Real Haunted House

Old Trinity Church

Brooklyn, Connecticut

Behind the graveyard is a small path that leads to a cross-shaped clearing. The animals that make this clearing their home are thought to be possessed–so is the church. Allegedly the serial killer, Mike Ross, buried his victims behind the church and in blood wrote, “I love little girls.” These women are thought to be the cause of the paranormal activity that exists there today.

Is this considered private property? If not, my team and I would be happier than Hell (no pun intended) to investigate this area.

I was a teen during the M. Ross rampage. I know for a fact that no bodies were dumped at the church. Your facts are wrong. One body was left in a lot 1/3 of a mile north of the church on CHURCH st. The property was the location of an old school house that was moved 1/4 mile further north on the oposite side of the road. I will not give the name of this victim as not to offend the family. The writting your refer to is correct, it was found on one of the rocks used to cover her. Lets keep our facts straight. Tomy

OK.Two words. Trinity Church? Two more words:
Not HAUNTED! I beleive in ghosts in every sense of the word, but have you ever been to Brooklyn, CT? Well….lets just say it is BORING. I used to live there. Michael ross killed some girl there when I was, like, 10. Since then the creepy place (it is creepy…beautiful, but creepy)has gotten a rep. So, If you want to visit it and youre not from the quiet corner and your a bored college kid with a burning itch to have fun…save your gas money and buy beer with it instead. Then….

The church is very creepy, and is private property. I managed to convince my little cousin to bring me there and we were asked to leave by a cop. The place gives me goose bumps. I personally didn’t see anything ghostly, but it is most definetly a scary place. I would never go there at night.

Creepy is an understatement. We have been there a couple times, usually between 10:30pm and 1:00am. We brought the digital camera and snapped some photos. There is absolutely some sort of something going on up there. I think it is definitely worth checking out. But, you have to get permission to go there because it is private property. I know this…the last time we were there was freaky enough for me not to want to go back. I would love for someone to do a documentary on this place and it’s history. There are a few things out there on the web now, but not a whole lot. There’s quite a story to this church, and i would like to find out more.

Trinity church is re-open for services. I went there today and talked to the grounds-keeper He was more than happy to give me a tour of the church. I asked him about paranormal activity on the property and he denies there is any. He mentioned that a reliable source had told him that his friend claimes to have taken the tunnel and ended up coming out of a grave at the church leading directly from his basement. It’s still definatley a spooky place do not go there after dark.

Okay well I dont know how many people have gone there with a video camera but I was there monday night with a few of my friends, if its not haunted or anything of that sort then its still creepy. but on the tape we have a pair of lights that chased one of my friends one being white one being red and you may say it was just a street light but how do you explain the lights moving in circles, and my personal suggustions would be to say not to bring females with you if they cant hold their own because one of our friends fainted between the two side windows on the right side of the church. took the trip 10/30/06

I went to Trinity yesterday and I believe that their is something their. everytime I have went their something different has happened. I have brought other people their with me that don’t believe and that place made them believers…. I believe that their is more to the history then what is being told when u sit out front of the church it just looks like a place u shouldn’t be. I don’t know who told u their is service being held their but my friends went into the place yesterday and believe me their is nothing going on at that place. I would love for someone to do an actual investigation of the place and find out the truth that sits in those walls so that everyones suspense could come to an end.

Old Trinity is definately haunted.Camp out for the night and see what happens. It would surely make a hell of a college initation if you slept inside. There is a few houses by there but they dont do anyhing. We walked right in front of the houses like 10 of us than ran to the fence and jumped over it.We even played Hide and Seek in the back. The gravestones are pretty cool. The Cross in the back in the woods is truly pretty awesome. When u walked past it,the church disappears. Some kind of time warp or illusion I guess. It would make one hell of a movie. The Michael Ross Story….sounds good to me if Warner Bros or Stephen King is listening. Any directors wanna film it?

girl says:

February 6, 2007, 5:27 am

I went there a few times it’s creepy!! I didn’t see anything but there was a cop that said to run the cross in the graveyard 3 times and jump the stone wall and you should see some stuff. I didn’t try it because I was to scared. But he also told me to be very careful because not only is it private property the sheriff lives in the house across the street.

