but i know what i saw as for the hauntings out there. Everything gives off energy either positive or negative. If you do negative things in a certain spot that negative energy will stick to the place, i think that people have done rituals out there in a negative way and have soured the ground

Shreveport Paranormal Investigations says:

June 12, 2009, 10:39 am

honestly wouldnt doubt being chased by a farm truck as the property is owned by a farmer who will chase you away from out there, hes even been known to shoot at people, and it is illegal to be out there

Valerie says:

June 16, 2009, 3:37 am

I don’t feel like going back into all of the post to find out if the owner of the property has ever actually let people investigate the place, so has he? I understand that it’s most likely an extreme hazard to go into it and set up any sort of equipment, but if you got a real team in there ( no offense or saying you aren’t a real team to the SPI) such as TAPS to investigate it. I’m sure it’d actually just draw more attention to the place, and that is obviously not what he wants, but still it’d give some validation to the whole ” haunted ” school if it proved to be anyway. Also, Shreveport Paranormal Investigations how do you become a member of your team or let people join in on investigations?

Shreveport Paranormal Investigations says:

Well as I said the man does not want people out there number one and number two when you contact him he will tell you “there nothing out there and i dont believe in ghosts” and number three he will hang up on you lol thats the story ive been told by a friend of his who works with me at my real job. And Valerie to Join my group all you have to do is first email me and then i will give you further directions my email is shreveportparanormalinv@gmail.com and me i haven’t investigated the school cause i will not go somewhere im not wanted, i have legal paperwork that has to be filled out before i go on private property, so yes val we are a “real group” as you put it lol

Me and some buddies went to the old school. we heard some things and saw some things. the story of the land owner shooting at you is not true. as we were in the building we say a spotlight shining in on us. i walked outside to see who it was. it was the land owner. we talked for about 30 minutes. he said he didnt care that we were out there just be careful. he also said he is fixing to turn the school over to the school board. they will probably tear it down. he was a pretty cool guy. im gonna go back out there. it is awsome.

Shreveport Paranormal Investigations says:

June 19, 2009, 11:13 pm

didnt happen to get his name and number either or or both did you? i will go out there but only with permission and him to sign our paperwork as i said i am legal about how i do it and will not do it without those
