My friends and I drove from Huron to Gore orphanage back in 1986 when we were teens. We arrived there in late afternoon. As soon as we were out of the car we were chased by 3 dobermans and all of us had to get up a tree to avoid being bit. After about 30 mins they went away. Later as we climbed the road to the top of the hill we got dive bombed by a red tailed hawk. That made a beliver of me, that place def has something going on.

The rumors of the orphanage burning down and all the children dying are untrue, there were many deaths there, but they were natural causes and some murders/suicides. Me and my friends have seen ghosts, and orbs and have pictures. We hear heavy breathing, big sticks breaking, see weird lights floating around us, and have small hand/foot prints all over our car. I have pictures to prove it. The first family to live there was the Swift family, four children died within 4 days (unknown cause.) The second family was the Wilbur family, one child was reported dead (natural cause.) There was an orphanage, there was abuse involved, it did eventually burn down, but only one child didn’t survive, but all the others did. I have visited this place multiple times over the years, and I have never heard children screaming or heard crackling from the building burning. There is definitely some creepy stuff that happens there.

Is it just ruins or is the building still there? me and my older sister were thinking about going there but if it isn’t standing she doesn’t want to take the drive out there

i have been to gore orphanage many different times and something weird has always happened. the fact is is that there are two bridges on your way there. you have to go over a big eerie old looking bridge to get to the real one. everyone thinks that the first one is it, but they’re wrong. there’s alot more to it. as soon as you get anywhere near the bridge you start to feel the negative energy. it’s insane. like the last time i went a few weeeks ago, i couldn’t breathe. just beware because there are alot of people that try to keep you out of there. i have had personal expiriences. the last time i went there someone had cut up the asphalt at the first bridge, and my car had a hard time. i have a friend, jordan, who drove through there one night and a car full of men with masks and guns chased his car down for no reason. just be as careful as you can! i’m serious. bad things happen down there, no joke.

I have been there like 50 times we used to go out there and party as teenagers i have never heard or seen nothing.