Tomy is correct the girl ,one girl, was not killed at the church nor found at the church. Yes the church is still used I have seen it used and have talked to the caretaker. Nice gent gave me and my friends a tour. It is a very old church and has been modified over the years to make room for more people. Then they built the Trinity church near Our Lady of Lasalette. Now it is used for special occasions. The place is still creepy and the cross in the trees is definitely worth a look. If you happen to see the caretaker I am sure he would be glad to show you. Muh

i went to this church last year and although it is very creepy its IS NOT HAUNTED.we walked around the whole area during the day and got some pics and video footage of inside the church from a brokwen window and at night we took pics of the area surrounding the church and found nothing in any of the pics.after about 2 or 3 hours of taking pics a state trooper showed up and kicked us out because somebody called and complained about all of our cameras flashing so to answer VTGhostHunter`s question yes it is private property.

I have always wanted to visit a haunted house ever since I was 8 yrs. old. But I have been over one haunted house. It was freaky and weird. My friend and I were walking to her house, and she had shown me a haunted house. She loves haunted houses as well. Anyways, I wanted to go in, so she said we go in for a peek. But then I said, “C’mon Bre, I’m going to be right next to you.”So we went in the house, and there were these weird laughing noises. We were so creeped out that we had ran out and to her home. We hope to go again.

Whoever started this sick story is full of sh**!! One of his victim’s was my friends aunt. The bodies were all scattered around that part of Connecticut. We weren’t allowed to go anywhere for a while. Trinity Church is spooky like a lot of old places in Connecticut are spooky, but it has nothing to do with Micheal Ross. If you’re going to tell a story, get your facts straight. Making something ghoulish for thrills out of those families’ pain is just plain cruel and sick. My friend’s family was never the same–her grandmother only sat around, looking at old photo albums and her mother became an alcoholic and her and her sister were left to fend for themselves. Think of them when you are making stupid sh** up that doesn’t even match the known facts. Jerk!!!

Hence the Name “OLD TRINITY CHURCH” So for you people who said it is still being used and for those who have been inside. I say to you this. Take a look at the real one. There is a care taker as it seems the grounds are kept but no one has been in there for a long time only the town hold the key to it.

Hello fellow people interested in the Old Trinity Church. I was told by many people that if you get in contact with the caretaker he can give you a tour. My friends and I are very interested in getting the history and stories of what goes on there and would love to go there. If anyone has information on how to get in contact with the caretaker you can contact me at with details. If Dana, his wife, can get in contact with me that would be awesome as well. All in all, we are just wanting to figure out for ourselves if it is a myth or not and not get in trouble with police.

I live like 5 minutes away from Old Trinity and i have my entire life. I have been there many… many times. Two of my best friends live next door and across the street.. so no the sheriff doesn’t live across the street.. there is no sheriff in Brooklyn. There is a cross clearing in the back behind the church whcich is pretty interesting.. and the “i love little girls” thing is true… search it on the internet if you dont believe it. I went there with a video camera one night a few years back with a bunch of friends just playing around and when we looked at the tape later on you could see the figure of a man running right by us.. a full figure of a grown man.. creepiest thing I ever saw.. trinity is a creepy looking place.. and it is beautiful at the same time. there have also been accounts of faces in the upstairs windows too. Overall it is a interesting expeirence. I emailed TAPS a while back and told them they shuold investigate it. It is private property and cops in the area really dont like kids playin around there.. it is a cemetary…check it out!!!

I have been to Trinity Church a few times, and there is definitely paranotmal activity that goes on there. You are supposed to be able to see a lady in white, or children playing amongst the graves. Another thing you are supposed to see are lights going on and off in the church. The lights are very dim and come from the windows on the right side of the church. Don’t be confused by the spotlight though … only when it is all dark do you have the possibility of seeing the ligt. Don’t cause problems or vandalism there though, its very disrespectful.

Look people the church may or may not be haunted, but I personally think that the church is but only at night. Or there could be another story behind it if you think about it how old is this church or the church grounds for that matter and for all those that actually know about the hole Ross story no the bodys weren’t fond at the church but spirits travel don’t they and for another matter it could be ome other spirits that have died there and for another matter have you ever heard of memories it is when the ghost that has died there doesn’t really know they are dead and so what you see could be a memory and they don’t even see you. For all those people that are like it is not haunted it could very well be never judge on what you know because you don’t know everything that has happend there and for all you know it could be. For all those people that have been there during the day what if it is only haunted at night that does happen and if you are to scared to go there during the night then why don’t you stop ragging on the people that have. For all of you that have good for you for all of you that haven’t then leave them alone till you go there at night yourself!

