So of course i listened to my mother and i sat there waiting for something to happen i noticed the door knob was moving and i looked under the closet door and no one was there i got the chills. Then i heard someone saying a name (it sounded like the name was emily) i thought to myself my name isnt emily? its ashley so then my mother she left me in there for 10 minutes and in those 10 minutes those two things happend and when i went to grab the door knob the door slamed open and no one was there my mother was in the car waiting and counting before i went in the closet she handed me a watch so i could count when 10 minutes where over. When i got in the car my mother asked me did my grandmother call for my sister emily? i told my mother yes thinking in my head i was like how did she know that to this day i still wonder how she knew. I couldnt ask her cause my mother died a mile away from that house. I'm actually a bit sorry to hear they renovated it now. Hopefully they installed air conditioning. The janitor story is true to my knowlege. And I did really experience this. I still have dreams about the place. It was a beautiful building, I wish they hadn't renovated it. By the way, when I lived there it was probably 1989 or 1990. I had never gone down there really, except one night, I ran into the back entrance of the building to use the bathroom before going to park my car off campus. While I was in the bathroom, I heard the door open and thinking it was my friend called out to her, but there was no answer. Then I heard the shower go on. It was really strange because there were only a few rooms on that floor and I knew everyone who lived on that floor and no one replied. When leaving the bathroom, you pass the showers on the way out and the door was closed and latched, the water running but no one in there! Seriously, honestly... no one in there. My heart started racing and I ran out to my friend waiting in the car (she lived on that floor) and told her everything. She told me that it happens sometimes and that a janitor had once hung himself there. I thought that if that was true it would be on record with the university. I called the university police dept to follow up and they confirmed it was true and that they get reports of the same events I had experienced all the time. It was definitely freaky.
