Post Cemetery
This museum was once the home of a wealthy family. The family had a church built into the house and nuns even lived there. After the family died, the mansion was converted into an orphanage. Today, the “Lady in Red” guards over the orphanage. She is believed to have been the matriarch of the family.
Okay so which is it? Is it a musuem or a orphanage?

I am stationed in Fort.Riley. A buddie of mine had an inncedent at the Cemetary. While driving by back to his house on post he thought he saw people running around the cemetary. He pulled up to see why anyone would be there running around at night. Pulling up he can hear footsteps yet see’s no one. He had his dog with him in the car and the dog went nuts. He soon left afterwards when his dog would not calm down.

First off i wanna say that I love your site. Even if the stories are un true they are still entertaning. I believe in ghosts and spirits as I have encountered some pretty freaky $#!+. But the thing i dont get about this story is how it resembles the Strawberry Hill story you have on here. Museums, Nuns, Orphanages, Lady in red. How do you get two almost identical instances in two different cities?
Also I wanted to ask if anyone new any other sites that has haunts listed by state, or if any of you know of any other hauntings in kansas. If so please e-mail me @ dickiesgirl2232003@yahoo.com

it is rumored that out by brookeville KS. there is a place known as HOTTS HOUSE, i myself have been there one time, but cant recall how exactly to get there. I do recall seeing some pretty wild things, such as water dripping from the floor to the ceiling. “they” say that it was based on an escape tunnel dug by the slaves to escape an abusive employer or whatever you would call a slaves boss. I would call them the owner but thats just how i am. If anyone knows the directions, or has information about this place im @ carl20041974@yahoo.com. Also interested in another place known as “zelda’s”, a place i remember here in salina, would like to know where that is as well.

I live right down from the cemetery and there is not a museum or house or whatever in or around the cemetery at all.

As I recall, living at Fort Riley, the story was that children would run around the cemetery at night bc…
back in the day a trail of wagons stopped because of Indian sitings. Two kids when missing and so did the mother (dressed in red) after she went looking for them. Supposedly you can see the kids run around or hear her calling their names late at night. my friends and i used to go there to play manhunt.
