Real Haunted Houses

Real Haunted House

Some railroad tracks on the south side of town (the sticks)

San Antonio, Texas

While on the way home, a bus full of first and second graders broke down while driving across these railroad tracks. Rather than going to look for help, the driver told the children to get off the bus and push it across the tracks; they were struck down by a train. Now it is said that if one drives to the site and puts the car in neutral, it will be pushed over the tracks. Allegedly if one spreads baby powder on the back of the car before going to the site, he will see fingerprints when he leaves.

Well I know this story is true, but it went another way the driver did not tell the kids to push the bus. It was foggy and the bus brokedown in the middle of the tracks and the train hit it everyone died except the driver he was in a mental hosp.I used to live in San Antonio. So I got to go there. The neighboorhood that waS built there has all the childrens are the streets names….. Seen it !!!

I was born and raised in San Antonio, and yes, if you park, put your car in nuetral, and wait, your call will get pushed over the tracks, I can promise you that. However, I highly doubt that it is because of a train accident.

I went there my freshman year of college about 10 years ago. I didn’t see any ghosts or try putting any baby powder on the tail end of the car, but something did happen. We were in neutral for about 5 minutes when the car started rolling uphill about 10 yards and over the tracks. My best guess would be that it has something to do with optics and gravity or something to that effect. However, I can’t rule out anything supernatural. I only know what happenned and I can say that this one is positively true – ghosts or not.

Hey guys. I went to the ghost tracks last year. All I can say is be careful, because over recent years theres been several murders of people while they’re out there messing with their cars. Not by ghosts or anything, but by the people that live around there. Of course I didn’t know that before I took a car full of friends there. Fun story though:

On our way there we were passed by a white pickup on the little two lane road before you get to the tracks. It passed us going really fast and I though nothing of it a 1/2 mile or so down the road he turned around and came back towards us in our lane! Luckily, a little bit before he got to us he swerved back over to his lane. I dismissed the whole thing because he then just kept driving and eventually we didn’t see him again.
We proceeded to the ghost tracks and went over a few times, and had some fun. Then we parked the car and the three girls that had ridden there with me got out to do the baby powder thing(although we didn’t have baby powder, because all I had with me was shaving cream). While they were spreading this on the back of my car the white truck pulled up onto the tracks and the guy opened his door and began to get out.
The guy got one foot on the ground and the girls screamed and I yelled for them to get back in the car and we sped off. The guy then got back in his truck and spun the truck around and chased after my car. My car sucks so he was able to go much faster than me, so the onlly way I got away was from making all kinds of random turns through neighborhoods until I eventually made it to a main road with lots of people, and he stopped and turned around and didn’t keep after us.
Now its a fun story, but at the time it was pretty scary. So if you go, be careful, and keep an eye out for anyone around who seems suspicious.

Having grown up in SA, I know the legend well. Having been named Shane, the tracks myth is my all time favorite. I hate to admit it, but its all an optical illusion. You are actually up higher than the tracks wen you stop your car. I was a true believer until we went over it one night in a friends 1 ton pickup. * of us in there and the truck still rolled easily. The next daty I went out and checked it out in the sunlight. I rolled an empty beer can from the bed of my truck from the starting point. It slowly picked up speed and went over the tracks without struggle.
The streets names has always been a classic touch too. They ARE all named after children, this is true. But, named after the architects friends and family’s children.

there a similar this in Pflugerville, Texas called Jake’s Bridge.
the stroy is that a man named jake was a cotton famer and him and his family lived in a house on top of a hill. well, jake’s cotton field caught fire and he knew him and his family were going to be homeless so to “help” them he took them to a bridge and killed them and then hung himself off the side. now if you go to the bridge and put your car in neutral and turn it off you will begin to be pushed across the bridge. now i have personally been there and the bridge is plat but when you are across the bridge you begin to be pushed slightly uphill. then when you begin to stop and roll back down you are oushed back up. and it seems that you are rocking back and forth.

People can believe what they want. I have never been there myself, and so I can’t say if it’s true or not. I have never seen if the road goes downhill or uphill. I do know that my friend went with his wife, and their car moved over the tracks. Also, little finger prints showed up on the back of their car. Their friend that they were with videotaped the whole thing. The video also included them cleaning the back of their car with a paper towel and Windex, and then applying the baby powder right before putting their car into neutral. The finger prints still showed up. I don’t know how that fits into the equation of it being oils from previously being touched, because Windex works pretty well on glass with getting rid of fingerprint smudges.

By the way, my friend put their videotaped experience on the tracks on YouTube, and for those wondering the location of the tracks…. they are on Shane Street.

I lived in texas for my whole childhood and this story was spread around and changed over the years but i know for a fact that my uncle bubba (R.I.P) and i went to these tracks when i was a boy and he spread baby powder all over the tailgate of his truck. We sat in the truck for about 20 to 30 min. with the truck in neautral before it started to roll up a slight incline and over the track. When the truck came to a stop we both got out and went to the tailgate. You could see slight fingerprints and little children handprints barely noticeble but they were there
