Sleepy Hollow Lane
It has been rumored that if one stops on the road, rolls down the windows, turns the ignition off, and then yells, “Come to me” three times, he will hear and see many ghosts. The car will the not be able to start until the next morning.

i used to live in the concord community near sleepy hollow, and the only real horror story i know about it is, in the late 70’s it was used as a dump and shoot guns. when the decided to clean it up, people who dumped trash there recived a mysterious letter in the mail from gibson county court informing them of how much they owed for the cleanup…ha, my dad was lucky enough to get one.

I used to have friends in Trenton and we used to go to some country, dirt road–couldn’t tell you the name or location….but something freaky did happen. We were in one of those old big Blazers and all of a sudden *something* impacted us from behind. It was like we’d been rear-ended by another vehicle, so we all turned around to see who’d hit us since no one had seen any headlights approaching. Nothing was there. The driver started the vehicle and put it it drive and stomped on the gas and we didn’t move for what seemed like an eternity–probably only a few seconds. It was as if the wheels weren’t touching the ground or something. Then we took off FAST after those initial few seconds. FREAKED ME OUT and never went back again!

Yeah, this is ****. I have walked the length of this road at night several times. I’ve never encountered anything except for meth-heads and drunk teenagers.

I dont know if this is the same road or not, but i went on a trip somewhere near trenton with a couple of my friends to check out a road with a ghost story about 3 years ago. The story was if you drove down this ridge cut road around 1 am your car would die until the morning. So we went to check it out and waste some time. We drive around for a bit waiting for 1 and we hit the road, lit up not really expecting anything but maybe a spook, and sure enough the car stops. At first of course i thought it was my friend trying to **** with us, but we all got out and checked the engine and tried starting it and it just wouldnt. So about 2am we call some ppl trying to see how we’re gonna get out of there and another car comes opposite direction and pulls over to use to see whats up. The couple decides to let us cram in the back seat and take us off the ridge so we wont get hit by a dui or anything and their car wont start back up. So now we are all stranded in the cold with no heat and no one to come get us. Then of course on cue we start hearing noises, rocks falling, engine sounds, it all sounded distant but loud. We were in our cars by now just trying to stay warm. The couples car was facing ours on the shoulder farthest from the cliff. All of the sudden we hear a scream and a loud thump as we are looking at the other car we see something falling and hit the roof of their car, like the size of a dog, dark in color. We all got out to see what it was, when we looked at the car there was a big as dent right on the roof but no scratches, we looked around to see what could have done it and we couldnt find anything close to the size of what we saw. The like clock work or something else, a few minutes pass and we are both able to get our cars started. Freakiest thing ive ever experienced

Ok for those who ask why would you do that? some of the people that do it go to see for themselves if it is really true…Nerds are us dude…Your wrong…by my opinion…just because you havn t seen a ghost does not mean they aer not there. im a see it to believe it person and i have seen PLENTY of ghosts.Just because you dont believe in it doesnt mean they are not here. And for the so called “christians” that think that there are no ghost and that there is only a heaven and a hell and no in between, and tht if your seeing “ghost” they are demons…where where in the bible does it say tht ghost arnt real???it actually does state tht there is paranormal activity that happens THAT ARE NOT DEMONS!

not far from trenton is a town called guthrie, now in guthrie is a road called port royal and if you go down port rpyal there is a really old farmhouse (it sicks out, its also my great-grandmothers house) now the story goes that one of the previous owners daughters, elizabeth, moved to chicago and got married to a man named john. Later after they got married john joined the cival war, and died. Elizabeth was so shocked she moved back to tennessee in her old house with her parents, (now there are two rooms upstairs one green and one red) and commited suicide out the window of the red room and was buried in the grant family cematary in the houses backyard. ive seen her in the window of the red room from outside. ive also heard she dwells in the basment and graveyard too. when we re-painted the red room and got a new welcome mat she wrote welcome on the wall upstairs.my cousin also swears that if you go into the old barn at night that you see someone hanging but thats a different story ( the house has tons of ghost storys). the basement has steps out side too but not the kind with the door, but there is one at the bottom if you go downsatirs and knock on the door 3 times and call her name she appears to you at night.

It may not be proven, but as a novice paranormal investigator here in Tennessee, I have noticed spirits draw off of any energy source. Cameras, Cars, Lights, Radios, Humans, etc. So it very possible that if there are spirits here, and enough materialzation, they could stall your car indefinately. But that many spirits in one place is very uncommon, and the only plae I have had luck with vocal command is Ft. Donelson in Stewart County.
Also as well, for those of the non-believers or die hard skeptics, please do not trash us. Leave the commenting for those with an open mind. Little Hint: If you are skeptic you will more than likely never see a ghost. Free your mind.

Been there done that, I live in Milan. This so called “haunted road” is a fake, I’ve been out there plenty of times and taken alot of people out there so they can experience it. Nothing ever happens but it is fun to watch people freak out that actually do beleive something will happen. It’s all in the “atmosphere” of being out ghost hunting that you start thinking that you saw something, (i’ve never had trouble with my car starting). Anyway, it’s not much fun anymore, it’s no longer a gravel road and they’ve cut down alot of the surrounding wooded area. If you are just looking for a little fun to scare your date or something, might as well check out the “Doll House” or “Seven Gates of Hell” fields both found here in West Tn.

I was there back in the 70’s. Something very strange happened and I still to this day do not know what it was all about. We were told there was a big oak tree (which we found) and there was a house there at one time. We parked there for a few min. but nothing happened. WE pulled out to go on down the road and looking to our left there was a line of trees. All of a sudden about 50 or more men walked straight out of the woods towards us. They had NO hunting stuff. Had NOTHING in their hands. They all walked in unison. Why were they there? What were they doing?
We saw car lights down the rd and kept going. Got over the hill and NO CAR and no where to turn off. So by then we were getting scared and left.
I would still like to know what these men were doing. It was very weird.

This was made up because all the kids used to hang out here and drink among other things. I have lived right eside there all my life as well as I can look out my back door and see this road. The only thing scary about this is the name of the road
