You all talk about this like it is some kind of cool thing and "lets go find another haunted place". I am sorry, I am not trying to be mellow dematic but, I deal with this on a daily basis(since I was about 7). DO you know what it is like to not be able to go to your own fridge in the middle of the night to get a drink without spirits "flooding through". It is NOT fun or even a thrill. It is exhausting and tramatic. I really must warn you all. Please be careful because what you think you are hunting for may not be what you really want to find. Please be careful!!! You are all treading on dangerous ground. And please dont speak to them if you find them. They can latch on and follow you home. I know.

I worked at Ripley’s museum as maintenance and always thought that I could hear big band(jazz)music playing from the dinning room(where the big ferris wheel is)but could never find the source. One night I did see a ghost as I was on the stairwell to the third floor to turn off the main lights. I was alone during these times and everyone was at the main lobby. On that night;I so happened to turn around and was face to face with a jelly fish like ghost that suddenly stopped moving just as I caught eye with it. The ghost had it's own stationary WHIRL motion. I was looking at it for 11 seconds and then it took off jet like towards the wax hand room. I was not scared after that only because it was not human shaped nor did it speak. I was however afraid of the dark areas on all of the rooms;not knowing whats looking if not standing.

Why would a college or building with that much history have a floor that is in ruins? I'm sure the school has enough money to refurbish the floor! Unless perhaps... its haunted!

Me and a couple of friends actually work maintenance at flagler for the duration of this summer, and have done a little exploring ourselves. As far as the stories of the staircase or whatever in the men's bathroom go, they are true. The door is now screwed/nailed shut. However, theres a storage room in the basement through one of the breezeways that has a tight corridor to where you can see where the staircase went. The whole corridor runs the length of the school and more, and houses all sorts of pumbling and electrical piping and wires.
We are still in pursuit of this mythical room where the mistress hung herself however, and we are stil trying to get granted access to the ballroom to check out what we can find in there.

I went there. I was on the 3rd floor west wing in a room under the ballroom. You hear things at night from above. Me and my roomates would all hear it together. They do have the floor blocked off but if you know the right staff you can get in. My friend and I got in and the floor in the ball room is almost completly caved in. That is why it is used for storage. There are dead rats and birds and stuff. But the supposed place where the woman hung herself is open and you can go in. The view is great from her room. What creeped me out was the people we supposedly heard could not have been there as there is no solid floor for them to stand on. Oh ps. There is also a creepy stair case behind the elevators for staff and supposidly mistresses.

I went to Flagler for 3 years and lived in the dorms for 2. I have heard all the ghost stories except the way that I heard it there was one more. There was a girl that looked like Flagler's daughter that jumped from the tower after being haunted. I don't know if the mirror room was on the third or fourth floor though...does anybody know which room # it was? Either way I have seen pictures of the fourth floor and it was used when the college first opened. In fact the office for the school newspaper the gargoyle was in room 405. The floor only has like 5 rooms and a big ballroom area with a zodiac floor and in one of the rooms there is a really weird cartoon like painting on the wall. But you can tell in the pictures that the floor and walls are in very bad shape, but this could also be from neglect since now the floor mainly stores old furniture. And for those of you that think you would just go walking up there if you went to school there it is nearly impossible. You either have to crawl up a rusty metal winding staircase that looks like it could fall at any moment or try to catch the maintenance elevator unlocked which never happens.

I know this is off topic- but I am a sensitive, and also had strange occurances/feelings at the Ripleys Museum. I was on the third floor and felt feelings that I was not suppose to be there. There was a horrible feeling in my stomach and a sudden feeling of dread. This was before I found out that someone died in the house. If you want a wierd experience check out the museum. We recieved free tickets because people were leaving the museum after being to scared and unsettled with the place. It really does not feel "right." It certainly is not a happy place. As far as Flagler College goes- Saint Augustine is known for being a place of high paranormal activity. It is believed that the history and tragic events that have taken place have effected the area, if you get a chance, saint augustine is a must see place visit. It get even wierdo, I was driving for 5 hours from Miami, and needed to stop for gas, after 2 horus I ended up getting really lost and ended up in Saint Augustine and experienced some really wierd happening, I ended up getting my first tattoo to remember that evening.

I've been to St. Augustine before but I've never heard of this story. I was more interested in the lighthouse which is also supposed to be haunted. I discovered that because my dad has a thing for the show "ghost hunters" which had an episode on the hauntings there. They caught a few things on camera too. It's almost scary.
