The Royalty Theater original name was the Capitol Theatre which opened in the early 20's. I worked at the Capitol while it was own by ABC/Plitt Theatres and also worked there later when it was an independent. Yes, Al Capone did go to the theatre especially just prior to the St Valentine's massacre to been seen. As for the ghosts - there are many there. In the dressing room under the stage on the west side that has the most eerie and evil presence. The rest of the dressing rooms area has many presences that curious but not threatening. The elderly small woman “ghost” that walks down the west side (right aisle) caring a blue bank bag is Ruth. She was the cashier there for many years. Like clock work she always took the money bag down the right aisle 10 minutes after closing the box office which usually closed at 10:00 PM.
I heard some people say they would see a man in the balcony. This could be the man who died in the balcony who I believe is the same ghost who for a time was seen by employees of Sunshine Mall 5 Theatres (at that time own by Cineplex Theatres) in the projection booth and the stairway. The employees’ description of the presence of a man wearing tan slacks, long sleeve blue shirt with a tie match what the one of the managers of Sunshine Mall Twin wore, Bill. Later this same manager co-owned the Capitol (an independent theatre) after Plitt Theatres sold it. Those employees never met Bill. I did, I work for Bill at the Sunshine Mall Twin and when he co-owned the Capitol.
I do not recall the stories of presences at the Carib Theatre which was located on Cleveland Street and or the stories of the Ritz Theatre - my Grandmother work at both.

Belleview biltmore hotel in Bellaire is haunted, The Don Cesar, Vinoy is too. So all of these places are just as haunted. you got to chek them out!!
The best time to go to these places is during Halloween when they give the tours. the biltmore will be closing soon for 3 yrs renovations but the haunts are still there, they will not go anywheres even if they move.I say when you get into the hotel go down to the old phone booths, they have a small staircase to the upper floors, they are a booth that has closed glass doors next door to the candy and sweet shoppe.that area is a hot spot. Also on the 13th floor yes there is a 13th floor in this hotel and on the 5th floor is very haunted, alot of kids died in a fire that was in the early 20;'s there . so their souls are up there, the maids quarters are on the 13th floor. but no one likes going up there. There are alot of secret rooms, floors that go nowheres, staircases to no place, under the floorboards to the lower level is the place they used to bring the booze in and food underground, go see that if you can.
