Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Old Farmhouse

Smyrna, Tennessee

Long ago, a doctor and his wife lived in the farmhouse. Tragically the wife fell ill and her husband vowed to take care of her. The woman died, however. Devastated, the doctor hanged himself. It is said that on some nights one may see a man in a white laboratory coat walking around the grounds of the farm.

I live right down the street from “monkey woman bridge”. Loving ghostly things i am not trying to say its not true but nothing has ever happened to me on it. Too much traffic anymore to stop on it but have heard many stories about it. I have been driving over the bridge for 12 years now and have always gotten spooked by it but nothing to date has taken place. The bridge is very short and has a river underneath it. The name of the road has not changed and is very spooky at night. The unfortunate thing is unless you know that that is the bridge you will drive right over it and never know. Good hunting all.

Pft, that’s a fable. I lived in Windsor Downs apartment complex for a year, right beside where this “haunting” is. I went to the farm with my dad a couple of times – we didn’t use the road, there’s a shortcut near the tennis court. All I saw were horses and a dog, not to mention loads of cats. Someone lives there because my dad knows him from where he use to work. I went inside once to have breakfast with the guy (I’m not going to realease his name in order to preserve his privacy) along with my dad, and my father had apparently heard this too so he asked him about it jokingly. The guy confirmed that it was false and started laughing at what people believe nowadays.

Oh, just so that everyone knows where this is just so they can see how crazy this idea is, it’s kinda next to/behind Windsor Downs apartments located on 1001 Mason Tucker Drive. The apartments are right across from the YMCA. And if you don’t know where the YMCA in Smyrna is.. Google it! c:

I grew up in a haunted house in lavergne, built in the early 40’s. on old jefferson pk. parents sold it in 95, wonder if it is still inhabited. Family and friends experienced many things there. The man that built it, went crazy and died there a few yrs before we moved there. It had been empty for yrs. We also found civil war relics in the field after plowing for garden. old cemetary beside the lot also. Lots of noises, lights and neighbors seeing things when we werent home. I would like to know if the people that have lived there had any experiences. Last i heard it was grew up, and the swimming pool had trees in it.

The old bridge off one mile lane is blocked off now and re routed 1/2 mile away. We used to drive across the bridge to get to baker rd. in 1975. I believe you could park and probably walk down to that bridge.(Off Almaville Rd.)
