This is wrong. I lived in Kingman Arizona my whole life. The father didn’t come back because he had died. So Luana drowned her children because she didn’t want to see her children suffer. Then she killed herself. Now she wanders Kingman calling out for her children.

Guys hate to tell you this but The mom did not kill the children, The man (husband) went cray (got demon possessed or something of that nature) and slaughtered the family. The voice you hear is of the lil girl who was last to be killed. That place is very very evil and a lot of my friends have gone missing there (seriously went there never came back). I have been there and seen some really scary ****. It is BAD! I advise NOT going there EVER. That place is DEADLY!

I know as a child, around 1965, a man was found in the canyon with his throat cut and his windows were rolled up and doors locked. Law enforcement never figured that one out and my Grandmother said the Yodona had struck and not go in the canyon. Do’t know about you but the tale holds true for me.

I was a little skeptic to this story at first like alot of you on here, until my husband, best friend, my 2 toddlers and myself went to visit this canyon. I will have to say some scary stuff happened the last 3 nights we went there. My husband was taking a picture of the FLAT ROCK where she supposevly killed her babies and low and behold without knowing he captured her on camera!!!! This haunt is really nothing to mess with. She was found in the picture peeking her head out from behind the flat rock! and this was after my husband and I had said her name in the canyon. The creepy thing is she was not looking at my husband in the picture, she was looking behind him at our vehicle where my friend, myself and OUR BABIES were. She does look like a bad spirit. She had a evil grin on her face. To be noted, it was not just a orb. It was a full face apparition. We are thinking about sending it in to ghost adventures. Another thing the other two nights we were above the canyon on a mountain and we took random pics to see what we could find, out of 20 semi pics we found 2 main orbs that were really bright and had a mix of red, orange, blue, green, and yellow around/in them. Weird thing about this though, when we were there taking pics we heard a man talking and then the next night he said hi to my husband and friend. pretty creepy ****. so if you do choose to venture down to the canyon, please be careful. Im still getting chills after seeing her demonic face peeking from behind the flat rock and looking at our babies. oh and P.S. The picture was taken right after sunset. It is creapy up there. For sure. I also heard that she had drowned her children. We called her the lady in a white dress. Everyone said you could hear her cry. Everyone used to party out there when I was in high school. I just thought it was cool the story is even on the web.

umm…i think you all have it wrong i am from kingman and my family has been in kingman since 1930 my dad was 12 when the two children died in slaughter house and what he and my grandmother says happend is, the two boy who were 6 and 8 got locked in by some teen boys who set the slaughter house on fire and the two boys burned to death. so there thats the true story.

My friends and I went to investigate early October of last year. We made our way into the canyon, but were stopped because of a mountain lion. Perhaps a sign? I’ve no clue, but it freaked me out.

OK ME AND MY FRIENDS WENT OUT THERE AT 2 IN THE MORNING WE WENT UP TO SLAUGHTER HOUSE WE WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE ROAD ENDED INTO 3 BIG ROCKS THERE WAS HOUSES AROUND AND COULD SEE THE LIGHTS FROM THE BALLFIELD I DONT KNOW IF I WAS AT THE RIGHT PLACE OR NOT BUT IF I WAS THERE IS NOTHING OUT THERE ITS FAKE.SO PLEASE TELL ME IF THAT WAS THE RIGHT PLACE OR NOT

I grew up in Kingman bu don’t live there any longer. While I’ve heard different versions of this story over the years (the ‘real’ version doesn’t really matter); I was always freaked out by the story. I actually grew up in a house right off Hualapai Mtn. Rd very close to Slaughterhouse Canyon. We used to ride our bikes over there all the time. The biggest variation I heard as a kid in the 80′s was a Sleep Hollow knock off. The story discussed that you could hear the woman scream on Halloween night and the family’s dog would come down into town looking for children.

Not the story I heard, my family has been in kingman for over 6 generations. My great great grandma had a small goat farm in slaughterhouse canyon. I have heard different stories that seem more realistic then this one. There used to be an Indian camp in the canyon. And I had heard that Luana was an Indian lady who’s kids had become sick and died, she went crazy and killed herself. I don’t believe the story I was told but it sounds better then the one on this site.
