my brother and his friend heard if you went up to her picture and said that u dont believe in ghosts then she will haunt your room, so they did it and one night my brother had to study and the phone kept ringing and when they answered it would hang up so after a few times of answering the thought maybe someone wanted to leave them a message so they let it ring untill it stopped and called the front desk and asked if they had any messages, the lady said no calls have been thru his line since way earlier that day...my brother not believing in ghosts thought it was his friend messing with him so he un plugged it,there was no calls for a while then about a hour later it rang my brother was completly confused but still answered it hearing"get out" he threw the phone in fear and came home that night he then transfered schools in fear

II lived in Peabody for 2 years and attended class in the build for my entire college education. I know several people who claim to have seen Helen Peabody. There is a catch to the story... Peabody Hall as it exists today (less the modifications and additions) is not the original building. Peabody burned down and the existing build was rebuilt on top of the original foundation. Helen Peabody walks on the old floors, so when you see her you only the top half of her body.
There are also stories of ghosts in the South stairwell on the third floor. As the legend goes back in the day before the stairwell existed that space was another dorm room. Apparently one of the occupants became pregnant and then committed suicide. True or false... I don't know, nor I have I seen anything to make me think its true, but it’s another ghost story.

Also on the Miami campus is Wilson Hall, which at one time was an asylum and is also supposedly haunted... but that's another story.

Here is the ghost story of myself and my roomate, at different times, seperate! I currently live in Peabody hall. The new Tyler facility, another building that is the most advanced of it's kind, is going to be here soon, so they placed all of the art kids here. I live in the 2-long hallway. one night I was in the shower, it was past 2 am, and I heard someone walked into the stall next to me, and then saw the curtain close. After five minutes of the foucet not turning on I looked at the bottom of the stall next to me, and there weren't any feet there. There was never a physical living person there the whole time. Sometimes in the middle of the night, multiple residents of 2-long have heard singing in or coming from the bathroom. When they checked there was never anyone there. No one has recognized the song yet. Another time I was asleep in my room, my roommate was sound asleep, but there was something else in the room. I just saw utter darkness, as if someone was pressing over my face, and I lay awake in bed for ten minutes in absolute horror, unable to open my eyes, I was so scared. The same had happened to my roommate. She woke a little past three in the morning two nights ago. Someone was going down the hallway knocking on all of the doors. She rolled over to open the door when it got close, but the locked door had swung open before she could get out of bed. The face of an older woman had rushed into her face to her ears and screamed. She wanted to wake me, but was to terrified to get out of bed. She told me thins when I mentioned what had happened to me only a week earlier. It's the ghost of Peabody Hall, Temple University, right above the old cemetary.

Oh, my poor dimwitted friend. Are you not aware that common interests can be shared by those other than family or lovers? One day, you will have a friend - and one of the first things you will try to learn about them is how old they are.

But alas... ye shall be named lezbo.
