Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

A Pirate’s Revenge

Melrose, Massachusetts

A former owner of this house was the captain of a sea-faring vessel that was credited with sinking a pirate’s ship. A year after this battle, the captain disappeared. The house has changed ownership several times since then, mainly due to the hauntings the house possessed. In 1993, which was exactly 200 years after the disappearance of the captain, the son of the house awoke to get a drink. In the hallway, he encountered a scrawny pirate with four pistols dueling with the sea captain. In the morning, blood stains were seen on the couch. Other strange occurrences include loud bumps in the night, the sound of swords clashing, and strange growling noises. While adding an addition to the house, workmen discovered a glass bottle with a blood-stained ship inside. After this find, the hauntings ceased.

I grew up near this home. The story told to us by the actual home owner was slightly different. As kids we would look behind the house to try to find the ghost. One night, we heard a voice(with an English accent) telling to leave the property. So we did thinking it was the home owner. The next day we found out the the home owner was away for the week. We never found out who told us to leave but always wonder who told us to leave and never again went behind the home.

If anyone knows the area its across from towline the bowling alley in sagus. Its actually on the sagus malden melrose line. But however you go up between the dealership and there’s a street called penny rd actually not lane. And u go up a bump rd that turns into a windy one. About 5 min up there is a street call Dexter rd, u take a sharp left on it. the house is at the end of the dead end street, (its a private way) But i would recommend to be careful because I almost got arrested there cause of the cops. When u walk up his long driveway there is an alarm that goes off. An old man does live there, but from what i recently heard it is know a banded. If that’s true he must of died recently. And i heard a totally different story about a kid named billy dying and u call his name at the stop sign but idk. If you go up there do post, and let me know how it is since i wont be going back there haha

Went there tonight. It’s on Mill Road all the way in the back. There’s one house where people live so be careful. Don’t go at nite, as you might be attacked by whatever is there. Heard banging upstairs and for some reason couldn’t move when I tried to get out the window. Also, a couple people I was with saw a face looking out the upstairs window. There’s also poop everyhwere so watch out.

My hubby toldme of a place near the Melrose library that he & his friends used to was told that an escaped convict in the late 1890’s killed an entire family and when the cops came looking for him, he hung himself. My hubby said he & his friends (in the early 1960’s) were in the abandoned house & they heard a noise & saw a man in attire from the 1880’s walking around like he was looking for something..then he just dissappeared. He said it was on Emerson Place or Bradford St and years later it became for a short while a religious home it has since been torn down.

It looks like it’s been a couple of years since anything has come up about this house and the mysteries surrounding it. Someone above mentioned dexter road, which indeed does have an abandoned/foreclosed house. I have not been in it, but I have seen it. I do not believe the house is entirely abandoned because the grass is mowed, and there is only a little mail in the mailbox. At the very end of dexter road, there is a gate that leads to an area with foundations for multiple houses, or maybe just one huge one. Also

Inside the mysterious trails of mount good golf course, I have been shown a house that looks to be abandoned. I had reasons to believe the house lies on dexter road, or penny road, but those have been thrown away. I can’t find out the name of the road that the house lies on because I have only seen the back. The house is white and is covered in foliage. A yellow house lies next to it. If anyone can find the name of the road or knows the place I am talking about, please post about it