As far as old trinity church goes, I live 10 minutes away from it, and it is still being used. People get married there, and there has been no proof of ANY hauntings here EVER. It is however, believed that BEHIND THE WALL in the back of the church, in the clearing, cults have practiced rituals there, but there is NO proof of this eithier. Michael Ross only left one victim behind the church, and she was not buried there, she was left in the graveyard, out in the open.

Beanie says:

I am a member of Trinity church. Old Trinity is still used in warm weather. I believe its once a month. The story you havent mentioned is that The under ground railroad that was in town ran from houses in the area to the babsement of Old Trinity. The balcony in the church, where black slaves had to sit, has carvings of slave ships and such. As far as it being haunted I dont know. I have been there many times and never had anything happen. It is spooky though.

Triity Episcopal Church owns Old Trinity. It is actively being used, and the cemetery is our parish burial ground still in use today. The church has no basement, and Michael Ross never left a victim on the property. The grounds are maintained and the church is open during the summer on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2-4, with Evening Prayer conducted at 4 on Sunday. The property is posted and the CT State Police patrol regulary. The church does prosecute trespassers. Paranormal societies are not welcome, the church is not haunted. Any off-season requests may be directed to Trinity Episcopal Church, Brooklyn.

I am an actual resident of Brooklyn and my boyfriends family lives in a house right behind the Trinity Church grounds (the cross is just over a stone wall in his backyard). While yes there have been reports of ghostly activity at the church and seeing faces in windows me and my boyfriend regularly smoked blunts not only IN the cemetery but behind it in the woods where the cross is and havent seen a thing day or night. The cross actually is there and YES Mike Ross did bury a girl back there, just by the pond where we also smoked some blunts. I have never encountered a ghost there but yeah, it IS pretty creepy.

Well I know all this is true…my mom went to school with Mike Ross and also my Aunt (God mother) lives on Church St. not too far from this church still today. She used to take me on walks by this church and it gave me the most creepy feeling. alot of weird energy comes from that place. Imagine actually stepping foot on the property. I felt this from the road!! Also my dad when he was alive before they found a body of one of the girls he used to go metal detecting behind the church near the swamps right near a body of one of the girls and he never knew until Mike Ross got caught. I don’t know what is there but something is. I could feel it from the road everytime I went by that church….If you know any better stay away!! As old as that church is nobody needs to wake up or desturb anything or something that needs to stay quiet!!!

i went here with a couple of my friends and it’s actually surrounded by houses, and there’s signs all over the place saying no trespassing. it does have a very eerie feeling about it, but that could very well be due to the fact that it’s a dark run down church surrounded by grave stones, and it was at night lol. i’d like to go back again, later of course to ensure the neighbors are sleeping, and get more footage. what we got didn’t show anything. the church itself is very still and creepy looking, i’d never want to go inside, day or night!

Lori says:

March 18, 2009, 3:22 pm

I live about 15 minutes from the church. I am told the church is still occasionally used. My sister and I took our cameras there a couple weeks ago and caught orbs all around the grave stones, on the ground, and on one side of the church. I also have 2 picutes of one side of the church, and in one picture there is absolute blackness, in another, there is a red orb type light..btw-Michael Ross did not kill his victims there at the church, however, only ONE of his victims was found there. okay so when my dad was a teen him and some friends found manholes in the back of the church that had crosses on them..he said that when they went down in them to explore it led to the inside of the church, and i think he said an old cabin or shed in the woods..they thought that these were probly used for the underground i just thought that someone who may want to go search for ghosts might want to know that..i dont know if they manholes are still accsessable or not though.

It was considered haunted way before Michael Ross.. The word I heard as a kid was that it was due to all the drowned witches (there used to be a pond on the way to the cross). Haven’t been there in years, but it used to be quite the place to hang out back in the day…

david says:

September 27, 2009, 1:22 pm

I went there a few times in the late seventies and early 80’s we would go there at night and walk through the church yard there was an old tree behind the church it had a large branch on it that looked like rope marks where they say witches or people that would hide in the underground railroad would be hung behind the church. if you continue up the hill through the pine tree path there would be a crossing at the top of the looked like a cross from above. there were lots of clay ponds on the other side of the hill from the old clay pits they said to us if the moon was right and the time of night was right you could see people hanging from the tree. Someone told me not long ago the tree is gone I,m not sure. Michael ross lived not fare from there his family had an egg farm across from the brooklyn fair gounds not far from the church. there are also stories that in the late 70′ billy joel lived just down the road from there. I lived my summers at big valley campground and foxtail campground. We had fun times getting in the back of the pickup and bringing new friends over to the church on a hot summers night. everyone always had some kind of halucinagen. Dave

