Thank you for your reply. I am having a hard time sending you a e mail so i will try from here. I do believe that the Prospect murder happened more than 20 yrs ago. I use to live in Redlands as a child I lived on East Crescent Ave which is only a couple of blocks away from the park and i was always warned that I should never go there alone and especially at night because a young girl was killed there. And that was back in the 60’s when i lived there. I do know that Redlands is a creepy place especially around the older parts. Tell me what you know I am really curious to hear what you have to say.

I believe the school on California and Redlands Blvd was called Mission Elementary.

I grew up in Redlands and I loved it. It is full of history, some good and some bad, but it’s definitely interesting.

HEY THERE EVY 1 THE STORY IS VERY TRUE ABOUT THE LITTLE BOY THAT DIED THERE.I WENT WITH MY FRIENDS BACK IN 1989.I KNOCK ON THE DOOR TO ASK THE LITLLE BOY TO PLAY WITH ME ON THE SWINGS.SO I TOLD HIM 2 KNOCK 1 TIME 4 NO,2TIMES 4 YES.HE ANSWER 2 TIMES SO I WALK OVER TO THE SWINGS THAT NITE. I SAT DOWN ON THE SWING.IN A FEW MINS THE SWING STARTED TO SWING BACK AND FORTH IT WAS A CLAM NITE TOO. WE ALL FREAK OUT SO WE WALK OUT BUT WE SAW A LIGHT FLOATING IN THE AIR IT WENT IN THE NURSE’S OFFICE IT DISAPPER IN THIN AIR. ITS ALL TRUE!

Seriously! I did it one time i live in Yucaipa and i heard about and i went over to Redlands and me and my mom and a couple of friends did it it was awesome.

Ok so i live in redlands and ive gone up to Mariposa tons of times at night and Ive never heard anyone, or anything up there. Seriously has any one ever though that the WIND made the swings move? Yea we live in the valled, and we get something called uh i dunno The Santa Ana WINDS…

I went out there a few years back with some friends. We went to the door and knocked like the story said. At first there was nothing. After a few more tries we finally herd the knock back. At first we were amused and kept doing it, knowing it was spooky. Then I decided to leave a note for the girl. I wrote on a piece of paper asking for her name and slid it under the door then knocked. About 20 seconds passed and the paper slid back under the door shreaded. After that we all took off and never tuned back.

wow, I have heard about this story when I was like what 10. I was actually watching the show So Weird. When a friend told me about this story I totally forgot about it then I bump into this website. I still wondered if the story is true and wanted to visit it, but since you guys said the school is filled with cops and cameras I guess I dont have a chance do I. I’M PRETTY SURE NOBODY IS HAUNTING MARAPOSA!!!We knocked on the door and nothing happen. So then we went to the swings and I started swinging and the swing next to me started moving and freaked us out but then I figured it was the wind or the movement from me moving the swing. Oh yeah and the cops came and told us on halloween they hide behind bushes and scare kids. haha who does that? They also confirmed it was a myth.

The Barton Mansion…Creepy but not haunted. My ex said he seen a guy standing at the bottom of the staircase and my friend thought she seen something by the shed or whatever that was. But I think they were seeing things. You see things when you want to.

Okay, real quick. In the 80’s just before I left for Marine Boot Camp, my boyfriend, sisters (2) and one of their friends went to Mariposa Elementary to check out this tale. We had been there previous but nothing happened as the this night. We got there and so did another two couples. The quys had told us that it was the heater you would here knocking and that you could time it. So after they left we did an experiment. We started asking questions to the little boy that haunted the school. We would ask it yes and no questions and he would answer by knocking once for yes and twice for no. After we really got to conversating…by the way he misses his family. We asked him to answer questions with in the count of three…and he did. There was no consistent time, it happened randomly. By the way it was summer, why the heck would the heaters be on. We were all cool asking the questions until the knocking came from the nurses office. We all freaked and ran, but something told me to go back and I did. Eventually everyone did also. The trick to asking the questions was to have your hand on the door, as I was holding on and asking more questions, the door shook and that was it. We were gone. We got into the car left. The next time we went back, it wasn’t the same. Now I cannot find the school, it was always a pain to find. Thanks to survelliance I won’t be going back.

this is a true story…. thats my lil sister that died!!!! This is how the story went…. …. Sunday night before school she had a sickness.. And she felt better Monday morning, but when she got to school she said she felt reallyyyy badd and i was in 4th grade and she was in 2nd grade. So she went to the nursed office and she layed down and she went to sleep and died…. And the nurse didn’t want anyone to know so she took the body and tried to hide it and when i came into the nurses office to find my little sister, she wasn’t there, and i smelt something really bad and when i looked in a cabnit there she was dead as could be!! i was so MADDDD!!! and SADDDD!!!!!!!!! ::(
