Real Haunted House

Some railroad tracks on the south side of town (the sticks)

San Antonio, Texas

While on the way home, a bus full of first and second graders broke down while driving across these railroad tracks. Rather than going to look for help, the driver told the children to get off the bus and push it across the tracks; they were struck down by a train. Now it is said that if one drives to the site and puts the car in neutral, it will be pushed over the tracks. Allegedly if one spreads baby powder on the back of the car before going to the site, he will see fingerprints when he leaves.

I’m sure many others above already stated that there is no such collision in any historical records at this location. The names of the streets are from the land developers family. However, I do have a friend that did this when he lived there years ago, and since it was a foggy night with dew on the car, they didn’t bother with powder. He said he was in the backseat, and as they killed the car, it lurched forward as if it had been tapped by another car, and he physically saw little hand prints appear on the back and side windows in the wetness of the dew.

This is not true. The road is downhill. There is a slight slope uphill, but the force of being pulled downhill is greater.

The residents in the area would greatly appreciate everyone to quit trying it as it is disturbing, since it is usually done at night, as well as holds up traffic.

Sonya you dummy if you lived in San Antonio than you would know that this story is true. Even i heard of it and i live in New Braunfels why would somebody say this? You must be desprate to say sumthing like this.Even if there was no records it still happend a long time ago. Do you think they would have records of this accident? you go drive your car on the tracks and explain the kids fingerprints on your car when you experiance it yourself. and them come back and tell us what happend and what feeling you felt as you did it.

I am from Harlingen,TX, My husband my four children and I went by Shane Rd. off of Southton Rd. in San Antonio several years ago. After we went over the tracks several times my eldest son still did not believe this could be happening, He said it was probably the magnetics from the tracks that cause the van to go over the tracks. So he climbed behind the van and held to the top, as the van was going over the hill and over the tracks he jumped off quickly because he felt some one grabbing his legs. He could not believe what had just happened it really scared him he caught up to the van jumped in and wanted to leave fast. I think that made him a believer. In our case as we got home we had several wierd things happen. Cell phone lights would go on in middle of the night with no in coming calls or text coming in, kitchen lights would also blink now I don’t know that, that might of been a Coincidence but it was wierd.

Alright, I’m going to make this quick. I’ve lived in San Antonio for a long time now. And I’ve visited this site about a million times. The scene is quite something else. I Would highly recommended going around the hours of 9pm-3am. As for the story it’s just some tale someone made up and it’s been kept alive by the people.
As for the site, like I said it’s something else.., the mood is very depressing and it always seems like something is watching you from the woods. Driving your car over the tracks is just gravity thing. As for the baby powder that can be explained fairly easy, THERE YOUR HANDS AND FINGERS! Oils from your hands tend to rub off of you at times people. I’ve heard story’s of people seeing things down the gravel sides of the tracks, I don’t know much about these sightings other then most of the time it’s always something floating around then running into the woods around the area. Also if you plan on going please bring a weapon for you own safety!!!!! There are satanist in the area, what they do there I don’t have a clue. But people have been attacked by these people. A friend of mine a while back that it would be funny to venture around some of the woods around the tracks and soon found himself ambushed by a mob of these people. He got away safe but need-less to say he got banged up pretty bad for trespassing around there. so please ***!!MAKE SURE YOU BRING SOMETHING TO PROTECT YOURSELF WITH.!!****

This really works, I went there about a month ago and we turned off our car, put it in neutral and it started rolling over the hill. You could clearly tell that there is a hill there when you are driving up look at and you can see. Its very crazy, I believe in all this kind of stuff. If you do do this you have make sure you don’t park on the tracks you are suppost to park a little ways behind them. The back of your car should be the distance away from the tracks like the back end of a bus.

ok, from a skeptics point of view…. I fully researched this location before my husband and I went to the tracks during our last trip to San Antonio. Despite there being no records of an accident on those tracks, it was still an intriguing place to visit. We doused the back of my van with baby powder and did judt as we were directed by our SA friend with us. Just like the legend says, your vehicle WILL proceed over the RR tracks. The handprints you see on your vehicle, well those you actually do see, but like stated so many times previously here, it is the oils from your own hands or those of your loved ones. Even after washing your vehicle many times with the strongest oil-stripping dishsoap, the residual oils from your hands stay on your vehicle for a very long time, through many washes. However, what we could not explain was the small childs handprint near the top of our van, well out of reach of any of our children. We also noticed that when my husband stood behind the vehicle with me behind the wheel, in neutral, the van simply would not move. When he stepped about 10 feet to the side of the van, it started to roll. It is true that Shane Road is a very slight downhill slope, barely noticeable to the naked eye, however, if you stop in the area right before the RR tracks, it does go uphill to go over the tracks. As for there being satanists out there, well, maybe thats just a legend too, as we saw nothing but other people doing the same thing that we were doing and nothing more, no children laughing in the woods, no screams, nothing.

I think it is a very cool place that gives you the creeps, even if you are a skeptic, as the illusion you get is of your vehicle going uphill on its own and over some RR tracks. And that is seemingly unnatural and at first experience is totally unexplainable.

We will be visiting San Antonio in just a few weeks and I plan to take my 3 children there for the first time and scare the daylights out of them, lol

About the tracks, the telephone pole near the tracks.About after midnight, you will hear some kids screaming.
Here’s some tips on to see the fingerprints on the car, before you go over the tracks.
1.Go to the nearest car wash, and wash it good, use the foam brush, and dry it real good, make sure there’s no prints on it.
2.About 100 yards, shut off your engine, put your foot on the brake, put the gear on neutral.
3.After you go over the tracks, safley pull over the car,and put the baby powder lightly, and blow it off easy, and you will see the small fingerprints of kids.

When I saw it i was shocked,so I went back to the car wash, and washed it,foam brushed, rinsed it,waxed it then drive on the road to air dry it.Then I dried it with a shami real good, got my flashlight, and cheak to see if there’s no fingerprints.I drove back for the second time to the tracks, and tried it again, did the baby powder, and the finger prints appeared again.I did it twice.

San Antonio has a haunted history, especialy downtown.