Wow!!! I just dicovered this site and I must say there are a lot of myths here. So listen up, I grew up, I grew up near the church. NOT my friend of a friend of a friends relative…. There is a tunnel from the church to the southwest to a large (Yellow) house on the west side of Church Street. I can not recall the distance but it is quite a ways underground. Don’t know if the house is still there but in the late 70’s the family that purchased the home did a re-model job and found letters from Susan B. Anthony and also discovered the tunnel…..
As for the old Trinity Church, there are and were a ton of myths. NOTHING ever proven. There was an old house to the north on the same side of Church street that an elderly lady lived in. She kept a dim light on all night in an upper front window and would occasionally be staring out(creepy to say the least) and had dogs that would chase you if you were walking by or riding a bicycle during the daytime. When the old lady passed, my best friend’s parents bought and renovated the home into a beautiful house. It was somewhat creepy to be in the same house as the elderly lady lived but at the same time there was a suspicious atmosphere wondering if she was witchy. Back to the old Trinity Church. The small pond directly behind the church was rumored to be a burial for slaves NOT witches. My how time changes rumors…. Also it is true that if you flew over the church the rows of trees DID form a cross. I don’t know if the trees are still standing and if they are must be very old now. I have been there more than the posts on this site and must say it is creepy but nothing more.!!!!
If you ever get a chance to visit the church, do so. Great history

Meg says:

Michael Ross did not bury any of his victims behind the church. The closest victim was buried a quarter mile down the road. My neighbor was on of the jury members during Ross’s trial and she kept everything..including news paper clippings. The only thing he did with old trinity was write “I love little girls” on a tree in the back. Other than that everything else is false.

I have been to this location many, many times and believe it to have not only great history but something more to it. The “legend” of Michael Ross is true in that he did place a girls’ body in the pond just behind the stone wall, located behind the church. He did not write “I love little girls” on the wall or tree but in reality, it was located on the church itself, on the left side of it, between the 2nd and 3rd windows there. Of course, it was repainted afterwards but if you got here and look, you can still faintly see it there. Also, the overall feeling of the location helps to boost claims of paranormal activity. while in my investigations there, I have not experienced anything out of the norm but definately believe alot of negative energy is there and it holds alot to be discovered. I am actually going back this spring to re-investigate the location and do further research on it. I’ll post all the pictures, EVPs, and videos I can on here for you all to see.

Well Michael, please show us a police report that proves a female was put in the pond. As you say it is a legend. Did you know Michael? I say not. I did know him and his entire family. Michael was a very intelligent individual as well as his next younger sister. But he did not put any body in the pond.

MVK says:

My neighbor was on the jury during Ross’s trial. It’s true Ross was very intelligent and an A student..I’ve seen his transcrits. However there was in no way shape or form a girls body buried on the churches property. The girl was found a half mile down the road. So please do some research before you say a legend is true..especially when its not.

you said his family was respectable, but wasn’t his mother institutionalized at Norwich State, and didn’t she beat and abuse her children, Micheal the worst. I also heard that he was possibly molested by his uncle. I don’t really think that qualifies as respectable.
But anyways do you know if the old chicken farm is still existent? I think it would eb neat just to drive by and see it.

Killingly 79 says:

I don’t know if the farm is still around. I will see for you though. Yes his parents were abusive but what I meant was the children. Does everyone realize that Michael and his siblings excelled throughout school? Does this make him an innocent man, no but they were all very intelligent.

It was sort of a rite of passage as a teenager to go to Old Trinity late at night and walk around to the back of the building. We were bored and it was a creepy place but in all honesty in the dozens of time I have been there I personally never saw anything. If someone did see something it was always told as a friend of a friend story. When I was a teen the stories ranged from Michael Ross killing his victims there, an old witch in the second floor window, a candle and priest at the alter, and there is a rock on the property the cult was said to have killed babies on in sacrificial ceremonies. The church was still used on ocassion by the new Trinity Church last I knew. I got the privledge to actually go into the church once and see the inside during an event the church held there (think it was an open house but not 100% sure. It’s amazing from a historical stand point.

