Some railroad tracks on the south side of town (the sticks)
While on the way home, a bus full of first and second graders broke down while driving across these railroad tracks. Rather than going to look for help, the driver told the children to get off the bus and push it across the tracks; they were struck down by a train. Now it is said that if one drives to the site and puts the car in neutral, it will be pushed over the tracks. Allegedly if one spreads baby powder on the back of the car before going to the site, he will see fingerprints when he leaves.

We live in San Antonio and have gone to “the tracks” several times. A fun place to bring the sceptic! First you drive up and over the track go down the road and turn around to face the tracks. Just as everyone has said you do the powder, put your car in neutral and wait. “Yes” your car or in our case a Tahoe SUV, will begin to roll along the road and over the tracks. Unfortunately, we have never seen the hand prints! Some say the reason for the rolling is an optical illusion, the the road actually runs down hill toward the tracks, must be a very level grade. BUT I will tell you this, if you get out of your car and place a ball on the road, it does not roll, stays were you placed it! Real or not, we have been there and the car WILL roll down the road and over the tracks.

Well I have heard a lot of different stories about the rail road haunting I heard that there was this bus and that it got stuck on the rail road track and the bus would not move by the time they tried to move it the train hit it and all the lil children died and if you go and sit on the rail road track and put baby powder on the back of your car then put it into neutral the lil children spirits will push you over the rail road to saftey and all the streets around that area are named after the lil children that died that was the story I heard when I lived down in San Antonio

I was there last year with my sister and nephew. We did a little research on the site before going. Apparently there is no documented information about there ever being a school bus accident there. Nothing in the newspapers and nothing in the police reports. Also, one of the articles we read said that although the ground appears level it actually isn’t which is why the car will roll when put into neutral. Our car did roll but there were no fingerprints on the powdered bumpers whatsoever. Given the fact that an accident of the magnitude which supposedly happened there would have lots of publicity – and there is none to be found – I’m inclined to believe it’s a hoax. Sorry folks.

Hi my name is Bob Jacobs and I recently had an encounter with this railroad crossing. It was the day before Halloween and me and my wife happened to be in San Antonio for a short vacation. Well we had some people in our hotel that were talking about this story and we overheard them and asked for directions to the site. It took me a while to find it and I got lost in a rundown part of town but I finally found it.By now it was 2:15AM and noone was around. We had baby powder and put it on the back of the trunk. I got in the car and put it into neutral. We waited and waited. It was kinda scary and very calm and quiet. Then all of a sudden it happened.
My wife screamed at the top of her lungs. There was a fat little chubby mexican boy at the passenger window. He had a stripped shirt on and his face was pale white. His eyes were solid black and as soon as we saw him he disappeared and it scared the hell out of us. I know this sounds fake but i guarantee you it is real. We didnt even stick around to wait to be pushed over the tracks.I started the car and got out of there as fast as possible. There is something bad there and I will never return to that place.

I LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO , AND YES THIS IS FOR REAL , ACTUALLY IT GIVES ME THE CREEPS BECAUSE I’M WONDERING IF THEY’RE PUSHING YOU TO GET OUT OF THE TRACKS BECAUSE THE TRAIN IS COMEING TO SAVE YOU , OR THEY’RE PUSHING YOU TOWARDS THE TRAIN SO THE TRAIN CAN GET YOU , IT IS A MYSTERY , ON MY CAR I PUT BABYPOWDER AND COULD CLEARLY SEE AN ADULT HAND PRINTED , I WOULD BELIEVE THAT WOULD BE THE BUSDRIVERS HAND , AND A COUPLE OF SMALL HANDS ALSO , SO AS OF THAT EXPERIENCE I NEVER GO BACK , TO ME I JUST LET THEM TRY TO REST IN PEACE .

o my god! i totally beleive it but i’ve read that it never happened. so well i don’t know, but i kinda wanna go there and see. i read that the road is tilted and the car will get enough momentum to roll over the tracks by itself and that the baby powder will pick up finger prints from when you touched your bumper before. so… thats what i’m saying i don’t know if it’s true but that’s what i’ve read so there you go.

There are places that look as if you are going up a hill by the way the land is set but, in fact you could be going down a hill. We had one in Missouri we used to put the car at the bottom of the hill and it would go backwards up the hill when it was even shut off. It was called gravity hill since they thought it was really a mess up in the gravity there. Of course it was just the optical illusion that you were going up the hill when in fact you were going down hill.
See what I mean. Anyway, I was doing a section on ghost webcams and tales ect on my site in the past. I have found so far not much you hear it true. Kind of like the news and papers in the usa *Most Is BS* but, maybe one day I will go with logic to check it out. ZolaEnterprises.com has even tried the evps but, found that to be nothing possible so far at all.

I have been to those tracks and I decided to put some powder on the back of the car(it did take time to convince my mom though) and I saw fingerprints!! they were of little kids. but the legend of how it started is different, it was just that there were a bunch of kids in the bus and the train ran over them. well this story is definitely true.

I sent my boyfriend there with his family. He said an old Indian drove past them as they put the car in neutral and rolled over the tracks. They thought something was odd, so they took a bottle of water and poured it on the ground. The water went over the tracks. The old Indian came back and laughed at them. He said, “we call it gravity!” It is an illusion that the road is level. It is actually on a slant and the gravity causes the cars to roll across the tracks. No one has ever been able to find official records that ever prove a school bus went over the tracks. Nowadays it is a dangerous place to go, especially at night, but not because of ghosts, but rather because of violence.

It’s funny, I lived in San Antonio for two and half years in the early 90’s and never heard that story. When I lived in Corpus Christi, I heard about the bus full of kids that got hit by a train and will push a car in neutral over the tracks. Apparently, it happened there too. I also heard the story in Odem, TX. Seems like if something like this was true, hundreds (if not thousands) of people would be visiting these sites every year. Also seems like there would be some kind of record about it. If someone had actual footage of the “ghostly little kids”, wouldn’t it have made it onto the news?
I have had a few paranormal experiences myself and initially thought this was true (15 years ago) but have come to realize that it’s a hoax. To those who claim it’s true, I have a few questions.
A – why would the kids push your car off the tracks over and over again, never realizing your doubting them?
B – why is is that the story is always told on tracks that are on a hill/incline, never a flat area?
C – have you heard the phrases, “mass hysteria”? urban legend? ghost story?
