I liv near the cotton house on 18th ave. It ismostly abandonmned. Iheard there is a ghost oa woman i there, but never hard that she burned up. someone has seen her in awhite drss. We use to run or walk along there on the way to school. We never saw or heard anything, but some people who own the house won’t live in it because thewy hve heard scratchings upsatirs. There is a mysterou room behind the bookcase.

i lived at cambridge and was also the sleaning lady for over a year..there were times when i was cleaning an empty apt.and had the major feeling of being watched.so much so that i kept tutning to look.there were apts. i wouldnt even go into and im not scared of much.i lived there as a child too.always felt weird there.ive seen a few black shadows here and there.its haunted for sure….

Im very interested in getting a closer look at the Abbley house in Galena. Ive been there several times but never went real close to the house itself out of respect for others property. I was up there last night and saw unexpectedly not much has changed..other than the bridge being almost impassable by vehicle. I was under the impression someone had bought the hosue and fixed up the property. Still a very creepy place as it was 15 years ago.
I saw someone claiming to know the owner of this house. If possible I would love to take a closer look sometime as Ive been wondering about it for 15+ years. Im not some drunk kid looking for a place to party…just out of curiousity more than anything.

Why isn’t the Villisca Axe Murder House on here? That was a real event and everyone that has ever visited has seen something or felt something. This website sucks!

I used to live on 4th avenue north when i was younger (16 now) and my older sister and then step-mom walked up to the springdale cemetary at night. they came running home and said they saw a light just floating. they didnt see anyone attached to it, it was just floating.

my grandma used to live in a house on pershing blvd until like 2 or 3 yrs ago. the house is very old and when i was younger, my older sister and brother, my dad, and i lived with my grandma. my sister and i shared a room in the attic. at first i thought it was just my imagination but i would here footsteps coming down the hallway into our room. after awhile my sister said she heard them too and we refused to sleep up there. we slept on a pull out couch downstairs and constantly heard footsteps in our room in the attic. just recently, my sister and i were talking to my dad about my grandmas house and he asked us if we heard the footsteps in our room. we said yes and he said when him and my uncle david shared the room, they heard them ALL the time. My grandpa died from a heart attack in the house but i dont know any other history besides that

I heard a tape that was recorded in a cambridge apartment. The freakiest thing ever! A small tape recorder was left on by an 8 year old girl. The tape recorder was left in a bedroom. Later, her mother found it and played it. She could not understand what she was hearing. The recording was incomprehensible except for the mother, daughter, the mothers friend, and her boyfriend. The daughter played the recording in slow play. In slow play you could not understand the living in the room but a voice said, “I’m going to kill all 4 of you”. I heard the tape played in slow and normal speed. It’s TRUE and REAL!! p.s. Nothing ever happened to them.

I know of the old mill you are talking about in clinton. it’s more like in camanche and just a farm. the family that owned it years ago milled their own grain for their own use. My coven has been using the grounds for our anual sanhein rituals for years… so does it “start up” ? no. you will just see alot of fire light from our bon fire and hear voices chanting. nothing more.

i worked as a cleaning lady in cambridge apts for 2 yrs.there were some apts i wouldnt go into.but most of the time i just felt like someone was watching me.enogh to where i turn and look.i never believed on ghosts until i had the pleasure of cleaning cambridge.the spirits are probably mad.look at the place!its now the ghetto.

For those of you claiming to have been to Rogue’s Hollow in Clinton, IA, i dont know how seeing as its in Clinton, Ohio. I was born in Clinton and now live in Albany, Il and i’ve never heard of a place called Rogue’s Hollow so i did some research and its in Ohio. Also to Kris Milder, i used to live on 4th ave N, you could see the cemetary from my house, do you know what the address is?

I went there and car din’t stall nothing really happened also went out to satans tunnel same thing there.

ok so rogues hollow… is that near hauhn towne???? I’ve asked every person in my family(bred born and raised here for generations) and every farmer in clinton and jackson counties I can think of; none of them know of rogues hollow. Only thing that come close is hauhn towne. There’s an old mill there, that aside from being obslete, would function, but no hollow. Small creek for cattle, but no hollow. As far as cambridge/schick/miller ridge apts go, I would never set foot in those buildings again if u paid me! Growing up had friends that lived there, never saw anything but we heard alot of strange things: knocking on the door(nobody in halls), screaming in vacant apts, unexplained lights etc. the one place that was just flat out nuts was the old pool bldg. torn down now but about 10 years ago my school used the soccer feild in front of it. oddly enough, us teens thought we’d go in there halloween night. again didnt “see” anything, but me and my 2 gal-pals we hand-in-hand while they guys went ahead with flashlights. got in the “door” bout 20 steps or so and we (girls) had sharp pains on our arms. ran out and we each had scratches. small but still it terrified us. I now live in a house not far from those bldgs and have made it very clear that i will NOT even drive past unless its daylight. Maybe they’re haunted, maybe it was us teenagers being teens, i dunno. i do know that CPD has to go up there almost daily for violence (mostly domestic, some worse), or drugs. id stay away if i were you.

I live in Council Bluffs, and i’ve been to our historic Dodge house. I was there one day doing a tour for fun and I swear that I saw a person on the 3rd floor that was roped off. I looked up and there wasn’t anyone there. Then another time, I was driving past the Dodge house with my friends at night, and I thought I saw someone looking out one of the upstairs windows there were also no lights on in the house. That was creepy.

I lived in Cambridge apartments for a year in apartment 1414. Our door was right next to the old abandoned part thats blocked off…if you look through the windows you can see a bunch of old stuff. Anyways, there were a few times when we would get random water spots all over our bedroom floor…and it wasnt spilled water…it was REALLY mildewed water that smelled terribly mildewed…We figured there were probably some old pipes leaking under us or something. Then one time the spot was on our bed…and strangly it was the same mildewed water…Our ceilings did not leak. Also the stains WOULDNT dry…we couldnt figure out what the hell was wrong. It was really creepy. The place gave me the chills so bad I would run in and out of the building to avoid seeing things in the halls. Some people dont see anything. My neighbors across the hall were drunks so idk if they seen anything.