Kelly L says:

It was almost like a rite of passage for teenagers growing up in the Danielson area in the late 90’s to go to Old Trinity. We were no more than bored teenagers with nothing better to do and it was always amusing to bring people there, tell the tales, and watch them freak out. I have been on the grounds of the church AT LEAST 30 times and in all honesty have never had any personal experiences. The tales in my day ranged from the Ross murders happening there, an old witch that was buried there and a tree planted on her unmarked grave, a ghost candle and dark figure at the altar inside the church, and even a rock on the property used by the cult to sacrafice babies. Any tales we did hear from people were always “A friend of my friend went to Old Trinity and saw………..”
From a Historical aspect Old Triny is amazing. I was able to go inside the building during an open house. Trinity Church still uses the building on ocassion but are limited because the builing does not have utlities. It’s actually nice on the inside and not scarey at all during daytime lol.

My buddy who was driving said the passenger door was definitely open when we got out of the car. We were all standing in front of it and the kid who was in the passenger seat was asking any spirits there to show us a sign of their presence. I think the place is definitely haunted. We didn’t go past the gate/rock wall though because that is what keeps the demonic energies contained in the church grounds, supposedly.

This church is a peice of history and the oldest church in the state. It was originaly built as a church of england. It was also used as a meeting house in those days and it was a focal point of the town. The church is in the quiet corner of the state, and a very pretty part of the state. It is creepy in the fact that it is very old and very much original to the way it was in the 1700’s. if you ever get the chance to go inside; it is simply awe inspiring.

It is privately own by the Trinity Episcopal Church in Brooklyn. They sometimes still have services in the church on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the summer when it is warm enough to do so.

It is a legend and folklore that serial killer Michael Ross from the 1980’s hid one of his victims behind the pond behind the church and then wrote “I love Little Girls” on the church wall with her own blood. All of it is NOT TRUE. He left her body down the road on Church Stree in another lot, not near the church.

The church and its grounds could very well be haunted as it is from the 1700’s and it’s seen a lot in those years but it certaintly is not related to Michael Ross the serial killer. says:

This has become an urban legend, unfortunately for those who fell victim to this man. Sad that you would continue to advertise this area as being a haunted site. The only haunting is the memory of what transpired at the hands of this murderer we knew as Michael Ross.

Old Trinity Church is a pretty creepy place. Yes, Brooklyn is a pretty boring town, but Old Trinity Church is far from boring. A group of friends of mine would go there every weekend. We would park our car along the street where the houses are, and we would walk down the street to Trinity. We played Hide & Go Seek in the woods and even went into the woods where THE CROSS is. Its a very interesting place. Some of the gravestones are even interesting, people dying on Halloween in like 1885. Pretty cool if you asked me. They should do atleast a documentry on that place or something.

I recommend not going there alone after dark, stay away from the door and windows and NEVER LEAVE THE GATE OPEN!!!!!!

The Michael Ross connection is false. At least one body was found at the far end of the field across the street – about 1/2 mile away to the north west.

The church itself is a beautiful old building – not one you’d call inherently spooky. But it is surrounded by graves and above-ground crypts running back to pre-Revolution dates and there is indeed a thicket of dark old hemlocks that form a cross-shaped path. Taken as a whole, you can see why people tend to assume that there are creepy supernatural things afoot – the site is pretty much a haunting stereotype. I’m pretty confident that the general sense of unease people feel is just the setting triggering some basic fears.

As for actual “sightings”, the most common report is apparitions in the windows. One look at those windows in the daylight gives a very logical explanation. The glass is all original. After more than 200 years, it has become very irregular (glass is, after all, technically a liquid). It will distort any reflection significantly. I have personally seen what headlights of passing cars can do and if you’re already wrapped up in the legends and creeped out, I can see where you might be fooled – I’m on the skeptical side of curious and it stood my hair on end the first time.

If you want to get beyond paranormal and get into real, cool facts: There is a tunnel below the church. Now sealed, it reportedly ran from the church to a home about 1/4 mile to the south west on Church street and was used as part of the Underground Railroad. Take this for what it is worth, but the home belonged to a friend of my brother, who confirmed that there was indeed a tunnel was passable all the way to the church until it collapsed when Church street was paved in the 1940s. My brother says he was shown a circular area in the home’s stone foundation that had been sealed with brick. The Underground Railroad connection is supported by very old graffiti carved into the wood on the upper balcony – confirmed by a member of the Brooklyn Historical Society as being carved by escaped slaves that used the church as a way-station on their trip to Canada.

To me, that’s way better than ghosts.

