I’ve been doing some research on the Ellerbe School. There are many different stories as to what happened out there. The most intriquing part is the story of the fire in the gym. By looking at the present photos, there is no evidence of a fire or one large enough to kill multiple people rapidly. Also when you look at the school on Google Earth, the roof shows no sign of a fire either. Please don’t get me wrong, I am really interested in the Paranormal and haunted places. I am in no way calling anybody a liar either. All of my friends that have gone out there have different stories, the school bells, screams, flashes or light. I have been out there and experienced nothing. Please if anyone has very recent photos, please share them.

Tara, I don’t know anything about that school except for going past it on the old road to Natchitoches. I’ll dig around and see what I can come up with. I know some people in Powhatten that can help me. Happy New Year!!!

I went out there at midnight with 3 of my friends and yes it is very spooky but mainly because you freak your own self out. we also went back during the day one time which was even creepier because you could see everything!!

Charmed one, I went to Oakland Cemetery last night and took some pictures. It is a nice cemetery and now that most of bottoms have been torn down it is alot safer. I had some weird anomalies in pictures. I debunked most as glares and reflections but there are a couple that are unexplaned. You can see them on my facebook page. My last name is Inman and I dont care who sees them. So check it out. Im going out every week to catch phenomenons. I lived in a house with a ghost before, so Im a strong believer.There are so many places in Shreveport to see.S,port municipal, Oakland cemetery, C.e. Byrd, Parkway, Austin place manor, ellerbe of coarse, the old jewish cemetary off Mansfield, pea farm, tank farm. Chicago club, my old house on Meadow. It goes on and on and thats for any city. America is full of violence and crimes of murder. Theres alot of unfinished business and lost souls.

I have been to Ellerbe Rd. School before. I am 51 years old now and when I was 34 we went out there. It was around midnight because we thought with that being the witching hour that it would be the more likely time that whatever was going to happen…would happen. This was back before the cops started patrolling regularly so we weren’t bothered by them. We were the…inside the buildings ad grounds for quite a while…waiting for something…anything…to happen. All we saw was a lot of cow **** and graffiti on the walls. And of course there were noises and shadows. There always is and that’s ANYWHERE you go at any time. Nothing ever happened. We have gone back several other times and nothing ever happens. It is simply that people made up a scary story about the place and you go out there and your mind gets over stimulated and you see and hear things that you really aren’t seeing OR hearing. Trust me…none of what is purported to have happened in that school did not happen. It simply closed because it was too far out to warrant sending kids there and the budget wouldn’t allow it. So it closed. Then someone set it on fire and it sustained some damage. That’s all. The old man who owns the land just keeps cows out there. Sodont get your self in trouble by going out there. It’s not worth it.

I went out there very recently. August of 2010. Nothing super strange happened. It was kinda eerie. I will say though, before I knew anything of the school burning I could smell a strong burning smell from pretty far from the school. And there was no sign of fire anywhere around. But, then I also hear the school was never burnt so I was probably just tripping. There were a few orbs in the pictures we took… but nothing major. We didn’t go in because the grass out there was probably taller than any of us… all we could really see in the photos or in person was the white brick tower thing with the notice posted on it. We didn’t hear anything strange or see any cops. Buts it definitely worth checking out… if for nothing else but to kill boredom. Just be careful! Wanna go someplace really creepy? Check out the old pea farm!

we went out there its not haunted at all. when i was in high school we went out there all most every weekend. the only thing out there is vandalized property, and spray paint on the walls from the high school kids that have been going out there for the past 30 years. and if you here nioses ITS PROBABLY ALL THE COWS WALKING AROUND AFTER ALL IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMEONES COW PASTURE.JUST A WARNING THE ONLY THING THAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU OUT THERE IS GETTING IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW, OR RUNNING INTO THE KIND OF PEOPLE YOU DONT WONT TO RUN INTO,THERE HAS BEEN MURDERS AND RAPES OUT THERE. IN THE OLD DAYS THERE WAS A CULT THAT DID RITUALS IN THE GYM WERE THE BIG HOLE IS IN THE FLOOR THE POLICE FOUND THE BODY OF A YOUNG GIRL IN THE GYM SHE HAD BEEN RAPED AND MURDERED..WE WENT OUT THERE ONE NIGHT AND THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY HELD US UP AT GUN PIONT,WHEN A CAR CAME BY HE LOOKED AT IT AND WE TOOK HIS GUN FROM HIM AND THROUGH IT AS FAR AS WE COULD THEN GOT OUT OF THERE AS FAST AS WE COULD,,SO IF YOU DO DECIDE TO GO OUT THERE DONT GO WITH OUT ANY BOYS WITH YOU, YOU GIRLS NEED TO STAY AWAY FROM THERE IF YOU ARE GOING ALONE REMEMBER IT IS IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE AND NO ONE WILL HERE YOU SCREAM

Hi. My Dad rents that land that the school is on. Ive never been in the school myself but my dad was setting a deer stand up out the one day and he sayed its not haunted. This was in the day and he doesnt really believe in ghosts and stuff like that. I do but ive never been in the school but i shot my first deer right by it. I was little and thot it was just a school. Obviously its not from what ive heard here in shreveport. I got my daddys personal assistant to drive me past it and everything on it is dead. Ive seen deserted places becuz, i meen its shreveport for heaven sake! But this place is deserted. Its a really cool thing to look at.

I know by fist hand exsperince that the old Ellerbe school is really haunted and controlled by something that is evil. I have seen a girl get possested by the janitors spirit. I also seen alocker room full of kids of all ages. They were all burnt and when they turned around and looked at me they started to scream “Help me!” I dont remember leaveing the school. The next thing I remember was being back home and being mad. I went to bed that night but couldnt sleep. I opened my eyes haveing the feeling I was being watched. All I seen was kids from the school standing around my ned. I screamed and they were gone.
