Real Haunted House

Old Trinity Church

Brooklyn, Connecticut

Behind the graveyard is a small path that leads to a cross-shaped clearing. The animals that make this clearing their home are thought to be possessed–so is the church. Allegedly the serial killer, Mike Ross, buried his victims behind the church and in blood wrote, “I love little girls.” These women are thought to be the cause of the paranormal activity that exists there today.

Please correct your statements about Trinity. This church has had a reputation LONG before Micheal Ross began his terror. None of his victims were left on this property.

It was sort of a rite of passage as a teenager to go to Old Trinity late at night and walk around to the back of the building. We were bored and it was a creepy place but in all honesty in the dozens of time I have been there I personally never saw anything. If someone did see something it was always told as a friend of a friend story. When I was a teen the stories ranged from Michael Ross killing his victims there, an old witch in the second floor window, a candle and priest at the alter, and there is a rock on the property the cult was said to have killed babies on in sacrificial ceremonies. The church was still used on ocassion by the new Trinity Church last I knew. I got the privledge to actually go into the church once and see the inside during an event the church held there (think it was an open house but not 100% sure. It’s amazing from a historical stand point.

It was almost like a rite of passage for teenagers growing up in the Danielson area in the late 90′s to go to Old Trinity. We were no more than bored teenagers with nothing better to do and it was always amusing to bring people there, tell the tales, and watch them freak out. I have been on the grounds of the church AT LEAST 30 times and in all honesty have never had any personal experiences. The tales in my day ranged from the Ross murders happening there, an old witch that was buried there and a tree planted on her unmarked grave, a ghost candle and dark figure at the altar inside the church, and even a rock on the property used by the cult to sacrafice babies. Any tales we did hear from people were always “A friend of my friend went to Old Trinity and saw………..”
From a Historical aspect Old Triny is amazing. I was able to go inside the building during an open house. Trinity Church still uses the building on ocassion but are limited because the builing does not have utlities. It’s actually nice on the inside and not scarey at all during daytime lol.

Michael Ross did not bury any of his victims here. In fact, he didn’t bury his victims anywhere.

alright, well ive been there numerous times in the past 3weeks with a few people and i can personally say i do believe that there is paranormal activity going on at trinity church. the last time was the worst, we seen shadows that wat appeared to be figures running across the graveyard and we also heard loud screaming coming from the woods that just suddenly disapeared after a few seconds. i dont care what anyone says ive been there atleast 6times and everyone of them have been by farr veryy creepy and it seems to me that there is something going on but perhaps we will never really know.

Me and 2 of my friends went to trinity church two nights ago, my buddy who was driving turned his car so his headlights were facing the church. We sat in front of his car expecting to see something that would spook us when all of the sudden the passenger door behind us slammed closed. My buddy who was driving said the passenger door was definitely open when we got out of the car. We were all standing in front of it and the kid who was in the passenger seat was asking any spirits there to show us a sign of their presence. I think the place is definitely haunted. We didn’t go past the gate/rock wall though because that is what keeps the demonic energies contained in the church grounds, supposedly.

This church is a peice of history and the oldest church in the state. It was originaly built as a church of england. It was also used as a meeting house in those days and it was a focal point of the town. The church is in the quiet corner of the state, and a very pretty part of the state. It is creepy in the fact that it is very old and very much original to the way it was in the 1700′s. if you ever get the chance to go inside; it is simply awe inspiring.

It is privately own by the Trinity Episcopal Church in Brooklyn. They sometimes still have services in the church on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the summer when it is warm enough to do so.

It is a legend and folklore that serial killer Michael Ross from the 1980′s hid one of his victims behind the pond behind the church and then wrote “I love Little Girls” on the church wall with her own blood. All of it is NOT TRUE. He left her body down the road on Church Stree in another lot, not near the church.

The church and its grounds could very well be haunted as it is from the 1700′s and it’s seen a lot in those years but it certaintly is not related to Michael Ross the serial killer.

WOW Irish. Most of us do have better things to do but we also get an e mail alert when someone posts ANYTHING on this church. You have given the readers a ton of info,(nothing) but don’t know why any of it matters. There was more a discussion on the history of the church. AND as you stated , your dad, NOT YOU, used to go there. How much BS has he passed on?

killingly79: well apprntly you dont have anything better to do since you seem to have commented on this site more than anyone else..also my dad wasnt the only one who saw those tunnels other ppl have commented on them on this same site..oh and btw its an OPTION to recieve email alerts that means that you dont have to recieve them.but i can see you apparently didnt know that

adams495:idk why ur even mentioning michael ross in comparison to what i said because what i said had nothing to do with him..i never evenbrought him up in a comment because 90 percent o what people say hapened there with him is a myth.so why would i further the argument?..all i did was merely mention a thing my dad told me.no i will admit iv never seen these manholes but i have seen other commenters who have seen them and even one woman whose friend bought the house in which one of the tunnels leads to..im bot sure why you and killingly95 have such a problem with the mention of these manholes..it wasnt uncommen for ANY church to have them because the era it was built was during the time when there were many underground railroad establishments..

You cannot enter this area as it is restricted. Fact: Michael Ross did NOT bury his victims behind the church or even within the boundaries for that matter. This has become an urban legend, unfortunately for those who fell victim to this man. Sad that you would continue to advertise this area as being a haunted site. The only haunting is the memory of what transpired at the hands of this murderer we knew as Michael Ross.

Sad you continue to advertise a sacred site as haunted and lure people to go to a place that is restricted. Michael Ross did NOT bury any of his victims in or around the church. As far as the writing is concerned…it is an urban legend, i am afraid. I KNOW. I did much research on this as i was almost one of his victims.

i know a person that lived right near this church and just moved away a few months ago, and they said that the people really were killed there and the church has never been reopened, and people arent even allowed on the property.he said that if the neighbors even see people sticking around for too long they call the cops

Jenna Donaldson(shelley) says:

I know for a fact that all 12 girls where not killed there. One of the girls was my aunt and she was not murderd there.so please get your facts straight. Also any body making up stories of knowing some one that was almost murderd by that sad waste of a person can get there facts straight.Michael Ross did not kill anyone there, did not leave any bodies on the property.

Yea,

Old Trinity Church is a pretty creepy place. Yes, Brooklyn is a pretty boring town, but Old Trinity Church is far from boring. A group of friends of mine would go there every weekend. We would park our car along the street where the houses are, and we would walk down the street to Trinity. We played Hide & Go Seek in the woods and even went into the woods where THE CROSS is. Its a very interesting place. Some of the gravestones are even interesting, people dying on Halloween in like 1885. Pretty cool if you asked me. They should do atleast a documentry on that place or something.

I lived around that town for 18 yrs.. yes old trinity is haunted but not by what many ppl think..It goes back ALOT further than Micheal Ross..There are things that live in that abandoned church that should never be released OR PREVOKED..Brooklyn may be a quiet town but a dark past. I recommend not going there alone after dark, stay away from the door and windows and NEVER LEAVE THE GATE OPEN!!!!!!