Just keep in mind everybody, that there are things beyond most’s understanding and power to control or repel. When you go to these places with a desire to find something, see something, feel something, something may attach itself to you, and then you’ve got a serious problem, one that can’t simply be taken out. These spirits and other things can take an interest in you if your energy is welcoming an event, then you might bring them home, and maybe they’ll take an interest in your kids, or family, or friends. I’m a writer, an amateur historian, and a knifemaker/blacksmith by day, and while I may not have the credentials to catch most peoples attention, I do know something, something that is in bold print if I were a book. Don’t play with haunted locations or energies, don’t use conjuring techniques, don’t ever think that you aren’t vulnerable because you don’t believe. Ignorance will not make you invisible to whatever you stumble upon, only an easy target. And for those of you that don’t understand Connecticut, I’ll tell you, it is the paranormal capital of the world. There are entire towns that have been quarantined for ‘undisclosed reasons’, houses and places that literally have gateways open for all types of things to come and go. There are ancient things that my Siwanoy Indian forefathers and all other tribes knew to stay away from, some things can lead you off a cliff, some live in the earth, in caves, in trees, in rocks even. For all the people that don’t believe, don’t try to prove otherwise, you may do so and it may terrify you beyond what words can describe. There are, without a shadow of a doubt, all sorts of spirits, monsters, evils, unexplainable creatures and locations used as gateways by practitioners of magic and similar crafts. Just don’t stop your car on the roads of Redding at night for someone that looks injured, don’t cut down cedars, don’t go into abandoned houses, don’t walk around Union Cemetery at night, and don’t play games on hallowed ground. I am a story teller, and I could tell you some stories that will keep you awake for days, true stories. Connecticut has hidden about 95% of the incidents that have occurred here, and my job is to find out what they are. Sometimes I’m not even sure if my ‘fictitious writing’ is actually that or sometimes, especially when I’ve dreamed it, a warning that I’ve documented for the sake of innocents. Just be careful, and if you’re looking for a house and It’s huge but dirt cheap, something is wrong. Salt and other age old things can be used to protect you, but the real protection I can suggest is in Faith. Be honorable, penitent, helpful to the helpless, generous, kind and intuitive, you may be just fine. But remember, don’t go looking for goblins in the woods, you just might find them. I recommend everyone living in Connecticut to read the Dictionary of Superstitions, here It’s more of a survival manual, depending on how and where you live. Free investigative research can be conducted by myself, just look for Frank Gravina, he’ll give you a phone nunber, leave a detailed message about your location or problem and leave a return e-mail or fax, I’ll send you what I find, which is usually more than most can handle. Sweet dreams.

I’ve lived in CT my entire life. Brooklyn is only a few minutes away from me. Some members of my family can see people and feel things that most others cannot. I am more on the “feeling” side of things. I feel good energies and bad ones.. Sometimes I know what an object or person has been through. When I was younger, I’d occasionally tell my mom what I was feeling in a particular area, and more times than not something awful had once occurred there.
I’ve driven passed the Old Trinity church twice. The first time I had no idea where my fiance was taking me, (the tree farm) but within seconds before reaching this church my stomach turned upside down and I wanted to vomit. I’ve never gotten SO sick in my entire life, in all the times a place or object has given me a feeling.. It was like I was instantly struck with panic and in so much pain.. I called my mom and asked her “WTF HAPPENED THERE”.. and she told me about the possibility of Michael Ross having killed or dumped women’s bodies there… But that didn’t seem like “enough”. it felt like something so incredibly evil was present there. And as heartless as this may sound, something far beyond a few murders. The second time my fiance decided to STOP IN THE DRIVEWAY. Same feelings. Same sickness. It was like I felt the pain of a thousand broken hearts. I had to stop myself from crying. I never want to go there again. Something very bad and/or very angry and sad is there.. I would never set foot on those grounds. Take the gentleman above me, Francis’s warning. Listen to what he said. PLEASE. It applies to that place ESPECIALLY. This is NOT something you want to mess with.

First, the church is not haunted. Most of the information here is myths with no basis in fact. It’s just an old historic church (1771) surround by a historic cemetery. I suppose people just automatically think an old building is creepy especially when it has a burial ground in close proximity. It is an still an active church and active burial ground. There are several services open to the public held there throughout the year with the most popular being Lessons and Carols around Christmas. The building is on the National Register of Historic places. It is still part of Trinity Episcopal Church in the center of Brooklyn(the stone church with the red doors in the center of town) It is a holy place. It was recently desecrated by vandals costing over $10,000 dollars in cleanup and repair to the church. It is normally open during the summer months on Sundays from 1-4 for open houses. If you go and visit please do so during these open house hours, Please respect this as a holy place and the families of the deceased buried there.Or better yet, join the parish for worship during one of the public services!
